- it was a little frustrating putting it together, ok quality,if you are looking for something that will do the work and don't want to spend a lot.
- I really like this bike. I like that it shows me how fast I'm going, calories spent, distance, and time. It runs smoothly and makes very little noise. It was sort of easy to put together. The only thing I don't like about the Marcy is that the backrest jiggles, and I can't seem to tighten it up, but that could be my fault. That jiggling doesn't affect the bike's performance at all. It showed up at my door almost instantly! I am a Prime member so I get orders within 2 days, but this recumbent bike was here in 1 and 1/2 days.
- I suppose you get what you pay for. It's pretty easy to put together, I did it by myself, only having trouble with the resistance cable. The tools that are supposed to be included were not. I read in another review and can confirm that no matter what bolts you tighten or how much you tighten the seat down when you really start pedaling hard the seat shakes and makes noise. The calorie display is way off (which isn't really a big deal to me.) I bought this so I could alternate my running (I run everyday) but I find myself still running the majority of the time. My 12 year old son really likes it though.
- The instructions clearly state 3 tools are included. I only received one, the allen wrench. I called the company and stated the tools were missing and they said they would send them priority mail. Never came. Called back, then I'm told there's a mistake with the packaging and those tools are not included. So apparently I need to go find the appropriate tools to put the dang thing together. The bike itself is probably fine but it p*sses me off to no end that this company...1. gives different answers at different times and 2. cant provide the 10 cent tools that would allow me to put the bike together.
- This is a great product for the money. It is sturdy. Relatively easy to put together. Had a little trouble with the cable but then I put it together myself (it can be done). I left the side handle off to save space and its not a problem. The seat is very comfortable.

- This bike is absolutely perfect for those looking for something very simple and affordable. I had zero difficulty putting the bike together and I am highly mechanically challenged (and I cannot spell so sorry in advance). The bike runs very smooth, silent and stabilized. I recommend this bike for someone that needs something small with moderate settings; being I am super out of shape, even the "easier" settings get my heart rate going nuts. I am 5'2" with short legs so, for me, the seat adjustment worked just fine, however someone with longer legs may have issues since the bike is so stout and compact. I personally didnt need an expensive, massive bike with 50 settings and programs; just something to exercise with while watching tv. The only negative I can think of is the seat is a bit uncomfortable but maybe it is because my bottom is so big. :)
- I researched a number of exercise bikes, and ultimately decided that I wanted one without the bells and whistles of the $400+ models. This bike perfectly fits the bill, given that the computer accurately tracks miles ridden, calories burned, time, speed, etc. My husband assembled it without any trouble. Tension is easily adjusted, as is seat height. The bike is relatively compact, and fits in the corner of a room without being obtrusive. It's lightweight, so it can also be easily moved. For anyone who is interested in staying in shape at home and doesn't want to pay a hefty purchase price, this is a great option that's truly fun to ride.
One note: the product I received is actually turquoise and white, not black and white (as seen in Amazon's pictures), and reads "Cory Everson" on the side rather than "jamz FITNESS."

- Very happy with this unit. I read many of the reviews and was a little worried about what I was buying. While the box it was shipped in was a little banged up, everything was there and in good working order. This unit was replacing my Life Fitness cycle and I found the Schwinn to be quieter as well as having a smoother and more uniform rotation while pedaling. Only thing to watch out for is the height of the handle bars. I am six feet tall and my knees just fit under them. If I was any taller I think there might have been a problem.
- Great solid bike that is silent, as far as the bike goes more than I expected. It is soundless no clicking noises smooth operation. My opinion is the people that have clicking choppy bikes are either damaged or assembled wrong somehow. I was expecting some noise but I can't hear anything at all except a very slight motor noise on tension changes. I bought the bike to ride while I watch movies and this has worked out great.
I was 6' 240lbs when I bought this bike I have long legs and I clear the handle bars at any adjustment setting. anyone having clearance issues have giraffe legs, the handle bars and the seat both adjust towards and away from each other along with the seat height adjustment. I'm down to 220lbs now but the bike was solid and sturdy for me at 240lbs no side to side movement at all. I'm guessing people having balance issues ride like the person in this video or haven't tightened the fasteners. [...].
