- takes ice off with ease - no chipping it away with the ice dozer plus
- did not work very good at all. used it once and my cheapo hand scraper that cost 2 bucks was superior
- My car was crusted in a thick coat of ice. I was trying to scrape thru w/my acrylic scraper w/little success...when I remembered I got the ice dozer plus for christmas. I reached in the back seat, started scraping, and was done in 2 mins clearing all windows perfectly bare. I was on my way. I have already recommmended several people to invest in this product.
- I recently reviewed this item and gave it a lower rating. I would like to change that because of the response I received from the company. I think that the way you handle problems is as important as the product, and I was more that satisfied with the repsonse.
- I bought the dozer after a bad freezing rain storm that took me over 45 minutes to clear the ice off of my car. 2 similar storms have came since I received the product. Both times using it, I have been done scraping ice in less than 5 minutes and my morning commute was not delayed due to scraping ice. Most of the time big chunks come right off-its sweet. It almost seems that the ice hasn't been as tough as the first storm. I havent had any problems with the quality or durability. I use the corner of the blade to expose a little bit of windshield, then let the full blades do the rest with a little elbow grease. Ice comes off easily. No worries.IceDozer Plus

- I own a 100 year old 3 story home in Newport. I have learned if you want a paint job that will last, you have to go own to bare wood. I will no longer waste time painting over multi layers of old paint. Plus when all the paint is removed from moldings, the new paint lines are so crisp and beautiful. Trust me, it is worth the extra time to get rid of the old paint. You will thank yourself later.
After wasting $$ on inferior scrapers, I have found THE best. The sharp carbide blades SLICE the paint off (sometimes so smooth you barely have to sand the wood afterwards). Ergonomically designed, the handles fit great in your hand and does not cramp your grip.
I suggest to buy 2 of the smaller size so you can keep the round blade in one all the time (perfect profile for scraping cove or scotia molding) and the triangular blade in the other. Also the carbide blades seem to last forever!
Also get the larger scraper with the ball grip on the front of the scraper for larger surfaces
Thanks Bahco!

- This is a wonderful device!!!! And boy does it save your fingers! I HIGHLY recommend this if you are scraping glass after painting, or removing stickers from a window or Winsheild!!! The extra blades bundled with it, give it longevity!
- Excellent tool for removing labels from beams, removing paint from a window or any other scraping chores.
Note: Be sure to use the tool with the spring/thumb release facing out as this allows some of the tension to be relieved from the weld on the razor holder. Otherwise you will break the head when using continuously. Also, if you dull the edge of a new razor a bit before using it for the first time (just run it back and forth, edge down, on a rough surface), it will reduce the tendency of the tool to dig into a painted or other smooth surface. I know it sounds silly, but it works...

- Among all the scrapers I have, this is the best one (or the most useful one so far). This is not a finishing scraper, although you can use it on hardwood for rough shaping. It is heavy duty and did a great job cleaning out the epoxy residue on the wood. It can scrape out the old paint as well if you work on a refinishing job. (If you suspect the old paint might contain lead, do not use a scraper on it ever! I was using it on an old piano and I was pretty sure it was clear lacquer.) It is expensive, but this is indeed a case of you get what you pay for.
- This is one nice scraper, light as a feather, yet tough as nails. It may seem a little pricey as scrapers go, but when you have a boatload of paint you want to get rid of, you'll be glad you have it.
- A great tool, made in Sweden, solid construction. Nice and lite weight, yet can fall from a 4th story onto concrete and be good as new. Well worth the price, as it'll out-perform and out-last lesser quality Chinese made scrapers.
One negative: The description notes that the Bahco scraper comes with a holster, but i failed to receive one (nor have i ever seen one on the others i've bought). I'd not for a moment allow that to deter me from purchasing another, though.

