- This train is very easy for my daughter (21 months) to ride - just push/hold a button and it starts immediately. The Thomas the Tank Engine train is much more difficult to ride - you have to hold down the button for several seconds before the train will start and the younger kids don't understand that concept. My daughter has really enjoyed the train and it has worked well.
- I bought this as a christmas present for my 17 month old son and he loves it. I purchased the extra tracks and together even thought it takes alot of space it was not only a great deal but he wont get off it. My daugter is six and even she can ride it. Great product.
- Ordered this (sort of late) for my 16 month old grandson for Christmas. The seller pulled through and it arrived on time (with a few days to spare). At first my grandson loved it....then it derailed and he fell off and it scared him. He wouldn't get back on it for 3 days, but after a little coaxing, we managed to get him to give it another try. He loves it!! I'm afraid my daughter is going to unhook the horn, though. It drives her crazy. Be sure and keep everything out of the way of the tracks....his dog was laying on the tracks and he almost ran over her (she yelped away...to safety).
- My 11 month old received this for xmas. He was a little scared of it at first but loves it now. I think riding around in a circle is a bit boring but he thinks it's great and loves that he can control it.
- My son loves to ride this train which makes it worth the trouble. It is a little high maintenance in the sense that it needs to be charged whenever it is not in use but cannot be charged for more than 30 hrs. It comes with a warning saying that not doing so can void warranty on the battery. And it needs to be charged for 16 hrs before initial use.
Also, there is no on/off switch so the child needs to hold down the button to make it go. Overall, it is a good toy, you can't ask too much considering the price.

- We bought this for my son's second birthday. He's 4 and a half now and still rides on it all of the time, without the track. This thing just keeps going and going. We plan to give it to another kid who just turned 3. Charge the battery about once a week and it's good to go. We highly recommend it.
- I highly recommend this item. My husband and I charged the battery and put what little there was together of the train and stashed it away in the spare bedroom so when our 19 month old daughter was done opening her other Christmas gifts we could just pull it out. She immediately said choo choo train, toot toot! She proceeded to climb on and press the go button like she was born to ride it. She took off around the house crashing into walls with the dogs barking and chasing her because we had not laid down the track yet. Oh what fun it was to watch her ride. We immediately put the track together, very easy I might add, and around she went (no more crashing into walls). She played on the train the first day for at least an hour that moring and at least a half hour two more times that day. Any one with an 19 month old knows that is a long time to keep one that age amused. She plays with the train everyday and always with a huge smile. Love, love, love this item. Well made, great quality, worth every penny.
- My recommendation to Peg Perego is hire a new writer for your company's "Use and Care Manuals."
Some suggestions for the Santa Fe Train Set (model: IGED 1084) Manual's writer:
(1)Add the word "MULTIPLE" before the word "adult" in the statement, "Adult assembly required." [i.e., "Multiple Adult Assembly Required"] (2) Explain that the assembly plant will be providing Phillips screws that are LARGER THAN THE HOLES intended for the screws. (3) Although the writer does a fine job explaining the battery installation, it will be helpful to EXPLAIN HOW TO SECURE THE ENGINE'S WHEELS using the foot pedals. Go ahead and INCLUDE DIAGRAMS for this portion of assembly as you did in other parts of the manual.
Peg Perego's Primo Viaggio SIP Infant Seat was reviewed in 2006 (along with other infant seats) for its "Ease of Use." NOT SURPRISING that the only *B* rating they received was in the category of EVALUATION OF INSTRUCTIONS.
Peg Perego! YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!!!
P.S. When the Ft. Wayne customer service reps are not available by phone, I suggest *NOT* saying, "Due to an emergency, we cannot help you. Call Back"
P.P.S. Close to 3 weeks following delivery, this story has a happy ending. THE KIDS DO LIKE THE TRAIN! [sigh of relief!]
- My Daughter loves this toy, very easy set up and take down. Very easy to put together. My daughter doesn't go a day without riding a couple of laps. Even gives her stuffed animals a ride with the extra car. Great absoultly great!!

