  1. Now broken in, this glove is my favorite. It isn't "game ready" (most good, durable gloves are not) but broke in nicely after about 8 hours of practice. It begins tight and forms to your fingers.

I've caught many infield line drives and only hurt my palm once.

This isn't an ideal outfield glove for softball, since it is somewhat small.

  2. We first purchased a Demarini Diablo for our daughter and fell in love with the Demarini gloves. She was playing 1st base then and the glove was great for her. The leather was very soft and she was able to start playing with the glove from day 1. When she changed positions we decided we needed to get her a fielding glove. After an extensive search in all our local stores we ended up ordering the Voodoo online. We had seen a lot of Demarini gloves in the stores and our previous experience suggested to us that it would be a safe thing to do. We like the glove. It has pretty soft leather and it is the perfect compromise in size for her. The ONLY negative we have seen with the glove is the weight. It is noticeably heavier than other gloves we were looking at. Like I said though, that is the oly negative that we are able to find with it. The leather is soft and durable. We still think that Demarini makes some of the best gloves for their price range. We would (and do) recommend this glove to anyone looking for a good fielding glove. Good luck!

5 comments about Sports Sensors Glove Radar.

  1. I recently purchased a glove radar for my 10 and 13-year old sons at a discount from Amazon. The product is easy to use and works well. The mystery of our pitching speeds has now been solved. It's nice to have a unit that you can move from glove to glove, and get a handle on pitching speed without needing a third party to measure it. I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to track the speed of their pitches.

  2. Have you ever used a jugs gun? If so then you have to get a glove radar! This little product is a powerhouse radar that attaches to the back of a ball glove. It is an affordable training tool that anyone can use. My daughter's softball team used it for training to improve their throwing technique. The pitcher loved it, but all of the other players would take a turn using it as well. My daughter, who is a catcher, used it to quantify her improvement as she was practicing her throw to second base.

It is important for readers to realize that this is a true radar not one of those products that simply time the throw from a designated distance. We have one of those products which we trashed once we got the glove radar! The glove radar allows the ball to be thrown from any distance and its accuracy rivals that of an expensive jugs gun. It is truly a bargain.

Another awesome training tool also manufactured by Sports Sensors is the Kickspeed radar for soccer. Our coach has one and we just purchased our own. It is great to have a training aid which will actually quantify improvement while training!

  3. We have used our glove radar for several years. My husband coaches t-ball and I have helped in little league. When you coach players how to throw properly and give them immediate feedback on the speed of the ball, they listen and follow coaching instructions. The players are motivated to do as you have instructed, because they have a way to measure how well they throw the ball. The improvement we have seen in our players is the most incredible pace I have ever experienced. Other parents & coaches have witnessed our results and have also purchased the Glove Radar to work with players on their own. My oldest son has developed such awesome technique over the past years, he is now a lead pitcher in his league. In t-ball, our players make accurate throws to first base even from third and short-stop to make the out at first almost every time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

  4. We purchased 2 of these units back in 2000, while making a run at the Little League World Series. We originally bought them to evaluate pitchers, however they were soon utilized by by all the players to evaluate and enhance their throwing positions. Although I have had to replace the batteries,(which Sport Sensors shipped for free), they still are in use today for the Cocoa Beach High School Varsity Team. As far as accuracy, we measured the units against Jugs Guns and they were on the money. Just remember this unit determines speed about 20" before glove impact, not from the throwers hand. I would highly recommend

  5. I have been coaching youth baseball for nearly 10 years and I really like this product for training and gauging players' improvement. The Glove Radar is easy to use, affordable, and gives consistent and accurate speed readings. You have to understand that it measures the speed just before the ball enters the mitt, which is different than radar guns (the guns measure the ball speed close to the pitcher's/thrower's release point). Since a thrown ball's speed decreases about 1 mph for every 7 feet traveled the reading on a Glove Radar is always a lower number than the reading on a radar gun. Remember that and you'll love this thing.

  1. These are a great value. Our grandkids use them each time they come to play softball.

  2. Great for the traveling softball team! If you are responsible to bring your own bases, these are a good value and light weight.

  3. I bought these for my 6 yr old son last fall. A couple of them have already ripped in half and the others aren't far behind. Invest a little more and buy something that will last more than a couple of months - the vinyl doesn't!

5 comments about Franklin Sports 2752 MLB 3 Lens, Flip-Up Sunglasses.

  1. My 9 yr old loves his new baseball sunglasses with interchangeable lenses; he looks cool and can field those fly balls with greater ease. We both are frustrated by two things, however:
    1. The lenses pop in easily, but that ensures that flop out easily. They just don't stay in the frame as well as they should for active wear.
    2. That problem creates another: a case is not provided (for which we would have gladly paid extra), so storage is difficult, and the lens pops out when we try to put it in a bag we're using until we can find a case large enough to accomodate the sunglasses and all the lenses.
If the manufacturer would tweak the design a bit and include a case, we would have paid up to $[...] for these otherwise useful and attractive sunglasses.

  2. My experience was similar to others here, those who had trouble with the "flip-up part" of the glasses staying in place when manipulated to the "up position." I drilled a small hole into the back of the flip-part of the glasses, then ran a piece of floral wire(quite small, but strong) through the hole and around the axle-part of the glasses frame, then twisted it to secure the flip-part to the axle-part, thereby preventing the flip-part from coming off. Works like a charm, but required additional work to make it work properly without separating. I've been using them now for over a month and have yet to(knock on wood) have them come apart again.

  3. Every time you flip them up the hinge holding the lens frame comes apart. I bought them to hang glide with but I will not use them for fear of the lens popping off at 5k ft. and losing it. Peter

  4. I bought them for a trip to the Caribbean. It's nice to have three interchangeable lenses for different conditions. The lenses are pretty prone to fingerprints and smudges when you try to change them, and the lens tends to fall off after a few flips. Overall the sunglasses feel a little flimsy, but are nonetheless very comfortable and quite stylish. The sunglasses also come with a travel pouch, which is convenient.

  5. The flip up mechanism keeps on falling off. Don't buy this. I had to return mine.
