1. I asked for a jewelry cleaner for christmas and recieved this one as a gift. It is very loud when operating and the lid vibrates because it does not shut tight. I have to put a heavy book on top of it to keep the noise down. Also it only comes with four cleaning soultion packets and suggests that you change the solution at each use. The solution is somewhat hard to find.
   
   I only gave this two stars because it DOES get my rings sparkling, but with the loud operation and hard to find solution I would not reccomend it.



2. I like this model because it does a great cleaning job and unlike many others, you don't need to use it near a faucet. It has a separate rinse compartment that you fill with water so you don't need to be near the tap. You only need to change the cleaning solution in the other compartment every few months. I have mine in a dressing area. I put my diamond ring in the side with the cleaning solution every night and then run it for a few minutes in the morning. Then I transfer it to the rinse compartment, dry it off and it's ready to wear. Unlike the other reviewer, I did not find the low humming noise to be a problem.
