- They fit great, they're comfortable, and the quality is wonderful. With the grip bar and the velcro wrist wrap, they provide good support for punching full strength on the heavy bag.
Size wise, I'm a 5'6" woman who always has difficulty finding gloves that fit. A women's XL is often too small (too narrow, too short in the fingers) when I'm shopping for regular leather winter gloves, but a small fit fine with these (a little snug the first few times I wore them, but now that they're broken in they go on and come off easily) since they're fingerless. I wear them alone with no wraps underneath.
- Great to workout with ! Extremely comfortable with adequate padding. Light and fold well. Been using them for an hour everyday and still look new (that does not say much about my boxing but nevertheless :)...)
- I've been using these for my MMA class and really like them. I've used them hitting the bag and mitts. The extra wrist support lets you hit hard while giving some good support and the inside grip allows you to grip with less force so your hands don't get tired quick.
- This is a great product. We use the gloves on a heavy bag about three to four times a week and they are everything they were advertised. I highly recommend them for anyone who trains MMA/kickboxing type fighting.
- I've had a pair of these gloves for a number of years and I will be purchasing another pair for my son. They hold up great, are very comfortable, and offer excellent wrist support (though you still need to wrap your hands). I've used them for both heavy bag work and light mma sparring as I'm still able to grapple with them on. I would definitely recommend this glove.

- As soon as I opened the package, a horrible odor was apparent. The gloves smell very bad. When I went to my dojo, I almost couldn't stand the smell while I used them. I tried calling Everlast to find out about it and they basically have a loop that never picks up. I left a message and they never returned my call. Anyone else have this smell problem? Were you able to get rid of it? I think it is a common problem with products that are made in china.
- I purchased these gloves for my brother as a Christmas gift, predominantly for use with a punching bag. Unfortunately, they were a big disappointment. The gloves seemed to fit fine, but were very uncomfortable and even painful when used on the bag. It may be that there is insufficient padding around the knuckles. Still searching for the perfect bag gloves...
- I was looking for a pair of gloves to go with my new heavy bag that was a nice cross between comfort and protection. I tried on traditional full hand glove (traditional boxing style) but I was not a fan of the feel and lack of ability to use my fingers once the gloves were on. I then moved to the more MMA styled open finger style heavy bag gloves, and that was definitely the right direction. These gloves fit great, protect my hand even after hitting the bag for long periods of time and I still have the ability to move my fingers.
I would definitely recommend these gloves and a pair of hand wraps if you plan to use the gloves for longer periods (definitely helps comfort) also the more I wear these the more comfortable they seem to get.
- Best heavy bag glove ive ever used, great fit and awsome comfort. Perfect padding and great breathable material.

- The quality of this glove is very good. If you are using it for non-contact kickboxing/fitness exercise, and you just want to get a better feel for your punches.. This is perfect. However, if you are hitting any bag/mittens/etc., the padding is definitely too thin.
- I teach a kickboxing class with a heavy bag and I have used 3 different brands of gloves, my class and I agree these gloves are by far the best, comfortable when you first use them and wear really well. Wash well and form to your hands nicely, I will only buy these gloves from now on.
- I love these gloves and highly recommend them to any woman who is working out on a heavy bag! They provide a high level of wrist stability while remaining very comfortable. I used a pair of these gloves for a minimum of 3 times per week for almost an entire year and they held up incredibly well! They are well worth the money and by far the best gloves I've ever owned!
- I use them for my Body Combat practice and hey are the best. Also great if you use long nails... they avoid hurting yourself with them!!
- On the up side, they breathe well and are flexible. Unfortunately, for me they do not give enough protection. I like to really punish the bag. I kickbox about 4 days a week. These gloves are not padded enough to protect my hands and they fit snuggly so there is no room for wraps. My advice would be to buy them a size too big so you can use wraps if you want to be able to really slam your punches.

