5 comments about Hasbro Nerf N-Strike Longshot CS-6.
- I am nearly 14 years old and i've had my share of nerf wars, and trust me, only use the longshot when you have somewhere to duck behind to reload, or have a full clip. The best case scenario for reloading is having a full clip ready to pop in. But when you're not that lucky, you have to load up the clip (which takes awhile,) and then pop it in. That is where it is worse than the firefly, and maverick. It does shoot streamline darts pretty far (over the advertised 30 ft.) but those are the only darts it uses, and the streamline hurt even more in the maverick. The gun also jams a lot. You'll be shooting, you'll reload, push up the bolt, but then it won't click in. Eventually you realize there is already a dart stuck in there somehow. Luckily, NERF addressed this problem and put in a jam door under the tactical rail(handle). But the darts get pretty beat, and it's hard to find refills for the list price. The "scope' is pretty pathetic, so you should just take that off because if somthings lined up perfectly in it, the dart's bound to go a foot below. The pistol extension is good for sniping, as is the fold-down bipod, but gets in the way otherwise. It is cool to shoot two darts at once, though.
Now, finally the good things. This gun is probably the easiest to keep firing within a clip of the ones i've used (i have yet to try the recon cs-6), and is the most accurate. Or, you could hold it like a shotgun and just fire away. And because it is very big (too big with the extension) it is good to shield yourself with. And if you don't have a clip ready, you can slide the dart down the barrel and then cock the gun, although it isn't recommended. So this is a great gun, but i'm not sure if i'd suggest this over the firefly.
- I bought this gun at Target for 1/2 the price listed here, and have had a lot fun with it.
Main Gun:
Pros:
clips for easy reloading
range is significantly better than the Hasbro Nerf N-Strike Maverick Intimidates opponents
Cons:
streamline darts darts expensive
clips ridiculously priced
clips difficult to fill with darts
stings at point blank range
Notes: Lots of fun, but be careful with the darts
I read here that you can fit regular darts into the longshot if you rip the tops off. This is true, but for me they only went a few inches.
Extension:
Pros: _____________________________________________
Cons: Unpredicatble range (1ft.-15ft.)
single shot
awkward to strap over shoulder
Notes: not that bad, but nothing stands out as good. Had trouble attaching trigger at first. Takes NERF SONIC MICRO Darts Refill 10 Pack as well as sreamlines
Scope:
Pros: Fun
Cons: Hard to attach
shots go low when you aim with it
Notes: Form side to side the aim is fine just aim high
Together:
Pros: Intimidation (more)
ability to fire 2 darts from one gun at the same time
easier to carry
Cons: Slightly shorter range
Harder to reload extension
awkward to hold
Notes: ____________
Overall notes:
Great gun, a sidearm besides the extension is useful.
- this toy is very fun but 30 feet is too long for a gun the gun has some cool featchers it can form two guns it as a bio stand so you don't need to hold it when aiming! great tyoy I recamend
- This gun is really a bunch of fun in this house. The laser can be used to pinpoint exactly what your aim's desire may be and since it comes apart, that is done quite easily. The worst part of the gun is the fact that it is so big, it's quite cumbersome. Especially so for the little guys, about 7 and under. This gun is used mostly separately in our house, or it's set up on the kitchen table and fired into the drapes into the family room. To actually carry the thing, it's quite difficult for even a seven-year-old. Other than that, it's been a load of fun but be sure to get replacement darts at target - they've been the cheapest I've found. Highly recommend!
- From my son: Monkey see, monkey want. I got the Longshot for Christmas '06. The moral of the story is: don't believe everything you see in a commercial. It showed great accuracy; what a joke. And the commercial claim, "Everything you need to blast your skills to the next level." should have been, "Everything you need to spend $30.00 on, to ruin your kid's Christmas (or any child's birthday."). Bottom line: this gun stinks, and I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend this toy. To ANYONE.

