  1. The product was a bit tasky to assemble (no ways for the boys to do it on their own), but in the usage it has been excellent. Everybody can easily adjust the height of the basket due to the included spring.
The base keeps leaking water. So, probably sand filling is the only sustainable long term option.
All parts were part of the delivery and instructions relatively clear.

  2. We purchsed this basketball hoop for our 7 yr old son for his birthday. He loves it. It is nice because you can adjust it as they grow. It is sturdy and so far has stood up to few good storms. My husband put it together by himself in about 4-5 hrs and just need helped to attach the backboard. For $219.00 it is worth it.

  3. I was a little disappointed, the backboard is pretty thin and the support bars that go from the pole to the plastic base and the screw-holes in the base themselves seem like they could easily break with time. I only paid $179 through Amazon directly, with no shipping charge . . . so for that price, I feel it was a good enough deal. If my son continues to play bball, I will upgrade to a much more study setup.

As for the directions, they were slightly confusing. It took me longer than most to put together, I did it all myself with no help (as a single mom), EXCEPT for when I attached the backboard, THAT step does take two people!

  4. Overall it's a good basketball hoop. The polycarbonate backboard is very thin but it's sturdy enough with the support of steel frame. It took me 4 hours to put together with some help from my 13 years old girl. Some sections of the instruction are confusing. Some figures are incorrect or not clear. Once it's up, it is fun to play with. I paid $169 including shipping - a good price.

  1. I took less than an hour by myself to put this together. I felt the directions were clear. I use it daily and have no issues with it. It was a good price and with free shipping it was wonderful.

  2. My basketball goal arrived quicker than expected. It was easy to assemble and the kids were shooting hoops in no time. I feel like a got a good deal and it's something the whole family enjoys. I would definately recommend this product. Very pleased with my purchase.

  3. Putting it together right was a challenge, but is has served us well. It has to be very portable for us, so we use water in the base and put large rocks in an old cooler on top of the base to make it more stable. I was impressed by the fact that the base returned to shape fairly easily after the corner got run over by a car. The plastic was warm from the sun at the time.

  4. We bought this for my son and his family. The fact it is adjustable makes it possible for our grandchildren to use it as well as our son and daughter-in-law. While there were a few frustrating minutes when it would not go together as it should, they have definitely enjoyed having it as a means to 'family togetherness!'

  5. A bag of assembly parts was missing and it took three -- not the advertised two -- adults to put this contraption together. But once it was together, the kids -- and adults, too -- loved it. They can't get enough of shooting baskets.

  1. The product itself is great (it does the job), and is probably stronger than the backboard I attached to it. It arrived promptly, in a sealed box (i.e. no fault of Amazon or SportsRus) but was missing some pieces. I called the manufacturer and they shipped them free of charge and with no hassle. Probably just a fluke.

  1. We installed this backboard on our existing pole & support bracket. It looks good, just slightly smaller than I would have thought. We've played 3 on 3 games several times on our driveway & the goal is great, absolutely no complaints. You can tighten the bolt underneath the breakaway part of the rim to get the proper tension on the rim, so it's not too tight or too bouncy. Overall it's probably not as sturdy as a more expensive backboard, but it's well worth the price & it will hold up just fine I think. I'd recommend it.

  1. looked all around the internet for a basketball backboard, and found the best price at amazon.I was suprised at how fast it showed up at the door. thanks

  2. I bought this backboard to replace a broken portable unit I was given. It fit great. The backboard is very nice looking, and gives a decent amount of bounce to the ball.(Not glass, but for $199.00 very good.) The item arrived very quickly.(I chose free shipping from Amazon.) There was a missing backboard pad. I called Spalding and they got the part out right away. I would purchase from Spalding again.

  3. So far its a perfect backboard, I've only had it a couple weeks. It is the nicest looking backboard I see around and the construction of it seems sturdy. Most consumer backboards are only braced in the middle this has an aluminum frame as well bracing in the center, which is crucial for response on bank shots. Definitely happy with the backboard and would definitely recommend to anyone.

I have it mounted with a 'Spalding Basketball System Converter' (adjustable mount) which is a little wobbly but no fault of the backboards.

No brainer, buy it. Worry about your mounting system.

  4. My backboard broke by a strong wind. I used the free shipping, new backboard came in about a week and a half. Thanks so much. This 52 inch ones are better, not as many shots hit the house.

1 comments about Aircade Wall Court.

  1. Bought this at Christmas, put it up the day of. It has a pump with it and so far the court has remained very durable. My 4 and 5 year old have been playing this together and enjoy it a lot. Only complaint is that it could have had a few more balls, only one is included, and I did not see an option to purchase more balls. Regardless though, it is a great unit. So far so good.

2 comments about Spalding 88465 In-Ground Basketball System with 54-Inch Acrylic Backboard.

  1. This is a great quality basketball system for the money. The acrylic backboard is thick and solid and so is the pole. It is a 3 piece pole system which initially concerned me but the instuctions are to fill the pole with concrete and once this is done the pole is as solid as a rock. You will absolutely need 2 people and a 2 days to assemble this.

  2. For a mid-range system, the components and parts appear to be strong and durable. Installation is reasonably simple, requiring two persons and requires some time for concrete to cure. For the price of $399.99 and excellent free shipping, this system is an impressive find.

  1. I purchased the Spalding Backboard and Rim Spalding 48-inch Eco Composite Fan Backboard/Rim Combo Unitand am very pleased with the purchase. The delivery was fast, the price was great, and the quality is very good.

  2. I bought this for my son who is 11. he is shooting hoops all the time now and our neighbor kids are playing too. I was a little sceptical since no other backboard combos had been reviewed but so far I am very happy with it. it has been a week. it's good exercise and nice to have it stable on the garage instead of the portable type.

5 comments about Lifetime 1259 Streamline Height-Adjustable Portable Basketball System with 44-Inch Impact Backboard.

  1. Assembly is relatively simple and the system seems to be stable and durable. Paint on the backboard began peeling off shortly after it was put up. Not an easy task to adjust height and could definately be more weather resistant.

  2. The basketball hoop is pretty good for the price that I paid. My kids are young so it will do for now.
It is an excellent hoop to buy for young kids (up to 10-12 years old).
The system is not very easy to put together, and the directions are very confusing. The two main operational problems are that it is not very easy to adjust, and the hoop seems to "suck" the ball in once you hit the back board. My kids are in for a big surprise if they start playing on a "real" hoop. Overall though I would say that it's worth the money for a new hoop. If I had a truck though I would buy a used hoop for much less. I found very nice hoops on yard sales but I could not figure out a way to transport it to my house.

  3. Great item. I bought this court for my nine year old. He enjoys hours a day shooting hoops! The portable court is sturdy and slides with wheels for easy transport. My husband also says that it was very easy to assemble. I would definitely recommend this court.

  4. This is a great hoop for the money. It arrived within days via free shipping and was a breeze to set up. I got this for my son for his birthday and he is very happy with it.

  5. Hoop was easy for 2 people to set up. Seems stable and kids love it! Rim has nice feel and resolve. Would buy again!
