  1. More air and very quiet compared to the porta cable I previously owned, although some what heavier. The porta cable was a toy compared to this Dewalt. I've read reviews where people complained that their product was damaged in shipment, but mine was perfect and I got it in 2 days even though I went super saver shipping. I am well pleased with the product and the service.

  2. I purchased the compressor through Amazon and had no problems at all. The compressor is everything I expected it to be. I've used it with my DeWalt brad nailer putting up moldings, and with a rented floor nailer. The compressor worked exceptionally well for both applications. The compressor is not noisey which I was a little concerned with after reading other reviews. I have not used the compressor with a framing nailer but plan to in the near future. I did not realize that there were two types of fittings for compressors and tools, automotive and industrial. You cannot interchange the two so decide which ones to go with and stick with that. I do think one or the other is considered standard and I would probably go with the standard. The rental unit had a standard fitting on it, as I was told.

  3. Product performed flawless during 3 days of flooring installation supplying air to a floor nailer and a finish nailer. Easy to break-in, easy to use. A bit more information on what is included would be helpful for future customers. A standard threaded single connection is all that is provided (perhaps I did not look close enough at the photos/literature) - no quick connects installed on this product. A quick trip to the local tool store and an hour is all that was required to remedy the situation.

  4. Compressor works great! Plenty of air for my Passlode framing nailer. Quick recovery; not too loud; easy to carry around. It would have been nice for it to come with the quick connector included but that's a minor deal. Bought it from Amazaon and got it within three days....free shipping!

  5. Pleased and surprised w/ purchase. Typically purchase from a local vendor, but found Amazon's pricing much better. Took a chance w/ purchase of equipment online and have been pleased with the result.

  1. This compressor works well and does the things I want it to do. It is easy to move around to good locations. I am not a contractor, so I don't know how it would perform under more extreme use.

  2. Very good compressor, a little on the heavy side, but has plenty of
power and air for my hardwood flooring work. A professional's tool
I tried the Thomas 3 gallon and felt like it was made for assembling
model airplanes or blowing the dust off your safety glasses

  3. I've had this DeWalt compressor for three years and have cussed it the last two years. It performs horribly when it's cold, takes a long time to fill with air and is fairly loud. I really didn't realize how much I hated it until I finally had enough and purchased a Makita MAC2400. It is twice the compressor, performs great when it's cold and is half as loud as the DeWalt. The Makita is a little heavier, but for only $20 more you get a much better compressor.

  4. beat home depot by a hundred bucks. now i have an extra hunsky for a massage!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Not enough air flow for most of my needs. Only buy for very light work. The air outlet is too close to the handle, had to change it around.

  1. Highly portable. Light weight. We fill car, truck, rv tires and do everything else with it. We love it. Lots better than the old huge clunker compressors. Lots better than the little "toy" compressors too.

  2. I was actually looking for one of those 12 volt dc compressors that plugs into the accessories outlet of the car, but my auto mechanic-brother-in-law recommended that I go with a pancake compressor. I'm glad I took his advise. It's great for keeping the tires on our cars properly inflated, blowing the dust out of air filters and tools, and even cleaning the empty mouse nest out the engine of the garden tractor.
I was originally worried that it might take up too much space in the garage but it's very compact, light, and highly mobile. Great price, too. No post-purchase regrets.

  3. Was using a one gallon Campbell Haus compressor. It was incredibly loud and didn't hold much air. Using it for filling car and atv tires. Wanted more air capacity and quiter use. This Porter Cable six gallon is far better and quieter too. The extra accessories included with the WK version is less expensive than the standard C2002. Very nice unit and well built. Meets all my needs and runs less often due to the 6 gallon tank. Delivered on time as promised by Amazon. Well done!

  4. I'm a framer and carpenter with a 4 man crew. We run 2 framing nailers off this compressor every day.

It's bulletproof, very well made, liteweight and has a great refill time.

  5. The Porter Cable Pancake Compressor is nice little compressor to have around the house. It's handy for keeping tires inflated to the correct pressure and having compressed air for blowing off the top of the work bench etc. The accessories aren't anything to get excited about but they will get you started. The hose that comes with the compressor is the stiff plastic type and not a nice rubber hose so it's a hard to roll up to keep out of the way. The write up states that the accessory pack is a $29.99 value, I'd rather have the money to purchase some better quality accessories.

