5 comments about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

  1. I put a lot of time into researching treadmills and their relative cost because my room mates and my girlfriend all felt I was crazy in the first place for considering one on my budget.

I knew the treadmills at hotels & gyms had spoiled me, because I had no interest in a flimsy model that offered little support and lackluster features. I also knew there was no way I could afford a $3,000 gym caliber treadmill. I felt this was the best compromise and I have not been disappointed with my decision.

The delivery was prompt, but it went no further than the bottom of the outside stairs to my 2nd floor apartment. Thanks to previous reviewers, I expected this. I can tell you that I weigh 160 lbs. and my room mate is about 210 lbs. We're both 26 and carrying this behemoth up a very steep and angled flight of stairs between us was nothing short of miraculous. It cost him a severely bruised big toe. I would recommend no fewer than 3 healthy and reasonably strong individuals to attempt this.

We have neighbors below us, and hardwood floors, so noise and protection was a concern. I had purchased a "heavy duty" extra long mat which helped protect the floor, but was not enough to muffle the inevitable thumping sound. I purchased an additional set of interlocking foam gym floor pieces that I placed over the mat and I found the two together made it as sound proof as we could manage within reason.

Assembly is never fun, and this was no exception, but given the size of the item, it was relatively painless. Thankfully, one of my room mates is an engineer, so between the both of us we managed it in under an hour.

I have had the treadmill for a few months now and I am very pleased with its overall performance. It is relatively quiet compared to some of the other models I have used. The range of features meets and exceeds my needs. I have not noticed the general knee/ankle discomfort that can come with a worn/low quality treadmill so far. I generally run 3 miles 3 times a week. The display is a bit illogical in some regards, but having to wait a few seconds for the distance to show up again in the cycle of calories, time, and pace is hardly a make or break point for me. The fan is underpowered and close to useless, but I do feel a slight breeze and I suppose I probably would not want a powerful fan blowing in my face the whole time I ran anyway.

That it is able to fold up quite easily and still feel as solid as a gym model is a testament to its construction. The flaws are minor and the performance is a deal at this price in my opinion.

  2. We purchased the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill to help us with our exercise routines. We did lots of research, and this one rated very highly. We have not been disapointed with our purchase. Between my wife and I, we use it to run about 5 miles a day, and have lots of great things to say. It is solid and doesn't move around. The motor is very strong, and doesn't even flinch when I use it (at 205 lbs). The instant speed and incline buttons are great! The width and length of the belt are fantastic, and even at 6'4", have never felt like I was running off the end of the belt.

The down sides (which are minor, but worth noting) include the following: If you change your program in the middle, there is no way to back out without turning off the machine. If you are tall, you can't see the display that shows where you are on the digital "track". The pre-programmed speeds may not be for everyone. For instance, in program 4 (Fat Burn), the "jog" speed is 4 MPH, which is too slow for a run, but too fast for a comfortable walk. The "run" speed is 5, which could probably be a little faster. The fan is a good thought, but underwhelms you. The machine is big and heavy - so, unless you are really comfortable "hefting" things around, you might want to pay to have the machine delivered to its final location.

Delivery occured in about 7 days. They called the day before to arrange a delivery time, and actually showed up at that time.

All things considered, I would rate the machine and our purchase experience an "A".

  3. I replaced my old treadmill with the series 7, what a mistake. The customer service is non-responsive to your needs. The machine is in my den collecting dust and I am now using my old treadmill. If you want a treadmill buy one from a local dealer that will service and support the treadmill. Save yourself a major headache, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

  4. Yo'

Rocky wish he had this tread mill!

Maybe he could have worked out some of that bad acting out of his system.

Library quiet, smooth as a bambina's thigh.

Run like an Italian Stallion on this trainer.

