1. I had seen a much larger version of this a year or so ago. I didn't realize how small this was. It's the size of a pen you can put in your pocket. I paid $12 for groung shipping which was a total rip-off given this could have been sent in a regular envelope. I didn't read the fine print and thought this was a walking stick size pole. Go to your local hardware store to buy this. Don't bother with it on line.



2. If you've ever dropped an important part while assembling or taking apart something, you know how critical a problem that can be - one use makes it worth the modest price in saved aggravation and frustration.

1. The sweeper does a great job of picking up nails, even in thick grass. I used it after getting a new roof and it picked up numerous nails even after the contractor had previously swept the area.

1. The sweeper works well around the yard, picking up nails from a recent roof replacement. Though the original item arrived with a broken handle, I emailed the manufacturer and they sent a replacement within a few days. Lightweight and with a handy pump release mechanism, it's a good value for the price.



2. I have used the rolling magnet and it works fine. The packaging could be a little better and the magnet itself a little stronger, but I have no complaints with this product for a home user.



3. Firstly, this item was on back order for about 3 months. When I finally decided to not respond to 'accept' an additional new ship date, the item magically was in the mail to me.
   
   Secondly, the item arrived broken at the base where the handle meets the roller part.
   
   Thirdly, Amazon is not responsible for returns on this item. You must go through the manufacturer and finding that information. The manufacturer was not open to return/refunds and only wanted to ship another one to me. We'll see how the second one does....



4. i received the first one broken so they are not that sturdy. when i rec'd my replacement i went out to use it but it really did not work as well as i thought it would in the grass. the grass would knock off some of the nails. i just wish the magnet was stronger. it ended up breaking as well a couple of weeks later.



5. I should have known better with the price.
   This magnetic , well kind of , sweeper is total junk. The wheels are 2 1/2 " diameter and the magnet is 3/4" higher than the bottom of the wheels. If you try to use it in grass the grass knocks off the nails it does pickup.
   My bad for not checking the weight. It only weighs 3.2 lbs. total.

1. The sweeper arrived in good shape and went together easily and I eargerly took it outside, after coming home from work, to begin picking up nails from a recent re-roofing job. Grass that is taller than the bar will dislodge nails, etc....so I found myself clearing off the bar every time I heard the 'click' of another nail being attracted to the bar; this worked but I didn't cover as much ground as I had hoped before it got dark. Although the bar is height adjustable, this requires one to take a wrench to unlock hex nuts and retighten in order to adjust to the current grass level. It would be great to have a system wherein the height could be adjusted 'on the fly' and not have to stop, find the wrench, and adjust both ends independantly, depending on the changing grass height.



2. This sweeper picks up everything it claims. We are still picking up nails at our construction site and will likely continue to do so for several more months.



3. We use these to pick up metal chips in our machine shop, works great, very lightweight and a good value for the price.

1. This thing is, in my opinion, the best magnetic sweeper available. It isn't to expensive, and it works great!!



2. This is the one to get. There are others out there for $80-125... buy this one instead.



3. My foremen love this product. Works great in picking up nails, etc. and the quick release works so easily.



4. Some friends are building their home and experienced flat tires on both their vehicles due to discarded nails on the ground around the building site. I gave them the HEAVY-DUTY 36" Magnetic Sweeper for Concrete, Carpet & Grass! - Quick-Release Unload and they were thrilled. After using it the first time they were amazed at how much scrap metal, including nails and screws, was found around their place. Well worth the price.
