  1. The bow came and was what I expected, we have used it for several weeks now, I have 12 and 10 years old bows who have no problems with it and a 7 year old daughter who is almost able to manage it. The arm guard and finger guard? are both cheap - we don't use them - neither really necessary with this bow. I would recommend getting more arrows that are another couple inches longer for adults and older kids.

  1. No where on this bow are the product trademarks of "Bear" the manufacturer. Instead, it is labeled "Crossfire by AIM". Sounds like false advertising.

  1. I love it. It could not have been better. When the time comes, I am going to order another one from them.

  2. This is simply a good bow. Mine came in with a little heavier pull than I ordered, by about 5 pounds. It comes in a very small box...it is very short and takes up very little space when taken down. It fits in an arrow quiver with the arrows. It shoots very straight with a variety of arrows and is not at all spine sensitive. It will handle a 700 grain "clothyard" arrow as easily as it will a light carbon.

Now for the big question...is it fast? The answer is, yes. How fast I don't know since I didnt clock it, but I am confident that it is faster than either of my long-bows or my old, Bear recurve from the 70s. I am satisfied.

  1. Be sure, when you get the bow, to adjust the rubber grip downward. The arrow rests on the top of the grip, so you want the grip placed slightly below center. Unfortunatley, I kept it how it came, with the grip placed in the center so my arrow would be slightly off center. Low and behold, more stress was placed on the upper half of the bow due to the incorrect grip placement, and the fiberglass splintered as the arrow was drawn back (this occured after firing several shots). When I adjusted the grip correctly(just pull on it) the bow became more powerful and accurate, and I was quite satisfied. The splinter doesn't look fatal, and can be taped over. Just heed this warning! The bow itself is good, and comes with one string (which is becoming worn). Really, the only problem is the grip, which must be moved.