  5. I like the treadmill but it is not as user friendly as implied in some of the reviews. To make any change you have to get out of the program and restart. It is also hard to read the settings scrolling across the front. It can freeze if you try changing speeds or heights too quickly.
However, the most disappointing element of buying the treadmill was the delivery. Nowhere did it say that it was "curb side delivery". And this is exactly what the shipper meant. I had to find someone to get it from the curb to my town house and to bring it up the stairs to my house. By the time I paid for the extra service I could have gone with a treadmill in a store and had it delivered and assembled for me. Lesson learned... beware of what you order when the equipment is heavy or large or not shipped directly from Amazon. Amazon also needs to update its shipping site to clarify different delivery options (if any are available). When I contacted Amazon I received the following answer: "The shipper will bring the package to your address, and take it off the truck, but it will be your responsibility to bring the item inside." I was told if I cancelled the order at that point I would have to pay a shipping and restocking fee.

5 comments about Edge 500 Manual Treadmill.

  1. I really like the Edge 500 Treadmill. It was a snap to put together. One thing I did to make storage easier was to leave off the side arms. This way I can place it up against the wall without them sticking out. I find that the front "handlebar" is enough to hang onto. So far there is no trouble with the tread tracking to one side or another. Also, the "computer readout" seems to be working fine.

There is more resistance to walking with this than the traditional electric treadmill. But I count this as a plus. I figure I'm working a little harder so I can cut down on my walking time to get the same exercise.

This treadmill is perfect for this time of year for me in Tampa where during the summer it is way to hot and humid to go walking outside. I just pull it up in front of the TV and go to it.

If there is a complaint it would be that the wheels are a little small. Sometimes when I move it to put it away they seem to bind up. But it still slides without any problem. I can live with that. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

  2. The Edge 500 Manual Treadmill is a good value for those interested in a basic treadmill. It assembled easily and doesn't occupy much space. However, the belt often sticks while you are walking throwing your pace off. I purchased this item for my wife since I belong to a health club where the tredmills are electric and provide a constant pace.

  3. This thing is great! I was looking for something inexpensive, sturdy, and affordable, that I could fold up. To be honest, once I had this put together (which was fairly simple) I didn't really want to fold it up. I really love this treadmill; it is certainly a great workout and it's entirely self powered which is so convenient (just get on and go).

It's really not loud at all when you are just walking on it (all you hear is the sound of the belt moving which isn't loud). You can easily walk on it and watch TV at the same time with no trouble hearing and it doesn't wake anyone up if I'm on it while they're sleeping. The only time it gets a little loud is if you are running fast on it.

I LOVE to walk, and it's how I get most of my exercise (it's one of the few exercises that isn't a drag to do) but weather conditions and outdoor allergies don't always allow for long walks. With this I get plenty of exercise and I really enjoy using this machine; and there are absolutely no excuses not to jump on and use it.

One last note; I know a few people have had issues with their digital readers (which I wasn't all that concerned with because that's not why I was buying it) but I haven't had any problems at all with the digital reader on this, it works just great.

  4. My first Edge 500 broke within a few days. Something broke off inside and began to rattle loudly whenever I took a step. In addition, the belt walked itself over to the right side until it jammed against the side of the treadmill and refused to budge. Customer service was very helpful and cooperative, sending another treadmill promptly. Having foolishly discarded the first box, I returned the product in the box from the second treadmill. We "greased up" the second Edge 500, using its recommended product, and aligned the belt, again, using its product. Within 15 minutes it began to whine and squeal with a sound which only increased in intensity while the belt rapidly walked itself over toward the right, as the first Edge 500 had done. We just cut our losses and hauled the thing over to the Salvation Army donation center. You truly do get what you pay for.

  5. I've always stayed away from treadmills because of the size and the expense, but this turned out to be my dream! It was easy to assemble, it's just the right size for my average height, and I love that it takes up very little space. I can get a great workout in 20 minutes in my own living room. I hate to exercise, but now I find I'm exercising more because it's ready to go, any time of the day. The customer service reps were great when I had questions and had to replace the console, but it's been working since. I enjoy the fact that it's up to me to burn as many calories and walk as far as I am able at my own pace. I've been very happy with this purchase.

5 comments about Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill.

  1. First of all, I'd like to thank Amazon for such a good (though a little confusing at first) return policy. I didn't have have to pay return shipping for the 60 pound package, which was nice.

The Good: Sturdy construction. The only real gripe in this area is the tool included to adjust the belt tension strips and ruins after a few turns. I though it was the adjusting screws at first, but it was actually the head of the hex key that stripped.

