  1. When I first saw Emily on Amazon, I thought this would be perfect for my three month old since she is just now getting into loving toys (that are appropriate for her age). It had lots of little tinkling things for her to play with and learn on, but I was wondering if 10 bucks was a little high for it. I went ahead and got it thinking it was going be a little bit smaller as just a regular little doll. When the package came, much to my amay, I found it much bigger then what is pictured! It's about half a three month old's size and it's so neat! The little skirt make sounds, the rattle on the neck, twisty toe hair and ties for the shoes, teether from the hands and not to mention I can put it on her car seat to play with when we go to the store or restaurant to keep her entertained and she loved it! She got so excited the first time I gave it to her! Great 5 stars and well worth the money!

  2. This little doll is a huge hit at our house! Our now six month old daughter has enjoyed this toy since she was about 3-4 months old, when we first brought her home from Babies R Us. She loves all of the various textures, sounds and feel-its that Emily has to offer, and I love that she is totally portable, really well-made and can clip on and go with us wherever we go. This toy really is worth every penny and is a perfect companion for strollers, car seats and home!

  3. My eleven year old picked this out as a gift for her one-year old cousin. We were pleased that she was definitely interested in it, she liked the crunchy sound it makes as well as the bright colors!

  4. I purchased this doll for my 2 month old daughter to hang above her changing table for her to look at as I change her and she loves it. She smiles at it each time as if she thinks this is her new friend and she's always happy to see her.

  5. I purchased this doll for my daughter when she was just three and a half months old. At first she didn't have much interest, but one day she fell in love with it. She holds onto the rings so tight and chews on any part she can get into her mouth. The best part is the clip that attaches to the car seat, so it always keeps her quiet in the stores (which makes her MY friend Emily too haha). So if you're looking for something to entertain a little one, the Lamaze toys are a great way to go!

  1. Bought this mainly for the mirror, but we haven't had it attached in months. Our son loves scratching the "triangle cube", touching the different surface materials, and picking it up in various ways.

He is now 5 months old, and it's still his favorite toy.

  2. My son loves this mirror. It is perfect - you can position it however you need and it's soft and lightweight. It's easy to clean. My son loves to watch himself, then look and see me watching behind him. I haven't tried it on his crib yet, but I'm sure it would be great there too. This is some of the best money we've spent on any toy for him.

  3. My daughter loves this mirror. With the back flap you can stand it up on the ground to any postition.

  4. This is a perfect toy for anybaby who is getting to that curiosity age (4 or 5 months) My son loves looking at himself and or mommy in the mirror.

  5. After trying several mirrors out for my 4 month old daughter, I am so happy to have found this one. Unlike others, it stands up on its own which allows her to see it from many different positions. It also can be used as a pillow if you detach the mirror. She loves the bright colors and is always grabbing for this. Hightly recommended!

  1. My 11 week old daughter could not handle tummy time. She would lay on her tummy for 5 mins TOPS and then WAIL! Now when she is on the ladybug she moves herself around and has tripled her tummy time! She did not like it much as first but we worked up to it. She seems to do a little better JUST on the ground, too. Her favorite part is the mirror and will spin herself around everytime to find it! She also likes the bright yellow face of butterfly! :)

  2. I bought the Lamaze Spin & Explore for my daughtet, when it got to my home I opened it and set it up which was really easy. When it was all put together it didn't look like something I wanted to put my daughter on. I was afraid it was going to tip over. It didn't look like it would suppport her. If she wasn't on it just right it looked like it would tip over. I returned it.

  3. I bought this product in an effort to get my little boy on his belly more. When I put him on it, he likes it for about 2 minutes and then freaks out. He's a little over 4 months old and it's clearly for an older baby that can use their arms and legs better. I hope to get some use out of this in the months to come.

  4. Lamaze Spin & Explore Garden Gym

My daughter received this when she was 1 month-old. A little too young, but I set her in it periodically. She is now 4 1/2 months-old and has learned to spin herself around and will stay entertained for about 20 minutes. I have enjoyed it. I was not good at doing tummy time with my older daughter who did not like her tummy and needed to be entertained during tummy time.

  5. I like this product. My daughter is just starting to use it, because she was still a little too small when I purchased it. The mirror wasn't properly attached, so I had to sew down the velcro bottom the mirror attached to. Other than that I've had no problems and I love the bright colors. It is very sturdy and easy to clean.

  1. I bought these for my daughter because she found her feet, and I figured since she was always playing with them I would get her something to put on her feet to play with. I put them on her feet and she loves them. It funny because now she talks to her feet.

