1. I AM A PROFESSIONAL CARPENTER AND METAL WORKER AND I WILL TELL YOU THAT THIS PUNCH IS VERY POOR FOR THE PRICE. I BOUGHT MINE A YEAR AGO AND AM VERY SORRY THAT I DID. IT LEAVES NEXT TO NO INDENTATION IN THE MATERIAL AND A DRILL BIT WILL SLIDE RIGHT OFF OF IT. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A STARRETT AND HAVE FOUND THAT IT IS WELL WORTH THE FEW EXTRA DOLLARS FOR AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. DON'T GO CHEAP, GET THE REAL DEAL!

1. I install molding every day. It's the best way to set (choose your slang)wires, pins, brads, and finish nails. No hammer needed so it nearly eliminates ever pushing the joint out of whack that you just spent time aligning and nailing together.



2. I've had one of these for about eight years. It's been useful for setting finish nails when there's not room to swing a hammer or a hammer isn't at hand. It's basically a nail set tip attached to a spring attached to a length of drill rod (all nicely machined of course). You pull back the rod and let it go to drive the tip onto the nail. It's a great design and couldn't be simpler or more foolproof.

1. Cheap quality. They rusted quickly. I am a full time carpenter so I depend on quality tools. I suppose these would be fine for an average home owner who likes to tinker around. They don't meet up to the demands of the job.

1. Get one of these for your tool pouch. The cat's paw end easily digs out any size nail with minimal damage, it's a good size to hold and large enough to be hard to lose. Caution: the hardened nail set tip will break off if you use it for prying.



2. See my review under Shark 58-9018. This nail set works great. The mini prybar on the other end is real handy while you're setting nails as well as usefully being like a second tool.

1. This is the best punch money can buy...PERIOD!!!. FLAWLESS operation. works better than any overpriced snap-on punch or any cheap bulky $1.99 punch.The slim pencil design is by far superior to anything in existance. It is that good!!Think About It..



2. This little punch works better than I would have expected for the price. I bought it as a backup to my Starrett punch but find I am using it more. It's light weight makes it convenient to keep in a shirt pocket.

3. Lightweight. Works well on belts made of material other than 100% genuine leather. Requires more effort on worn, softened leather. You get what you pay for.

1. I have been using these for a few months and I love them. Easy to grip and manuever. Then again its a pretty simple tool.

   Grip it. Nail it. Set it.
   The Stanley 3 Piece Cushion Grip Set is much better than the one I had been using. Amazing how a little ingenuity can make such a basic tool so much easier to use. A better grip, longer handle, less vibration, color coded, beveled tips and a new square design to prevent rolling are all good improvements to a simple tool. I keep the set in one of my McGuire Nicholas 3 Small Bags inside my tool bag. Stanley 'hit the nail on the head', with this one! Sorry, I just couldn't resist! ~ The Boss



3. Its nice that they are color coded, but who in the world would possibly remember which is which - not me! Anyway, they are easy to hold, and easy to see in the tool bag (Veto Pro).



4. Standard nail sets are uncoated steel, which is prone to rust, slippery to hold, and difficult to determine the size.
   
   It is surprising to me that a simple, color-coded rubber coating is all it took to fix every one of these issues with standard nail sets. I'll even add another advantage: the bright colors make them easy to spot in the bottom of a toolbox, where they inevitably land.
   
   This is such an innovation, that I really think all nail sets should be made this way.
   
   Highly recommended.

1. this punches the leather, but it takes alot of force to push it through. i am using on 1/8" thick.
   it came slathered in grease and took an hour to get clean. its really heavy and felt confident that it would last, but the punches are fairly dull, and my wrist hurt terribly after about 5 punches. im not happy with it, but out of the 3 i purchsed, its the one that actually goes through the leather.



2. This leather punch works fine and arrived the next day despite coming from a third party by regular shipping. I am happy and all the more likely to look for more kinds of things on Amazon.



3. Order was placed on 1/7/08 and the order was received on 1/10/08. I am
   completely satisfied with the way it works, but have a few comments on
   the tool.
   
   It was nicely packaged but once it was opened I discovered a very
   greasy tool that needs a thorough cleaning. Especially the extra
   punchers that are screwed to the handle. In addition, the handles
   appear to be a little rusted. Finally, the area that the extra punchers
   are kept was not finished with care. It seems like when the holes were
   made where the pieces screw in, the metal that was take out was not
   cleaned. Despite this, I am satisfied how it punches holes in my leather
   belts. Depending on the belt, you might need to give it a very tight squeeze.



4. Good Product. Easy to use and really creates a nice hole in the leather.
