5 comments about Ironman Sit-Up Bar.
- I bought this and since then have done 100 sit ups daily, makes it alot easier, only thing is, better invest in a good exercise mat, for the rug BURN
- Maybe it's just me, but I found this next to useless if you aren't wearing shoes. As you can tell from the picture, the footbar can be secured in one of three positions over your feet. However if you're in bare feet or don't wear your shoes indoor like in my house, I found that even the lowest setting is still too "high," meaning it is still too far away from the door/floor and doesn't hold your feet down firmly at all. I tried using it a few times and have gone back to just sticking my toes under the couch.
- This is a VERY simple and in-expensive way to assist in your daily excercise routines. Large rooms filled with expensive equipment is not needed. ALL you need is a door in your house that has at least 6' of space directly in front of it for performing your sit-up routines. I use a very thick excercise mat with mine and several excercise routines come with the sit-up bar. It's GREAT for working on that flabby mid section that we ALL wish looked like those people who sell the EXPENSIVE infomercial machines look !!!
- This situp bar doesn't have any bells and whistles but it does exactly what it is supposed to do and for that I give it 5 stars.
- It performs as expected without any bells and whistles. Other similar brands perform just as well.

5 comments about Slendertone Flex Pro Male Abdominal Toning System.
- A product is only as good as it's instruction booklet. Works fine, but not as stated in ads or on box. It is supposed to automatically jump from program to program increasing the power as it goes. It dosen't. The power must be reset each time it's turned on. The book dosen't say how to get it to do that.
- After using this device for over a month, I find it to be an excellent device to relax abdominal muscles after a workout session. As for losing weight or gaining muscles, I cannot speak to that, only offer some of my observations.
This device does an excellent job in relaxing muscles. It contracts and relaxes a group of muscles repeatedly over a predefined period of time. I have a workout routine which involves a lot of bicycle crunches and planks. After each workout, my ab muscles would be very tight and uncomfortable. Before getting the Slendertone Flex Pro, I used to lean back and side ways to stretch those muscles. However, I have lower back problems, and stretching as described usually puts too much pressure on my lower back. In fact, once in a while, I would actually pull my back muscles by doing that.
With this device, I simply strap it on for 30 minutes, and my ab muscles would be fully stretched without risking hurting my back. In the medical field, patients with muscle problems are sometimes treated with electronic muscle stimulation machines. This concept has been in use for decades, and could be very effective. I purchased this device specifically for this purpose, that's why I am giving it five stars.
I cannot speak to the effectiveness of this machine on losing weight and gaining muscles, but here are my observations. I have a very well defined 6-pack as well as surrounding muscle groups, and exercise regularly. After using the Slendertone Flex Pro, I don't think it would be able to help me build muscles. The reason is simple: even on the highest program level (7) and the highest intensity level (99), the contraction achieved by my ab muscles is only about 50% of what I would get if I were doing bicycle crunches. While that is perfect for relaxing tense muscle groups, I don't think it will do much good for gaining muscles; but I could be wrong since I have only used it for a month.
As for losing weight, I doubt this machine can help you achieve that. While I am not a doctor nor personal trainer, I understand the basics of the human body. In order to lose weight, the body must burn more energy than the amount supplied, i.e. through eating or drinking. Even on the highest setting (program 7, level 99), I could easily fall asleep with it on. The device does not stress my muscles at all - this is exactly why I find it perfect for relaxing muscles. Just like stretching probably won't make you lose weight, this device probably won't either. For more in depth analysis on point, google "EMS weight loss."
Some reviewers disliked the gel pads and the battery life. I always take a shower right before I put the device on, peel off the covers carefully, lay them face up, and put them back on the pads immediately after use. After 30 sessions (one per day), the pads are still in very good shape and are not in need of replacing any time soon. As for the batteries, I turn the device off as soon as I finish a session. So far, the device is still showing full battery power.
The only thing I think could be improved is the Velcro. I have a 29" waist. The two halves of the strap almost miss each other completely when tightened. I had to sew on my own Velcro to keep the device secure.
Overall, I think this device is excellent for relaxing muscles, but probably should not be marketed as a "toning" system.
- This is a good replacement for crunches. I've been using it for a month, everyday, with good results and no pad problem.
- How many times is this product going to be marketed as a toning machine. I actually bought a similar product and it contracted my abs and it felt like it was doing something. The next day after I used the machine it felt like I had done 1000 crunches and my abs were so sore. After a week of use the soreness went away but my abs didn't show any toning. I kept it up because the machine cost more than a hundred dollars and I wanted to believe I didn't get ripped off; $100 is a lot of money for something that doesn't work. Unfortunately the promises of a six pack never emerged. This machine is great for physical conditioning of muscles but it doesn't develop them. Your going to need to lose weight in order to see the six packs and this machine can't bring out the muscle through the fat. People don't waste your money; I've already done that for you. Exercise instead and eat better, cut back on carbohydrates especially. There is no easy way to lose weight and trim the waist.
- This product is good for what it's designed for. That is to say that it is not some sort of weight loss miracle, but is a good unit for putting your core muscles through some daily exercise.
The only downside is the pads tend to burn out pretty quick. Even the batteries last longer, but that aside a very good unit overall.

