5 comments about Kettler Tandem Insert for Kettler Tricycles.
- I was thinking of purchasing the trike with the tandem insert for my 28month old to pedal and my 15 month old to ride along.
Would it be too difficult for my two year old to pedal with the extra heavy load?
- This is a helpful attachment. We have the happy navigator trike with a push bar & seat belt and added this insert to accommodate our two boys, 4 and 2 y/o.
Easily installed in minutes, just screws in place, this is a solid piece of equipment that allows my kids to take a neighborhood walk/ride together. The front passenger is the pedaler, while the rear passenger is just along for the ride. Good for the younger kids that may not be able to pedal yet. With the added pushbar, I have more control over hills, braking, and giving an extra push if the pedaling becomes too tough for my oldest. I also installed a seat belt on my trike for the benefit of my youngest. That way he's not trying to pop off while we are all in motion.
Your front passenger should be capable of steering well; because once you've added this tandem seat, trying to steer using the push bar becomes a little difficult. Typically with a one seater and the push bar, you can pop a wheelie to help steer, but with two seats and a pushbar, popping a wheelie will not work as well. My pushbar now has a nice bend in it from doing this.
Happily, my 4 y/o is now steering well, and we are enjoying this tandem trike seat immensely. "Look, Mom! I'm a good driver!"
- If you know which trikes can be used for this attachment please list all of them.
I'm purchasing this item and a tricycle for Nephew and Niece and haven't a clue.
I would appreciate an answer asap as it looks like it will be a while before I
can receive them. Thanks a lot in advance.
- Today is December 7 2006, and I just received the THIRD "delay" notice from my order for this on October 19th 2006. Each delay notice has pushed back the delivery date several weeks/a month or so. I have already contacted customer service - and though they've "upgraded" my shipping to a shorter time between them getting it and the delivery, it's still not coming till long after Christmas. If you'd like to get this by Christmas, please don't buy it here - I'm still looking for another place to order this so it will arrive by Christmas. The most recent delay notice that I received notified me that the delivery date estimate is now between January 10th and 26th. The actual Kettler Tricycle and seatbelt have arrived, though, so if you'd still like to order those from here, they may be actually available.... Hopefully, this little notice will save somebody a headache or two. :)
- I have 2 kids so I decided to order the tandem seat. It was easy to add on to the Kettler Jumbo Tricycle. As soon as I ordered and payed for it the item came within a 5 day period. If you have more than one kids than I would suggest you look into this. You can add up to 4 seats.

5 comments about Kettler Kettcar Grand Prix Pedal Car.
- Cart was exceptional value for product. Easy to put together. Made very well. Was a big hit with my grandson. Only draw back was the braking system. Hand brake hard for child to operate.
- Very well built. My son is having tons of fun peddling on pavement, dirt, rocks... you name it, he will ride it anywhere. The only disappointment I have with it is the tires are not real rubber tires. They are a plastic/rubber material. It will be interesting to see how well it holds up. I do highly recommend. Like I said, my 5 year old loves his Kett Car!
- Our son loves this car... fun to ride and looks cool. Kettler makes a great product, it goes superfast, yet is extremely controllable. Only problem is sharing w.the neighborhood kids!
- I bought this for my grandsons, ages 7 & 5. They love it. When my 4 year old granddaughter came to visit, she would not get off. Now I will have to buy another one!
- Purchased for very tall 4 year old. He fits with room to spare. Easy to ride (but the chain assembly is very loud). He loves the Kettler and rides it daily. Only reason I give it 4 starts out of 5 is that my came with one missing hole on one side for the seat adjustment - very strange but I can drill the missing hole.