- Some complain that many of the cars toys are overpriced---they are probably right, however, since I couldn't find all of the toys in the stores in my area, I am just happy that I was able to get them from Amazon.com. The huge smile on my son's face when he saw the DJ car was well worth the additional cost. Thanks Amazon! It's not Amazon's fault that the demand is greater than the supply right now.
- My son LOVES his new DJ car!! That one, Wingo, Snot Rod, and Boost have become his favorite ones. He calls them the "bad cars", haha. He carries them around with him everywhere, lol. It's so cute! Thanks so much, and I look forward to buying from you again in the future. :)
- Fun toy and my kid loves it. Die Cast construction so it won't fall apart easily...word to the wise beware of smaller children 3-5 playing with these toys as they do pose choking hazard is a wheel or small piece fell off.

5 comments about Fisher-Price Shake 'n Go Crash-Ups Speedway.
- We bought this racetrack for my son for Christmas. He LOVES it, however it is always coming apart! He takes it apart piece by piece and if I move it, it falls apart. If the cars race to hard on it, it falls apart. I did see in other reviews that they added screws and they never had this problem. Ours did not come with screws, so I am wondering if they should have been added. All in all this is a cool toy, but wasn't overly impressed with the hardware.
- This is the first and only thing my 3 year old son has ever asked Santa for (so far). So of course, Santa had to come through. My son loves this toy. He and I (or he and Daddy) will each shake, shake, shake a car and then send them flying around the track, waiting in anticipation for them to crash. We probably shake them more than needed, but my son finds the shaking part of the fun. Cars crash into each other, off the ramps or there is also a little button to push on the side of the track that will lower a safety rail and send the car zooming over the edge to crash into something off track. Upon each crash my son will yell "FIREWORKS!" and if the cars don't happen to crash, he will make them do so before shaking them again.
I can't speak to the difficulty of putting this track together. My hubby did that while I distracted the little guy on Christmas morning. However, my hubby is reluctant to dismantle the track. So I'm guessing the difficulty level was high. Unlike other reviewers, we've had no trouble with the track coming apart during normal play.
However, we received a defective orange car. My son's friend also has this set and his orange car was also defective. Our car would not go at all most of the time. Occasionally we would be lucky enough it would go about a second before stalling out. Santa's distribution center, aka, Fisher-Price was fantastic about sending us a new replacement car though. No questions asked.
- This item was unfortunately a disappointment. I think the idea itself is great, but the end product is not. As others have noted, the ramp does not fit and was useless. As every review does not mention this, I assume it may be manufacturing lot related. However, on the one I purchased the ramp is 1/2 inch narrower that the space its intended to snap into per the poorly written directions.
The parts do not snap together firmly, and continued to come apart each time a car ran the course. In reading past reviews, others have apparently had to resort to tape and super glue to hold this thing together.
I've never written an Amazon review before, but the dismal quality of this product and excessive price for what you get made me want to hopefully keep others from wasting their money. Buyer beware.
- The track is supposed to snap together pretty easily, once everything is screwed together. That hasn't been my case. The track starts to come apart after only a few of the cars' revolutions. I've decided I'm going to have to super glue this thing together. If the track can stay snapped together, this can be a very fun toy.
That said, my son loves playing with the cars and seeing them crash. They hold up as great stand-alone toys, without the track.
- This speedway works just as promised - only better! Our grandson, his dad and grandpa ( & ME!!!) spent hours playing with this! Additionally, these cars travel pretty much anywhere the surface is smooth! Great fun for ALL ages!!! Very much recommended!

5 comments about Fisher Price Kid Tough Digital Camera - Blue (New Version).
- I love this toy. I purchased this one for my 18 month old son. I had purchased one for my daughter which she got in December and my son would not leave it alone. The fighting got so bad I had had enough and purchased one for him for Easter. The picture quality is good as long as the object you are taking the picture of is still. You can not take a close up picture it will blur out. My son being 18 months has throw this camera and his sisters and neither of them have been damaged. All and all this is a good starter camera the kids love seeing there pictures scrolling on the computer screen(screen saver) and they are an interesting conversation piece. Hope this has helped.
