  1. This DVD has 3 levels, where level 1 is 20 minutes and levels 2 and 3 are 10 minutes each. Level 1 is lead by Jillian and has some great strength moves and incorporates with some yoga moves. Level 2 is lead by Kim and she does great muscle blasting moves. Level 3 is lead by Bob and has his boot camp moves. Like in the Boot Camp DVD, this one allows you to choose what level you want to do and the order of them. I like doing level 2 then 3 then 1.
One small criticism that I have is on level 1 - Jillian sometimes takes so long to explain what you're about to do that you end up just standing/laying there waiting for her to be done with the explanation. However, after doing the workout several times, you know what's coming up so you just start doing it without waiting for her.
I think a beginner would be fine with this DVD, just take it slow and easy at first, listen to what the trainers say about which muscles are being used and the form and you'll be fine.

  2. I have both Power Sculpt and Cardio Max. I really like both DVDs and find that if you combine them or alternate them, they work the best. I find Kim a bit annoying but she does the best ab workout of the three on Power Sculpt. I do have to be really careful on Bob's Sculpt level 3 because of the plank moves he does...they hurt my lower back. However, that being said, if you want a serious workout in only 20 minutes, try doing Jillian's level 2 Cardio Max coupled with Bob's level 3 Power Sculpt. It left me lying in a heap on the floor, and I do mild/moderate exercise 5-6 days a week. You will definately feel this when you are finished. Jillian's level 1 sculpt isn't that hard, but to increase the intensity all you have to do is add more weight. Also, I find that the workout is harder if I really focus on the muscles I am using and stay really tight and in control throughout the workout. All in all, I am really glad I have this DVD and Cardio Max, and am planning on buying 2-3 more Biggest Loser DVDs very soon. Try this and you won't be disappointed!

  3. That dvd provides some good exercises but I expected more.. I love the exercises with Jillian and Bob. The ones with Kim are good but she sounds sooo boring and not motivating at all.

  4. Love these DVD's! I just got the regular shipping and it came in about a week (maybe a little more). Very happy with the service and product. Thank you.

  5. It's good - just follow along & try to keep up.....I am recovering from major surgery - it is helping me get back in shape

  1. For someone who doesn't like exercise - this is it! A bit of time in the morning and you are good to go for the day.

  2. Great workout. I love that it's just Leslie. I have 5 other Walk Away workouts and prefer her alone. Hearing the other walker's stories day after day gets old fast: "this walker is a grandmother, this walker is over 50 and has lost 20 pounds, this walker is in his 70's, and etc". The first time you hear the stories they are encouraging. But after several months... not so much. I enjoy the workout better when Leslie stays on topic.

  3. I have Fibromyalgia and Osteo-Arthritis. I been living in CONSTANT PAIN for 16 years now. I been trying to find some kind of exercising that I can actually handle. The thing here is that I get bored EASY if I do only ONE routine, so I have a Exercise DVD folder with a collection of DVDs. Most of them are from caring family members who tried to help me but I am not physically able to do these exercises yet. I haven't been able to walk 3 miles in years without resting frequently. The first time I tried this DVD I pushed and pushed myself and completed all 3 miles much to my surprise! When beginning any exercise it is key to PACE YOURSELF! I believe that Leslie's workouts provides ME with the space to workout at my pace. If I only want to do 1 mile in the morning then that is all I do. If I am well enough to do 2 or 3 miles then I push threw! I am looking to purchase more of her videos. I did recommend this video to one of my dearest friends and she loves it as well! I would recommend this video to anyone.

  4. My husband & I have so many of Leslie's walk at home DVD's. Leslie makes it fun to workout with her. Although we love Leslie, sometimes you need to mute the little Darling so you can focus. Nonetheless, she's a wealth of information. In the beginning try not to mute often because you might miss out on the tips, coaching, info and her postive spiritual attitude about life. I've worked out w/ others and felt like I was in the military, worked out with them for a month and quit. Working out with Leslie, Mary Kay, Carol, Linda and the rest of her group is really like working out with fun friends. I reduced inches all over my body, eating healthy, and feel great. I've been with Leslie and her group for over 1 year, use her DVD's 5x's-6x's a week. We wouldn't trade her for the world!

