  1. This was easy to use, simply unfold the cardboard template out onto the court, tape it down and paint. We used paint brushes and a special paint that is good for concrete, but we also used the enclosed white spray paint on the blocks and that worked great and was less work. We did one extra step than what the directions stated. Before we started we hung plumb line from the corners of the backboard to establish a straight line that was parallel with the backboard. That helped us in lining up the template flush with the backboard. The court looks great -recommend this product.

  2. I was able to layout the court and paint it in about 45 minutes. The template is well marked and easy to use. All tt took was measuring the starting point and the rest of the court (including the three point line) all fell into place. After it dried I was able to repack the template for use again after I sealcoat my drive in the spring....

  1. Just as described. It was simple to do. I had my 7 year old hold one end of the string (which he enjoyed) & I took the other end and quickly chalked in all the lines. It took about 3 minutes total to draw the lines & the kids had a fun time. Even my husband was impressed when he came home!

  2. Everything was as expected. The directions made it very easy. The only down side was the chalk. They mention a sport chalk that comes off with a powerfull wash. This is your normal kids outdoor chalk and a slight rain made it disappear. Luckily I was planning on spray paint or I would have to repeat the process after each rain. In all nice and simple.

  1. I bought this for my husband as a surprise and unfortunately, he did not want it after all. :-(
I never took it out of the package, but it looked like what what advertised on amazon.

  2. I purchased this template and used it a couple of years ago. It was very easy to layout and pretty much dummy proof. However, it is made of a paper so thin that you will need to use it on a day without wind and weight it down as you are using it with something (I used barbel weights). After about 2 years, the paint I chose faded to a point where I couldn't just paint over the old marks, I had to use the template again. It stored just fine and I was able to use it again without a problem although I accidentally ripped it this time and decided to throw it away.

What I liked most about the template:
    1. It was easy to setup and use and didn't cost much. I paid about $20 for it.
    2. It had the inner circle portion of the paint which most templates no longer seem to have. I know that jump balls are no longer done in that area, but I used that inner circle line as a convenient spot for free throw shots for my kindergarten through third grade kids who play on an 8.5 foot goal.

What I didn't like about it:
    1. The dashed lines require less paint, but I don't think I've ever seen dashed lines on a real court; at least not for all the lines. I didn't care about painting the 3-point line, but it appears that the 3-point line doesn't extend all the way to the baseline.
    2. Any wind at all makes it very difficult to use the templates.

My honest opinion is that if you are unsure about the measurements, then try the template once. It's pretty cheap. If you need the curved lines (such as the 3-point line), then the template might be easier than doing it with tape and paint. If you feel confident that you can get the measurements right, then buy some painters' tape and a tape measure and do it yourself.

  3. I just bought one of these and opened it up to install it. The picture is misleading, the 3-point line does not extend to the sides or back to the baseline, it is ONLY by the top of the key. This thing is made of lightweight paper and if you are lucky, you can use it once.

(...)I have seen it on many websites for $36 and higher. Save your money and buy a roll of duct tape and a measuring tape. This product is worthless.

  1. We have the Rolbak for a basketball hoop but we also have a wash full of Saguaros and other cacti, which means one Oops and you have a dead ball. We added this behind the Rolbak and it did the trick.

We scared some Javelinas (wild rodents that appear to be pigs, but aren't) and one ran through the end net. Three nylon attachments needed to be fixed and that's it. These are very tough nets folks!

  1. This is a pretty good book bag. There is plenty of pocket room. The shoulder straps are very supportive. The only problem I have with it is at times its difficult to remove and replace my basketball from the outside pocket, but overall its a great buy.