- We gave our son this camera for his 4th birthday and he enjoys playing with it. He takes lots of pictures around the house and enjoys playing them back on the viewfinder screen. It is amazingly simple -- we taught him to use it in under two minutes.
The battery life is OK, not great.
Photo quality is definitely mediocre at best, especially in limited light conditions. Outdoors on a sunny day, it's actually not so bad. I'm a bit of a photo snob myself, but I don't mind the graininess of these pictures at all. Why not? Because it's A TOY. It's a way for children to learn a little about taking pictures, and a way for them to enjoy capturing what's in the world around them.
I just downloaded 228 pictures from this camera onto my computer and reviewed them with my son. An archetypical shot was a picture of the doorstop that holds open our playroom door. This is the sort of thing a 4-year-old takes a picture of. So I just don't care that it's grainy. He likes that he took a picture, so he's happy, and I frankly don't NEED a high-quality picture of the doorstop, so I'm happy. Only a prodigy would be able to select an interesting subject, create an artful composition and capture a great image as a preschooler. So I think its lack of high resolution is moot.
Check customer images to see real pictures taken by my 4-year-old.
- This camera works well. It's very durable. It has a good flash. It doesn't eat batteries. It's blue (very important for boys, for some reason...B-). Now the small downsides. The image quality isn't fabulous, but my son doesn't seem put off by that in the least. It needs a fair amount of light to take a good picture, but again, that doesn't seem to bother my 5 year old, and the flash takes care of truly dark places.
What is this camera good for. Teaching holding the camera still to take a picture. No camera performs well, shaking around. Why don't little ones get that? Teaches image composition. They start to see what makes a good picture aesthetically (obviously my word...not his) pleasing. Helps them understand that pictures of people usually need to be close up to recognize the person...
The long and short of it? My 5 year old loves the camera and it takes the beating he gives it. I'm certain he'll be ready to move up to a real camera in a couple of years, with no concerns, and by then, my 3 year old and 2 year old will be ready for this one!
- Our son still prefers our cameras, but he has a lot of fun with his. It is durable, easy to use and produces the quality pictures or a little better than you would expect from a toddler's camera.
- I read all the reviews & still wanted to get it. He loved it right from the package. Everything is great for what I expected & for his needs. Yes the screen is small & Yes the photos are not so great quality. Buy Yes he doesn't really care. He loves that he can take a picture with a totally user friendly camera. He has total control over the ones he can keep. He can review all the ones that he captured. Very happy that we got it & he is excited every time he uses it.

5 comments about Melissa and Doug Dinosaur Stamp Set.
- Most of the art supplies I have bought in the past were Crayola, so I'm used to the claim of washability being true. Not so with the Melissa & Doug stamp sets. I broke out a few of the sets as a rainy day surprise this morning for my kids. Because of the claim of washability, I didn't bother to set out a cover on their play table. When the kids were finished playing, their little hands and the table were covered in ink. No biggie. I helped them put their stamps away and then grabbed some wipes to clean their table. That knocked some of it out but not all. Even with a kitchen cleaning spray and then (UGH) bleach water, I could not get all the color off the table. The final straw was when my kids got out of the bathtub this morning (rainy day activity #2, playing sea monsters in the tub) and were still covered in the ink. Obviously, I'm not happy. The stamps are OK (we did get too many square edges included in the image for my taste but my kids didn't care).
I just wanted to warn parents to cover the work space if they decide to purchase this item. I'll do the same until this product runs out and then I'll look for some washable ink that really is washable. The kids did enjoy it so I do think it's a good gift idea. The same could be accomplished by purchasing some individual stamps/ink pads/colored pencils and assembling in a basket yourself. The price on this item is right though. Just beware the stains!