  1. I received my inflater this morning and have already used it twice! I fixed a flat on my wheelchair, and pumped up my van tire. Anyone / everyone with inflatable wheels will find this tool completely amazing! This tool is awesome and I recommend buying one for anyone with wheels: but make sure you get one for yourself too! The whole series of these VPX portable tools use the same batteries: I can't wait to receive my power inverter with usb charger output! Flat tires won't stop me anymore! Thank You B&D: these tools are BAD to the Bone!

  2. I own black and deckers older versapak inflator. This one has better batteries so it works at least as well even though the older unit might have a better pumping action. I used this to pump up the tires on my trailer, I think it mostly drained a battery (didn't stop but I could hear a change in the sound of the pump) but the fact remains it took two trailer tires up 40 pounds each without killing a battery. I haven't tried it on the car tires or the bike tires yet but I'm not afraid to. Just be sure you've got a bunch of charged batteries. The local home depot was clearing these out so I got a good price, this system is worth the price, it should be around awhile since I noticed the batteries and devices at walmart. The guy with the problem with it blowing the valve off either didn't have it on right or got a bad one, I've had no problems with mine, this would be great for blowing up an air mattress when you go camping and then the same batteries run the small vac for sucking sand off the floor of the tent when you fold it up. Like the system but this unit doesn't come with batteries or a charger you get that with the drill or the driver or the saw.

  3. I was purchase to use whit my motorcycle. Its work very fine.... I recomend it

  4. After I bought my 1st VPX item I was hooked. I had the line of B&D tools using the 3.6V batteries but with time and lent tools that were never seen again I needed to update. The item that concerned me most was the inflator, as the ads don't specify car tire inflation as a job they do well. I drive a Prius and like to keep tires them fully inflated and my prior Inflator still worked but I hate replacing ever more expensive 3.6V replacement batteries. These new VPX batteries hold more of a charge for a longer time. Anyway I found the new pump able to top-off four tires on a single battery (up to 40 lbs of pressure) without a problem.
Light-weight, more power and runs longer. I'll go to 5 stars if it keeps working like new.
Black & Decker VPX1501 VPX Inflator

  5. I also own the Versapak version of this product. It is made much stronger and has a 12" hose. The short hose severely hampers the use in many applications. The pressure gauge is super inaccurate. It is plenty powerful for most applications. BD knows how to do thus better just look at their previous VP700. Love the lithium batteries. I have bought other items in the VPX line and have been very pleased.

  1. I was very suprised as to the power of this tool, it sinks a 2 inch nail with no problem. The batteries lasts longer then I thought they would, it's very light and most of all the price was RIGHT ! Great tool, no complaints.

  2. This is a toy
save your money a nd buy one with a cord for a lttle more
    and a lot more value

  3. Pressureswitch never worked, unit doesn1t cycle. Machine works fine on manual switching. How do I get a press. switch replacement ?

  4. The unit came with two rechargable 12v batteries and a auto-stop charger. A 6-8' coiled air hose with quick connects is included. A shoulder strap is provided for the 6.6 lbs compressor.

Both batteries were "empty" when shipped. The first battery took less than one hour to fully charge. I attached my DeVilbiss brad nailer to the compressor and started it up. It took 10 seconds to go from 0-120 PSI. It is surprisingly quiet. No louder than my ROS.

I loaded a strip of 100 18ga 1" brads. I nailed a piece of fir molding to a piece of 3/4" Birch Plywood. I shot as fast as I could, moving the nailer slightly between shots. I did not wait the two seconds recommended. I shot all 100 in a matter of minutes. Only six of the brads did not fully seat. At least some of those could be chalked up to my bad technique. When I waited the two seconds they all seated perfectly.

This works a lot better than I had hoped. It's just what I had in mind

  5. Like many have stated, this product is perfect for a task in which you don't want to drag out the large compressor and fire it up. If you have something you need attached in the attic or crawl space you'd be glad you had this.

For me it fired about 60-70 2" brads before it needed recharging. It seems well built to me. The plastic housing is tough(no cracks after a few drops). The strap and attachemnts are good quality metal.

This is just a neat product, but it is not for large jobs. I would deduct 1 star because there is no case but the discounted price makes up for that.

  1. The product came on time and it is working great for my needs. That's it.

  2. i'm a finish carpenter and have used this compressor for two years now with no troubles. customers like how quite it runs compared to noisy pancake compressors. it was worth the 150 bucks i paid for it two years ago.