The Bad: After 30 seconds on the machine, I could tell that I either needed to stop immediately or have back pains for the rest of my life. I don't have a bad back, at least not yet. The problem was the machine wasn't adjustable to my height. On this treadmill, you MUST hold on to the handrails unless you want to fall off. Because I had to hunch over to feel like I wasn't going to lose grip and fly off, I could feel muscles in my back start to tense. And it wasn't a good "oh yeah, feel the burn" kind of tense. Nay, it was the "oh crap I should have listened when they said to lift with my legs" kinds of tense. I'm fairly tall (6'2"), so if you were a tad shorter it might not affect you too much. I'd be careful, though.

I'd recommend a powered treadmill because the design of this machine requires you to keep running so you don't fall as the belt slips under your feet. That's what it feels like to me, anyway. If you're on a tight budget, I'd recommend either mapping out a nice route on Google Earth for a daily jaunt through your neighborhood. Or for those who just REALLY don't want to get out of the house, try looking into an elliptical machine. They start just a little more expensive but I think they're a smarter design. They're basically exercise bikes that you stand up for.

  2. I think this is the first time I have written a product review. I am very pleased with my purchase. I have been wanting to purchase a treadmill for a long time, but $1k just seemed to be too much for a student budget, plus, the hours that I have to exersize are usually early in the morning or later at night. Considering the dangers of working out alone in the dark outside, I have been puzzled as to what to do. I didn't want to buy a gym membership and get locked into paying something for 2 years (when moving is coming up in my future)and it would be difficult to motivate myself to drive there, etc. So when I found out about the manual treadmill, I jumped at the chance to own it at a decent price. I ordred the Stamina InMotion II and have used it a number of times. I set it up alone and have enjoyed the rigors of using it. It has built my endurance and helped me begin to lose weight I have carried for years. I highly recommend it to anyone who desires to get into shape or keep in shape. There is only one thing that is even close to being a bad thing about this treadmill, and that is on one of the handles, the holes for a screw didn't align to where it could be screwed in place. It doesn't bother me, though, since it is in a place that little to no pressure is being placed...it is probably just a factory defect on my piece alone, so I don't think it should be a reason not to purchase this treadmill.

  3. I bought this treadmill because I don't have room for a massive, professional size treadmill nor did I want to spend hundreds of dollars. Because of the price I was expecting a very pared down version - just the basics - and that's what you get. It's not difficult to put together and it feels very sturdy. It folds up like a dream (very compactly) and is light enough to move around if you need to. The manual treadmill action takes a little getting used to and you just have to assume that it will take a few tries to get the belt to settle correctly without drifting, but once adjusted properly it seems to stay put. You can really only walk on this treadmill - it's not really designed for running as you have to hold on to keep it going. But this is good. The manual action requires a little more effort (not tons but a little) through the legs and hips and since you have to hold on to keep your body from moving backward (the treadmill is at a slant for the manual action) your arms get a light workout too. After only a few sessions I started noticing real firming in my legs, hips, rear and arms.

My only real complaint is this treadmill is pretty loud. I'm going to try some silicone spray to see if that quiets it down a little. As it is I have to crank up the TV super loud to be able to hear it while I'm working out.

But all and all, the price and quality of this product make it an excellent value. I'm very happy.

  4. Had a little trouble getting the darn thing, was sent the first time without the hardware, but as usual Amazon handled the whole problem with no problems had the bad one picked up the new one delivered. It calls for two people to put it together but I did it by myself....and I'm a 60+ female. Works very well. I'm very pleased with it, for the money you can't beat it.

  5. I've had this treadmill for about 3-4 months now, and wow. It's great, easy to store and move and works well. I use it while watching TV in my bedroom. I've already lost 20lbs! If you don't feel like going to the gym that day, use this manual treadmill instead! It's a great price and a great product. I'm 24 and female and put the treadmill together on my own in about 30 minutes. Very nice product! Highly recommended!

5 comments about Sole F80 Treadmill (2008 Model).

  1. I researched many of the same brands that were listed in prior reviews and decided to go with Sole F80. I ordered directly from Sole, since they're not sold in WA state, and the closest Dick's Sporting Good store was in OR and to far to drive too to look at their floor model. I did call them and the F80s were sold out. When I ordered my F80, it shipped the next day, with free shipping & no taxes (at least for WA state), and I got it within a week.