- My son is enjoying the bike but it came with a big crack in the plastic engine. I called to see about getting a replacement part and I have to prove my purchase, take a photo of the piece that is cracked, and email them copies of everything, just to get them to ship me a new piece of plastic.
Why would I want a piece to something if I didn't buy it or it wasn't cracked? They can see by their records it was shipped to me within the last couple of days. I find this to be very irritating.

5 comments about John Deere Gator w/ seat belts.
- We have mixed feelings about the tractor. It looks adorable and my 3 year old loved it the first week. His 1 1/2 year old brother loved sitting in the passenger seat while his big brother learned how to drive. I expect they will regain interest as they get older and learn to have better control of it. We are disappointed that it couldn't make it up the small incline to our neighbor's yard. It did pretty well on the driveway incline, but not dirt. We are also disappointed that the reverse broke within the first week. My husband took it apart, tried gluing the part into place, but the glue didn't set well. He managed to fix it, but for the price we paid for the tractor, I am disappointed anything broke within the first week. We are also disappointed in the truck bed. The hooks to keep it closed already seem worn after only a few weeks of play.
- I must agree with all the other reviews. The Gator is loads of fun for my 3 year old son. He drives all day. Battery life is very impressive. It has been over a month of non-stop driving in our yard. Our drive way is loose gravel so it would slip a bit but I took care of that by placing a load on the bed; works great.
We started my son on the low gear but he soon found the shifter. This is my only dissapointment with the product. The shifter is made out of plastic, as is the entire vehicle, and not very durrable. It is almost broken off completely from my son shifting. Should be made out of at least solid plastic not hollow...medal would be best for the price tag! Now I am stuck trying to look for a way to fix the shifter.
However, other than the shifter problem my son loves it. I am hoping the gears and the tires last :o) from all his driving.
- My son is 5 years old and he has had a battery operated jeep wrangler since 2 years old he luvs. However, he would complain he could never carry anything in his jeep and I decided to buy him the John Deere Gator.
I had researched other similar products and came to the conclusion this one fit his needs for fun and being able to help out and carry items or our dog when we worked or played in the yard.
The Gator was very easy to assemble and it was ready in less than an one hour. Basically you have to put on the windshield, truck bed, rear wheel guards, seats, seat belt and stickers. However, you must charge the battery at least 18 hours on the first charge according to the instructions. I would suggest anyone buying this to plug in the battery at least a day before giving the Gator to a child so they will be ready to ride.
The Gator has some serious power as my wife sat in the back and our son drove her around the yard. She is 120 pounds and it just cruised right around no problems. The only issue and its no biggie is the plastic wheels. They do not grip very well in grass and dirt on an incline and is what I expected since they are PLASTIC! However, to solve this problem i put electrical tape around the center portion of the wheels and this helped tremendously with traction. Also, one can buy special made rubber bands that fit on the wheels to increase traction but the tape worked for us.
I give this 5 stars...so far has proved very durable, battery life has been good, the adjustable seats are a big plus and the reverse is nice to get out of the tight spots.
- My son and the kids in the neighborhood love this toy. It is by far the favorite ride on toy in our court. They love putting stuff in the back and haul it around. They even like being the passenger. It drives really well in the grass and on the pavement. We bought this for my son used. It didn't work when we fist bought it, but called Peg Perego and they helped troubleshoot the problem. They were so helpful(the best customer service I have ever had), It needed a new motor, they shipped it out for only 11.00, and it was very easy to repair. This is one of the greatest things about this company they make it easy to do all of your own repairs, instead of having to bring it in to a repair shop which is costly. The replacement parts are also very affordable. Power Wheels won't let you do your own repairs; they won't even sell you the parts.
- well many things about this product need to be pointed out.. but I will start with this... the tires are so smooth that the spin just trying to go up our driveway.. i feel like i need to invent some rubber tires for it. the dump bed is also very flimsy.. on the other hand my son still loves it..

