- This video helped my game 40 pins right away! No wonder Bo is still top in the ranks, he can change with the lanes and he can show you how too! I HIGHLY recomend!!! 4 Stars! END
- This is a must have for any bowler. I've tried several different methods but this helped me the most. He even show you haw to warm up at home before a tournament and how to use a mirror to watch yourself bowl. It really works!

- I learned many things from this DVD. I am a beginner in bowling and average 120 but after seeing this DVD I got a 172 game. Many of the things shown; are in books; but it helps to see it in action. All the DVD's in bowling are a bit expensive but I feel it helped my game.
- I could not find a system in the way this DVD was built up.
They show all kinds of people with different averages (125-220) they watch them bowl, they give them advices then they watch them again. Most of them are doing the same thing after what they did before. I'm a beginner so it may be me but I would expect more for 30 bucks.
- The DVD has a few good pointers but not enough to keep you feeling satisfied. Some of the pointers were helpful yet redundant. There was not enough variety. However on a positive note, Walter Ray and Mark were decent with their coaching.
I only recommend this to bowlers who are just starting and are looking for some guidance on the basic funadamentals that they may be lacking. If you're hoping to learn about how to position yourself according to the lane conidtions, converting spares, how to release the ball properly, this is not the DVD for you.

- Until this date i did not receive this prooduct?
What is happening?
I alredy wrote to you about this problem an d i am waiting for a solution

- Covers the game from beginners to advanced bowlers. Excellent learning tool.
- As the title says, this DVD addresses only the very basics and essentials of bowling. Too basic perhaps... I found it useful only to beginners. Similar information is readily available on the Internet for either reading or watching as windows media files.
If you consider this DVD wait before ordering. A much better alternative is Beyond the Bowling Basics, a detailed review of bowling techniques; from very basic to advanced, by Bohn III and Angelo. All the information of bowling essentials has been covered in a much more detailed and organized way on Bohn's DVD.
- This DVD has very good basic pointers for improving your bowling game, but the presentation could have been more engaging. I purchased this item to assist Junior bowlers in improving their game and correcting bad habits. It was clear enough for them to understand, but had a difficult time holding their attention. They were quickly bored.
- I am a complete novice in bowling, and this video really helped me to properly start on the game. The instructions are introduced in a very structured manner which can really help a beginner. Yet, it is a good tool for reviewing one's progress in the game.
There are a lot of tutorials that one can find on the web, but no online tutorial video can compare to the "Essential Keys to Better Bowling." Happy bowling!

- I sat down and watched this movie and found myself saying......what a Jackass! The name of this film is so appropriate that I could not stop laughing. It's a one trick pony but, it is extremely funny and disgusting at the same time! I found this DVD for under $5.00 and it was worth every penny with all the extras included. I give it 3 1/2 stars for making money out of being a total Jackass!
- Jackass: The Movie
Jackass: The Movie is made up of all the dumb, mindless pranks you'd expect of a college fraternity without any adult supervision.
The movie including the DVD is not without merit, however. If you have an annoying neighbor with teenage boys this might make an ideal Christmas present. You'd want to give it anonymously, of course.
Sure there are warnings throughout the movie DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME. You and I both know that a teenage boy is going to ignore those and try them anyway. That's where the anonymity comes in handy, Nobody can sue you.
Highly recommended for people with annoying teenage boys as neighbors and for any teenage boy you just don't like very much.

- KNowing what to expect coming in, "Jackass" fullfilled all my expectations and also surpassed them. For those who don't know, they film is a string of short stunts by a group of very brave/foolish skaters who are constantly testing the bounds of their own destruction and torquing unsuspecting bystanders in the process. Imagine the old "Candid Camera" show on PCP. Yeah, way cool!
The first scene made me fall in love with the concept when Johnny Knoxville with a straight face tries to return a trashed rental car he's just used for demo derby and ask earnestly for his deposit to be returned.Other highlights are "mobile roller disco", the human mouse trap and some of the stupidest(but funniest)destructive and dangerous concepts you will be glad someone else is doing.
Editing is great, the director transitions from stunt to stunt without trepidation or hesitation. I could have watched another hour of this without tiring.
- It's true AND it rhymes. Top that. Of course there will be another. Why kill a cash cow that takes almost no money to produce? It's money in the bank. Mooooooooooo. Cha-Ching!
I freely admit I, a college graduate who loves to read and watch foreign movies, thoroughly enjoyed Jackass. Sure, I was dead drunk when I watched it but, still, I died laughing. This movie is Idiocracy, here and now. Watch the Mike Judge movie, Idiocracy, to see what I mean. What is the difference between the television show "Ow, My Balls" featured in Idiocracy and Jackass? None. Also notice the raptness with which "Ow, My Balls" is watched by the movie's character and consider the popularity of the Jackass series. Hmmm.
A bunch of crazy-as-foxes goofs humiliate and torture themselves for your viewing pleasure. A lot of reviews opine that these guys are a bunch of morons. Nonsense. They are wildly creative, impossible to embarrass and daring. We pay good money to sit on our couches in the comfort of our homes and point and laugh. Who are the real morons? Like, duh. Johnny Knoxville is a multi-millionaire actor/writer/producer. What have you or I accomplished recently?
Johnny Knoxville and co. are taking advantage of the fact that suffering sells as long as it's cloaked as wacky stunts & comedy. People like to watch other people be hurt and humiliated. They just do. Who knows why. Maybe because pain and humiliation are inevitable in life and misery loves company. Whatever. All Knoxville and his buddies have done is take an Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey comedy and taken out all the plot and characters and sets and any anything else that might be the slightest bit distracting and served up an entire highlight reel of jokes and stunts. In doing so, they and their audience make an invaluable contribution to the dumbing-down of America. Congratulations all around.
- Sigh, it's finally happened: the generation gap thing. I NEVER trash something that's primarily aimed at younger people and doesn't resonate all that much with me; I can usually find something to like about it. But "Jackass: The Unrated Edition"? Okay, I'll start with something positive. SOME of this movie is amusing and entertaining: the rental car that's returned after Johhny Knoxville enters it into a stock car race and trashes it thoroughly; the "old man" (one of the "Jackass" guys in make-up) who is caught shoplifting in a convenience store and keeps on shoplifting even after he's caught and repeatedly yelled at, and one or two other things. But too much of this movie is just gross and/or stupid. Maybe that's the point, I don't know. But wincing at numerous scenes of self-mutilation and self-induced vomiting wasn't fun or entertaining but, well... wince-inducing. But too each his or her own. This unrated edition contains a longer cut of the original theatrical release of the movie, as well as more extra scenes among the special features. Knock yourself out if this is for you-- it's certainly a generous DVD. But I think I'll go watch something else now.