We assembled it within an hour, the instructions are not the best, as others have said, but we were able to figure it out by looking at the diagrams in the manual, but make sure to read through the manual for safety instructions. We set it up in the garage and our garage floor was not level, so we put a shim on one side to level it, and after that it was rock sold. It really is a solid piece of equipment! I wanted something solid, with a good warranty, good deck, quite, didn't need all the bells & whistles - that some other brands offered, and this treadmill more than exceeds my expectations.

I have RA and can't believe how much better my feet feel after a work out on the Sole F80, unlike my old treadmill where my feet would throb really bad afterwards. I'm 5'1" and the fan works great for me, I just tilted the vents inward all the way. The motor is super quite, compared to my old treadmill. My husband, who's 6' 2" with long legs, got on the treadmill to see how it fit him and he had no problems walking or jogging on it, but for someone who's tall like him, with long strides, they might consider the F85 with the longer deck.

As far as Features, other reviewers have already written about it, so I won't dwell on it, but it has more features than I'd ever use. I'm pretty simple, I hit the start button, set my speed & go, and I do use the incline, which I love. It's amazing how time flies on the Sole F80.

The only criticism I have, is with the speakers, they could be better, but again I wasn't looking for bells & whistles, so I won't mark off for that.

  2. This is my first treadmill so I can only compare it to the ones I've used at the gym. There is absolutely no loss in quality compared to the gym ones. In fact it's a step up because the electronics are newer, I can keep it better maintained (and cleaner), and I can finally work out at my convenience with no one waiting for me to finish, wear anything I want, watch the TV channel I want -- I'm sticking to my routine a LOT more now that I don't have to make a big production of it. SO worth the investment.
I did some research before buying and the SOLE has lived up to its reputation. Very good quality for walking or running.

  3. Sole F80 Treadmill (2008 Model)

I tested this treadmill out at Dick's Sporting Goods before purchasing and I am very happy with it. I've had it for a month now and I run on it 5 days a week, 3 - 5 miles each time. It feels sturdy and strong, and even though the running deck isn't as long/wide as a gym treadmill it is still comfortable to run on.

The fold up/down feature is nice, although lifting it at first is quite heavy. Once you get it going it is pretty easy. Folding it down is really easy - it pretty much folds down by itself.

I only have a few gripes about this treadmill:
    - there is no number pad on the display. There are 6 preset speed buttons, if they aren't the speed you desire you have to continuously hit the up/down buttons to get to the speed you want. You can get creative by hitting the speed button closest to the speed you want to go and then hit up/down from there. A number pad would be nicer.
    - the built in fans are not meant for a short person. I am 5 feet, 0 inches and the fans do not rotate down enough. They seem to aim right above my head.
    - the workout time on the display only counts down. I know this is really picky, but every treadmill I've ever run on the time display counts from 0 to the programmed time (which also usually allows you to keep going past the programmed workout time).

Those are my only gripes. I would still purchase the treadmill because of the quality and price.

  4. I couldn't have been more pleased with the Amazon process - from price to delivery. The SOLE F-80 took about two hours for me (age 69) to assemble. It is so quiet compared to our old treadmill. The F-80 features are well organized and I like the redundancy of controls. It is an extreme pleasure to exercise on every day.

  5. I posted a bad review on this product a few months ago and I see it was removed by amazon along with another persons(see the forums section of this product) Shame on Amazon. I rely upon aleged unbiased reviews when evaluating products...If I see this review is removed as well than I will have to contact a consumer advocate group. Ok onto the product review. This treadmill was a problem right out of the box. It felt studdery and was very noisy.
Sole customer service is awful. They dont return calls and when they do finally send a tech it is not someone who has ever worked on a sole product. You need to email them thru their website to get any response.
I have had 3 service calls to fix this treadmill and finally after probably 10 emails and 10 phone calls it has been fixed.
I had to have the belt replaced, the treadmill serviced(lube and belt adjustment) and the torque control adjusted. Techs were at my house a total of 6 hours. I am happy with the product now...but the service is some of the worst I have ever experienced.

2 comments about Weider 200 VKR Strength Power Tower WEBE0914.