5 comments about Kettler Pushbar 4 Position Pushbar Chrome Plated.
- Amazon sells this pushbar with the Kettrike Blossom Tricycle in the "Better Together" section. The pushbar description states "Ideal when used with a trike with a Parental Control Steering Lock System (locks handlebars into place for parental guidance and steering with pushbar) and Auto-Freewheel (allows child to rest feet on the pedals while parent guides with push bar)." FYI: the Parental Control and Auto-Freewheel are not additional components you can purchase. The tricycle either has it or it doesn't- the Blossom doesn't. I believe our 19 month daughter will enjoy this tricycle more in the future but at her age it would have been nice to have these additional features which are built into the pricier models.
- I ordered this because I thought you had too since it came up as a recommendation if you buy the bike- however, the bike comes with it. I had to return mine. Otherwise, it's works great.
- I really cannot review as when I ordered it - it did not come with all the necessary hardware to put it together - I contacted the seller who told me that Kettler would need to send me the parts and that they have been contacted. Still waiting to put this Christmas gift together....
- Be sure you are purchasing the correct product. Supplier IDigToys will only accept returns within 14 days of purchase.
- We bought a second hand kettler trike and then this push bar from amazon, only to discover the trike we have is an older model and requires a different attachment which was only available from the Kettler parts department, so check it fit the model you have first! I gave it 5 stars cause when you get the right one for your trike it works like a dream!

5 comments about Kiddi-O by Kettler Supertrike 2 with Stroller Handle.
- This is cute, but trying to figure out how the pedals and front wheel work almost did me in. I still don't know how my two year old is suppose to pedal this trike without my disconnecting the mechanism that operates the pedals. The instructions that come with this trike are awful. I tried the manufacturers website and it was worse because there were no specific instructions for this trike. I am giving it three stars because once I disconnected the mechanism around the pedals, my two year old could pedal the trike. Also, the seat is nice and comfortable and I don't have to worry about her falling off. I like the handle bar because I can steer while she pedals, but beware not to over tighten the screws. One of the screws in the handlebar broke and so it is not as sturdy as I would have liked. In hind-sight, I should have spent more money on a Radio Flyer and then I would have had a better product.
- This is an awesome trike when installed correctly. Worth every penny paid for. My two years old loves it. Instructions and installation are very simple. It took me about 10-15 minutes to install with the right tools.
- I bought this a few days ago on sale for $22.xx and My 16 month old loves it!
Yes, it's not a 'navigator' or other really great trike, but for less than $25.00 it is the deal of the century.
It wasn't that difficult to put together, it took maybe a half hour. The push bar is really nice and the trike pushes and turns well. The little bag is perfect for a sippy cup and some other samll stuff to bring on a walk.
Our son is average height and can't reach the pedals. (not that we expected him to) He loves to hold the handle bars and go for a ride and he loves when we put the handle in the lowest position and let him push.
All in all a great trike at a great price. Totally worth it if you can get it on sale!
- I got two of these for my boys for christmas and so far so good. My 2 1/2 year old still cant reach the pedels but i guess he will grow into it. I got a diffrent looking bag then the one displayed but it still works. Over all a good buy for $[...]!!
- We were all set to purchase a Kettler trike for $[...] at our local bike shop, when my sister told me how happy they were with their son's Kiddi-O trike. She told me that Kiddi-O is actually made by Kettler. And at $[...] it was definitely worth looking into.
After calling around for a few weeks (most stores were out) I found out that Toys "R Us had just received a shipment of a handful of the Supertrike 2 with Stroller Handle. I asked them to hold one for me and rushed over to look at it. The quality was not quite as nice as the Kettler, but nice enough. And we figured that she'd only ride it for a year or two before we'd trade up for a 16" bike with training wheels. My daughter, who was 2 1/2 at the time, had no problems riding it. It has a low center of gravity, making it less likely to tip over. We loved the stroller handle, as she would lose steam going up hills and we could just push her without having to bend over. The bag that comes on the handle is detachable and it's nice for holding her sippy cups, snacks, etc.
It's a great bike for the money. And with the money we saved, we can get her a really nice big girl's bike when she's ready.