  2. My daughter is two months old and LOVES these already. She brings her legs up, and her eyes get wide. Than she giggles, and talks to her feet. It's adorable. This is the best price too, I paid more at the store.

The socks are a wee bit big for a baby her size, but I know she'll grow into them.

  1. After searching everywhere for a moose since my baby fell inloce with Moose A. Moose on Noggin. This little toy is cute and has lots of liitle things (teething ears, jingle feet and rings) to keep her occupied.

  2. Bought this for my 7 month old grandson, he grabs for it and immediately brings it to his mouth, he seems to like the crinkle sound and it also seems to satisfy his teething needs in a way. Plus, this little Mortimer is adorable in all ways. Scored an A+ with this guy.

    Barb

  3. Both my and my friend's 4-month old girls love their Mortimer Moose toys. My daughter will play with hers longer than any of her other toys. I was skeptical - so many of these toys just seem like recipes for overstimulation. But she loves it and really enjoys checking out all the various textures, shapes, etc.

  4. The moose has ears for teething, the feet have crackle in two hoofs and bells in two hoofs. the tail has two rings which can also be chewed on - very nice. It also can be hooked on things.

  5. I cannot review Mortimer the Moose. I was sent the Giraffe instead.
The Giraffe was a good quality toy, but I was dissappointed that I was sent the wrong one with no explanation.

5 comments about Lamaze Where's Caterpillar.
  1. My granddaughter loves this book! She has other similar types of books. They are great for chewing on without getting ruined! No one gets hurt if she throws it! Bright and cheerful colors. Also, very durable!

  2. Every child will enjoy this cloth book that follows a sweet caterpillar on her journey of life and transformation. My little goddaughter counts this splendid story among her favorite choices as she helps lead/pull the caterpillar through the different pictures to reveal a beautiful butterfly in the end. Very child friendly fabric, cheery caterpillar, and butterfly with wonderfully "crunchy" sounding wings with which kids like to interact.

  3. This is a great book for anytime, but it really shines in church or other situations where silence is required. It is so cute, and perfect for babies to chew on. You'll both have fun threading the caterpillar through as you read. And it's nice because it doesn't have the crinkles or squeakers or other noise makers that a lot of other soft books do. Highly recommended!

  4. This is a fun book. The only problem that we have is that it is hard for the little one to get the caterpillar through the hole by himself. It can be come frustrating for them in the very early stages (it could test you to till you get the hang of using it while telling the story.

  5. I purchased this book based on other reviews I read here, and I was not disappointed. My 11 month old son loves it, and I think it will be great for several years. It's very short, but it's a cute book that gives the life cycle of a caterpillar in very easy terms (he eats, then turns into a butterfly at the end).

There are many facets to this simple book. The first is short, simple text that rhymes, along with colorful pictures that are great for young babies. Caterpillar is cute, and he has a rattle that appeals to my young son.

As the baby gets older, he can manipulate the caterpillar through the shapes himself. You can use this to teach shapes (caterpillar goes through a circle, square, and triangle) to your toddler, and can talk about what caterpillars eat and their life cycles to your older toddlers.

I wish I had this book when my son was younger...he chewed up most of his board books, so cloth would have been better.

5 comments about Lamaze Musical Inchworm.
  1. The lamaze toys are mostly the same so save bucks and don't buy too many. Crinkles, squeaks galore. It's not as long as my son and he's 6 months. He does like chewing on it but he likes chewing on almost anything. As another reviewer stated, it's a bit difficult to get the song to play. Still a fun tummy time toy though.

  2. This inchworm is bright, fun, and my daughter loves it. It makes all sorts of different sounds, and the "head" plays music, which cracks her up. You can also measure your little one with the underside...my baby is bigger than the inchworm now, but it was fun to see her growth with this toy. Lamaze toys are the best.

  3. This is a really cute and well made item. Bright, colourful and makes noise. The tune is short enough that it isn't totally irritating. The measurement side is irrevelant for us as our son was longer than the inchworm at 8 weeks (Hes going to be very tall!) It is a shame that it doesn't have a long clip or hook so that it can be clipped to a pushchair(Stroller) and not fall on to the floor. Good value for money.

  4. It's a cute toy though it shouldn't be advertised as a "Musical Inchworm" because the music is not very impressive. The music is similar to that of low-quality greeting card. It's very quiet and tinny, and only turns on when the nose is pressed. The various segments of the inchworm has different senses inside, only one of them actually plays music.

  5. My 3 month old loves this toy. He chews on the little legs and loves the different sounds each piece makes but I just wish that the song that plays when you squeeze the head played longer. I find myself constantly stopping tasks to squeeze the head for him. Overall he truly enjoys the toy.