  1. The Weider power station performs well. I have just two issues, one of which I resolved myself. The first is that while doing dips, the station is a bit unstable. I remedied this by bolting it to the floor. It still sways a bit but it is tolerable. The second issue is that I wish the backrest for the leg raises was a bit higher. Overall both these issues are minor at best. I have used the power station for about a month now and am very happy with the results.

  2. The Weider 200 is available through Amazon, but for $149.00, delivered, Bayou Fitness offers a better deal. The 200 is rugged, solid, and is rated for persons weighing up to 300 lbs, compared to 200-250 lbs. for similarly priced units.

I already own a Weider Max (i.e. Crossbow), which I'm happy with, but I wanted something that would allow me to do pull-ups and the captain's chair exercise. I hate doing crunches, and a study by the Biomechanics Lab at San Diego State University ranked the captain's chair as the most effective exercise for working the obliques and second most effective for working the rectus abdominus. The 200 works well for these and related exercises. I don't use it for pushups, but the awkwardly placed lower crossbar could be a problem.

Time from order to deliver by Fed. Ex. Ground was about 10 days. The instructions are straightforward and assembly took about an hour. As with the Max, the instructions state a rubber mallet and two people are required for assembly. The mallet is unnecessary, and never again mentioned in the instructions, and I had no difficulty assembling it by myself. You will require two wrenches and a screwdriver, however.

Another reviewer commented that it doesn't take up a lot of space. I suppose the concept of "a lot of space" is relative, but the 200 isn't something that, like the Max, can be folded up and stored against the wall or in a corner. It's pretty big, and moving it to a different room will require partial disassembly, so plan on assembling it where you intend to use it.

5 comments about Smooth 5.25 Folding Treadmill.

  1. This is a great treadmill! It is very easy on the knees & has a great walking bed on it. I have extreme RA & I am able to uss this with no problems.

  2. The Smooth 5.25 treadmill is great for home use. It seems to be very sturdy and it's pretty quiet. We don't use it for running, but for moderate walking exercise it is fine and we are very satisfied.
Be prepared to get some help when it's delivered because it weighs 200 lbs. and you really can't break it down into smaller parts to get it in the house. All the weight is in the base with the motor and negotiating stairs are a bit of a challenge. 2 strong adults are required.

  3. I've been using this treadmill for 6 months now. I love it. My experience with the product has been A1, beginning with a phone call to the company to ask questions, to the delivery, set-up, and through 6 months of use.

The treadmill is very responsive to inputs for changes in speed and angle of inclination. I use maximum incline and speeds up to 7mph. The noise is not obtrusive. If I'm watching television, I have to increase the volume about twice normal; for me that's acceptable. I have had no problems at all with this product and highly recommend it.

I did the set-up myself, which means taking the treadmill out of the box and attaching handle bars and a few other finishing pieces. Two people are strongly advised, however. The manual was incorrect in a couple places, so a little mechanical aptitude is necessary.

The computer functioning, usability, and readouts are excellent. I recommend seriously considering this treadmill.

  4. Our last attempt at physical fitness was with an stationary bike. After an initial flurry of activity, it became an expensive clothes rack. We have had the treadmill for two months. I cannot explain it, but we use it regularly. The machine has functioned perfectly, except for the pulse monitor, which is not at all accurate. The various exercise programs make working out efficient and offer variety. Hopefully our resolve to get fit will give this fine machine an endurance test over the course of time. We cannot say that we put much strain on it, since we are relatively small people and we tend to do power walking rather than running. The treadmill was shipped promptly and arrived quickly. The assembly took about 1 1/2 hours. Oh, and if a clothes rack is needed, it functions much better than the bike for that purpose. A machine made in heaven.