Seat seems hard but being as big as I am I not going to complain about it If it's still uncomfortable under 200lbs I'll just change it out, seat mount has a standard bike seat post so any bicycle seat will fit it.
About SHIPPING WOW cheapest cardboard I have ever seen along with Styrofoam as solid as a cotton ball. Box was severely mutilated with about 3" of one corner completely missing. Cardboard is so weak you can poke your finger through anywhere you choose. All the styrofoam inside was broken into baseball sized pieces or smaller. I figured there was no way the bike would work and I'd be doing the return dance. Only damage in the end was to a slight break in the joints of the main plastic cover. Everything else wasn't touched.
Conclusion: I love the bike, Silent, solid if you tighten the fasteners completely and ride like a normal person. I gave 4 stars only because of the packaging Schwinn really needs to look into the quality of the materials.
- We bought this bike not knowing what to expect. This bike has gone above and beyond our dreams. First off the bike is beyond quiet. You simply can't hear it. We did have a weird noise from the pedal that another customer wrote. A simple removal and screwing the pedal back on solved that instantly. Second, we love the options that came with this bike. For the money I defy you to find a better deal!
- Schwinn 130 Upright Exercise Bike I assembled this bike this morning and it was EASY and I usually HATE to assemble things. We have a Schwinn Airdyne but I don't want that much of an upper body workout, so I decided on this model after MUCH shopping around. The Schwinn name is one we already trusted from previous purchases. The bike is so easy to use and it's absolutely SILENT! It has a very sturdy feel. The seat is easy and quick to adjust, so my 11 year old daughter used it after I did. We're going to put LOTS of miles on this bike! And-- maybe the best part-- Amazon's price blew everybody away!!!
- We bought this before we read the Amazon reviews, and I was a bit surprised at them. We saw it at a couple of sporting goods stores and tried it out several models before deciding to purchase one. Several were cheaper in price and felt so in construction. My husband is a TALL man, and this was one of the few that didn't see too top-heavy when he was on it. Also, some of the other models were so poorly designed that his knees hit the handlebars while peddling.
Assembly was easy. I have Rheumatoid arthritis, and I was able to assemble it with help only on the seat area (couldn't get the bolt tight enough to keep the seat from moving on my own).
There has been none of the "knocking" that one user reported on ours, and the programs/control panel seem to function properly.
It is very quiet to operate, and could probably be used in a room where another is sleeping.
I must agree, however, the box it came in is more suited to a toy cycle. It was raining when it came and by the time it got from the truck to the front door and in the foyer, it was literally falling apart (made it easy to get the parts out of it, though).
While my experience is still new with this item, I must say that it is a positive one (just not with the box).

5 comments about Schwinn Wide Ride Pedal (1/2-inch).
- If you only use your Airdyne with arms and legs, these are great pedals. You will get a good workout pushing and pulling.
If you want a workout with just arms, there is a problem. They do not have enough ballast built into the bottoms, and can spin around without feet in them. That ballast is supposed to keep the pedal upright, but the strap hits the floor, causing the bike to jerk and move.
I put a piece of two by four under the back feet to raise the bike enough to fix the problem. I wouldn't have to do that if they had put in more weight.
- I bought a used Schwinn Airdyne Exercise bike and it came with the regular, bicycle type, pedals. My foot would slip off or I would have to constantly adjust my foot position while I was working out. These new pedals hold my shoes in place and I'm able to ride without slippage... They really make a difference... I love them!
- I purchased these pedals at the time I purchased a Schwinn Airdyne bicycle and glad I did so. The pedals that came with the Airdyne were small and very narrow. These pedals being wider and having an adjustable strap were a huge improvement. They are however a bit difficult to adjust.
I would still recommend these pedals as replacements to anyone.
- Before purchasing these pedals, my feet would slip off the pedals when I started getting up some speed. Now I can continue my workout without constantly starting and stopping.
- First, these went on my Stamina 15-0200 InTone Folding Recumbent Bike (which suddenly got more expensive - should be closwer to $140 as it was when I bought it) and fit okay (I thought they were too small at first, but then I tried re-installing the original pedals and they fit exactly the same).