- This is an excellant movie. It doesn't go through the steps of bowling rather than what a pro bowler goes through. Much props to them and those that are keeping it alive. I don't watch much of the alternative sports on tv but will keep an eye out for the tour from now on. This movie is worth the purchase and don't keep it to yourself, share with your friends. They might laugh at first but thank you later.
- I've been a huge bowling enthusiast for a long time now and I think this is was one of the more enjoyable documentaries I have seen in a long time. Watching the PBA on both ABC and now ESPN, it can appear to seem much more glamorous (yes I realize for most people to use "glamorous" to describe bowling might be inappropriate)but the reality is that it is very, very lonely.
As of current, Walter Ray Williams, Jr, Pete Weber, and Chris Barnes are all professional superstars and I believe all in the legitmate running for the Player of the Year. It was so interesting to see the behind the scenes struggles for each.
And then there is Wayne Webb, a very tragic story of a man who felt like he was owed more from bowling. I felt the movie captured perfectly his disdain for the new evolution of the sport.
Anyway an excellent insight into the business of the PBA and its champions.
- Be warned, I like watching bowling. As someone who used to bowled but could never break into the 200 average class, I am fascinated to watch the pros in action.
This tells the story of how a marketing guru tries to recreate the pba tour together with sponsorship and television coverage. There are no punches pulled when it comes to the difficulties of resurrecting a sport that has fallen on bad times. And it is interesting to see how, from a business angle, they went about doing this.
But the best part of this dvd is the insight into the lives of a few pro bowlers who were very frank about their lives and about their hopes and thoughts about the new venture. At the end of the dvd there is some interplay between two rivals (Walter Ray Williams Jnr and Peter Weber) and a showdown on the lanes to provide a fitting end to the film, but it is also fascinating to see into their lives, how they live, how their families cope or in most cases do not cope with their spouses on tour most of the time.
There are some good clips of past experts - not enough for my liking - but better than nothing.
I miss the old tournaments like the Firestone of Champions and I am not sure that the current pba has got the formula right to make the sport attractive to sponsors and advertisers. But if you like bowling and like to watch the pros in action and also want to see how it feels to be a pro bowler away from the limelight and the final day, then get this dvd; some very human stories here. One bowler describes how from a very young age he decided to make his living at bowling and how bowling seemed to be a permanent fixture in the sports arena. Now he feels cheated as this 'permanent' fixture has disappeared and his life to date seems completely wasted. A familiar story, not only in sport, but one told here with some honesty and openness.
- Wow this really brings back memories of my past, can remember when on Saturday afternoons came around, we all went to the TV and watched Pro Bowlers Tour on ABC, and great to see someone try to bring back the times of the bowlers who give their all to not only make money for them and their family but also the ones who didn't know how to handle the money they did make during that time, only thing I wish now is the the present PBA would do is show the winnings for each week now, and try to get bowling back where is should be.
- There is a film company which makes only documentaries; its motto: "Everything else is just fiction". It is amazing how compelling documentaries--even documentaries about bowling--can be.
This film chronicles the renewal of the floundering Professional Bowlers Association tour. Three Microsoft employees purchase the PBA for 5 million dollars. They breathe life into the organization by hiring a foul-mouthed, Ironman executive, re-energizing a cocky bowling celebrity, and reinvigorating an aging bowling legend. Together they lead the tour back to the land of milk and. . .well, not quite. They all agree, bowling is not the sport, the pastime it once was in America in the 1960s-70s.
Remarkable, what is in this true tale: bluster, victory, chutzpah, loneliness, defeat. . .and lots of fat people.

- This DVD is extremely well-done, with detailed discussions of equipment, physical/mental preparation, ball delivery, reading & adjusting to lanes, and making spares. Parker Bohn's presentation style is also excellent -- very clear, relaxed, and engaging.
Equipment discussions have useful information for everyone from beginner to expert, and cover everything from proper fit for a ball (whether conventional grip, semi-fingertip, or full fingertip), shoes, peripheral/extra equipment (e.g., finger inserts, wrist supports, tape, rosin bags, etc.).
The spare-making section was especially well-done, and includes very detailed diagrams, discussions, and demonstrations for all the common leaves. Importantly, this is shown for both left-handers (by Parker Bohn III) and for right-handers (by Brad Angelo).
Also valuable were the "fireside chats" between Angelo and Bohn, during which they discussed many things they have learned over the years that have made the biggest difference to them.
I absolutely recommend this DVD to bowlers of all skill levels, whether you're just starting out, or have been carrying a 200 average for years - there's something in here for everyone.
