  1. Good product at a great price. My son loves his bow and uses it all the time.

  2. I purchased this as a replacement bow for an old bow of a different brand. With the old bow my son, 10, was consistently shooting 6-10 inch groupings. Not pro, but not bad.
That being said, I'll list all the things wrong with this bow.
The sight is cheap plastic and easily broken. Ours did break.
The threads of the thumb screw that holds/adjusts the sight do not match up well with the threads of the site. The stresses of installing probably weakened the plastic. The instructions were OK, but illustrations did not match the supplied hardware for the sight.
The bracket for the sight is held on by two tapping screws. The holes in the plastic handle are too large or the screws are too small and do not tighten down. These two screws are also too short which contributes to the poor fit. All of this we pressed on with, modifying and creating new parts determined to make it work. Once the newly created sight, which we made to the same dimensions as the old one, was securely installed we tried out the bow. The first problem was the sight would not adjust low enough. The arrows would dive into the ground a few feet short of the target. Knocking the arrow at different (and odd) angles helped a little, but not enough. Lastly, the arrow rest is horrible. It guarantees that the arrow drags through the rest and flips off to the right of where you are aiming. The sight adjusted all the way over would not come close to compensating. We had to aim a full two feet to the left to hit the target at 12 yards. I possibly could have altered the rest by tearing off the top portion of it, but by this time my patience had run out. There are some good points to some of the construction, but they are rendered meaningless due to the multitude of other problems. Save yourself the time and agony, spend the extra money and get a decent bow. You will thank yourself later.

  3. This was a gift for my 8-yr old's birthday. Unfortunately, the package was clearly opened when we took it out of the shipping box. Someone used a cable tie to shut it again- but it had already lost parts, and this wasn't noticed until we tried attaching the quiver and looked for the sight. Hopefully Amazon will come through on the missing items. It is worth noting that national competitors now sell a newer version in camouflage that is much sharper than the unfinished black plastic this comes in- at the same price. Would not recommend this given the above problems.

  4. First off, this bow set looks very impressive and it works great as a first time bow set and for a child between 6 and 10. I wish it came with a few more arrows but it is what it is, oh and they break easy buy extra and buy the same arrows not just any arrows they are the right weight any heaver and it will not have the strength to shoot the arrows. Hope this helps.

  1. I do not recommend dealing with the company which sells this product. The item was supposed to be sent and they never contacted me to tell me it was on backorder. Amazon contacted me to remind me my order had not been processed and I had to contact the company. It took days for a response in which they gave me a new ship date. Then the ship date got close and they told me the product would not be coming in so I should cancel the order (this is 2 months after the initial order was placed). I was so frustrated as many emails went back and forth about where and when to ship the item until they told me to cancel it. Then I emailed them to go ahead and cancel and they emailed me back saying it was cancelled. The next day I got an email from Amazon saying the item had been shipped! It was for a birthday present and I did not know if my recipient would receive it or not. I eventually had to wait a week and check with the receipient and low and behold it had arrived. The product is perfect and it fits the bill but the hassle of getting it was not worth it.

  1. It's a good product for beginners. My son was ecstatic when he opened it. We won't let him use it without parental supervision, though. The arrows aren't sharp, but could probably take an eye out if not careful.

  2. This was a gift, so I have personally never used it. Looked like a great set, and the recipient was happy.

  1. This is absolutely not what is shown on the picture, and for what we received, this is very expensive.

  2. Please be advised that it is not exactly as you see it here. It is simply the cover of the target... and a little pricey.

  1. The title says it all. My son loves the bow. It's a little powerful for him, which is exactly what he wanted. The arrows started shedding fletches the very first time he tried them. And the finger grip is little better than stiff paper.

Nonetheless, for the money, this is a good buy.

  2. It's strong, gives you the feeling that you're looking for if you're not after a toy. Best range 15 feet, after that it becomes a toy. Within that range you don't invest much ($) and you feel totally rewarded. It comes with 2 arrows, buy more because you'll lose weight going back and forth to collect the arrows.

  3. The bow is great, but the accessories are lacking and it comes with only 2 arrows. If you choose to buy this product, be sure to buy extra arrows with it so that you will not run out.

  4. This bow is a great find for my teenage son. He is able to handle it and use it. I think a younger child might have a bit difficult time with it. The bow is very duarble and the same with the arrows. He has spent many hours in the snow with it already. For the size and the tension on the bow I would recommend it for older kids who would like to learn archery.

  5. I bought two Bear Cherokee Bow Sets as Xmas gifts. I bought them for my 17 and 11 year-old sons.

We have an archery range near our town. I would not, under any circumstances, allow boys or teens to use this set unsupervised in a suburban neighborhood. These bow sets are not "toys".