The original pedals were horrible in most any way that mattered:
(1) too small (in the toe-to-heel direction)
(2) too narrow (for the width of my foot)
(3) no strap over the foot
(4) light grinding feeling when spun (but hardly noticeable while riding)
The Schwinn's are excellent in comparison:
(1) Quite wide (plenty wide for my 4E width feet)
(2) highly adjustable - the strap can attach at two different widths in addition to having many different length adjustments on each side
(3) smooth spin (not perfect, but clearly functional)
(4) nice groove in the middle for barefoot pedaling (probably makes no difference with shoes on though).
The only downside is that while barefoot, the angle of the back of the pedal makes it easy to force your toes out (away from the bike) and your heels in (toward the bike). This probably isn't great for your knees over time, but there are also advantages to having this angle so not a serious complaint.
Something to consider - especially with the Stamina 15-0200:
The pedals are "tall" in that they reach close to the floor as you pedal past 6:00 - I had to bend the long side of the strap into the bottom of the pedal to prevent it from rubbing the carpet during each rotation. Overall though, not a problem since you can easily adjust them.
I say get them! Anything that keeps you on the bike!

5 comments about Stamina Pro 15-5300 Silent Magnetic Resistance Upright Bike.
- I had read reviews about the bike being wobbly, or difficult to put together, or not having the ability to select a display other than scan. The bike I got had very minor shipping damage which does not appear to impair the bike's performance, or its useful life. The bike's four floor pads are designed so that if it wobbles, simply rotate the floor pad to eliminate the unwanted movement. The electronics are simple to operate, and yes, you can choose which aspect of your ride you'd like to moniter. (ie. time, distance, calories burned, heart rate, etc.) I am 5'9" and weigh 240, the bike is a good fit for me and supports me sturdily as I ride. If it weren't for the shipping damage, the bike would be perfect.
- This bike is decent or the price. It works quite well - the range of resistance is pretty good and the heart rate monitor is decent so long as you keep your hands on the monitor points for at least a minute, otherwise it starts over trying to evaluate your heart rate. The main part of the unit is pre-assembled and the remainder isn't too difficult.
The person complaining that the tension control does nothing probably didn't follow the instructions to hook up the tension cable during setup, and to everyone complaining about the display cycling through the various readouts: just hit the "Mode" button! This let's you choose what it displays, and it stops the automatic cyclcing!
A few things that I have found annoying:
* The seat is uncomfortable. Maybe it's because I'm tall, but the main thing I want on a device that I'm going to use a lot is a comfy seat. I was not impressed at all with the one that came with it. If anyone has found a way to attach a better seat please leave a comment!
* If you stop using it briefly to take a short break the display clears within a minute or two, losing the estimated calories burned so far. This is quite annoying.
* After using it for a while, mine has developed a small rattle/tick as I turn the pedals. I haven't cared enough to open it to see if it's correctable. Sometimes it goes away.
* Inside there is some kind of band that acts as a chain between some of the parts. After a bit of use this band seems to rub against some of the internal parts and deposits black filings on my carpet. They don't stain, but occasional vacuuming is required.
* The plastic for the shell is a bit brittle and easy to crack.
* The heart-rate monitor takes a while to recover and find your accurate heart rate if you remove your hands from the monitor points on the handle bars.
Overall it's stood up fairly well and for the price it's definitely a good starter bike. I would give it 4/5 if not for the quality of the seat.
- I bought this a couple of months ago. Not expecting much for this price. But this thing is still working good for me and my wife. We are both under 180lbs (it labels 'not for use over 250lbs') and 5-8"/5-10" tall. The seat is good for us, after a first-time ache use...
There is no light on the display, but the (ordinary) light in our room is sufficient to read the panel.
a great starter machine
- I purchased this bike about one month ago, and I am very pleased with it. I had my boyfriend assemble the bike for me, so I can't really comment on whether or not it was difficult to put together. I can see how the bike would be difficult to use for people who are shorter. I'm 5'9" and I had to put the seat down to one of the lowest notches in order to use it comfortably. The only thing that I didn't like about the bike was that the seat was uncomfortable for the first couple uses. Thankfully, it only took a couple hours of riding to break in the seat.
Overall, it is a very smooth and quiet ride. It's also very sturdy. That, along with the preset programs and various resistances, gives you a great workout. Of course, there are better bikes out there, but this bike does a great job and can't be beat for the price.