5 comments about Grout Grabber GG001 Grout Removal Tool for Most Reciprocating Saws or Sawzalls.
- I used this tool to remove the grout from a whole walk-in shower room and it saved so much time and did a very good job. I found it easy to use with a reciprocating saw and sure saved a lot of energy on my part.
I was able to regrout and it now looks almost like new.
- My husband returned this one immediately. The photo shows that it will do up to 3/4" of grout, but that's only if you buy three of them (and add them together--which he didn't do). For $45 for three, you are better off investing in a much better tool to do the job. I guess if you had a 12" spot to redo, this tool might be good for you. However, my husband purchased the Fein Multimaster tool (that he saw at the same time on TV as an informercial) for $260 and is absolutely AMAZED at the speed and efficiency at which the tool removes grout--not to mention in a clean and consise manner. It saved him hours and hours worth of tedious work. He initially balked at the price, but now says that the tool is worth it's weight in gold and would certainly recommend it to anyone needing to remove grout, tile, etc.
- I removed the grout between 2" tiles on a shower floor of approx. 15 ft sq. That meant LOTS of grout lines. Fortunately they were 1/16" lines so I only had to use one blade at a time. This thing does work well, but it's still a long tedious job doing a lot of linear feet of grout lines. It took me more than one day working several hours each day. The directions recommend not using full speed of the recip saw and this is good advice. Medium speed works the best. Unlike a previous opinion, it's not that difficult to keep the blade in the grout lines, but no matter how steady your hand the blade will eventually jump out of the line once or twice. Murphy's law. I had a matte finish tile and it did no noticeable damage when the blade accidentally jumped out and hit the tile face. I think if you had a gloss porcelin tile it might put a noticeable scratch on the tile face. The recip saw is bulky and hard to maneuver in small areas, but my floor was a larger area and it wasn't a problem. Working on vertical surfaces is probably more difficult than a floor due to the weight of the saw and the time involved. Packaging says its "dustless" and it pretty much is. It won't foul the air in your work area like dry sawing through drywall or tile will. It just leaves a dry mound of powdered grout along the lines. It's helpful to have the shopvac handy to suck that up every few minutes, mostly so you can see the line better. Overall, there's probably better tools at quickly removing grout (i.e. Feinmaster),but if you've got the time this is probably the best bang for the buck.
- I made a mistake buying this item. It will never be used by me in the future. There was no info in the description which clearly showed one would need a reciprical electrical saw to use it. I thought it was a hand tool.
This item is for a professional who works on a whole room of tile. I just needed to remove ten tiles in one row.
I ended up using a chisel and hammer to complete the job.
- I bought this tool so that I could remove selected floor tiles for some kitchen remodeling. It is outstanding! is tears the grout out like a hot knife through butter. You have to be careful because it will also cut in to the subfloor, in my case concrete. It is not "dustless" as the package claims, but the dust is coarse enough to not really get airborne. The only problem that I had was that I had to go elsewhere on the internet to get additional cutter blades. They show using 4 blades to remove wider grout lines. Get one more blade, then space them out with washers to get the desired witdth. If there is any grout left in between it will pop out easily. This tool works as advertised, and will make your tile removal / re-grouting job a lot easier!

- I found this product very useful in the preliminary stages of guitar neck shaping, it did a good job in the roughing in of the shape, and I also found it good for shaping the guitar body as well.
- This tool is a must have. Buy it. You'll never see these at the local stores at a reasonable price anyways. And, the kids at the stores will think you're from Mars if you ask for this. A great tool to have in the box if needed. Order the extra blade when you buy this. It's a lifetime tool.
- The Stanley 12-951 Contractor Grade Spokeshave is a good first spokeshave. It is easy to fine tune and easy to use. I was a bit disappointed in the sharpening of the blade and it had a rough sole plate, but with a little bit of work it is a nice piece. If you are looking to do your first work with a spokeshave and don't want to spend a lot of money on it, this is the tool for you.
- This is a nice, solid and well made tool. As other reviewers have noted, it wasn't terribly sharp, the blade had grind marks on it, and the sole is a bit coarse upon arrival. After some sharpening, and lapping down the sole and the cap it is really good. No need to spend more that is for sure.
It is easy to find good illustrated guides to tuning up a spokeshave through a web search, and it only takes about half an hour to do.
- I got this spokeshave to use in my bow making. It will take about 45-60 minutes with wet/dry sandpaper from 80 to 600 or 1500 grit to flatten and polish the bottom and to give the blade a good edge, but then it will really make some shavings. It even works decently on ipe.

- This blade is a great price and is very, very sharp. I had to use it only on my glass top stove for a few days before I could start using it on my countertops since it is so sharp. It's easy to pull the blade out and swap it's position so the sharp side is protected. Great for windows and glass top stoves. I love the convenient small size.
- I've used these little scrapers everywhere -- home, garage, and office. You might not think such a small handle offers much improvement over a bare blade, but it provides significantly more control and leverage. The blade does not retract, but you can store the scraper by reversing the blade so the sharp edge is inside the handle. Or, if you're lazy like me, you can also wedge the blade between two flat surfaces such as the front & bottom of a drawer.