  3. senco is a fine product, but hard to find couplings to get going. Thanx

  4. going from the world of contracting to the world of handyman repairs i was looking for a compressor that wouldnt take up too much space. a friend ranted and raved about this little one. its super light. the design is easy to carry for those small jobs and its powerfull enough to shoot 15g finish nails all day. it will fire my framer but im not into burning out tools needlessly. if you're framing for more than a 1/2 hour use a bigger compressor. on top of everything 110$ delivered to my doorstep though amazon.com.

  5. I purchased this compressor to help me with door casings and floor molding on a recent home renovation. I was delighted with the performance of this compressor, especially how quiet it runs. I have used pancake compressor before and they make you jump every time they recycle. This machine is barely audible as it hums when it runs versus banging away. I used a small nail finishing gun and the compressor only cycled every five minutes of so. I highly recommend this compressor for its portability, quiet running and reserve capacity.

  1. I had two concerns when I bought this compressor -

1.) The weight I had heard so many people complain about.

2.) The high rate of damage complains due to shipping.

As for the weight - May I be the first one to say I'm pleasantly surprised that it's not as heavy as I expected. After reading all the reviews here I was worried that I'd be sorry I purchased it as most of my uses for it require a fair amount of mobility.

It's heavy, but it's not THAT heavy. I'd say it's on the higher end of being portable - pushing the envelope, but it's still very portable. You won't enjoy carrying it up three flights of stairs, but you'll do it without stopping (if anybody's watching) - and you still won't have a heart attack.

    Now for shipping damage...

Well I got lucky. It arrived in almost perfect condition ... there was a small ding in one end of each of the tubes. No paint flaking, or any cause for concern. It could have left the manufacturer like that for all I know, but I figured I should mention it here.

Maybe if I hold the safety valve in and pump up the pressure real high, the dings will pop out... : )

    Other than that it's perfect.

Dials are clear and easy to read, regulator works smoothly. it's a great compact size. Solid as a rock. Time will tell how tough it really is, but at least I don't feel I have to baby this thing.

If I HAD to complain about anything... two VERY minor issues:

1.) The drain valve. I love that they used a simple-to-operate ball valve, but why on earth do they not mount it on the very bottom of the tank? You have to tip the compressor back 30 degrees or so to get it on the bottom as you drain it. It's not hard to do, but WHY make us do it? They could raise the tank 1/4 of an inch so the valve would have the same ground clearance at the bottom as it does now. (the only reason I can think they don't is that maybe for people who don't drain it often enough, sediment build up becomes a problem, clogging the drain and leading people to believe there's no water in it when they finally DO drain it... ?)

2.) the sheet metal face plate near the handle. The opening in it is too small to use two hands comfortably on the handle. You'll notice it when lifting the compressor up high, or holding it in front of you to walk down a narrow hallway or door openings, etc. The sheet metal is purely decorative, and that's what makes it a bit annoying. It's one of those design over function issues.

If they moved the drain valve down and cut the sheet metal shroud straight across, and rubberized the entire grip bar - I would then give this compressor six stars.

OH - the manual - in addition to not telling me what to do with the aircleaner, they are also not very clear on which valve to open when doing the 20 minute break in run. I think they call it the "receiver valve" or something else odd-sounding. To this day I don't know if I really broke mine in properly - I opened the drain valve and let it run.

One positive regarding the directions - and I have to THANK MAKITA from the bottom of my heart on this one:

They give you a COMPLETELY SEPARATE instruction book COMPLETELY IN ENGLISH!!!! One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is having to look through a set of directions, skipping the spanish, the french, and the german sections to get to the next english step, or having to skip every other page, or flip it over backwards and upside down.

And one final note: If you're trying to decide between the 2400 and the 700 (as I was). The 2400 kicks on after about a dozen or so nails with a hitachi finish nailer. (I'm used to a big tank compressor that almost never kicks on) I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing the 700 runs quite a bit while nailing. Not that that's a horrible thing, but I'm thinking that the 2400 should live longer.

I haven't given it a good try out with a framing nailer yet, but I'm thinking the 700 would be a little too small for that - I think it'd work for a non-pro framer, but I think it would really be the wrong compressor for the job.

I also like having 4.2cfm for air ratchets etc. for the occassional car fixes. I like that extra flexibility.

