- This bat is absolutely amazing. I bought the crusher -- as I thought the smasher was a bit long -- and I was absolutely amazed. I smacked the side of a cement pillar and took out a big chunk without so much as SCRATCHING the bat. In addition to being indestructible, this bat is also very flexible.
It would make an excellent bat for hitting balls around and an almost perfect self-defense weapon (aside from a 12 GA shotgun!!). I can honestly say that Tony Soprano would endorse this bat!!!
Excellent product!

- This has to be one of the best priced bats I have ever bought. This bat outdid $110 bats, and it was $12. First hit I put it to the fence, second Hit it was over and gone. I will definitely be buying a few more of these for batting practice.
- The bat is in perfect shape. Didn't turn out to be the bat we ordered, but it is a better one, so we were very happy.
- We wanted a bat for our 4 yr old to get her ready to start playing T-ball and soft ball when she gets old enough. This is perfect for her! She is on the tall side though (she's over 50"), so it may not work as well for a shorter 4 yr old. But for any child about the same height, I would say it would work great!
- 2 stars actually might be giving a little too much credit. The previous review that I read gave this bat 5 stars and said that he thought it added a lot of "pop" to their lineup. Must have forgot to mention the overload Creatine or Anabolics because this bat more or less stinks. I used it for 4 games and soild shots just sounded dead. I switched over to an old Dim that is 4 yrs old and it has 5 times the pop left in it compared to this Mac after three games. If you need something for kids, this would be a decent buy. If it is for adults, not recommended!
- Our church has a slowpitch softball team, and we collect an extra $10 per person for equipment purchases. Last year, we spent the entire amount on one fancy-brand bat. This year, we bought 4 of these MacGregor bats in different sizes (all 3 sizes for the X10SB, and one 25-ounce X9SB). Everyone on the team is extremely happy with the purchase. These bats match the quality of bats that usually sell for $99-$129. At our last game on Thusday, using the 30-ounce X10SB, I hit a ball that landed 10 feet beyond the fence. This was a big surprise to me because my best hits were falling 10-15 feet short of the fence last year.
I couldn't be more pleased with these bats, especially for the price we paid. These bats are far superior to the $30 models you will find at your local discount store -- and they're quite a bargain compared to sporting goods store prices.

1 comments about Miken Ultra ll Advanced.
- This bat is the real deal, and it will add distance to your swing. There is a reason this bat is illegal in most places. I play in a senior league, and they are allowed in a few tournaments, and if they are allowed you'll see a bunch of these bats by most all the teams. I own a regular Freak and the Ultra ll, and the Ultra will out-distance the Freak every time and it's about $75- $100 cheaper. The down side is I've seen two Ultras break in half, one of them was mine. I loaned it out a little too much I think, plus hitting it in cold weather may not be good for it. But if you have warning track power without the Ultra, it will turn you into a home run hitter.