5 comments about SPRI Door Pull Up Bar Exerciser ~ The Ultimate Home Gym.
- I bought this about last week...it was exactly as it described and the shipping was very fast i would reccommend going through these guys again.
- This pull up bar is exactly what I expected when I was looking for a telescopic bar. My only problem is that the doorframe to my room is too weak, so it cracked a little. Other than that, the bar works exactly like it was supposed to.
- Easy to install, decent item. Only complaint is that the foam hand grips don't move so if you want to grip them when using it, you have to be off center. The bigger the doorway, the farther to the side you'll be, which feels a little odd.
- Amazon's description of this product is incorrect. I specifically purchased this chin-up bar because I wanted one that could fit a 24" doorway. The bar is not even close to 24" even when you remove the necessary rubber stoppers. You will need wider than a 26" doorway to realistically be able to use this bar.
The package only comes with 1 set of mounting discs and a single screw to hold those in place, but the bar feels secure even without using the mounting discs. There are no instructions on how to properly install this bar, so I will just tell you that you need to first extend the bar approximately to the doorway size then while it is aligned in the doorway you need to tighten from the center grips not the end part. This pull up bar only extends from one end so the grips will most likely be off center when you use it. The package says the bar can support up to 220lbs. This product is made in Taiwan.
Overall I'd say the bar works well if you have the right size doorway, but I have some concerns about the long term safety. When you do certain pull ups your feet naturally swing out a little in front meaning if the bar comes undone you're going to land on your back. Even if the bar itself doesn't give way the molding or paint on a wood doorway could easily crack given enough force.
- I needed this bar to fit in my hallway which measures 37.5 inches. Since this product description mentions that it fits 24-39 inches i thought i found what i needed. However once i received it and try to spread it to its max width i realized that the top width it can fit is roughly 36 inches and even then it would be a little wobbly. Other then that the bar is nothing special, the hand grips limit where you can grip the bar and unless you have steel door frames, jaming it using pressure separated and cracked my door frame. Also it came with no installation instructions whats so ever.