You WILL lose SOME portability. This thing does make you think twice about moving it from room to room, but on the other hand, with a 50 foot hose, you usually don't need to. If most of your work requires you to get it into a house and leave it in one spot - this is absolutely the compressor for you.

However, if you do a lot of remodel work in ultra high end homes where you can't even think about bumping into anything accidentally, or cringe at the thought of dragging a rubber hoses across the legs of a $20,000 settee - well then the 700 is probably the wiser choice.

Also, the fact that this unit will never tip over the way a 700 can (disastorously from what I read) is something that shouldn't be overlooked either. (just picture somebody tripping on your air hose)

As of now - I HIGHLY recommend this compressor. If anything should go wrong, I will update this review.

  2. I bought this compressor to replace a 20yr old typical 2hp 11gal Craftsman. This little compressor is ~80 lbs and requires quite a bit of effort to move around. In my situtation it is not moved often which it works out fine. It is a lot quiter than my old compressor which my grandkids appreciate. It doesn't scare them as much as the Craftsman did. I am not particularly wild about the use of plastic air hoses in it's construction but I'm sure will last longer than I anticipate. Another negative is that you have to access 3 sides: 1) the front panel, 2) the right side for the off on switch, and 3) the rear for the drain valve. Seems to me that all controls could have been placed on the front where the black metal guard is installed. The instructions are a bit vague about break-in but I believe I did the break-in properly. It runs more when using a blow gun than my old one since it only holds about 1/3 as much air. Even with all these negatives I would buy it again. Reasons: 1) quiet, 2) much more portable than my Craftsman, 3) not oil less, 4) has 2 air outlets, 5) 4 large rubber feet so it stays put, 6) uses a ball valve for the drain, 7) gages are rigidly mounted, 8) appears to be very well constructed, 9) air filter seems to be a quality component, 10) changing oil should be easy since drain plug and fill are easily accessed, and 11) it is a Makita which I have had great success with. I read a lot of reviews about compressors but none, in this size and price range, had as many consistant favorable reviews. Unlike some reviews about shipping damage, mine came by FedEX in perfect shape. Not a scratch. Now I don't have the excuse that my compressor is impossible to move. My kids will finally get their houses worked on.

  3. Very impressed with this compressor. It is very quite, builds pressure up fast and it looks great too. I highly recommend it. Follow the break-in procedure.

    Jim

  4. i bought a mac700 and thought it was spectacular but i needed a little more air for a special type of tire system i install for bicycles. I was having trouble with only 2.6 gallons of air with larger tires so, i thought i would upgrade. the mac 2400 is a little louder but is still very quiet. I like the fact that is has 2 connects for air without having to use a splitter. The unit is very attractive and my clients think it looks cool too which, i think, is just as important as how quiet it is as well as how well it works. The larger storage capacity keeps my neighbors happy because it does not turn on as much. If i had it to do over again i would have dropped the extra $100.00 and bought the MAC2400 first. i now have purchased 4 mac700 for clients and i have the mac2400 for myself. Rock and Roll will live forever!!!!!

  5. I know there has been some concern about packaging issues. Mine arrived today and was packed perfectly; padded up in a very strong box. No dents or scratches. The compresor was in a plastic bag in the box. It couldn't move with all of the professional padding. The filter was even packaged separately in a bag. Maybe Makita has been reading the Amazon reviews and fixed their shipping problems.

  1. I have had this compressor a little over a month now. It has been used heavily during a remodel project. It is lite enough to move around which was essential for me. It is one of the quietist small compressors I have been around. You can talk to someone while it is cycling and hear the conversation. It hands down beats any oiless model I've worked with. It has plenty of capacity to handle most all of my needs when it comes to nailers. I have even been using my framing nailer with it. It would not stand up to rapid use with a framer but I do not work that fast as I am usually working alone. I only gave this unit a four star rating because of the packaging. Many of the reviews I read described the packaging as poor and the unit arrived damaged. Well mine was definitely packaged poorly and the plastic motor shroud was cracked. This was purely cosmetic to me and I needed to use the compressor so I didn't bother with it. This is definitely its one downfall.

  2. Just got this compressor yesterday and I've already put it through the paces. I'm not sure if I got lucky or if a disproportionate amount of people feel compelled to write the negative reviews based on shipping damage; anyway, mine arrived just fine. This is quite possibly the best compressor value for less than $200. The build quality is excellent; near Rol-Air quality for 1/3 less. For those of you used to a oilless compressor this one almost sounds like a whisper. For you trim carpenters or weekend warriors, you will not be disappointed.