  5. I have 5 other WATP DVD's with Leslie and this is by far my favorite one yet. First, I like the pace. It's a faster tempo than some of the other workouts and so it feels like I've really accomplished something. Also, Leslie is much better about letting the audience know what is coming next and then doing what she says she is going to do. On some of the other DVD's there are times when she says one thing and does another.

I love the workouts when Leslie is alone, like this one, because she gets so giggly and sappy when she has a group. She'll giggle a lot, call people love and doll. That's not for me, so this one is great. She has only one giggle episode with herself and when it happens, she admits she loves to giggle.

Leslie explains why this is a walk for belly fat. She explains that belly fat isn't burned just by floor crunches, that fat is burned by aerobic exercise, which is why this standing routine still burns belly fat. Without the walker even realizing it, he or she is working the abs through the standing crunches and ab rotation that are part of this workout. The short floor exercise at the end is just an add-on to an already great workout.

My only disappointment with this DVD is that the music is not loud enough. When I turn it up louder, Leslie still drowns out the beat sometimes. I like hearing the music so that I can keep up the pace without having to stare right at the TV.

I recommend this workout for anyone with limited time, limited space and and anyone looking for an easy to learn routine without fancy confusing footwork.

  1. Holy cow! I haven't danced since college and this totally brings back memories! Ha ha ha. I had a riot doing this workout and it was tough. My legs, upper body, and abs are all worn out and feel good. Great way to get in shape. I Highly recommend it.

  2. This dvd is definitely hip hop dancing. I just ordered it and did it right away. The other reviews made it sound like the greatest thing. It was sort of fun - very different than other aerobic forms; however, the 3 segments just don't seem like enough variety to keep my interest up and make me want to do this dvd again any time soon. If you like Zumba - many moves are similar.

  3. Great dvd. Galardi's enthusiasm is infectious. I would say the intensity level is just about right for someone who is in decent shape, but hasn't been conscientious about exercising. I do wish her warm-up was a little longer and included stretching. I use Karen Gayle's Street Fusion for warm-up and isolations, then switch to this for the aerobic dance.

  4. I like the steps the instructor has in this dvd. For the price it was good. Not much in the way of cardio, or at least it didn't feel like it. My hips and feet felt it more than anything else, but I did work up a sweat. It's not something I'd do day after day. But it is good to mix in with other work out dvds.

  5. I enjoy doing this lively and diverse exercise routine. I think it is fun and painless, which means I don't feel any aches and pains the next day.

  1. This group of videos is FANTASTIC for people who are over weight and out of shape. I was 256 pounds years ago and tried everything u can think of to lose weight (videos, diets, diet pills). Most videos that I tried where the kind when u worked out to them they were so draining that u didnt want to do it again the next day. I then discovered these videos years ago and I couldnt believe how it keeps u coming back for more and the results are wonderful. I now weigh a 140 pounds (5'8 inches tall) and I still work out to different videos of Richard Simmons (Disco Sweat is a good one as well). I lost most of my weight to this set of videos (with a diet of course) and would recommend it to anyone.... Try it ...... I enjoyed it and still do.

  2. Richard Simmons is so silly & fun, and his exercise videos don't have all these skinny gorgeous young models who have NO need to exercise. He makes his videos with real people - including some old & fat & ugly & all - so you don't feel stupid klutzy old fat or ugly when you use them. ! And of course, he himself was once quite fat, so he's genuine & self-depreciating. I just love him. And if you are a baby boomer, you know all the songs & danced to them once anyway, so it's easy to want to dance to them again !