5 comments about John Deere Farm Tractor & Trailer.
- When we opened this toy to assemble, we discovered that the toy was not battery-powered. The box, however, was marked "with non-spill battery". The item on-line was advertised as battery-powered. I am very disappointed and my grandson's 3rd birthday is now diminished because he will not be getting this tractor. [...]
- I had to write a review after seeing only negative ones. We got this for my son when he was 15 months. He absolutely loved it. At 2 1/2 he still loves riding his tractor. Our 4 year old neighbor enjoys riding it too. The reason I gave it 4 stars for durability is because one of the pedals fell off and won't stay on. This does not really cause any problems, my son can pedal without the "pedal" attached.
- My 3yr old received this tractor as a gift and he absoulty loves it. The pedal did come off same with other reviewers but he can still pedal easily without it. We also have the peg perego motorcycle and I like the tractor better because it is a pedal toy. This gives his little legs a workout and wears him out. The battery powered toys only wear out mom and dad who are walking alongside.
- I bought this for my son a year ago for his 3rd birthday. He loved it then and still does. It does not ride well on grass unless you are going down hill. However, we go all over the neighborhood on the sidewalks. He is as proud as can be while he rides it. We have not had any durability problems and he rides it a lot. I think this toy will be passed down to our 1 year old in good condition for many more years of enjoyment.
- My [...]son loves this tractor even though he hasn't learned how to pedal yet. It's very similar to Daddy's and he's thrilled by that alone. I wasn't sure how to rate hte educational value; I mean it's a a ride-on tractor not a book or a learninn device. The overall tractor is built well, but the trailer is sub par. The component used to keep the tractor and trailer together constantly comes off and doesn't keep the two attached well. And if you should happen to misplace the component then you're at a disadvantage. We recently upgraded to the two seater John Deere Gator (battery-powered) and both my son and [...]daughter can drive it (although my son hasn't learned how to steer just yet!). Very happy with both purchases and recommend Peg Perego John Deere equipment.

- This John Dere Utility Tractor is adorable. My nearly 2 year old grandson's eyes lit up when he saw it. It took him a while to get the steering wheel, but after a few days riding it into whatever was in front of him he suddenly discovered that the wheel he was holding onto had something to do with the direction. He's exploring that concept now and It is fun to watch. He loves filling the front bucket with balls and rocks and anything he can find and then dumping it all out by my feet. The back end is useless and for appearance only. You can't scoop up anything with it, but it is very cute.
- We bought this for my son's second birthday. He loves it. It was definitely worth the buy. Our only complaint is that there is no way to turn off the moving capability without getting under the hood and disconnecting the battery. Since the accelerator is located where his feet rest, the tractor will take off when he's trying to get on and off. There should be a simple switch on the outside of the tractor body for parents to turn the "go power" off in case of an emergency.
- My two year old son was given this for Christmas and has been having a great time. He quickly learnt how to use the foot pedal but hasn't managed the steering yet. I do wish it had a reverse function but I don't think he cares. My six, seven, and eight year olds have also had a great time with it. The front end loader has been used for carrying numerous things with great success.

2 comments about Figure 8 Conversion Track (Brown).
- This addition to our track arrived boxed fine, no damage, but the ends were warped to the point that the train wasn't powerful enough to plow over the lips it created. They must have been stored in a hot warehouse. Its too bad because they make the ride more interesting than just the oval. Although I think my little guy would have just as much fun without this conversion. Keep your money and try it first without this addition.
- I got this in conjuction with the train and i'm glad i did because even thought it takes alot of space my son loves it. The tracks that come with the train is not enough.