  3. The compressor arrived from Amazon in perfect condition. I was a bit concerned that it would be damaged as so many reviews had mentioned. Luck of the draw I guess. The MAC700 is compact, quiet and cycles quickly. It is not as quiet as my DEWALT D55140 Heavy-Duty 1 Gallon but close. I bought the MAC700 to replace a PC pancake which screamed like a banshee. Overall, the MAC700 is a well balanced performer, powerfull enough for light framing but quiet enough for trim. The only negative is that it is heavy for its size.

  4. I bought this compressor to replace my Campbell Hausfield 4 gallon compressor. The CH compressor was just too blasted loud; I live on the 2nd floor of a 3 floor condo building, and it would shake the place, vibrate the floors and sound like a Mac truck driving through. So when the reviews said this was very quiet, I decided to go ahead and give a try. It seemed like a good deal for the money. It is.

In a nutshell, here's what makes this compressor a great tool:

    1. It is VERY QUIET. Some small compressors were actually rated quieter, but this is the quietest I've heard and it uses oil. Oil compressors simply last far longer than oil-less. This one even has a glass oil-sight gauge, so just one quick glance to ensure it is lubed. No dipstick mess, and it comes with oil.

    2. It is heavy, so you know it is a solid tool. It weighs more than my old 4 gallon CH! It is easy to carry with the stacked design though, doesn't bang against your leg.

    3. Nice little details, such as the drain valve is opened/closed with your fingers; no wrench required.

    4. Though a smaller tank, it is still 2 HP as many 4 gallon models are, so I guess it just kicks on more often. But it won't bother you nearly as much as most; you can hold a conversation standing right next to it.

    5. I can't believe this is a high-end brand compressor at this price. I would put it up against anything twice the price at any big box home improvement store. Highly recommended.

  5. I was a bit hesitant in ordering the Makita MAC700 compressor, due to a number of reviewers that received damaged units. My compressor arrived with a small hole and oil stain on one side of the shipping carton, but the contents were absolutely perfect. Follow the instructions to set up the compressor - and you will be happy. The build-quality, relative quietness, and specifications absolutely (and literally) blows away the "red pancake" unit seen and sold everywhere. I had one of those X-X brand red oil-free units, and quickly returned it, simply because I could not tolerate being in the same room with it. To appreciate this unit, you likely have to experience the "competition." In this compact compressor class, the MAC700 unit has no competition.

  1. Got this compressor last christmas so haven't had it that long yet, but so far it's worked without a hitch. This is a nice little compressor for trim jobs. It's very easy to carry around because of its light weight. It fills up fast and is rather quiet. Got all new windows in my house and have had to case them all. No problems using my trim nailer with this compressor, it would go on about every 7 shots. I highly recommend this compressor for light trimming jobs.

  2. I was surprised when I opened the box to see a very nice product. It didn't take very long to fill the tank with air. And, Oh I love the sound of the motor (very quiet). I am a woodworker and this compressor is perfect for my projects.

  3. I bought this compressor to avoid carrying heavy 5-gallon compressor after having back surgeries. I'm really happy to have this unit.
It's extremely portable that I can carry anywhere even in the attic.
It also maintains enough pressure for flooring stapler, so finish nailer causes absolutely no pressure problem.
I used to use CO2 nailer for small jobs. After buying this, I don't use the expensive CO2 tank any more. This unit is almost as handy as CO2 nailer.
It's amazingly quiet. Really quiet that normal conversation never get interrupted while it's running.

Obviously this is not for big jobs like using two flooring staplers at the same time. And air pressure leaks out fairly quickly after unplug it.
Fittings are not provided, so have to buy everything. That's an extra cost.

I recommend to anyone who need light duty compressor work.

  4. This is a great little compact unit that fits in my trucks front box. So much lighter than my framing compressor, and for slamming in a few studs or running my pin nailer this was the ticket. It's design for the air outlet is great and the unit with it's low profile is stable. I have a lot of Dewalt tools and the brand has always worked to my expectations, I was confident with this recent addition to my tool box. And with the super saver shipping it was at the door in no time. I'm a bags on General Contractor and when tools don't work neither do I, buy this unit and you will like what you get.

