  1. It took less than a week to get here. Very quick. Thank you so much!

  2. The product is very cute, just as advertised...the shipping was as much as the smock which was a little excessive.

  1. These markers are great! The only concern is that they are stored upright and that seems to make them dry out. After repeated use, this seems to rectify itself. The container is great! Easy to carry around and keep all of the markers together!

  2. My kids ages 8 and 4 use these markers almost daily-I've had the set for about 2 months now. The markers work great and are still vibrant. I love the storage container which telescopes up when in use. It's a well organized system. I'd definitely buy it again.

  3. I bought these markers for my 4-year-old. She loves the smaller size. We also had fun reading the clever color names. My only complaint is that the telescoping function of the holder does not lock sufficiently into place, so she was constantly frustrated by it collapsing anytime she put a marker away or got a new one out. Other than that, a fun, well-used product.

  1. My 3 year old received this for her birthday. It is the greatest set of markers I have ever seen. No messes on table tops, carpets, walls. Even my 3 year old colors oerfect pictures since you can't color outside the lines. My kids love this toy.

  2. I HAVE 4 KIDS. THEIR AGES ARE 5, 4, 2 AND 1. ALL OF THEM LOVE TO DRAW AND COLOR BUT THEY JUST CANT SEEM TO KEEP REGULAR MARKERS OFF THE WALLS, THEIR CLOTHES AND THE CARPETS. I SEEN THIS AT THE STORE AND DECIDED I WOULD TRY IT. IT IS THE BEST! ALL OF MY KIDS INCLUDING MY 1 YR OLD CAN USE THESE WITHOUT MAKING A MESS. THESE MARKERS WILL NOT DRAW ON ANYTHING EXCEPT THE SPECIAL CRAYOLA PAPER THAT COMES WITH THE KIT. WHEN YOU RUN OUT OF PAPER YOU CAN EASILY GET A REFILL FROM THE STORE. THIS IS A VERY INEXPENSIVE GIFT THAT KIDS WILL LOVE AND SO WILL YOU!

  3. I recently purchased these markers for my 19mo old son. He likes to draw with markers and not crayons. He was fairly good with markers but would accidentally (really!) get markers on his clothes, hands, the table etc...
Then we bought these! They are wonderful! He can draw to his hearts content and not get marker anywhere but the paper...
Plus, it's neat to watch the marker "appear" on the paper! It doesn't appear instantly but fades in... very nice!
It's about time someone thought of this!!

  4. These markers are the greatest invention EVER! My son loves to take of the tops and put them back on, in addition to coloring the pages. I wish each side of the pages was colorable. Pretty expensive product, but worth it for not having marker all over everything!

  5. The fact that these markers only write on the special paper is brilliant and a true sanity-saver for parents, especially on airplanes and long car trips or in restaurants, but BOO! to Crayola for making the coloring books so it's impossible to draw outside the lines on the pictures.

One of the many reasons coloring is such a great activity for kids is that it helps to develop their fine motor skills as they learn to control their hand and keep the color within the lines, but with these coloring books marks outside the lines are invisible, which means it's nearly impossible for the child to see for themselves how well they're controlling the marker.

And then when kids want to deliberately color outside the lines, their creativity is stifled. For example, my 3-year-old wanted to draw a hat on one of the animals' heads the other day, and wound up confused and very frustrated by the fact that it wasn't possible. She had to switch to crayons to do what she wanted, which is fine, but it sort of begs the question: Why bother with the markers in the first place?

Crayola does make pads of plain, picture-free paper for the Color Wonder markers, where you can write on the entire surface of the sheet, and those are very good for drawing and writing. But for coloring in pictures we'll stick with regular coloring books and Crayola's washable markers and crayons from now on, which have the added benefit of being far less expensive than the Color Wonder stuff.

  1. As there is nothing "washable" about these paints. I just bleached a white outfit that has red splotches all over it from them, to no avail. It's ruined. Be very careful not to get this on clothing or have your children wear old clothes when painting.

  2. When they say washable they mean it! My daughter has managed to get green paint on my oriental rug, leather sofa and of course all over her clothes. Each time I just used a wet cloth and it all came up - even on the oriental rug!

