1. Unless you have a giant head [or ego] this may be all the helmet you need.
   
   Fits great, is light enough not to turn you into a shoe-gazer by the 4th inning, keeps the sweat out of your eyes and you won't cringe every time you need to toss it aside to make a play.
   
   You can save the $[...] extra that you'd pay for the flaming skull paintjob, the "team-color" that won't match your next team's uniforms or the bragging rights for spending too much on your gear- use the money for some batting-cage time or hire a real {NSCA or ACSM certified} personal trainer or catcher's coach to help you PLAY BETTER.
   
   Remember- it's HOW YOU PLAY not what you own. Be a man, not an equipment slut.

1. After making adjustments for a few minutes it fit nicely on my daughters head. Because of the elastic straps, it also fit well on my son's head. The padding looks tough enough to last for years and the welded assembly looks like a good quality job. This mask should get the job done for quite a few years at a very reasonable cost.

1. I've been searching for safetgard sliders for two years to replace my daughters' old ones. I have bought and returned (or eaten the cost) many inferior makes during that time. I finally thought to contact the company and they told me about Amazon for sports gear. Just in time--I was about to go to foam dog bedding and duct tape to repair the old ones. These are the best and the only ones the girls like. The velcro makes a huge difference in fit and stability. I don't know what the other reviewer was was saying about size. My 5'10" slender but not skinny 16-year-old wears the small. My 5'5" 140 lb. 14-year-old powerhouse wore a large, but I've purchased her medium in the both the long and short version. If they don't fit, I'll revise this.
   
   PS--This is the only product review I've ever written. I'm just recently appreciating the convenience of the amazing Amazon.

1. Fair price and easy shipping. Not too much to rave about, because the product does what it should, elastic and fabric has held up through numerous slides.



2. Once I received the correct size of this product from a different company after I returned the wrong size [...] sent me I found out with my daughter whom they were bought for that they are great sliding/knee pads for softball. Not impressed with [...] since I ordered a Medium and they sent Small and then after I returned them it took over a month to receive a refund.