  3. Great fun I had these on VCR but had to buy dvds realy enjoy the work out.

  4. I had bought the VHS years ago. Decided to get in shape for my trip to Cancun. Purchased the DVD package and have been Sweating to the Oldies for about a month now. He really gives you a good workout. I'm 45 and it is perfect for me. I even have my husband and 23 year old daughter sweating with me. It's great for all ages. Each DVD works you out in different ways..Love IT

  5. Always liked Richards sincerity and he really cares about over weight people. Great tapes for beginners.

  1. I liked this video for the first few days but I got to where I couldn't stand to hear her. I also didn't like the same moves over and over.

  2. I love this workout for when I have some extra time. It's great to go through the whole thing, but the individual miles are also good- each one ends with a bit of jogging. This is one of my favorite Leslie videos.

  3. This is my first DVD from Leslie. Although I find her motivating, I could do without her silly laughter, it's annoying. What I wonder about is how they calculate the distance? I could not find an answer anywhere. In comparison to a machine (set to 5.0 to get a 12 minute mile) this seems too easy, way to easy! I did sweat at the beginning of Mile 4, but still wonder..5 Miles? I would really like to get that answered.

    Wilma

  4. Great video and super price.
Took a long time to arrive with super saver shipping.
Happy overall as usual with Amazon.

  5. This workout video is a real fun one. I wondered how they could fit 5 miles into such a short time, but the "boosted" intervals of light jogging were not difficult and sped things right along.

  1. This was the first Biggest Loser exercise DVD that I ever bought and also my favorite. It has 3 levels where level 1 is 20 mins, level 2 is 15 mins and level 3 is 10 mins. Levels 1 and 2 incorporate bursts of cardio to elevate your heart rate and burn more calories. In level 3 a resistance band is used, although you can use weights too. The cooldown incorporates yoga moves that make you feel great after a workout. What I love about this DVD is that you can select what workouts you want to do and the order of those workouts. Personally, I love to do level 2, then 1 then 3.
I should say that the former contestants in this DVD are sometimes a little off in terms of their form or what they're supposed to be doing and that could be a little distracting. However, after doing the workout several times, you know what you're supposed to be doing so you end up ignoring that.

  2. This is a good tape for toning up and building endurance. I use this tape every day and my results speak for themself.

  3. I am not a person who enjoys exercising... at ALL. I am a busy homeschooling mom with 9 children, but after loosing 30 lbs last year I decided I really wanted to 'tighten' :-) So I picked this up at a local store, after being inspired by the Biggest Loser show, which I have not watched before this season. All I can say is WOW I must be SO out of shape even with all the little people I carry around because after one attempt at doing HALF of the first part of the beginner segment, I hurt so bad I could hardly climb my stairs to go to bed. I hurt terribly for 3 days. 2 weeks later I decided to try again, this time doing half of the reps, but doing each exercise and walking in place while I waited for the next exercise. I have found I am not nearly as sore, but really break a sweat, I am working on building up to full beginner status. This is the most amazing workout, it keeps me WANTING to exercise.. a new concept for me... And I love Bob as the trainer, he's motivational, funny, strong, and makes me want to be strong.

  4. Love these DVD's! I just got the regular shipping and it came in about a week (maybe a little more). Very happy with the service and product. Thank you.

  5. I LOVE this video!! It definitely exceeded my expectations and helped me drop the last 5-pounds I was looking to lose, did it in 2-weeks with the video!

  1. I barely got through level 1! When i finished I was sweating like crazy and I never sweat. This video is definately going to have me bikini perfect by next summer!

  2. This is not a normal DVD in home workout, you sweat! and the next day you can really feel it, its great!!! I like to follow this with the body sculpt for a complete workout!

  3. This is my second Biggest Loser workout DVD and I think I might be hooked on them. The Cardio Max is just what it promises--your heart will get pumping and the sweat will start pouring as you move through a variety of cardio exercises.

