- If you are a pro wrestler, your going to drop about 100 bucks if your are lucky on some kickpads...these work perfectly for wrestlers, the padding also adds support to whomever you're working with. With many spots comes risk of potato's that wrestling jargon for stiff shots or non pulled punches. This will help soften that. Also able to work about boots, shoes and other footwear underneath. Remove the front patch with a thread seam ripper and you have perfect wrestling kick pads. For MMA its also perfect, when they say for 50% you can haul off 70% and the pads keep impact low in training so you can get a good guage on your power. Also you can wipe them off afterwards since the are pleather and not fabric so theres no smell. Buy these.
- I have been looking for kick pads like this for quite some time. I received these the other day, and when I tried them out I knew this was a good decision to buy them. Great construction. I was using them for a couple of hours and they didn't start to rub the top of my foot causing a burn like some of the previous instep guards I've tried. I definitely will be purchasing from Piranha in the future. 5 Stars All around.
- Its a great product well worth the money. The are tight and very comfortable. also when you start sweating they stick to your leg like glue which is good. I am impressed alot. Also piranha had great shipping times. I got my product on time and in a timley manner i am very impressed. I recommend these to anyone wanting that hyabusa style shin instep for half the price with the same quality this is really good. The best bang for your buck.
- Very comfortable, fits like a glove. The protection pad seems pretty strong too.
The only bad thing for me is putting it on, but it ain't too bad.
Would buy it again, definitely.
- These shin pads are amazing. I can't tell you how many people have complimented me on my shin pads. They are exactly as advertised. Some reviewers failed to read the product description and have complained that these pads are snug fitting. That's the point. Most pads twist all over the damn place. These barely move. That's why they are great for grappling. I've had mine for about a year now, and I've actually used them regularly to kick people. They still look almost new. And for the price? Forget about it. You just can't beat these. Get them. Get now.

- I've worn these for sparring 3 times so far and they work well with the stnd-up as well as the ground game. They seem as durable and I haven't had the problems others folks spoke about with the elastic.
If you're wearing shoes, you can use these without the elastic around the foot, and wear them just like a baseball catcher. If you're bare footed the elastic works great.
- I am usually pleased with Everlast quality, but it was not the case with these. The stitching between the shin pad and instep pad started coming loose fairly quickly. They still have not separated, but they are well on their way. The band on the bottom of the instep guard is almost completely off on one side. They get a solid amount of use, but they had disappointed on the amount of wear. The amount of padding is good and pads themselves work well, but they are falling apart at the connections. Put your money into something else.
- Steer clear from these shin guards. Elastic foot strap detached after 2 uses. Very low quality item. You get what you pay for. Opt for Twins or Fairtex instead. You'll be glad you did.
- Overall these guards are well put together. I had the same problem with the elastic breaking on the instep, but I was also wearing shoes (so I expected it). A triple-stitch completely fixed it, and I wear them with shoes no problem.
In terms of padding, they're some of the best I've used. They can takes kicks very well, without leaving you with huge bruises all over your shins. All-in-all, I'd recommend them, but be prepared to re-attach the elastic strap on the instep if you plan on using them with shoes.
- I have been using this product for close to a year now, but I have only been able to continue the use because of alterations I have made. The first major problem I encountered was the metal clips you put the straps through continued to bend and eventually would slide out of their loop. This was a continual pain having to fix them during sparring sessions. I eventually turned all of the clips so that the metal opening was facing outwards and tapped them so the metal wouldn't bend and the strap couldn't slide through the hole. I little confusing, sorry. The second problem I had was with the instep. The minute someone attempted to grab my foot during a kick and grabbed the shin guard instead the strap for the bottom of the foot broke. I used duck tape all the was around the bottom of the foot to fix this problem. Don't buy its just not worth it, especially for the cost.

- This product is excellent. I like using it under my strap around shinpads for extra protection or I like using for grappling. Either way i love this product and it doesnt take up any space in your gym bag. The shipping of this product was very fast and i am happy with this product.