  5. I recently purchased the 5.25 after doing the required research in trying to determine the best TM for my needs and my dollars. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase of the 5.25. It arrived in a timely manner - two weeks after ordering - and the freight men moved it upstairs (definitely the best $25 I have spent in a while, as this is a heavy unit/box).
I bought the 5.25 for two reasons: 1) the strong warranty, and 2) its weight and size, as we didn't have room for a larger TM and I was thinking about when we would have to move it when that time comes. I also liked the Sole F63 and could have bought it for $100 less, but it is a few inches longer, 50 lbs heavier, and the deck may be a bit harder than the Smooth. However, there are things about the Sole I prefer.
Some reviewers, around the Net, mention that the 5.25 is best for walking. While I do that more than running now, I have found that this TM works just fine for an 8 minute mile - very solid at its weight of 195 lbs and very strong with the 2.5 hp motor. It is also fairly quiet in its operation, at least compared to an old Vitamaster that we had been using for about 4 years.
My complaints have to do with the console and readouts. First, they are quite small and in black, and therefore not as easy to pick up when running. What I really dislike is the fact that the MPH and Distance alternate back and forth on the same readout: MPH for 15 seconds, then Distance for 10 seconds. This makes it hard to determine your actual time for a mile or two. Secondly, I dislike that the Distance does not come in hundreths, but only tenths. This makes it near impossible to check your time on quarters. Even the old, probably 15 years, Vitamaster had separate feeds for MPH and Distance, and it showed hundreths for distance. Also, the console is way too large for the actual size of the computer read-out screen making most of it superflous and an obstruction for viewing a TV. That is a minor irritation.
Set up was relatively easy and instructions were good. Again, however, I found the directions for using the console/computer in need of clarity.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the Smooth 5.25. If the console was improved to give a better and brighter reading of the figures and there were two separate windows for the MPH and Distance, along with hundreths, I would give this unit 5 stars.

5 comments about Sole F63 Treadmill (2008 Model).

  1. O.k. I have done my jogging outside in very hot and cold weather. I've run 2-3 miles to a marathon. I've lost weight and gained weight. So I was like you looking for a treadmill to get back in shape. Read all the reviews on Amazon, went to the various treadmill web sites, treadmilldoctor, sole.com, etc, visited the stores and looked dorky testing them out there too.
I finally decided to go with the Sole F63, the one I purchased was through Dick's Sporting Goods and I got the second floor delivery -it was included (buy the delivery into your home-no matter what this is a beast to lift). Putting it together was no problem and the operation has been perfect.
I use it about everyday for an hour. I'm a heavy jogger and I can say without a doubt this is a great machine. I use both the adjustable levels for speed and inclines and no complaints. This is a quiet machine even if this "tubby" jogger is on it.
I live on a second floor of an apartment and it is solid and does not shake.Regarding the price and my research on treadmills I can say it is true you get what you pay for $1000 bucks is a lot but it really has gotten me back in to the groove of running again.
I rarely right reviews but I want to share this because I too was looking for someone to say, "hey, this one fits your needs and will grow with you". Hope this helps.

  2. Nice treadmill. Not too difficult for one person to assemble. Power cord was not included in box and customer service person was not good. Told me she'd overnight the cord but didn't to it. Needless to say, it was several phone calls later and a little over a week until I got a power cord to try out my new treadmill. Disappointed in customer service response but product seems good.

  3. great treadmill for those looking for a solid treadmill for modest workouts which won't break the bank.

  4. I've had my treadmill for about a month, and so far I have absolutely no buyer's remorse at all! I don't know how it would be as a running treadmill, since I only use it for walking and use the incline to make the workout more intense. I paid the extra $ to have the delivery people set it up. They got here when they said they would and set it up perfectly -- no complaints there! I'm having a lot of fun with my new toy and getting fitter besides. Even the MP3 player speakers work better than I expected. BTW, although I'm a female under five feet tall I have no trouble lifting up the treadmill to fold it as long as I use proper lifting technique.

  5. i bought my sole from amazon about a month ago. got it in within several days (although i was prepared to wait for a 2-week delivery), managable installation (took me and my boyfriend ~1 hour to have it set up). works well, the only thing i was really disappointed with is the noise level.

it is supposed to be the 'whisper drive, quietest motor', but it's not. it's a great treadmill, but i guess it works best if you can stick it in the basement of your own house. I live in an appartment complex, there are people below me, and i'm pretty sure they can hear my exercise equipment quite well. not even me jumping on it, but the motor itself. sounds pretty much like a vacuum cleaner. i actually had a technician come in and replace the motor (the waranty is quite good about that) to see if it changes the noise level, but it did not. it seems like that's just how they are supposed to be.