Level 1 is led by Bob Harper and he does a great job of teaching the movements and encouraging you along. The cast's form isn't always the best--watch Bob not them!--but its nice to know there are other people working alongside you. Level 2 is a quick 10 minutes with Jillian Michaels. Its tough because she moves FAST, but the exercises get changed up quickly so the time flies by. I gave the DVD only 4 of 5 stars because Level 3 wasn't really a Level 3 to me. Compared to Jillian's Level 2, Kim Lyons' Level 3 was like a cool down. Its nice to add 10 more minutes to the workout, but it isn't any harder than the other two levels. Which maybe I shouldn't complain about...

All in all--a great DVD that keeps me excited about working out.

  4. I waited and waited before I bought this workout dvd, I finally bought it and I was glad I did it is wonderful, especially the 10 mintues with jillian and kim I would recommend this to everyone who likes to workout.

  5. I didn't really expect to actually work me the way it did. Its really difficult at first, but keep at it and it gets easier. Bob keeps you interested enough to keep at it. I loved it.

  1. I love Julianne which is why I bought this DVD. I love to dance and thought it would be fun to workout mixed with dance. I danced for many years as a girl, however, I had much difficulty following her dance moves. I don't consider myself to be uncoordinated, and have never really had a problem following a routine, but this one didn't work for me. It lacked instruction, moved very fast and I found myself frustrated in short order. Julianne is an incredibly talented dancer, but I wish I would have left this one on the shelf.

  2. I love this video it is sooo much fun and it does not even feel like you are working out but the next day you can feel it.

  3. If you don't know how to dance...don't do it! I truly have no idea or any education of any ballroom dancing and this workout did not help with that. I think everyone loves to "dance," but this is truly dance. I thought it would be something fun and different but this workout is very fast-paced with little instruction on the moves. It is definitely for someone with advanced knowledge of dance moves. Tried it once and now it's sitting on the shelf!

  4. This workout is fun and definitely useful. Perfect for beginners too because Julianne helps through the dvd and her upbeat attitude really encourages you to keep going! Fun, easy, and it works! I would recommend it!

  5. I really do love this workout video..
I don't regularly watch DWTS, but I thought since she was so famous for being a dancer from there, that I'd get this video.
    Best choice I ever made.

I feel healthier than ever, and I really do enjoy this workout.
It always makes me tired, but the best part is that you can just pause, drink some water, and resume the video!

I am now getting more "well-sculpted", and having fun while I'm at it.

I'm the least coordinated person ever, and sure, I may not be doing all the moves perfectly, but this is a workout video, and i'm burning tons of calories (the results are already showing!) and feeling super well.

Julianne is such a pleasant workout video host, and she's very inspiring!
I'm never going to get tired of this fabulous workout dvd.

I look better, I feel better, and I had fun in doing so.
Buy this DVD and you will not be dissappointed :D

  1. I really like this workout. I can see the results after doing it a couple of times a week for two months. Jillian is great!

  2. This is a serious workout! It includes a warm up, 4 tough circuits involving both muscle toning and aerobic / cardiac training, and then a cool down. It is not beyond the capacity of a beginner, and yet it is still very challenging for the highly experienced and fit. Jillian is unrelenting, and at times can be condescending. However, the workout is worth it (and there is an option for just music!). You are guaranteed to sweat and feel it the next day...and the day after...

  3. I bought this dvd after doing the 30 day shred and no more trouble zones. This is a killer. I've been doing it for 2 weeks, I have already lost 5 lbs. This is a crazy hard workout. I recommend this to anyone that wants to see results. This will get them for you.

  4. Working out with Jillian is awesome! If you are ready for hard work....and ONLY if you are ready for hard work, then buy her DVD's. I have all of them and LOVE each one! None are the same at all, and each will kick your butt! However...YOU need to make that happen. It's your intensity that will make it work. So if you are a "fluffy trainer type" person, then you probably won't like Jillian.Although she does talk about beginner moves and promotes doing the easier moves if that is what your body is telling you what to do. She also helps encourage you to give it your all. She just a "tells it like it is kind of gal" and helps push you to be your best. No half assing it. It's YOUR workout she says...you buy the DVD, you do the work. Each of her DVD's have different routines, but the message is the same if you want your outer shell to be hot, then you also need to work on your inner shell, your mind & nutrition have to be in the game with you as well.