- Good gloves. Cheap price. Use hand wraps and you shouldn't have any problems. for beginners, you should practice punching first. dont be a hero and go all-out on a punching bag and mess up your wrist.
- These gloves are great for me, they have more than enough padding for light to heavy bag work, and they fit very nice.
- I am not big into this kind sport but my son and I wanted to work out on a heavy bag. I looked at a lot of other types of gloves and tried some on in stores. Nothing seemed to fit right. These are great. They would fit anyone and they really protect. I don't feel anything when I am punching the bag. Not sure if they are good for someone who is really into the UFC/MMA sport but great for anyone just wanting to work out some frustrations on a heavy bag.
- Great bag gloves! You won't be disappointed. The neoprene padding and pre-shaped form make these gloves durable and comfortable. There's no tacky plastic or leather on the outside surface, minimizing friction and further lengthening the useful life of the gloves.
For the price, I don't think it gets much better =)
- At first glance the gloves look flimsy but they make a world of difference in the comfort of my workout.I am using the gloves on a water/air stand up bag that looks soft but regular leather gloves
were killing my hands. No discomfort with these gloves now and the price is right.

- For the speed bag these are perfect! They're good for a DEB and some light bag work as well. Like some other reviews I did notice it leaves black marks from them on my red DEB but I don't mind... adds character. The metal grip bar in the palm adds some weight to the palm its but barely noticed once you're wearing them. I highly recommend these... I'm surprised they're not higher priced.
- I train in classical Japanese and Okinawan style karate, and in the past few years have started training with the heavy bag (70 and 100 lb canvas and leather-like vinyl) to supplement the makiwara (wooden board wrapped with rice string mounted to the floor, not the padded clapper wall-mount type). Due to my past training my first two knuckles have decent bone strength and skin callus, but hitting a heavy bag is different from what I am used to.
With a heavy bag, your fist sinks in to some degree, and I was beginning to tear my second set of knuckles (PIP joint), particularly on the canvas bag. Wrist wraps and padded MMA-style gloves left this area exposed. My training partner has been using a set of these real leather Everlast gloves for more than 20 years and swears by them, so I got a pair.
I am delighted, as they provide complete coverage to the skin, and I really didn't feel the padding on the MMA-style gloves was needed. But now I can hit the bag full force--what a difference! After a good training, the skin on my contact knuckles is red, but nothing is torn or bleeding.
I do not use these for speed bag workouts. I do notice the metal bar inside the glove feels OK, but it slightly changes the shape of my fist compared to bare-fisted striking. After a workout, you do have a sweat+leather smell left on your hands, but that's what I'd expect with real leather.
If these gloves last me 20 years, they'll be worth every penny.
- I use these for heavy bag work from time to time, and they are very light weight and great for quick movements.
- If your hands are bigger than a child you will not fit in these gloves. I wonder if my seller gave me cheap knock offs they are so small. Quality is bad also. Who are these people that like these gloves? Too small too cheap the real deal, garbage.
- They have a metal bar in the grip. Works great, I noticed alittle bit of wear on the outside of the fist part that happened pretty quickly, but I think these are better than the fake leather gloves without the metal grip.

- I bought these gloves about a month ago and after seeing a negative review, I felt compelled to write a positive one. I have one of those freestanding heavy bags so the gloves I got came with the leather ones.. the ones that make you look like you have penguin hands.
These Neoprene gloves are SO much better than the standard gloves that most heavy bags come with. They fit pretty comfortably too considering (what they don't tell you in the review) they are size Small - Medium. I'm 6'4 and they fit me. (honestly, they BARELY fit me. a tiny bit bigger and I'd be completely satisfied)
Been using them for a month and haven't seen them rip or anything like that. A great purchase.
- BULL SHOOT ABOUT FREE SHIPPING THEN I CALLED AMAZON AND THIS RETARD TELLS ME TO CONTACT THE SELLER ABOUT IT
IT SAYS ON AMAZON'S SITE "FREE SHIPPING" WHAT THE HELL DO I HAVE ALL DAY TO CALL OTHER COMPANIES LISTED ON THEIR SITE?????
DON'T BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!1