  1. This is one of my son's favorite toys. He first started paying attention to it at about 2 months, mostly because of the bright colors, I think. He's now nearly 5 months old, and he enjoys grasping it so it crinkles, chewing on the attached bug and rings, a and looking at himself in the mirrored wing. The toy is small enough to take in the diaper bag, and the included clip is really handy with the infant seat and stroller. This is a great toy for infants, and you can really see changes in the way they play with it as their motor skills develop.

  2. I bought this for my 7 month old, and he really likes it. The variety of textures and colors really catch his attention. There's even a little teether for him to chew on. He loved it as soon as I gave it to him!

  3. I ordered Freddy the Firefly, Jacques the Peacock & Stretch the Giraffe for my grandson who will be born in May 08.

All 3 toys are similar: they all have embroidered eyes, a bell or rattle inside them and one puffy squeaker or squeaker foot and crinkly areas, soft textures, a clasp hook at the top that is stiff plastic and bright colors.

Freddy has rings on his tail and a nubby red raspberry hanging from a green string off his right wing that appears to be a teether. He also has a small mirror on his right wing that reflects, but distorts shapes.

His body jingles when shaken. His squeaker is a puffy ball on his left lower wing. His backside has black/white polka dots and b/w wavy lines.

Based on the pics of babies holding the toy, I though Freddy would be alot bigger. He is a medium sized toy about the size of paperbook book.

I'm satisfied with the toy, but will be buying other textured toys for a variety of stimuli and sensations for the baby to enjoy.

  4. This has been my daughter's favorite toy since we got it for her at about two months old. The colors are really fun on the front, then the back of the wings are black and white. It has a squeaker on one wing, which now cracks her up. The wings crinkle and there are little teething rings attached to the bottom by a short elastic band. This toy has entertained my daughter for hours, and there aren't any signs of her losing interest even now at seven months. In my mind a must-have. :)

  5. This toy is awesome. My son enjoys staring out all the different surfaces. His tiny hands can easily grab the wings and move the toy. It is entertaining upside right and upside down. We take this toy everywhere.

  1. We had one of these before and it was my sons favorite toy. It got lost and if anyone said 'giraffe' he would start looking around for it. We bought a replacement and he is as happy as ever! The colors, the noises, he loves it all!

  2. Being a new Aunt and about to see my niece for the first time at Christmas, I was a bit anxious to make a good impression (you know, because 3-month olds can be highly critical). I don't know too much about babies and wasn't sure how interactive they could be with a toy like this, but I thought I would take a chance - after all, could it be cuter?

Well I was excited to find out that my niece LOVES her giraffe (which has since been named in my honor). What I was a bit surprised to hear (and this is where my inexperience with lil' ones comes into play) was how much she engages with the toy - she grabs it, squeezes it, pulls it, chews on it - to hear its crinkle, rattle, etc. My brother also thinks the bright colors have a lot to do with her attachment.

Using my niece as the standard, I'm convinced that Lamaze has really done their homework when it comes to creating toys for babes. These Lamaze animals are now my go-to for baby gifts!

  3. well designed, well thought out. each foot makes a different sound. the legs make it easy to grap at and hold (in those early days when they can't seem to actually HOLD what they are going for). and the clasp to let it go with you is a plus.

  4. Item is colorful, but is large so make sure you look at deminsions. Has several noise features when my sons touch and play with it. This is one of their favorite toys at this age (4 months).

  5. Our 3 month old twins thought the face and legs were very intersting. At 5 months, they both now love to grab onto the tags, bite and chew on the face, and even fling him about by the handle. Highly recommend it.

  1. Just as cute as he appears in the picture. The backside of Jacques has black and white patterns on him which we are currently using with our newborn. He is able to "sit" on his own and looks darling displayed on our baby's bookshelf when not in use. The clip will come in handy when we take the toy out and can clip it either to the diaper bag or stroller. I really love this whole series of toys from Lamaze.

  2. My Lil' guy is just a few weeks old and already Jacques gets his attention. Not really able to mess with him too much yet but the black and white patterns on the back keeps him occupied with something to look at. I am sure he will get a lot of enjoyment out of this as he grows.

  3. Lamaze toys are the absolute best. My son is 4 months and has loved playing with this toy for about 2 months. We have it attached to the car seat. He likes best the crinkle noises that it makes.

  4. Our son loved looking at this toy when he was too young to reach out and grab it. Now that he is almost 7 months old, it is still a big favorite. He loves to chew on the wings and feel the textures. This toy is also a crowd favorite at playdates with even older children. This toy is well worth the money.

  5. This toy is absolutely adorable!!! The colors are so bright and there are lots of patterns and textures to stimulate baby.