  3. I would not allow children to wear any good clothing with these paints, however, it is a great pool companion. My daughter paints herself, her friends and the dog and then they all go for a swim. It has not been a problem and I would agree it would cause a problem with laundering the clothes. I wouldn't even want to put it in with the other laundry as it could ruin your entire load, however, people expect too much for 6 bucks. I'm sure it would cost much more to manufacture something that comes out of all clothing. We were able to get a good 10 uses out of the paint before, of course, purple ran out and then the rest of the colors. My friend had a pack with 10 colors, but I have not been able to find it. Anyone know where it is? Oh, I would buy the thinner brushes, this way the paints last longer.

  4. I bought these paints for use with the Melissa & Doug Deluxe Standing Easel & Companion Supply Set Bundle. They work just fine with the Melissa and Doug paper rolls, and my only criticism is that these little bottles don't last very long, or are at least not the ideal choice for a toddler who is using big brushes. Each little container might last at most three painting sessions, depending on if you use the paint "full strength" or watered down, and how much you pour into the plastic containers. Unless your child is using smaller brushes or you are unconcerned with how long the little bottles will last, I would recommend purchasing the much larger Blue Poster Paint Bottle and the other colors. These are also washable and 11.2 oz. each, whereas the Crayola paints are 2 oz. each.

Incidentally, I found that both the Crayola and Melissa & Doug paints wash out of clothes just fine as long as you do the following:

    1. Run hot water over the stained area of clothing as soon as possible after your child's painting session in order to remove as much paint as possible.
    2. Spray a pre-wash stain remover (i.e. Spray 'N Wash) on what's left of the paint stains immediately, rub the stain remover into the spot(s) and let soak in for at least an hour before washing.
    3. If at all possible, wash the clothes immediately in hot water (if it won't ruin the fabric), after the stain remover has soaked in.

No guarantees for what I wrote above, but that process worked for me.

All in all, good fun - my son has a blast using these paints.

5 comments about Crayola® Bathtub Crayons.
  1. Both of my kids LOVE these (4 yrs and 2 yrs old). They ask to play with them every night! However, with 2 little ones doodling away by the end of bath time my tub is covered and it takes a bit of elbow grease to get it off. I made the mistake of letting red and purple sit over night and I have a slight tint on my tub wall. It's easier to clean if you do it RIGHT away but pull the little out b/c it tints the water. They do wear down fairly quickly. My kids will likely get about 10 uses if we're lucky. Overall, lots of fun!

  2. I have used all of the colors in the package and have had tons of fun. However, the crayons tend to fall out when turned downward and get used up VERY quickly when you try to write with them. Works great on a dry wall, but not so good on a previously wet surface.

  3. My sister got these for my two year old son for Christmas, because he LOVES his bath time and coloring. My son loves them! He also enjoys cleaning the pictures off of the tub with a wash cloth as he goes. While he's creating pictures, he doesn't know that he's learning pre-writing skills (holding a crayon and making writing/coloring motions) and colors. The package warns you about using them on textured tubs: we have a textured tub, and the only ones that are hard to come off are the pink, red and purple. But, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser takes care of those marks very well. So, color on!

  4. I just deleted my old review of this product, because when I got my new order, I found that Crayola had made the improvements I wanted: The crayons are no longer hard to clean up because they have changed the colors. The dark purple, red and black used to stain the tub and tile grout, especially if left overnight, but now the colors are lighter, (and there's no black or brown) so it's not a problem anymore. The new 9 colors are still bright enough and easy to see in bath drawings, and they draw underwater too. This is the only thing that gets my child to want to take a bath: Highly recommended!

  5. Can't say enough good about these here crayons. We had a different (non-crayola) set before, and they were just harder to write with. And really, what you need when you're giving your toddler a bath is a good quality crayon when he asks you to write the word "bathtub" in the bathtub. Or "stop."

  1. My boys love the chalk. So do all the kids at the park! Tons of chalk for everyone to draw and color.

  2. A few pieces were broken on arrival, the chalk is very delicate and breaks easily even being handled, and the blue chalk stains concrete! But it is a good deal considering it is sidewalk chalk.

  3. Chalk drawings are so much fun, you don't need paper, you do it outside, and if you don't like your drawing you can wash it away. This is good for any age and the colors are great.

  1. This was a great way to get my son to use a variety of different colors because he could see all of them, Great idea and great value. Cheaper here than at Target!!!

