- This is the best little saw I have ever used.
It is sharp as the dickens and retracts to stash in my hip pocket.
Sooo nice. I lost mine so I am buying a couple more befor Fiskars looses its' mind and discontinues it
- I recently came home to several fallen branches. I was able to cut through 4" wide branches with incredible ease and speed. Fantastic!
- Friends and I do a lot of clearing trail in the forest and have tried different small saws, all of us agree this is the best one we have EVER come across. It cuts quickly and smoothly, stays sharp a long time. We have used it not only to cut branches, but downed trees that are wider then the saw is long. Doesn't take long with this little saw.
- This saw is great for backpacking. It's really light and cuts through wood faster than any other saw I have used. It's light enough that I take it on day hikes in case of emergency. I have cut through logs bigger than the length of the blade in about 5 minutes.
- i primarily bght this based on the reviews. where were they coming from i ask after seeing this cheap, flimsy, overpriced excuse for a saw. the one for ten bucks at harbor freight would be the better buy, i shoulda stuck with that.
this has a very light plastic handle with a screw knob to tighten the extended blade. the blade will not extend with the belt clip in. a rather foolish design element, not to mention the belt attachment easily comes off the knife...and there would go the saw, lost in the woods.
i feel rather ripped off in quality and price (having paid 12.10). imagine how bad you would feel at paying more. this thing at best is worth only ten bucks, and that is iffy. small priced things as this is not worth sending back, but i would never have bought this had i actually seen and held it.

- This saw always amazes me at how well and smooth it cuts with very little "muscle" on my part. One of my favorite tools.
- When used as a fret cutting saw, this little pull saw cuts an accurate slot of just the right width kerf for press fitting frets in a guitar fretboard. A great addition to a luthiers tool kit.
- I've used this saw to flush cut dowel rods after making furniture repairs. It's excellent for that task. The blade is made of good Japanese steel and it is sharp. It's nice, too, that the blade is replaceable. All in all, this is a good tool and a good value.
- Please see my review of Shark 58-9018 -- have purchased several Shark tools (think I labeled these Sharp -- which they also are). You cannot go wrong with purchasing these.

- In the construction of my house, I found a regular handsaw somewhat exhausting to use. A circular saw creates an incredible mess. To finish my basement, I bought this Sharksaw. What a find! Using this, instead of a circular saw, kept the sawdust from flying all over the basement and the rest of the house. The saw cuts wood incredibly fast on the pull stroke! No longer do I get worn out from using a handsaw to cut multiple boards.
I cut through hundreds of boards(2x4, 2x6, 1x3, plywood, treated) with ease, leaving a near perfectly smooth cut edge every time. The saw is very easy to start and guide a square edge with. When ripping, it is more difficult to guide. But it does ripcut. The blade is very narrow, so it cuts not much wider than a pencil line. The blade is very sharp. Treat it as you would your sharpest meat cutting knife. It comes with a plastic cover for the edge and a cardboard sheath. It has a hole in the blade to hang on a peghook. This saw features compact size, ease of use, accuracy of cut, and easy clean up. This will be my only handsaw. I love it!
- Cut on the pull, easy blade replaceent and high quality construction.
- Light, sharp, easy to use -- you can't run out of good things to say about this great saw. The thin blade cuts through wood, particleboard, PVC, whatever -- with virtually no effort. And the pull saw is very easy to control to get precise cuts with minimal effort. I like this saw so much I often find myself using it instead of my circular saw. A perfect tool.
- Thanks to those others who published their comments. Not only did they prove true, they substantiated the claims of the vendor. A great saw for a great price.
- This is a great saw. How easy does this make sawing? I had to cut a strip off two pieces of plywood (3/4"). Each piece was 2ft....4ft of sawing. My table saw was currently set up with a rip blade, changing to the crosscut blade would have taken just under 2 minutes. Cutting by hand was faster, one minute flat.

5 comments about Stanley 20-045 15-Inch Fat Max Hand Saw.
- This hand saw is very sharp. The 15" size makes it very handy for the home, and it is suitable for basic construction or even hobby work. Mine was first used for a gardening project. It is designed to cut on both push and pull strokes. It is a nine point saw.
It has a nice soft molded foam handle that gives an easy grip.
- This baby is a serious little saw. Not for making nice clean cuts but as a rough cut saw that cuts in both directions I love it. It can be faster than my circular saw since this requires no setup. And its cheap.
- This is a very handy tool. Function like it said. We started using this few weeks ago, still using it. It does all the work for all needs. Highly recommended !!!
- It doesn't matter if you're a professional framer or contractor, this saw handles about 90% of your usual cutting chores. It has a short length so lugging it around isn't much of a problem, and your rip strokes do an incredible amount of work for you considering the size and cost. In fact, it'll perform as well as saws costing much more. The steel quality is very good, such that you can forget to touch it up with a file for a year and still get your work done. Finally, it has a carpenter square handle so when you need a right angle quick, just pull the pencil off your ear and mark it. I can't say enough good things about such a useful tool for everyone's basic home tool set; just buy it already.

