  1. After you are tuckered out from an all-day 4th of July wiffle ball marathon, you can turn this plastic yellow bat upside down and use it as a hand-held bottle rocket launcher. (That's what the little hole at the end of the handle is for) Even the big ones won't burn you.

This inexpensive, plastic Chinese-crafted product allows you to play America's pastime and shoot off fireworks in a safe, relaxing and convenient manner, and that's what freedom is all about, folks.

And think ahead, buy wiffle balls by the dozen...

  2. This wiffle bat is light and easy to use. Substitue it for a whip or crop when training your young horse. It will not hurt the horse, but will get the horse's attention!

  3. This is your basic wiffle bat. Good deal for the price.

  4. This is the classic wiffle bat, fluorescent yellow and 32 inches long. A lot of people will try to sell you a black-and-white bat, or a red bat that flares out at the end. You must decline these bats, politely but firmly. The wiffle bat has stood the test of time, and will continue to do so long after the imitators are gone.

Most people know that the wiffle bat is ideal for hitting the aptly-named wiffle ball, but few newcomers know about the bonus features:

    1) If your opponent throws a hanging curveball and you make solid contact, the ball will slide down the bat even as you are hitting it. The result will be a monstrous home run that makes a whistling sound as it disappears into your cranky neighbor's yard.

    2) The lower part of the wiffle bat has a textured grip. Nice.

    3) The base of the bat has a little hole in it that, when the bat is waved around, makes a cool, low-pitched whistle not unlike the hum of a light saber.

Highly recommended for anyone with a ball, a yard, and a friend.

  1. This has to be one of the best priced bats I have ever bought. This bat outdid $110 bats, and it was $12. First hit I put it to the fence, second Hit it was over and gone. I will definitely be buying a few more of these for batting practice.

  2. The bat is in perfect shape. Didn't turn out to be the bat we ordered, but it is a better one, so we were very happy.

  3. We wanted a bat for our 4 yr old to get her ready to start playing T-ball and soft ball when she gets old enough. This is perfect for her! She is on the tall side though (she's over 50"), so it may not work as well for a shorter 4 yr old. But for any child about the same height, I would say it would work great!

  4. 2 stars actually might be giving a little too much credit. The previous review that I read gave this bat 5 stars and said that he thought it added a lot of "pop" to their lineup. Must have forgot to mention the overload Creatine or Anabolics because this bat more or less stinks. I used it for 4 games and soild shots just sounded dead. I switched over to an old Dim that is 4 yrs old and it has 5 times the pop left in it compared to this Mac after three games. If you need something for kids, this would be a decent buy. If it is for adults, not recommended!

  5. Our church has a slowpitch softball team, and we collect an extra $10 per person for equipment purchases. Last year, we spent the entire amount on one fancy-brand bat. This year, we bought 4 of these MacGregor bats in different sizes (all 3 sizes for the X10SB, and one 25-ounce X9SB). Everyone on the team is extremely happy with the purchase. These bats match the quality of bats that usually sell for $99-$129. At our last game on Thusday, using the 30-ounce X10SB, I hit a ball that landed 10 feet beyond the fence. This was a big surprise to me because my best hits were falling 10-15 feet short of the fence last year.

I couldn't be more pleased with these bats, especially for the price we paid. These bats are far superior to the $30 models you will find at your local discount store -- and they're quite a bargain compared to sporting goods store prices.

  1. I had purchased two 20 ounce bats for my sons not realizing what weight really meant in a bat. The 20 oz was way too heavy. I didn't want to spend a fortune on more bats so I looked and found the Nike bat. It was 17.5 oz with good length and the price was very reasonable. My sons have a much easier time swining it...in fact it has become the most popular bat on their farm league team. The kids like that its long and they can swing it with ease.

1 comments about Easton SCX14 Synergy Extended Slow Pitch Bat.

  1. I wanted to "treat" myself to a good bat and I purchased this 34inch 30oz Easton. I've purchased various easton bats over the years and was looking forward to this one. I'm 6'1" and a lean 195 lbs and expect a bat to transfer energy, not flex too much. The bat sounds odd, as if it literally had a barrel made from bamboo. I know, it's weird. People ask about the bat all the time, for all the wrong reasons. The extended barrel might be the culprit, but who knows. Don't get me wrong, it does have positives. When you hit the ball perfectly, it does push the ball deep, but I use this as my secondary bat. Now, I'm back to my older Eastons that perform solid and have softballs pop right off the barrel. Hope this helps. -E.

  1. This is the second Nike bat I have purchased for my Little League age son. Neither survived a complete season. While it is a great bat out of the box with good "feel" and pop, it just is not a durable bat. Despite being used only in games and pre-game batting practice, the barrel soon became mis-shapen and eventually cracked. Nike warranty service has thus far not been helpful either. I would not recommend this bat.

  2. This bat is very light and is comparable to the $200 plasma bats that all the spoiled rich kids are getting. Both my boys are hitting much better. They can get the bat around much quicker and most of the other players like to use it to help their swing.

  3. I purchased this bat for my son. After reviewing the bat last year and speaking with several baseball coaches, I purchased the bat as an alternative to the popular composition bats. The Torque has lived up to all expectations. The bat has a large sweet spot and plenty of "pop". The bat's lightweight allows for plenty of bat speed. So far, the bat has held up well. My son's hitting average and range is holding its own against teammates with composites.

  1. This is a great baseball bat for playing in a confined area. It has a little weight, but nothing significant enough to hit a homerun or break a neighbors window. This bat will deteriorate if left outside through the elements. The durability is the only reason this item did not receive five stars in this review. Even with the bat being a bit weathered, I can still find use for it. It has been monumental in training both my dog and my 2-year old son. When I pick up the old bat, they know they have done something wrong, so usually they hide. Thanks EA, my son has finally stopped playing with his food.