  2. This is a great way to see all your crayon options...and there are a lot of options. My daughter loves having all those crayons at her fingertips. A little pricey for crayons, though--unlike another reviewer, we found it for less at Target. And while the telescoping idea is great, it's too hard for my 3 and 4 year olds to get it up and down by themselves. Also, I assumed that it came with a fitted hard plastic lid, but it just has a flimsy throw-away lid which doesn't do much to protect the crayons or prevent spills.

  3. I was very disappointed. There were 2, sometimes 3 of the same colors in this. So although we got 150 crayons, they were not 150 DIFFERENT crayons.

  4. This is awesome! I would love to have had this when i was a kid. Tons of crayons, tons of colors and it looks so pretty when its a tower!

  5. I didn't buy this product through Amazon but through the Target near my house.

There are 150 different crayons! A lot of them SEEM to be the same but they are not; just a shade different. These crayons are durable and I like the telescoping tower as it makes it easier to view the 2nd and 3rd level of crayons. I'm having a lot of fun with this product!

  1. Mess Free...and a wonderful gift. If your little one likes to color like most do they will enjoy this a lot. Even our teenage babysitter likes this!!!

    A Parents Favorite!!!

  2. I really enjoyed finding this product. We orginally got a book with the paints. My daughter loved it so much, she asked for this one.
For a three year old, this product is a godsend. Just think, no more illustrations on the wall.
I highly recommend Crayola WonderColor markers and paint.

  3. This product is absolutely amazing. First, all children love to use markers but markers can get messy, especially for the little ones. These markers will only work on Color Wonder products, so there will be no marker stains on your tablecloth, clothing, or children!

This high quality coloring book had an added surprise. After you color the gold trimmed princesses in this book, you can color the background and additional princesses and designs will be revealed! Gasps of awe arose from my 6 year old upon seeing that and she very much enjoyed this coloring book. The package stated for ages 3 and over.

As a side note, be sure to save your color wonder markers when you are finished. We do save our color wonder markers and finger paints, and use them on plain color wonder pads that can be purchased at toy stores.

  1. Unlike so many other 3D toys and products which just frustrate and disappoint - this toy works as advertised! The provided glasses make any bright colors appear to float or plunge back into surfaces. Each color in the rainbow appears at a different depth, so almost anything your child draws will have an interesting 3D result.

The great thing about this is that the glasses also work with drawings made with markers, pen, crayon, and even computer and video images. Anything with bright colors will pop to life.

Looking up 'chromadepth' on the internet yielded many other images which appear in glorious 3D when wearing the provided glasses.

  1. I got this for my 5 year old daughter, who loves to draw. She absolutely adores it, and so does the rest of the family! She can turn on the lights and draw in the dark. I like the way you can draw 2 different pictures and have it alternate lighting them up.

  2. We got this for our 4 year old son for Christmas! He loves it! There are 2 different plates that you draw on with the included markers. Other reviewers commented that it was difficult to erase. I didn't find that to be a problem. I just use a damp paper towel and it comes right off. I do want to note that the second drawing plate is difficult to draw on because I can't get the board to light up when you draw on it. It also stays on, most toys will turn themselves off after 5 minutes or so. Not the case here, so you need to keep track to see if it has been turned off. Other than that, I think it's a neat toy.

  3. Super Fun! Daughter plays hours with this toy. Wipe off screen and draw again over and over ...light it up for neat looking pictures! Very Satisfied with this toy!

  4. This toy is alot of fun, but when you set it up to switch between the two screens automatically, it goes a good speed, then faster, then so fast that you cant even read it, then back slow, then back fast and so on.

  5. Crayola Color Explosion Glow Board

I got the Crayola Glow Board for my five year old son and he loved it! For him the fun came from the unique effects he could make on the two panel drawing surface and then turn of the lights to see how they glow.

At first he was just drawing lines and shapes just to see the glowing effect when he turned out the lights. Then we found on Crayola.com that there were a bunch of print outs he could use to trace. They even have a program that lets him make his own two frame drawing on Crayola.com then print them out to trace on the Glow Board.

The best part for us was how much it keep him entered on a long road trip we recently did. Once it started to get e bit dark outside he was able to draw in the dark. He even made a sign that read "Are we there yet"!