5 comments about Century Leather Wrap Bag Gloves Black (Black).
- Product just arrived today after about 5 business days. The first thing I noticed about these gloves is that they are not completely leather. The inside is some other sort of material, which is understandable because it seems to aid in drying. The leather on the outside is thin but again, it's understandable being as they're cheap. I used them for about 30 minutes on the bag and they seemed to work pretty well. I bought them a size up so I could fit wraps underneath (which was suggested by others) but I tried them without wraps as well and they felt fine. Others have mentioned that the material is rough on their hands, but it seemed alright to me. All-in-all, they are pretty good gloves for the money. If there was anything I would change, I would make the leather a bit thicker and the fingers shorter.
Anyway, that's my initial reaction, I suppose only time will tell how they hold up...
- Great Gloves. I ordered the Small and they fit perfectly. Hard to find a glove small enough for a 5'2" girl. They seem to be holding up well, I use them about 3 times a week and so far, so good!
- I bought a new pair to replace gloves of the same type I have use for years (they were stolen). While I loved the old ones, Century seems to have changed the lining to a rougher material almost like canvas. Now I have no skin on my knuckles. I know I could use hand wraps but the point of bag gloves is so I don't have to use wraps.
Overall construction is still very good but beware the bloody knuckles.
- These gloves are great because they really protect the fingers and are easy & fast to put on & take off; quick to break in as well. This is my second pair of Century gloves of this type and I absolutely love them and give a high recommendation.
- These gloves were great for what I needed them for. However, when I received them, they reeked of gasoline and had to keep them in the garage in order for my gym bag not to smell. They were new and in packaging but the smell was so strong it was almost embarrassing when I went to the gym. I have had them for a little over a month and the smell has gone away a little but not entirely. Also, I ordered a small, but my hands are very tiny (my instructor told me to get the men's instead of women's) and I have to use wraps under them to keep my hands from cutting against the leather again.

- They fit my hand good and nice leather. They are still hard because their leather but It will loosen up soon. Great Gloves!!
- I ordered these gloves but never received them. There was no way to contact the seller when my tracking number revealed the gloves had left for delivery but were never scanned again. I could only talk with Amazon themselves and was told that I had to wait 14 days after the estimated delivery date, before Amazon could refund my money or have another pair of gloves sent out. If the seller could have been contacted directly maybe this would have been handled better.
- These gloves are inexpensive, perhaps for good reason. I've been using them for a month now and they are already ripping at the seams. Luckily they haven't come apart completely yet. They also leave a pinkish stain on the wrists and sides of the fingers after class, from the dye. Other than that, they are pretty comfortable and I will continue to use them until they completely unravel.
- Great product. Sizes might run small. I purchased a medium and it fits just snuggle on my hand (more snuggle than I had hoped), but not tight.
- I needed a pair of gloves with just enough support for punching the bag a bit. These really do the job. It appears to have minimal padding, but I've been punching the bag pretty hard and, so far, it's been painless. The wrist support is pretty impressive as well.

- These are a Great pair of gloves for punching bag, speed bag and Grappling the fingers are long enough they cover the second knuckle as well which in my opinion is hard to find i have not lost any skin using these gloves on a punching bag which i would with other open finger gloves cause they don't cover the the 2nd knuckle all the way this is a great buy
- i was sent one used and one new glove so i returned them. they are not as heavy duty as the others out there.
- I'm just punching my heavy bag as a from of excercise, thus I'm no expert of gloves but these do the job fine for me. The wrap around my wrist is comfortable and solid, the padding is good and the feel is comfortable. There's a small hard tube that is in the inner palm (no option to take it out) that I wish it was just a bit smaller. Otherwise, great product for the price. I look around everywhere and these were the cheapest yet best quality I could find.
- These are ok for the speedbag, worthless for the heavy bag. Quality was fair - already had a stitch coming loss by the thumbs after one use.