- My three-year-old enjoys stamping with her own little box of stamps. The quality of the stamps is excellent. The lines are sharp and the stamps themselves are made of the thick blocks of wood you expect from Melissa and Doug. The rubber parts are attached very well, and the stamps pads included wash pretty well from foreams, fingertips, etc. No, the pencils aren't the best, but honestly, that doesn't matter. The stamps themselves are worth the money.
- My son has had the Dinosaur Stamp Set for a little over 2-years now, and it's been well used. The box has a label on the outside, which indicates each dinosaur, and has really come in handy for me, as I know very little about the Mesozoic Era. The only shortcoming I've experienced with the Dinosaur Stamp Set is the worthless pencils. The pigment is so hard it doesn't work. I tossed them in the trash after our first play session, and replaced them with our Crayola pencils.
The stamps are nice and chunky for little hands. My son is delayed in fine motor skills, but has no trouble picking these up, and using them. He creates a landscape of plants, mountains, and rocks with markers, and then stamps, stamps, stamps. He actually prefers to color the stamps in with markers, but every now and then I notice he uses the pencils. The Dinosaur Stamp Set makes for a fun, creative time. This can be a messy activity though, so if you're not into using Spray `n Wash on your kids clothes, or spraying 409 on the table after play, you may want to avoid this toy.
- Was looking for an art project for one of my grandson's that could "travel".
This stamp kit is very portable, I really like the way everything packs back into it. Good choice of stamps that will provide a lot of story time for the active imagination of my grandson.
- I bought this for my daughter's third birthday, she loves dinosaurs! She asks to bring it out very often... and loves stamping and coloring her creations. She even brought one of her pictures that she made to her class' show and tell at preschool. A wonderful tool for creativity and to keep her busy inside during the winter!

- Transformers Movie Deluxe Bumblebee 1974 Camaro
My Grandson asked for this transformer for christmas, He enjoyed it and played with it christmas Day and had alot of fun. I would reccommend it for other children.
- Watch out for the parts, they can come off, but do snap back on, other then the parts being small and can get lost, looking is more then playing with it
- Small and portable, this toy provides fun at home or during those boring errand trips, giving idle hands something to do. 8-year old nephew is quick to show me how much he likes it and feels a sense of accomplishment when morphing it from one thing to another.
- These transformer toys are awesome and enjoyed by all
boys. The Transformer movie has inspired the sale of these
toys. They are easy to transform and the kids will sit and play for hours with them, mimicking scenes from the movie.
- Warning: once you transform this toy into robot mode, you will NEVER be able to put it back into perfect vehicle mode. The front end keeps popping off instead of staying in place. There's this pedal-like structure underneath that's apparently supposed to do something, but I don't know what it's supposed to do. The front end pops off whether the thingie is pushed in or extended.

- In this set, you get Indy, Mutt, and an evil lady. The table just slides together by 2 shoe looking pieces, and any of the swords can cut through it. It is still cool. There is a crate which has a bannana, a sword, and a chicken. You can spin the sword rack, so many to choose from. Then there's the tent. There is a piece in the back which holds the tent sides, but I had to add 1 in the front. Still cool. The bench is cool, and the spiders are like no other! The fire is also nice. I can't wait for the movie! I shoud say, Indy's hair needs to be gray. Bye!!

5 comments about Fisher-Price Imaginext Adventures Pirate Ship.
- we first bought the imaginext castle christmas 06 and my then 3 yr old couldn't get enough. So when he saw the pirate ship just before christmas 07 he couldn't talk about anything else ...
Since then he had hours of fun with it. All the neat features, but I must say the sails get stuck quite often and we crushed two of the red canon targets by just stepping on them.
Still, we would buy it again anytime!
- What a great gift for a pirate lover! Not to mention that it was cheaper at Amazon than at any store we looked. Very cute, love that the cannons work. Our son has used many different figures to go on pirate adventures and rescues.
- We received this Pirate Toy Ship last year as a gift for our son's 5th birthday. He plays with it all the time and hasn't gotten bored with it. We just ordered it for our friend's son who just turned 3. We expect it will be as much fun for him, too! Our ship hasn't had any problems falling apart, seems as if it's an intermitent problem maybe? We would buy it again definitely.
