- Initial impression favorable as very quiet with small footprint. However, max resistance too low for me (63 year-old male 175 lbs)and resistance began to fail very soon after initial use, totally blew shortly thereafter. Asked to take off cover to investigate before warranty repair authorized, then had to pay $19 shipping on parts for repairman to use. Still await fix.

- Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2NEJIV7B8Z96G Amazon asked us (Nautilus, Inc.) for a quick video of the Schwinn 460 elliptical being used. This isn't fancy, by any means, but we think you'll see how the dynamic stride lengths of the Schwinn 460 really set this apart from other machines.

- Good for the price but I found myself to have to keep tightening the side screws on the right side where the handle connects to the main machine. It comes loose not because I put it together wrong but I noticed each side is made of different parts/shape. So if you buy it make sure to keep the items (wrench-screw driver) used to put it together.
- for the price I am very impressed and it looks good to.
Very stable, even mine is on the carpet, easy to assemble and didn't even read the instructions and I started right away. Already into 1 month of using it, and I would've never have said that before but I do enjoy using it!

5 comments about Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer (2008 Model).
- I love this eliptical. It is everything that I expected. I recommend this unit to anyone considering a great exercise machine with a super terrific warranty.
- The elliptical took about 2 hours to put together, but the directions were really straight forward and it came with all the tools needed to put it together.
The elliptical is very quiet so far, and the pedals operate very smoothly. I plug in my MP3 player to the elliptical and go!
- Received my E-35 in less than a week even using the Amazon free shipping via ABF Freight. No damage during shipping, good on ABF. I was able to move the trainer into the house and to the room where it be would used by myself, but I wish I had help at the time. Assembly was fairly easy and Sole organized the hardware according to the steps in assembly. The first time I had ever experienced that and I usually have to assemble everything I purchase. Did my first workout shortly after assembly, and it worked as described. I did utilize a light coat of the lube on the rail assemble which quieted some scraping noise. The instructions
do not tell you where to use the lube, but you can go to the Sole website and find the maintenance section which mentions lubing the rails and keeping them clean. I also used some removeable locktite (blue color) on all the bolts just in case. The machine feels solid and relatively quiet with not a lot of excess buttons on the control panel. I'm in my fifties and heavy, and this trainer really gives me a workout. At this point, I extremely pleased with this purchase, and as usual, Amazon who has not disappointed me to date.
- The elliptical was delivered to my garage because they wouldn't bring it up the stairs into my house. I opened the box and took the parts inside. The main part of the elliptical contains the flywheel and was quite heavy. I wouldn't have been able to get it into my house without some help. Assembly wasn't too hard, although I had one problem. When assembling the front column I accidently dropped a bolt into the flywheel assembly. The only way to get it out would have been to try to turn the elliptical upside down. Since the dropped bolt wasn't preventing the elliptical from working correctly, I ended up going to the hardware store to get another bolt. I was careful to tighten all the bolts as much as I could, and the elliptical turned out to be pretty quiet. It also seems very sturdy and I think it will last a long time. It ended up being bigger than I expected from the picture. My wife and I have been using it daily for over a month and we think it is great. There was one source of confusion. It comes with a tube of lube, but nothing in the instructions explains what to do with it. After using it for about a month I noticed it was making more noise than it had before. I was able to figure out that the lube goes on the tracks where the wheels slide, and that fixed the noise problem.
- This elliptical gives an intense workout and is extremely low impact. After looking around at different ellipticals, I was impressed with the sturdiness, warranty, and customer reviews about the Sole brand.
It is a little tricky to put together and weighs over 130 lbs. so you might consider having it moved and put together for you. My husband was able to put it together in about 1 1/2 hours. I also recommend that you put it in the basement because it is so heavy and use Locktite for bolts when putting together.
I have only had it for a few weeks, but am enjoying working out more than I ever have.

1 comments about Life Fitness 95Xi Elliptical Cross Trainer REMANUFACTURED.
- Overall, I think the 95Xi is a terrific bargin. I got mine two years ago and lost 70 lbs AND now I have a V02 max that would allow me to run in a marathon. I also bike, indoor row on a ConceptII rower; weight train on a total trainer; balance on a BOSU trainer, stretch with weighted bars; and walk a lot.
However, the 95Xi is central to my exercise since ones aerobic capacity opens up doors that you can run through (trademark).
The only shortcoming of the 95Xi was the company's support. They wouldn't help me because the dealer was responsible and I'm still wondering about a "slipping clutch sound" that the dealer hasn't addressed yet. LifeFitness: feel free to post contact information if you have the answer to this question!
I got my 95Xi very early on and the dealer had to upgrade parts that wore out and that was a little frustrating since the replacement wasn't proactive. For example, I had to have the stabilizers replaced 3 times but now they seem perfect since Life Fitness now makes them stronger. I also had some plastic parts replaced since Life Fitness tried to use a single screw to hold them on and, therefore, they could be easily "bumped off."
I also wish that, as a premium machine, it had the computer interface that my ConceptII rower has: that machine lets me look historically at all my workouts and only cost $1000.00.
However, despite these oddities, I lost 70 lbs and have an awesome aerobic capacity. During the past two years, I've used it for 282 hours or about 23 minutes per day. That far excedes the time I spent with any other piece of equipment.
The reason why I like the 95Xi so much is that it's more like a treadmill than a stair stepper. Their residential models and every one of their competitors seem to be closer to stair steppers since the elliptical motion seems hoppy and choppy. The 95Xi, on the other hand, has a very smooth, elliptical rotation that makes me think I'm walking on air and doing the moon dance.
Overall, I recommend the 95XI hands down.