5 comments about Kettler Sprint Balance Bike.
- We bought this for my son's second birthday. He was a little short and had a difficult time getting around at first, but, within a couple months he was a pro. Now, we take him on walks and can't keep up with him! He's never had a fall and is balancing like a pro. Our son is still not quite 2 1/2 years old. I'm excited to see him ride knowing that when he's ready for pedals, he won't need training wheels! We've had no real issues with the bike except that the front wheel and handlebars can become off-centered and shift. Otherwise, for the price, this is a great starter. I would have loved to buy him one of the beautiful wooden run bikes, but they're way too expensive + this one has a padded seat.
- Our large 3 year old was outgrowing ride ons (too large - but he tried!) and did not pedal. We finally got him this bike and he has been whizzing around ever since. It was the best purchase. We finally got him a bike with training wheels and they confused him, so we took the training wheels off and he is riding a regular bike at 4. The balance bike is the best idea!
- My great grandson received it for Christmas. It was delivered right on time and in good condition!
Thanks you!
Shy
- My son is not even 3 years old yet but he has to get his finger into every mechanism that presents itself to him, so when his cousin got a bike the first thing he did was to check out the chain and pedals and how they work. His Greatgrandma kept getting worried he might hurt himself and greatgrandpa was telling stories about cut off fingers because of such curiousity. So when it got time to get a bike we went with a balance bike which eliminated that issue for us. My Mother-in-law keeps saying he should ride a real bike because he needs to learn how to paddle but i can assure you that they learn the paddeling quicker than the balance. Usually you have a tricycle around first anyways which they use too.
So why did i give only 4 stars? Because when i saw reviews about kids taking off with the bike immediatly i expected mine to do so too, mine wouldn't do that. We've had it for about 1 month and he is still very slow on it but he learned how to stear and keeps his balance pretty good so I think i just have to have a little patience
- Got the Kettler Sprint three weeks ago. Our three year old son has taken to it quickly and is now coasting both feet of the ground for short distances at least. As he's got more confident he's got a little wilder on the steering but the bike geometry seems tolerant and forgiving of that. He's begun to get more daring with small slopes too and the odd tumble or two has resulted, but he's never come up other than with a broad smile on his face. Seems like a great way to learn.
Adjustments would make sense to anyone familiar with full size bikes.
Reasons for picking this were that it's a lot cheaper than LikeABike. Actually got a Skuut first off which was cheaper still but poorly made with half an inch side to side wobble on both wheels - sent that back without even assembling it. The Sprint is better made and looks better. Not sure how well it would work for a two year old - this is heavier (14.5lb) than a Skuut (11.2lb) or the aluminum model of LikeABike (7.5lb) which is the closest match and over twice the price. The seat is large but quite adjustable.

5 comments about Kettler Metal Basket for Kettler Kettrikes Tricycles.
- This basket works fine with my Kettrike (I can't remember the model, but it's the basic $120 model), but it falls off ALL THE TIME. I'm giving it a 3 star review because this basket only works if you zip-tie it to the darn bike, LOL! Otherwise, once zip-tied it works great!
- This basket does not work well with the Happy Navigator model. I need to use a string in order to keep the basket from falling off. I am very disappointed with the product.
- Easy on and easy off. Once you have something in the basket or you stop touching it, it won't move - even on bumpy terrain, but when you brush by the bike, it may pop off if you hit it just right. I like this and I hate it at the same time. I like that I can take it off so darn easily and it goes back on just as easy (basically it attaches simply by hooking onto the handle bars.)
It's nice having a basket up front, my daughter loves putting her toys, dandelions, rocks, etc. up front where she can see them.
Side note: if you handle bars don't got pretty much straight across, this is the wrong basket for your bike, get a different one.
- the basket is a little smaller than i envisaged - but it fits the trike perfectly. We have added a cable tie, otherwise its easy for a curious toddler to remove over, and over, and over.......
- Works perfectly with the Kettler Air Navigator. The basket is small - but then so is the trike! We can put quite a few small library books in it, or a few truckes for the park, so it is practical. We have not noticed any stability issues with the basket and are very pleased with it!