- This has been THE toy since my son's 3rd birthday. He's entranced by different aspects of it. From using the cannons to fire to hiding the treasure to using all the "action points" on the boat itself.
If I have any quibbles, they are minor. I wish there were more pirate action figures (three's two), though with a three-year old's imagination, dinosaurs have become part of the crew. I was also thrown at first as to what the red balloon looking items were before noticing on the box that they were for the cannons.
I'm a bit surprised that some of the reviews have mentioned the lack of sturdiness of the product. It seems put together fine to me.
- I was very excited to buy the pirate ship for my grandson, who had just returned from Disney Land. I am 72 so I'm not too good with new toys, but I didn't think it would be hard. He was very excited, however, we couldn't get the masts up and down or the two figures to work. We studied the pictures, there were no instructions. He only comes about once a month, and I was hoping to figure it out by the next time he comes.

5 comments about Hasbro Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee Figure.
- I would not recommend this particular model of Bumblebee for young children. He is intricate and complicated to convert which works out perfectly for the Dad of the young child who really wants to play with the toy himself anyway:)
- This is a great toy. WE bought it for Christmas at Walmart [...]. It iss cool. In robot form, it talks , in car form it sings songs etc....My 5 year old loves it, except way too hard for him to switch back and forth, like most of them. but, more durable!!! Great toy [...]
- My boyfriend and I grew up children of the 80s. He loved transformers as a child, and when the movie came out last summer, he couldn't get enough of the film. For Valentine's Day this year I decided to surprise him with the electronic Bumblebee. As it turned out, from of all the gifts I have ever given him, this was THE biggest hit. He immediately took it out of the box and began playing with all of its features. His eyes lit up, he talks, there are radio tunes that it plays (Bumblebee, not my boyfriend). It's really just a neat gadget that I know he will treasure for years to come. Definitely a winning purchase!!!
*Please note that it takes four AA batteries.
- I got this product for my son for his 5th B'day and he loved it. The tough part came when I started transforming it to a Car. Man, that took me about 1.5 hours, even with the instructions. But once you've done it once its quite easy the next time.
But I must insist, its a clever design and I and my son love it. Some people who saw it, loved it. I love the sounds it has. Its got some intelligent thingy which detects if the car is moving fast or slow and increase or decreases the speed of the engine sound with the speed. I thought that was really cool. Its also got some nice lighting functionality which I thought were amazing, espcially in the dark. All these sounds and lights in the car mode. Not much lights in the Robot mode but, its got some cool statments which the kids tend to memorize.
Ohh one thing, it does not balance well in the Robot mode when standing but its not much of a thing as you can get it stand somehow.
All in all I think its one of the best toys but more as a collectable. Kids will love it if they love Transformers.
I guess the educationational value would be when a kid actually uses his brain to transform the thing from car to bot and vice versa.
Thanks to Hasbros for the creativity.
- I just ordered Ultimate Bumblebee in the mail less than a week ago and it arrived today. I unwrapped it and finally (once I had gotten it out of the five layers of packaging) I was able to hold it for the first time. And wow. What a toy. Ultimate Bumblebee is BY FAR my favorite Transformer. With so many moving parts, lights, sounds, 17 phrases and 9 songs, what's not to like? Bumblebee stands about four inches taller than the Leader Class Megatron, which is already saying something. Just wait. In vehicle mode when flipped up to show the underside of the car, it is still about two inches taller than Megatron. I was in awe. There are no real let downs to this toy. The only things I can think of are these: 1. The shoulders are a pain to lock into place each time you transform it into a robot. 2. Well, I don't really have a second thing. That's how awesome this toy is.
I would very very very very very very very very highly recommend this toy. Though little kids may need adult help transform it, but that's not a problem. the video instructions on trasnformers.com really help.
No transformer collection is complete without ULTIMATE BUMBLEBEE!