- I actually bought this through GNC's website after finding it on Amazon. I wasn't sure what to expect after some of the reviews here, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I've been wanting a stationary bike for awhile, as biking is the only activity I can do since having foot surgery last year. This bike seems like a good way to regain the muscle tone in my legs.
It did take awhile for us to put together- probably about 45 minutes. You'll definately need two people for certain parts.
The bike is very comfortable to use. The seat is large and well cushioned, comfortable to sit on for awhile. It can be adjusted to a good range of heights. I'm 5'9" and there were several pegs above and below my setting. I'm still getting used to actually getting on the bike, but I wouldn't recommend this model for anyone with a hard time climbing over objects. The base rises about 2 feet off the ground, so the recumbant model might be better for anyone with an injury or problems lifting their legs.
The technology is great too. I've never used anything beyond a basic fan bike before so I was really excited about the 6 different programs they offer along with the 8 tension settings. I've only played with a few of the programs but there seems to be a good variety of challenges. My favorite part has been watching my progress on the panel. It shows your speed, distance travelled, calories burned, time left, and heart rate. This is really helpful to motivate me to reach the end of my workout and stay within my target heart rate.
I would definately recommend this bike. For the price it's very high quality and the features are really nice. It's a quiet bike, not too heavy when assembled, and it's very quiet.

5 comments about Schwinn 131 Upright Exercise Bike.
- I am frustrated because I have not had good luck with online purchased exercise equipment service in the past. I decided to try Amazon and a name (Schwinn) that seemed reputable. The packaging was a bit torn up but the bike seemed to be going together fine until it was time to plug in and go. The console is not functioning. All connections are right and yet...nothing. Now I have to wait until Monday for customer service.
- I purchased the Schwinn 131 bike from Amazon and it arrived in one week. The box was utterly destroyed and re-taped everywhere. The contents of the box (bike) were used and used heavily. Original styrofoam and packing material was missing, foot base has cracked in half. So, I returned it and promptly got a replacement in two days. The outside box was in a bit better shape, but the bike inside was heavily used again. Also, the replacement AC adapter prongs were bent beyond repair. The LCD was used and cracked. The parts literally would have had to have been thrown against a wall to be in this bad of shape. Totally unacceptable. Another 2 hours of time lost in unpacking and repacking. Taking my refund and going local. When you buy on Amazon they list used products in a separate area. After receiving two used, and damaged bikes, I honestly question what type of second hand goods they are selling as new. ZERO STARS FOR AMAZON. Very embarrassed to have been an Amazon customer up until now. Buy local and save yourself hours of headaches.
- All the previous reviews helped me make my decision to purchase this bike. I am pleased that I did. My daughter and I both like all features, and the quality is great for the price. Everything came faster than expected, and all pieces were present and working well.
- I don't have really anything bad to say about this bike. I did not have any probs with the equipment being delivered broke or it not all being there. The bike was easy to put together, or at least my boyfriend said it was, and it did not take a long time to get together. When using the bike the different programs available are great to use and gives a great workout. Also the bike is very quite so it doesn't annoy you. Plus the bike is small enough so it don't take up to much room! I highly recommend this bike to others!!!
- I received my Schwinn 131 two days ago. I am very pleased so far. The variety of programs is wonderful. There is something for everyone. The machine is smooth and quiet. I would like it to be a bit bigger. I'm 6'1", and I'm at the limit of the sizing adjustments. Assembly is pretty easy, and the tools are included. Although, if you have your own real tools, the task will go quicker.
For the price, I highly recommend. Amazon has the lowest price, and free shipping.

- I love this bike. Great price, sturdy and simply just works. The only thing that could make it better would be if you could program in your target heart rate zone and if it would alert you if you went outside that zone. Other than that this is a great buy for the money.
- For an inexpensive bike, this is a great value. It has many nice features and the seat is very comfortable and adjusts well. Provides a good workout for beginners and those ready for challenge.
- For the money you are going to be hard pressed to find a better recumbent exercise bike. The unit is solid and sturdy. Very well balanced on it's four feet. Adjusting from position to position so that users of varying heights can all be comfortable is a snap...unscrew a pin with a large plastic handle, slide the rear assembly in or out, screw the pin back down. I've seen some spec sheets saying this unit has a built in fan...not so. The display, however, is large and easy to read. It also runs off AC power, a nice feature. An added plus is the ease of assembly and the very quiet operation. I can't recommend this unit enough. My research and use tells me that you are going to need to spend double or triple this amount to find a noticeably better bike. And as for durability...my wife and I alternate use on this almost daily and it's holding up just fine.