the pictures of the girl running on the treadmill while the the guy is watching TV right next aren't true - it is not at all that quiet. so when you go to Dick's to try it out before you order it online (like i did), be aware of the fact that it's one thing how quiet they sound in a huge open space of the crowded store environment, and how it's going to be in your way smaller bedroom/living room/basement.

other than that, it's a great threadmill! :)

  1. Good for a walking workout if you prop it up to lessen the incline. Not for running or for tall people, and you do have to hang on or you'll slide off the back. Easy assembly, quiet. The readout scrolls regularly through the time, calories and distance, so you don't have to keep pushing buttons, but you can only reset it by popping the battery out. For the money and for my purposes, I'm satisfied.

  2. This is what I expected. I did not want an expensive treadmill. I wanted one for my living room that I could put away when people come. I wanted to get on for short workouts many times a day.I wanted my son to be able to put it together easily, he said the tool and parts were nicely marked. I wanted less incline so I propped up the back with wood and it works.I get plenty of workout.I like the timer, I don't need more.

  3. This treadmill was more difficult to use than I expected. It was easier walking on the ground than on this. I would jog to make it move faster, but sometimes it just stays there. I didn't take the trouble to buy lubricant because I assumed it would work properly and over time, will be easier to use, but I was wrong, so I had to return the product which was difficult in itself since I threw the box away. I had to get a new box which was first rejected by UPS then I had to buy a new box again. It was difficult to use and also difficult to return.

  4. Initially I wasn't too pleased with this product. One of the bolts was the wrong size so I wasn't able to assemble. There was no manufacturer phone number or email in the manual, which was even more frustrating. But a clerk at my local hardware store helped me figure out the problem, which was solved with a 17 cent washer. His comment: "Poor quality control." Once that hurdle was jumped, assembly was a snap. Because of other comments here, I didn't even bother putting together "the computer." They really call it that--you'll laugh when you see it. But if you're looking for a cheap way to get in your exercise, this is it. Buy lubricant, too. Mine got sticky right away, but other than that, it's working fine and definitely a great bargain.

  5. I love this this treadmill, it is perfect for a quick workout....
fits in a corner, completely out of the way. I love the fact that
it was so easy to put together, and use....it's a really nice piece
of equipment for the price. heavey duty! sturdy!

  1. we love this treadmill.
handles 220lbs at a full run! make sure you have 2 big guys to move it..

  2. I have only owned this treadmill for three weeks, but so far I would have to say it is excellent for the price. It runs quite and smooth. All programs work fine. It folds up easily and takes up little space when folded. Also having a fan is a good feature. I would highly recommd this treadmill.

  3. I have had my treadmill for about a month now and I love it, all of the functions are great and it was increadibly easy to assemble. I reccomend to anyone looking for the quality of a gym at a low at home price.

  4. This machine was well packaged. Instructions were very well explained and I put it together myself with no help and no problems.
I plugged it in an was ready to go. Everything seemed to work okay but the fan. It wouldn't do anything at first. It was late at night so I thought I would try the next day and call the manufacture if it still didn't work... I surely didn't want to tear it apart and take back to the store. It was very heavy and I had to have two guys carry it into my house for me.
Calling the manufacture is a nightmare. No one answers and after about 40 minutes on hold, I ran out of time and gave up. We called the store and they said they couldn't do anything, I would have to bring it back. So we started disassembling it and noticed that where the fan was, the screws had been removed and it looks like some grinding was done to the back panel also ~ clearly looks like it is a refurbished treadmill (that probably had a fan problem already). The box looked like it came directy from the manufacture. Sure would have been nice to talk to someone from the manufacture.

  5. 1. Packaged great, well protected. They called ahead and arranged a delivery time, even came in the snow.

    2. Best instructions and hardware packaging I have ever seen! Each assembly step has its own hardware bag, so you dont have to figure out what is what. Assembled by myself in less then 30 minutes. It took longer to get it out of all the packaging then put it together.

    3. Outstanding performance and features, super quiet, and the programs are actually challenging instead of so easy you never use them.

All in all, a great treadmill, and so far we are very happy with it. We researched a lot prior to buying this one, and we are glad we got it.
