1 comments about Arnette Matte Brown Havana "Slide" Sunglasses with Brown Lens.
- I've always liked Arnette's leopard print sunglasses - and that's what these are. Arnette's older models were the "Swinger" model, and I loved them - but they seemed to stop making them. Or at least I couldn't find them if they still do. Well, I was glad I came across these newer "Slide" models. I like them better than the old "Swinger" models. The "Slide" is a complete wrap around, which I prefer. They seem to fit better as well.
The lenses are of the same type as I recall from my old Arnette's, which means to say they leave a little bit to be desired as they can scratch relatively easily (and that's why I docked them one star from 5 to 4). But that's not a huge issue - every pair of sunglasses I've ever had have chipped - mostly because of my own shenanigans with them. I've gotten better over the years and now I always make sure I keep them in a sunglass case of some sort (usually soft, since its easier to transport).
In any case (no pun intended!), I really like these sunglasses - so much so that I ordered a second pair just to keep in my car.

- I recently picked up a pair of the Hoven Highway Limited Edition (deep red/black with polarized) and I love em. The color on the limited edition is beautiful, as its part black and mostly a deep, almost blood red that you cant see until the light hits it. My only complaint is that Hoven seems to have manufactured a batch of these with a slight balance problem. They arent 100% straight, and im pretty sure my head isnt crooked! Either way, its very subtle, barely noticeable and does not affect vision.
This is my first pair of Hoven's and I can tell they are of a good quality make. For the money you pay, you get a solid product with a quality 4 barrel metal hinge, as opposed to cheap plastic. The Highway offers an edgy and slightly sporty style, while still maintaining a classy look. Recommended.... especially polarized.
- Took over a week just to ship the item out but arrived quickly after being shipped.