- Edge 288 Recumbent Exercise Bike
My Dad is 80 Years old, this is his second bike and just loves everything about it! It is smooth, durable and very comfi. We got it from the good old Amazon.com; paid reasonable price without shipping & handling! We recommend this bike to anyone.

5 comments about Schwinn 101 Upright Exercise Bike.
- Mechanics/computer fails repeatedly, schwinn does not stand behind their porducts...buyer beware. I used mine a total of 23 times at low resistance...now its at the curb.
- I searched locally, but all the stationary bikes in my area had too many bells and whistles. One even had video game controls on the handles so you could play a game while exercising. Not being a member of Gen X, I prefer the low tech version. This Schwinn 101 is quiet enough to carry on a conversation or listen to the TV without having to raise the volume. The action is smooth. The seat can be adjusted many ways to suit your style or comfort needs. My only complaint is, that at 5'2" the handle bars are so far away that it puts extra strain on my back to reach them.
- As a frequent purchaser of put-it-together-yourself items, I find that tools included for these items are usually cheap devices of a pressed metal variety. So, when I opened my horribly mangled box, I was not surprised at the lack of good solid tools included. Trying each tool once and noting the considerable wear on the tools each time I turned a nut or tightened a screw, I quickly scrounged in my local tool box and produced hearty tools that easily completed the job.
It took 1 hour to put the bike together myself and except for the lack of good tools the other components that came in the mangled and holey box, were of solid design. It is whisper quiet while in use and the bike has a fairly small space requirement. The seat was a little hard, but supportive, if you don't like hard seats you should order a seat cover.
If you purchase this bike keep in mind that you should have some good tools and a minimal understanding of bikes in general.
- This is the first time buying an exercise bike for me, and I wanted to make sure that my bike is of good quality. So far, this seems to be the case with my Schwinn 101. I was a little hesitant at first, because some of the reviews seemed negative. However, much of the criticism comes from the poor packaging and shipping, not from the mechanics of the bike itself.
Because I actually bought mine from a local store (for cheaper than the Amazon price), I was able to circumvent the shipping problems. Plus, the local store guys assured me that I could bring it right back if anything was damaged (the packaging was kind of flimsy) or missing. So I would recommend that if anyone is considering buying this bike to try getting it locally. It could save so many hassles.
Set up seemed easy enough (my husband did it for me in about 30 minutes). The bike seems sturdy and I like the sleek, simple design. For the first couple times riding it, I could hear a "ping" noise from the pedals, but I think this is gone now. I am very happy with the way the bike works (caveat: I've only had it for about 2-3 weeks)--I get some serious exercise from it. I'm impressed with how the handle bars count my pulse and the monitor display is helpful in knowing how much exercise I'm getting. Also, it's really quiet. I didn't think the water bottle holder would be a big deal, but it is! It makes hydrating so much easier, which helps me exercise better. The resistance also seems adequate. Mind you, I'm a small person without much leg muscle, but still, using one of the programmed exercises for 20 minutes kicks my butt! And the highest resistance level on these programs is 5 (out of 8 levels). All in all, I'm very happy with this bike helping me get regular exercise.
- After about 2 years of use, my Schwinn 101 bike failed for no apparent reason - all the resistance gave out. I figured out how to get the screws out of the plastic "shroud" that hides the inner workings, but could never get the shroud all the way off because I could not get it by the pedal assembly. Schwinnn provides no repair directions to help with that step, an don online search also proved futile since all the online manuals from Schwinn cover other topics.
Peering inside, I can see that the tensioning spring came off. But that can't be fixed with the shroud still in place. So, I've been stymied in the efforts to fix it myself and get back on to the bike ...
I have to say this is typically lousy modern design that fails to block failure, AND fails to make it simple to deal with the failure. So, I've now wasted 2 hours in futile repair efforts and have to go the gym each evening to bike until I can buy a new one. I will not buy another Schwinn !!!!!

5 comments about Stamina 15-0110 InStride Cycle.