- We got this tractor for our son when he was three. Unfortunately, he was too short to pedal and use the dumper at the same time, he just couldn't reach. He got so frustrated when he would try to reach for the dumper handle. The seat is adjustable, but only two different positions. The left pedal broke completely off within a month, and it took three months to get one in the mail (of course they are special types, so you can't just run down to the hardware store to buy a new one). They just kept us waiting! Meanwhile, my son had the entire summer tractorless. After the pedal was replaced, the dump basket came off. We gave up on reordering a new one, and he rode it without the dumper. He rode this tractor until he was six, by sitting on the backrest with his rearend overhanging the tractor. He was too tall for it then, but wouldn't give it up. We finally sold it in a garage sale, and got a good price for it, even after all those years, and still without the dumper part. My son still remembers riding this tractor, and we have lots of cute pictures of him on it. If the parts weren't so hard to get in the mail, I would really recommend this to all smaller boys, but until they start mailing things on a timely manner, it's extremely frustrating! This tractor has a chain drive inside the casing, so you can't see the chain itself unless you take off the bottom of the tractor. Also, you have to take off the bottom of the tractor in order to adjust the seat position too. Fun for all kids, even girls!
- I got this for our grandson who is 3 years old and he just loves it. I was very happy with the solid construction and the chain drive.
The colors are vibrant and with the decals it looks like the real deal.
Shipment was prompt and overall a good experience.
- I bought this tractor for my grandson's 4th birthday and he just loves it! I was so pleased to see that he really can pedal on grass and dirt as they said. Those large tires in the back make it possible. He loves to collect leaves and dump them at another part of the yard. I would not recommend this for a child who is small for his age. My grandson is tall and can just reach the handle to work the bucket.
- We bought this for our 2 year old grandson. He's really impressed with the real thing (Grandpa's big John Deere) so we were happy that this toy has a very realistic appearance. He was thrilled and had to fight his 5 year old sister for driving rights. He's not quite mastered the pedals, but he is already in love with it. On the negative side, the assembly instructions were pathetic. My farmer husband and I (collision repair center manager) took 2.5 hours to assemble the toy. Maybe ours was a little 'off', but even if the parts had assembled easily, which they didn't, we would have had to backtrack to get the decals on properly. Then, after it was together, the grandson found out by accident how to lower the bucket. I highly recommend this toy, but allow plenty of time to assemble and have your common sense turned on.

5 comments about Battery 12 volt (Drop Ship Pack).
- Even though my son's Corvette was purchased at Toys R Us, this replacement battery cannot be purchased there. I went online and purchased it from Amazon, only to receive it with a broken carry housing and to find out that the connector is not compatible with the car. Now I find out that I cannot return the battery to or through Amazon, but instead must go to the manufacturer! I'm ready to throw everything in the garbage! What a pain!
- It took a while longer than I thought it would and when it did come, the case was damaged. I used duct tape to get it back together as my grandson was dying to try out the car and we needed the battery. The return issues were too much of a pain. It would have been nice if the shipper had bothered to check it before sending it. I most likely would not order products from this site again.
- I also looked into purchasing this item, but read an earlier review of someone who placed a small 12 volt lawn tractor or motorcycle battery into the toy gator with success. I purchased a 12 volt motorcycle battery and used the connector from the previous dead prego battery. This allowed me to attach the new motorcycle battery to the gator. When I removed the wires from the old battery I removed the blue cap, and was able to save the fuse that is built in. Anyway, it works great was half the cost, and I can hook it up to my 12 volt battery charger. In order to be the new battery to fit I had to enlarge the battery box, by doing some cutting. I was not real pretty, but my daught is not picking dates up with it.
- The car without the battery is of no use. A good battery is a must to enjoy the toy and this is the perfect battery recommended by the manufacturer.
- I follow the 18hour rule with use of this battery on my sons Peg Perego Polaris ATV. No issues at all and he is getting 2+ hours of ride time with each charge. We typically plug in the battery after each use and let the battery charge overnight so about 18hours from the time he puts it up and comes home from kindergarden the next day. Its a little high priced and yes a lawn mower/motorcycle battery will work if your into splicing wires and cutting up your childs ride on...for me it was much easier to get this battery which works great and fits in the space provided....keep it fully charged and it will continue to work for years....