The bows are just what I had hoped they would be. These are not "little kid's" bows. If I were buying just for myself, with 40 years of occasional archery experience, I might have bought a bow with stronger pull. But these were just right for growing boys. My older son can use his bow to full effect now. My younger son has some room to grow with his bow ... it is neither too big nor heavy in the draw for him to use now, but he will get progressively more out of the bow in the coming years.

The sets come with a wrist guard, which is a necessary accessory. The finger-grip may or may not be useful to you. The quiver is fun for a kid, but not entirely usefull if you are a serious archer.

The arrows ... well, you'll need more arrows anyways, but these arrows are frankly a dissappointment. Look for arrows that are 2 or 4 inches longer to get a full draw on the bow, and more importantly look for arrows that have genuine feather fletchings, as the sheet plastic fletchings of these arrows don't compress as the arrow passes the guide, causing the rear of the arrow to pitch sideways as it comes off the bow, greatly reducing the arrow's range and accuracy.

I bought a set of a dozen 28" cedar arrows with turkey-feather fletchings to go with the bow sets, and I am very pleased with the results.

It was a good gift purchase, well appreciated by my sons. I am fully satisfied.

  1. THIS BOW SUCKS IT WENT LIKE 10 FEET THE FIRST TIME I SHOT IT I WAS EXPECTING MORE !!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I bought this bow set for my little brother thinking it would nice and strong,
It was'nt. The shipping time is good. When it arrived I assumed it would shoot way more than 20 feet, even after I tightened it as hard as I could. You get what is on the picture, it looks good but is way to weak and the sticker was half on the bow, there is no reason to even sell a bow this weak. When I was a kid our homemade bows where at least ten times stronger. I should of gave him $50 instead of wasting it. You would be lucky to penetrate cardboard, assuming you hit it becouse the arrows tends to fly towards the floor.

  3. We bought this for our 10 year old for his birthday. He had been shooting homemade bows... cheapy nerf suction cup bows, and we thought it time for a graduation to a "real bow". This delivered in every area. Not only does it look wonderful and grown up to him, it shoots very well too. We bought the extra arrows that are recommeneded at checkout, and he has been shooting it every day since we got it. He LOVES it.. and it is a great buy. Highly Recommended.

  4. In spite of the one negative review, I went ahead and purchased this. Good deal! Very nice bow--sturdy.

  5. I got this set for my kids (9 & 7) who had shot arrows at Cub Scout camp. This set is a complete waste of money. An arrow shot from this bow has a maximum range of no more than 15 feet. At that distance the arrow will sometimes penatrate a cardboard target. An "arrow holder" attached to the bow lasted for about 3 or 4 arrows before it fell off. I wanted to give my kids an archery set that they could practice with and instead got junk. I would have done better finding an old stick and a shoe string. Don't waste your time and money with this set.

  1. I bought this as a gift for someone just starting out in archery. Shipment and delivery were prompt.

  2. The perfect quiver for me. Not too big, but will probably hold at least 24 arrows if need be. I used a leather hole punch to punch extra holes in the sling (I'm slender), and cut the excess leather off same. It now fits perfectly, and I can grab an arrow instinctively. I would highly recommend this quiver.

  3. -This is a great addition to my arsenal of fun. I currently have 17 35/50 arrowas in it and could probably fit another dozen should I ever need that many. It lay secure accross either shoulder and looks really nice overall. I suspect it will hold up for years of use.

  1. The case seems to be well made. The four latches, pillar system and locking areas work good. Very large outside deminsions. However, inside, my Hoyt (41") will barely fit. I'll need to pad the ends of the bow for future shipping. Additional tie-downs would be of benefit also because my quiver must be detached to close the case and the arrows don't stay secured during shipping. Overall, I'm pleased with this case.

  2. This seems to be a great case for the money. It's got tons of storage and should fit about any bow. The only negative thing I can think of would be its BIG. It works for me though, and I'd rather have too big than too small. You just can't go wrong for the price!!!

  3. I bought this case for my PSE Nova hunter 70 pound compound bow. The case has thick padding inside to protect your bow and arrows. It also has extra storage for anything from vanes to broadheads. It has three adjustable velcro straps to keep your bow tightly in place during transportation. It is worth the $40 and is made in the USA!

  4. Excellent quality case for the money. Holds the bow securly, has space for 12 arrows and has plenty of room for storage of accessory items. Won't work on most bows with ATA longer than 37". I have a Ross 337 and it will just fit in this case.