- I live in South Florida and have lived and worked through three major hurricanes. In the aftermath, there is always a ton of ground clearing to do - downed trees and blown down fences have to be cut up and moved to the curb for pickup. Last Hurricane, no power for 13 days. I had one chain saw and the Fat Max. My neighbor took the Chain, and I took the Fat Max Saw. He did the large stuff, and I did limbs and trunks about as big around as your leg. He kept looking over at me like I was superman. He had never used the Fat Max, which just plows through wood like butter. No Kidding. Get this, on a single stroke, forward or backward, you can watch the saw sinking through the wood as the sawdust flies. It is amazing. After things returned to normal, I bought my neighbor a Fat Max. You. Wll. Be. Amazed. --Mykal Banta

5 comments about DEWALT DW3970 12-Inch High Tension Hack Saw Frame.
- Easy to use and sturdy, just like all DeWalt products.
- Strong & solid. This saw doesn't flex much at all. The handle is a little too large for my liking. It would be nice if it was slightly slimmer. I've got pretty big hands, but I found my right hand a little stiff after cutting through a metal tube. Also, the blade it comes with isn't very good. But, I wasn't expecting it to come with a blade at all. So, I suppose I can't really complain about a free blade, now can I?
- This is no doubt one of the best saws of this type you will ever own.
- I used to think all hack saws were the same, until I ran across this little beauty. The tension adjustment is perfect. I have a tendency to over tighten my blades, which warps and ruins them. This saw just clicks the blade into place at just the right tension.
Very comfortable to hold, easy to control, with a nice guard to keep you from getting hurt.
To top it all off, there is storage for blades inside the frame, so I actually have a chance of finding the blades I bought when it comes time to use the saw.
I really like this.
- This is by far the best built and most well thought out hacksaw I have ever seen. Super sturdy. Blade storage. Quick change and has 45 degree. It is a little more than some others but you will have it for a lifetime.

5 comments about Stanley 20-556 6-Inch FatMax Jab Saw.
- I have a 40 year old house that I have been doing a bit of work on - including adding outlets and wiring for data ports among other things. I picked this little wall board saw to help in these efforts and I am truly impreressed with its performance. The teeth cut VERY agressively, which is a huge plus when you have a lot of holes to cut. I am also very pleased with the comfort of the handle and the fact that the blade is rigid enough to "jab" it through drywall without having to drill a starter hole.
All in all this saw is a great performer and worth every penny.
- This is part of my arsenal to deal with a bathroom do-over.
- Nice jab saw. Used it to prune away a brush from lattice work. Versatile, keep in your tool bag. Not just for drywall.
- This tool works great on drywall and even cement backerboard. It has gone through a large remodeling project and still seems very sharp.
- This really is a great saw. I have a couple of other drywall saws, and this is the one I always reach for first. The thick rubber handle is "grippy" and feels great in the hand. The tip is really sharp, and strong enough to punch right through drywall (give it a little tap with a hammer for a cleaner cut).
I couldn't find my hacksaw the other day and ended up using it to saw through a PVC pipe, which it handled with aplomb. Very versatile!

5 comments about Shark Corp 10-2440 Fine Cut Saw.
- This saw is simply wonderful. I worked as professional in the last 27 years and I never used any better saw. Only 20% of effort for a perfect result.
- This tool worked perfectly for sawing the bottom of door trim for installing hardwood floors. There are other products that advertise that they do the same job but are many times more than the cost of the saw.
- I needed to do precision cuts on two 6x8 posts (cross and rip cuts) and knew that none of my power tools would work well. I have one of the Shark general carpentry saws and really like it so I got this one. Wow, it makes a really clean, precise cut without much difficulty. I have used it on some other odd cut off jobs and it is really good. Well worth getting it.
- Super sharp and fast, smooth cut. I mostly use this saw for undercutting door jambs and casing in prep for tile and hardwood. Beware of nails though! I have ruined 2 or 3 blades by hitting nails that were buried in the bottom of the door jamb( door installer didn't remove shipping nails).
I never use the rip edge though ,wish both sides were crosscut.Shark does make a model that is crosscut on both sides but not in the 17tpi. Very impressed with Shark tools, their prybar/nail puller is indispensable.
- If you're used to Western saws, it might take you a while to get used to a pull saw. Usually, that's about five minutes!
This saw has two cutting edges, one for ripping and one for cross-cutting, and it does both really well. It's light, extremely sharp, and makes short work of just about anything. I have a table saw, band saw, jig saw and circular saw, but unless I have to make many repetitive cuts this is the saw I use.
You can pay a little more and get the same kind of saw with a fancy handle. Plastic works just fine for me.