5 comments about Kettler Kettrike Air Navigator Tricycle.
- We have had this bike for a while now, and I frequently have to tighten the steering bolt as my daughters seem to keep loosening it up. As one of the earlier posters mentioned, this is a poor desing for such an expensive toy.On the good side, the kids love it when it works, and it is great for taking them on walks when the little one wnat to 'ride'.
- We bought the Kettler Air Navigator for our son's first birthday. After looking at a lot of different products we liked it the best. Our son LOVES his tricycle! It was worth every penny. The parental steering is great and switches over ealisly. Because of his age we also purchased the seatbelt, this is a must. This is a good quality built item that will grow with our son.
- After much research I ended up getting the Air Navigator for my son for his first birthday. It seems a lot of money for a tricycle but is worth every penny. My son LOVES it! We use this or his wagon for everything...no strollers!
Pros:
Quality/Durability
Style
Function
In terms of quality, this trike is solid! It's not a flimsy plastic trike by any means. Yes, putting it together is a pain (not as dramatic as some make it seem!) but once together, you needen't worry about it falling apart! The rubber/air tires too are a huge plus, bouncing us on even the roughest terrain!
It's a stylish trike, getting us many looks as we cruise through the neighborhood! I love the primary colors...so happy.
Functionally I love the many options I have with this trike. You are able to lock the steering, which is nice as it gives you control while pushing your child. The pedals don't rotate unless pushed, so no injuries to shins, and an included pushbar is perfect for those unable to reach the pedals, but still wanting a trike of his/her own.
In all fairness I'm including some cons.
The push bar as menitoned does take awhile to get used to, but isn't that tough to master and the handle bar lock sometimes pries "loose". An annoyance, but not a deal breaker.
Final thoughts are to include my son's favorite features: his love of the bucket on the back and the (optional) bell, which is worth the extra few dollars.
- It is a bit pricy... But you're going to love it. I had no idea what I was getting when I found this tricycle. But after receiving it and putting it to use I could not be happier. I had a misconception that the "Air Navigation" meant that the back wheels turned when the child steered the with the handle bars, in unison with the front. That is not the case and probably for a good reason, but the option to lock the front and steer with the back wheels is so perfect, especially for the little guys who can't quite reach the pedals or can't complete a full revolution because of short legs. My son is two and about 35" tall, I thought for sure he'd be able to pedal on his own. His feet reach the pedals, but his legs are not long enough to ride on his own. When you are pushing using the push poll, the ability to steer from the back is priceless. The huge tires are amazing, you can push this tricycle anywhere, and the kid loves it!!! It comes apart great for traveling. I don't know if that was an intended feature, but it sure works well. I got mine for a Christmas present, but as soon as it was given it was time to pack up the car for a six hour road trip. And yes the new trike came with us, among everything else, and it all fit fine.
I have zero regret, this is the perfect start to riding a bike for a little one...
- Great build quality, great fun. Your child can rest his/her feet on the pedals if you do not feel like biking. We purchased the tandem extension as well, so big sister can drive around small brother, both of them enjoying the ride.

5 comments about Kettler Bell Red Metal Bell.
- We have two Kettler trikes and we have one of these on each. The kids love it & I think this bell will probably last longer than I will. People hear it & always comment on what a nice, classic ringing sound it makes (& easy to operate for the little ones).
- It has a great sound, just what a bike bell should sound like. My 2 year-old daughter has no trouble at all pulling the handle.
- Our first bell didn't work, if you can believe it, but we received a replacement promptly. My young son is adept at ringing it (reminding me of my childhood bike/bell-a welcome, happy sound!) and it's a welcome addition to our trike!
- Purchased this nice red bell for my husband's ATV. He had a squeeze type bell, but my son broke it.
This bell, though, is good and sturdy!
He is very pleased with it!
- We bought this with a bike as a gift for our grandson. The bell was a bigger hit than the bike until he learned to ride the bike. Now he loves them both.

5 comments about Kettler Seatbelt 3 Point Harness Seatbelt.
- Some Kettler tricycles come with this - my model did not. Works just like the ones that come with the other models.
- My kids are wiggly worms so this is great. It was very easy to install.
very good price
- This was very easy to install on our Kettler Supertrike2. It is durable, strong and wipes clean easily. The price could be a few dollars lower, but I was happy to pay for extra safety and peace of mind when my son is on his tricycle. I'm glad that these are available for the younger trike riders.
- I live in a big city and can't imagine my 18 month old (when she got this trike, now 21 month old) riding her trike without her seatbelt on. Big time peace of mind for mommy, especially when sleepy child is throwing a fit but doesn't manage to flop out of the trike in a crosswalk.
- This product is fairly easy to attach to the seat;however, if you try to put it on after the trike is already assembled, you have to remove the seat in order to attach it.
