1. Benjamin 397 air rifle - POOR QUALITY!
   A SINGLE SCREW HOLDS THE WOOD STOCK TO THE METAL RIFLE. IT IS JUST
   IN FRONT OF THE TRIGGER GUARD. THE METAL RIFLE IS NOT SLOTTED OR
   HOOKED INTO THE WOOD STOCK IN ANY WAY. WHEN YOU PUMP THE RIFLE THE
   SCREW IS STRESSED AND IN MY CASE STRIPPED OUT THE FIRST DAY. IT IS
   WORTHLESS - SOMEONE SHOULD GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. HOWEVER, I HAVE BEEN TOO BUSY TO PACK AND SEND IT BACK AND LIKELY WILL NOT.



2. I owned this pellet gun as a child. I learned to make my first shot count, since it was a single shot. As a boy of tweleve, this was my most prised possession. I am purchasing another, since I lost this one as a child.
   
   I was an "Expert Marksman" in the Army Marksmanship course, and I owe this all to this gun.



3. Bought this at a local hardware store. It seems to be a good value for the dollars with a firm but clean trigger, nice wooden stock and metal open sights. It is more accurate "out of the box" than other rifles I used lately. Good finish for the metal parts and wooden stock which is dark stained with an open grain style finish. Pumps from 1 to 8 and has very little recoil at 8. The bolt and breech is open and easy loading. The trigger had 6 pounds of clean pull on my Winchester spring pull. Plastic butt plate, needs rubber which should give better grip. Cleaned the barrel and fired about 20 rounds to get into the black. Pump effort goes up after three pumps and continues to increase to 8. Overall length is shorter than normal but stock to trigger distance is about the same. Good value, easy to learn and seems to be very reliable. No parts diagram or parts information provided. Has a "child safety lock" made of plastic that was difficult to remove and went from rifle to trash. Scope is more complex because of no "dovetail" and requires specific scope adapter from rifle manufacturer.

1. This was my first airsoft gun. Considering the price I still tracked down as many reviews on this gun as I could before I bought, I didn't want to get a real crappy springer. Anyway, gun is awesome for a cheap springer. Great for skirmishes in the backyard and plinking. It has enough power to let you know when you're hit. I don't know about carrying it is a sidearm since it's the usual one shot at a time. The slide is very smooth though and I've gotten pretty good with letting the rounds fly pretty fast.
   
   Bottom line...awesome gun to start with and even for a big time airsoft player, it's a fun gun to play around with.



2. I gave it 3 stars because i got mine from a cigar shop. they usually have cheap guns. this gun ( from the cigar shop) was bad. i went about 15 feet or so before diving down. once i had my 2 friends over and i had only 3 guns, 1 of those was the pistol. i ended up just putting the gun away and tackling my friend ( it worked!). I opened it up to figure the gun was broken. only minor though, all i did was put a peice back in place. It shot about maybe 50 feet then



3. It is a good gun for the price. It hurts and relable. Great for beginers



4. The Goggles are useless but the gun is great. It was my first and still works. It is cheap and that is good as well.



5. This is an ok gun...... it is somewhat acurate at 1-30 feet then it curves hard to the right or left. It is a good rescue gun or good for chasing somebody. I wouldnt recomend this for beginers though because the shooter has to take into acount the amount to shoot to the targets sides in order for the bb to curve into it..... i give it 3 stars