- My mother is a diabetic, has Parkinson's disease and lives in a nursing home. The Nursing Home Physical Therapists use the stride cycle and ones like it with the patients to exercise their lower and upper body. Also, the PTs at the local hospital use it for therapy. It really is ideal for the elderly, disabled, or just for moving while sitting in front of the TV.
My Aunt is 80 and is also a diabetic. She can't afford a professional piece of exercise equipment. For safety reasons, she can't go out and walk by herself. Her home health PT recommended she use a stride cycle.
The stride cycles might not be for everyone but they are very good for certain people. There is a clear warning on the cycle that clearly states that it does get hot after use.
- For exercising your arms, the InStride Cycle isn't bad, but it's difficult to use it as a "bike" because not only is it difficult to stabilize, but the motion is quite jerky, which hurts my knees too much for this to be of any use to me. I'll keep it because I can get $25 worth of arm exercise out of it, but I can't recommend it if you're hoping to use it as a bike.
- The cycling motion actually heats up the whole unit.. so much so I had burns on my legs when I accidently brushed against it upon 'dismount'. I had to get rid of it. Maybe if you used it at a lower pace it would be ok, but just forget about using the resistance unless you want to fry eggs on it.
- I use this everyday for about 45 minutes. I feel better and have more energy, so it must be doing something right. After use it is hot to touch the metal so make sure little fingers don't try to touch it. Also it is light weight so you may need extra weights put on the base to keep it level.
- Don't waste your money, this piece of garbage is not worth two cents. I got put it together and put my foot on it and it broke. it was a waste of my time and money. I suggest you spend a lot more money and get one that is pre assembled and of a quality brand name.

5 comments about Schwinn Airdyne Evo Comp Exercise Bike.
- My bike arrived with a broken monitor and missing parts. I called Nautilus which now owns Schwinn. The customer service # is understaffed and incompetent. I spent over a 1/2 hour to get to the right person and to communicate my problem. I then had to email the same person with confirmation information on my Amazon order. After another 2 emails and over a week later I finally received my parts. I would recommend ordering the bike locally and having the local store deal with Nautilus. Nautilus is not set up to deal with the end user.
- After reading the reviews for this bike I thought it would be difficult to put together, but it was pretty straight forward and quite easy. It's great to ride and seems to be a solid product. For 699.00 I thought it was a good price through amazon retailers. I am giving this bike a 5 because I believe it's a great product for the money. I pretty sure you will be pleased with this product, as I am.
- I work in IT so I understand firsthand how aggravating it can be for our client's when "patch" instructions are written by engineers. Based on the atrocious assembly instructions, I can only assume that a Schwinn engineer was tagged with this task.
Basically there are one page of instructions and two pages of illustrations. The illustrations must have been done in Microsoft paint because they are often so pixilated & muddy, that you can't make out the components. The other problem is that you often guess which set of instructions go with which illustration. I think the average assembly time (3-4 hours based on peoples comments here)...could be cut in half with good quality instructions. For this reason alone I lowered my rating by 1 star.
As far as the construction of the bike it seems to be solid as a rock. It's probably premature for me to be writing a review as I've only put 12 miles on the bike so far but that being said, this is not flimsy construction! I also thought the overall motion of the unit was smooth and noise was minimal.
One other thing I'd probably comment on is that it would be nice if there was another means of increasing resistance. While I do think you can get a good workout on the bike I felt that I was able to obtain the highest cyclical rates too easily and maintained that speed for 25 minutes. Guess I'll have to ride the bike a while longer if I want to burn 500 calories.
Bottom line for me is, if I can use this bike regularly for a few years without any maintenance issues I'll be pleased. Time will tell.
- Don't buy this bike. The Airdyne was recommended to me by a friend, and boy was that a mistake. The instructions for assembly are a joke, and it will take a good 2-3 hours even if you are fast at putting stuff together.
Once I got it together, then of course, the computer display didn't work (exercise timer would abrubtly freeze). Called Schwinn, and they sent another (that still didn't work). I am sending this thing back.
Cross this one off of your list!
- I bought this about 6-8 months ago and love it. It is small and quiet and very comfortable to ride. Major improvement over the older model, which I owned for several years. It was slightly challenging to put together, but it turned out to be a fun project -- all the tools and parts were there, and it took approx. 1 hour. The instructions were very good. Very highly recommended.
