  1. I had purchased one of these when my daughter was young and she always enjoyed it. Now I have purchased one for my great niece. It's a real exercise workout for your toddler and they really really love it.

  2. Received it timely, OK price. It doesn't seem to bounce as good as some of the others I've seen but my grandson plays with it and likes it OK.

  3. My girls like the ball, but are still a little short to use it right at 32 and 16 months. But they love to roll it and bounce it, they can kinda sit on it and bounce like pilates it's cute. I can't wait until they can hop like the hippity hop when I was a kid! So 15" is too big for a 2 and a half year old. Maybe ok for when she's 3.

  1. It was a super good deal and my daughter loves it! We've watched the DVD several times. My only complaint is that the DVD is so very short and in just a few minutes I'm replaying it again. Other than that the bear is adorable and she loves toting it around the house.

  1. At long last (or at least so it seems for those of us who grew up with the Fraggles) the dvds and toys are coming out. Wembley was by far my favorite character, and I'm so happy to finally own him, but I do have to complain the colors used on his hair are very bizarre. He is not the Wembley of old. He looks like he may have gone on too many acid trips and rock concerts. But although the colors have changed, he's undeniably Wembley and will be sure to dance all your cares away.

  2. Got it as a gift for the hubby... we always talk about the shows when we think "of the old days"!

  1. What is the deal with all of these people who find the "Care Bears" too scary for their children to watch?? Yes- they always have a "villain/bad guy" in the episodes- what cartoon, or any other type of show, for that matter- does not? If you are searching for entertainment for your kids that does not portray any sort of conflict or negativity, maybe you should discard your TV set and stick to singing lullabies to your kids. The "Care Bears" cartoons are full of conflict resolution in a peaceful manner, and by trying your best, working hard, etc.- plenty of good values and kid-friendly stuff, if you ask me. If your kids are frightened by every scene in a "Care Bears" cartoon, I would suggest the problem lies with parents are who are bent on sheltering their children from every possible moment that is not sunshine, roses and eternal bliss; and not with the "Care Bears" or any other cartoon series aimed at young children. These cartoons are great- my three-year-old daughter loves them, and pretends that she is a Care Bear all the time!!!

  2. When I was little, I loved watching the Care Bears on t.v.! It was my favorite show. I even had a couple of stuffed Care Bears and some kind of Care Bear Play-do toy. Watching the Care Bears now as a twenty-two-year-old college kid sure brings back happy memories! I think it's great that they're bringing back those terrific cartoons of the eighties, like Care Bears, Smurfs, Fraggle Rock, and others!
I can understand why some younger kids might get scared by some of the bad guys in The Care Bears, because one of them used to spook me a bit, too! But those little bears always made me laugh when I was little and I absolutely loved them! Bedtime Bear is my favorite, and for Christmas last year, my best friend gave one to me! Again, it's great that they're bringing back these great toys from the eighties!
Care Bears may be a little lovey-dovey, but it was my favorite show as a kid, and I think kids today would love it too!

  3. I know some people gave "Care Bears - Kingdom of Caring" bad reviews because their kids are afraid of No-Heart (villian,) but I think Care Bears would be VERY boring without the bad guys. Without the villians, the Bears would end up picking stupid daisys during the whole movie...(yawn.) Without the villians, the Care Bear t.v show wouldn't be that popular.
I know some kids are afraid of the bad guys, but it's not like Beastly and No-Heart would pop out of the T.V. and attack you.
Message To the parents who gave this a bad review: "STOP WORRYING SO MUCH! THE SHOWS THAT ARE ON NOW ARE A LOT SCARIER THAN THE CARE BEAR VILLIANS!"

  4. For an older child I'm sure this has the potential to become a favorite. However parents of younger children beware... this may be far to scary for your little one.

My daughter received the "big wish" movie & a stuffed wish bear from her grandparents, she LOVES the movie and we watch it several times a week and she is constantly pretending to be wish bear and acting out the movie. There is nothing at all scary to a young child in that movie (she's 2 1/2) she loves carebears now so I purchased her some of the other dvd's... what a waste, she is absolutely terrified of the villians and refuses to watch the movies. I wish they would produce more of the warm fuzzy only movies for the younger set to enjoy.

  5. Compared to all the cartoons out for children these days, these cartoons are like a breath of fresh air. The Care Bears are gentle and loving, and each cartoon teaches a lesson. What impressed me the most is they gently touched on the topic of death of a loved one. In one of the episodes, a giant, who is a minor character, falls into a deep sleep, and the Care Bear cubs, Hugs and Tugs, are unable to wake him up. This saddens them, and then Baby Tugs becomes angry, because he thinks it's not fair. Tenderheart Bear explains to the cubs that the giant would not want them to be sad or angry, he would want them to remember the love that they shared, and the good times that they had. I was so surprised to see a children's cartoon touch on this in such a gentle way. I think it leaves an open door for parents to discuss serious matters such as the death of a loved one with their children after this episode.

As far as some of the reviews stating that the villain "No-Heart" is too scary for their child, unfortunately I can't give an informed opinion on that topic. When I was 2-3 years old, the only villain the Care Bears had to face was Professor Coldheart. By the time No-Heart came out, I was around 7, so he was obviously not scary to me. My nephew is 2, and when he watched it with me, he thought No Heart, Beastly and Shreeky were funny, so I think it all depends on the child.

  1. makes a great gift! very cuddly and it was exactly what I expected except it doesn't need batteries to glow like what the description says. You just hold it up under a light for 30 secs and it glows in the dark.

  2. I bought 2 this year, one for my grand daughter and one for my child from the Giving Tree. After watching my grand-daughter (3 1/2) with this one, I would say it is definitely for younger children - this is one she played with for about 5 minutes and was done with. Although Care Bears are great, I definitely recommend this for a younger child.

  1. I was quite impressed with this item, when I couldn't find it anywhere I could find it at AMAZON - and the price compared to where I had seen it previously was much better!

  2. This bear is a must-have for your Care Bear collection. I have two of these plushies, but mine are Carlton Cards store exclusives that sold out fast. They come in two sizes- regular and large. As far as I know, they are identical to this Play-by-play version besides the tags. (Photos added.) Not only are these bears light, fluffy, and velvety smooth, but they also have eye crystals.
Haven't watched the DVD yet either, but I remember the Care Bears from when I was a todler and I loved them then.

  3. Well, I thought my friend would like it for her baby. Guess what? she never gave it her. I kept wondering why and she told me its too cute to take it out of packing and give it to a baby. Funny, but I think it really is a cute buy.

  4. Great gift for kids who like the care bears in general or also for collectors or people like me who grew up with their movies and cartoons. I haven't seen the episode that comes with the bear, but since it's the first one I bet that it's also a DVD must for any collector. The bear is really soft and huggable like the pic shown of it. It has a lot of detail for the swarovski crystal eyes and the silver nose as well as the silver heart in the back wich look real pretty.

Maybe I haven't bought any toys in a really long time, but something that I liked was that in the packaging they don't damage in any way the plush bear because it has special little ribbon-like attachments were the wires go that hold up the bear in the box perfectly so you don't have any marks on it.

    Overall I loved it!

  5. We brought this bear at the sale price over the holidays...My step daughter loves it...the DVD was classic and the bear it self was very well made...we are happy with our purchase and its a shame we didn't grab more when we had the chance!! It really is a cute looking bear.