  5. I DO MINIATURE MACHINING AND BUILD TINY STERLING ENGINES. SINCE I AM 100% DISABLED WITH POST-POLIO, I HAVE A "ROLL-AROUND" MACHINE SHOP IN OUR FAMILY ROOM SO I DON'T HAVE TO CLIMB STAIRS FROM THE GARAGE ANY MORE. I HAVE A TWO GALLON AIR "STORAGE-TANK" ON THE BACKSIDE OF MY BENCH FOR CLEARING METAL DEBRIS. I FILL THAT TANK FROM THE LITTLE DEWALT, AND A FILL UP LASTS FROM SEVERAL DAYS TO A WEEK OR MORE. I ONLY NEED VERY SHORT LOW PRESSURE AIR BLASTS. THUS, I ONLY NEED TO FILL THE "STORAGE TANK" ABOUT EVERY 8 DAYS OR SO.

THIS ARRANGEMENT WORKS EXTREMELY WELL FOR ME AS I DO NOT HAVE THE ROOM TO MOUNT THE COMPRESSOR ON THE BACK OF BENCH. BESIDES, THIS GIVES ME A BIT OF NEEDED EXERCISE GETTING THE COMPRESSOR OUT, AND CARRYING IT INTO OUR FAMILY ROOM FOR A "FILL" EVERY WEEK OR SO. NOW, THE PERFORMANCE OF THE LITTLE GUY IS ABSOLUTELY TOP-NOTCH AND QUICKLY FILLS THE STORAGE TANK. IT ALSO HAS A HIGHER PRESSURE CAPACITY (135 POUNDS)THAN MANY SMALL UNITS WHICH GIVES ME LONGER PERIODS BETWEEN FILLS. IT IS PERFECT FOR MY NEEDS AND I AM EXTREMELY SATISFIED.

  1. Because I travel a lot, I like to keep this in my car. If I notice my tires look a little low, I can plug it into the power adapter in my car and inflate my tires. I don't always have the time to find a working air pump at gas stations. We take it on the boat to inflate the rafts & innertubes. Since it also has a plug my son is able to plug it in and pump up the tires on his bike. It's not as noisy as my previous one but it also doesn't seem to inflate as quickly either. One of my tires was really low and it seemed to take a while to inflate it. But being able to set the psi, turn it on and know that it will turn itself off when it reaches the limit is nice. No more trying to figure out if I need to put more air in or let a little out.

  2. Using this product sure beats going to the gas station for air. The pump takes more time per tire than a compressed air pumo (understandably), but the convenience of not having to get air at the station is worth it. The dial pressure guage is not very accurate so make sure you have a standard pressure guage.

I would rate this product higher if it pumped faster and had a better, more accurate guage. But overall, I'm glad I bought it.

  3. Pros:
    - Auto Shut-off at selected pressure (very nice feature)
    - Stays put while inflating unlike small air compressors that dance
    - Cords and accessories store neatly and securely
    - AC or DC power options
    - Quiet (not sure what other reviewers are comparing it to, but it works without a huge racket)

    Cons:
    - Non-compact size - fine for garage; not sure if I'd keep in trunk

Based on my research before purchasing this unit, there is nothing comparable in this price range.

  4. My grandson is moving out on his own, therefore his dad's tools won't be as easlily accessible. He mentioned that he wanted to start getting his own collection of tools, etc. He was very pleased with my gift of this portable air station.

  5. This air station started paying for itself from the first use. With gas stations charging 50 cents and more for air these days, this is very nice to have on hand. Here are some things to keep in mind when using.

    1. You need an extension cord. The unit's cord is way to small to reach around cars and extension cords are cheap.
    2. This has a small piston so it will take time to fill car/truck tires. Bicycle tires fill faster.
    3. Invest in a good tire gauge. There are a lot of good digital or dial gauges that are very accurate. The station has a gauge on top that can be set to what pressure is needed but it isn't completely accurate.
    4. The pumping noise is what should be expected from this small inflator. I have a 12-volt inflator that sounds like a high-pitched mini jet engine so this B&D is quiet in comparison.
    5. The valve adaptor is hard plastic but has not been a problem. It would be nice if they would have used brass but then the price would probably be higher.

The air station works on AC or DC current and comes with car adaptor, ball needle and extension nozzle. At $50 it is hard to go wrong here. If treated right, this little air station will last a long time and pay for itself. Well worth adding to the garage for car, truck, bicycle tires and all those sports balls.