Jillian Rocks! Great intense workouts in all her DVD's and in her Biggest Loser DVD's. Good Luck to you!

  5. I have been doing the 30 Day Shred for about 2 months now and have seen great results (have lost about 15 pounds and a lot of inches). When I get tired of doing the Shred or want to mix it up a bit, I'll do the Banish Fat, Boost Metablism DVD. I really enjoy that there are no weights involved and that it is mostly cardio. I find the exercises fun, and I'm able to get through the entire DVD without having to stop, which is nice. Of course Jillian still kicks my butt and I'm left panting and sweating!

I really enjoy doing this DVD and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun but challenging workout.

  1. Five days into using this DVD, I can already tell my body is changing. Jillian really put together an intense DVD, full of moves that are going to kick your butt into shape. This is really not for true beginners (plank rows?! REALLY? I have to do HOW many?!), but I thought it was awesome. When you've finished it, you really have a true sense of accomplishment. An hour of intense, crazy stuff leaves you sweaty, hot, and feeling like a million bucks. BUY THIS.

  2. This is a tough workout. But Jillian is very encouraging and motivating, and she is not too perky like so many fitness instructors. The workout consists of basic but extremely effective exercises. There's no crazy jumping around, and you don't get frustrated if you're not flexible enough or quick enough to pay attention to the moves. But you feel the burn. Oh my goodness. But it's worth it because every time I get through this workout, I feel amazing. Jillian is my hero.

  3. Phew! This workout is just what I needed. After 3 years of dragging myself to the gym sporadically, I decided to start working out at home instead. I picked up this DVD after reading online reviews and WOW! I'm feeling good! I have been working out more consistently than ever, and I'm definitely seeing results. Jillian incorporates "old-school" mat work (stuff I remember seeing my mom doing at Gloria Stevens in the 70s) and weights into a dynamic routine that will have you pouring sweat and cursing (always a good sign).

I appreciate a good challenge (see my review of "10 Minute Solution: Fat Blasting Dance Mix") and this workout is perfect for that. After having this DVD for a couple of months, there are still things I have to really push myself to do, such as the plank exercises, and every time I put the DVD on I say "I'm going to do this even better today than I did the last time".

I love Jillian, she is good at explaining form and she's a great motivator. However, one caution is that she doesn't seem to count reps. It doesn't bother me, but you may find that annoying if you like to stick to an exact count. And if you are the type who needs to rest a bit between circuits, be advised that this workout is basically nonstop and not for the faint of heart. The goal is to burn as many calories as possible, so once you get on the Jillian train the next stop is not for about 40 minutes. That is one of the many reasons I like this workout--I know that it is effective and I'm burning calories and fat. If you decide to get this DVD, you will not be disappointed!

  4. I've done a lot of strength-training before and the first time I did this, I was gasping for a break. But as time went on, it got easier but it doesn't broach challenging. It's a great addition to a rigorous workout and I bet if anyone is looking to lose weight or tone up quickly, this on top of some serious cardio and good diet will get you there in no time.

  5. I've done a lot of workout DVDs and Jillian Michaels' are by far my favorites. I don't need to lose a lot, maybe another 7-10 lbs, but really wanted to tone up. I started with her 30 Day Shred and just received her No More Trouble Zones, which I did for the first time yesterday. OMG! I have NEVER felt the effects of a workout like this, and I LOVE it. My obliques are even sore, which is so reassuring that I've actually worked them! I was dripping sweat by the end. I can't wait to do it again!! And I am excited to see how I'll look and feel in a few weeks. HELLO SUMMER!