5 comments about Denali 5-Piece Outdoor Utility and Emergency Kit.
- The tools appear to be identical to item number B00005A1HG, this kit is exactly what they say it is. I needed a kit that I could use from time to time when camping or for around the home. I don't think the tools are meant to be used everyday but they are more than adequate for the occasional use. The axe is extremely sharp and the case is compact and tough. You will not cut a tree down with the pruning saw but I had no problem with small branches, the handle is very comfortable and the blade is very sharp. I was a bit leery about the shovel at first but after tightening it down nice and tight, it became pretty sturdy and easy to use. It is after all a folding shovel. A good set for the price.

The Denali 5 piece Outdoor Utility and Emergency Kit is exactly what anyone would want to have in
their car especially during the winter. It comes conveniently stowed in an excellent case that holds
a good quality shovel, a multi tool set, a swivel flashlight and a hatchet.
Possibly for any stray fallen cherry trees that might need chopping (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
There is even available storage for any other small item you might want to add. I added an Emergency Safety Hammer to mine. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box as I wasn't really expecting the kit to be of such good quality! This would make a great gift. Buy it you never know when you might need to use it. Nice to have . . . just in case! ~ The Boss
- Some of these tools are cheap China knock offs of Leatherman and others.
If you want the best keep shopping.
- I received my kit within days of placing my order ( Excellent service !)
And I am very pleased with the items contained inside the travel case.
I consider the Kit an excellent value and would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting the added security that an emergency kit provides.
- This is the best tool to be selected for camping. Easy to use and light to carry. Every thing you need for camping will be found in this package tools.

5 comments about Milwaukee 48-08-0401 Quik-Lok Job Saw.
- This tool has saved me a number of times in the short time I've had it. Working in the plumbing trade presents a number of challenges and working in tight spaces is one of the challenges we face quite often. This little saw equipped with a sawzall blade packs quite a punch but in a small package. Highly recommended.
- the most versatle hand tool only limited by the blade combination you install in this handle, a great choice
- This saw is handier that what I was expecting. Will take standard reciprocating saw blades. Milwaukee also has a set of specialized blades for this saw. Great tool for the tool box.
- I highly recommend this to anyone with a toolbox. Literally a 1001 uses and still counting....
- There I was, looking around on Amazon for nothing in particular, and up pops this little baby. My boss (construction and demo) has a similar thing, but it's old and rickety and has a manual mechanism for locking the blades.
This thing has a nice weight to it, the nifty Quick-Lok Milwaukee key, and works quite well for small cuts in tight places, or for finishing the Sawzall cut when you want to avoid slicing into the electricity.
The handle has the ability to screw in a broom handle, but I think that'd be kind of silly unless you loan the tool to your grandpa so he can cut that sprig off his apple tree in the back yard.
This is one of those tools where the boss quietly looks at it without saying anything, and you know he secretly wants to hold it and have one for himself.

5 comments about Shark 10-2204 Dowel/Dovetail/Detail Saw.
- This is one of the least expensive tools I have, yet it never leaves my bench and I can't think of a tool I enjoy using more. The blade is extremely sharp, and its thinness and flexibility make cutting mortises easy. It slices through wood effortlessly, and with a laser-like clean line.
Just buy it -- it's so cheap that if you don't like it, you aren't out much. And I bet you'll agree with all these other reviewers that this saw is a gem.
- As a custom woodworker I have a love for tools that do the job I need done. The is the greatest little saw on the market. The only draw back is trying to find someone that sells it without going on line.
- I bought this to try as a saw to cut dovetails or tenons. If you're cutting a door jam or cutting dowels, it works great. Just don't be fooled by the dovetail saw aspect of the ad. Way too flimsy. I'll be going with a back-saw, like I should have done in the first place.
- Buy this saw if you do any type of finish carpentry. I use mine all the time. Very thin accurate cut.
Blade bends like a piece of paper so you can get it flush to the wood to cut off dowels when pinning a tenon. Plenty of other uses.
- I own many of the Shark range of saws, and each is an awesome tool. Ultra sharp and hold their edge well. Pull saws are much easier to use than traditional western-style push cutting saws. This saw is equally as good and with a flexible blade is betetr suited for smaller detail cuts. Very happy with saws fast cutting ability which also leaves a nice smooth edge.