5 comments about 6 Second Abs - Ab Crunch Machine w/ DVD.
- Go with this product and you wont be sorry!!!
I purchased this product two years ago from AS SEEN ON TV and paid full price.I was super exited when i saw it on Amazon for 19 $
I have never had abs in my life, until i started using this machine.Yes it does look like a toy,yes it is made of plastic,but....if you want perfect easy abs, this is the product to go with. You can crunch on it while sitting on the sofa watching tv.After 50 or so crunches you will definitelly feel the burn in your lower stomach. It helped me and i know it will help you.Just dont give up!!
- It is a Whole Program, not just a machine. This unique program gives you faster and better results with less work., It combins healthy nutrition with exercise.
The DVD contains three ab workouts:the basic workout, the intermediate, and the advanced, so you can easly start and adjust your workout according to uour specific situation.
I have achieved a great improvement within the first week.
- I have a bad back so am unable to do weighted crunches and don't think it's worth the risk to do ordinary crunches, but at my age and beer consumption my abs need some help. The 6 second abs machine is plastic and feels like it might break at any minute. But it is doing something! I can only manage the two weaker bands at the moment, but can certainly feel the effect of doing a workout. Hopefully I will be able to progress up to using the stronger bands, and hopefully the work out will have some effect on flattening my "bulge". I have only been using the machine for a few days now, so I'll let you know - how I last and how it lasts. At the moment I feel that if it breaks I will buy another one, I'll let you know if I change my mind.....
- Quality is absolutely miserable. Plastic, poorly made.
The theory is good, and if you lie on your back while using the machine, the resistance levels are acceptable even without buying the extra tubes. Seated resistance levels are a joke, however - a complete waste of time.
My biggest beef - the tubes lasted a couple of months before the heads snapped off on all four they provided. No response from customer service - and worse, replacement bands are not available.
If I had to do it over again, i would certainly just do proper crunches, and not waste 60 bucks.
- There are a lot of theoretically good ideas that fail when executed. This is one of them. 1/QUALITY:It's made cheaply, and even before it breaks, it's flimsiness does not inspire confidence. 2/RESISTANCE:The levels of resistance have nothing to do with real progression , as anyone who 'seriously' uses this will be too strong for the machine in a few weeks,(many will be unchallenged right from the beginning). The standard: If the set is longer than a minute and you still have strength to continue, you need more resistance. 3/COMPARED TO CRUNCHES: There's a reason why crunches are done lying down: The weight of the torso supplies a fairly heavy resistance, whereas when you crunch in an uptight position the weight of the torso actually helps the effort, as you are dropping your weight down instead of lifting it up. Much of what makes the Ab Crunch Machine 'work' is your weight dropping on it, not your muscles working. This little piece of plastic doesn't have springs strong enough to resist your bodyweight and strengthen your muscles besides. (You may achieve an isometric contraction that has some effect, but you can get -exactly- this effect, or -better-, without any equipment at all! Just tense up in seated crunch position for minute or so.)... Of course, by the time a product is appealing to the public by claiming how supposedly -huge- a hassle lying down (??) to do crunches is, we've reached the real problem: This thing is designed to AVOID EFFORT. It seems as though no one goes broke helping people avoid effort. Unfortunately, exercise IS effort, and the more you avoid effort, the less exercise you get.

5 comments about Flex Master Ab Rocket Attachment.
- The Flexmaster is great!!! What's great about it??
Well it has adjustable resistance cords that won't break at all. You can individually adjust each cord's resistance (usually you can't adjust resistance bands). You can work your arms, chest, legs, back, etc.... You can feel the burn as you use them. And you aren't going to get injured like you can with weights.
- AB ROCKET WON'T HONOR THIS PRODUCT IF YOU PURCHASE IT FROM AMAZON.COM!!! The item broke less than 3 months after purchase and AB rocket won't honor the 3 year warranty that it says it comes with. Ab Rocket customer service is the WORST customer service I've ever dealt with. They don't speak English, they are RUDE and they won't hardly speak with you unless you give them your Credit Card Number First!
- I bought this as an attachment for the ab rocket which I love. I found this to be OK but I could do a better job with hand weights.
- Not worth it. Actually would like to return the product if still possible. The Ab Rocket I very much like. The add on is terrible and does not come with complete instructions on how to use it for all parts of your body. This piece of equipment is not worth ten dollors let alone $60 plus.
- With the Flex Master Ab rocket attachment I was able to straighten the upper part of my body. My arms aren't as flabby as they where and i am able to to wear tops that i wouldn't have worn before. Its has been a great tool in helping me loose some of the fat around my arms.

5 comments about GoFit On A Roll Dual Exercise Wheel.
- I find this wheel very flimsy and unstable. The wheel fits too loosely on the tube. Sure it's one of the cheapest available, but the price difference with others is very small. If I had the opportunity, I would spend an extra $10 for a (hopefully) more sturdy product. Still, it does the job.
- Good:
- Affordable.
- Padded handles are great. They provide a nice grip.
- The wheel if very light.
- It's small and easy to store.
Bad:
- Assembly was not so easy... it was a lot of strenght involved in order to make pieces fit "all the way".
- I don't like that the wheel is plastic.
- What is really missing is that this model does not have a spring which will help you go back to original position. You need to use your own muscles to get back, and this puts much strain on the back.
- Wheel seems not to be very well "greased", so you need to put much strenght in order to push/pull yourself.
My husband and me used it few times, but found that instead of good workout, we end up with back pains... so we are not using it any more.
Now I'm sorry that I choose this one... I wish I went for one of better quality excercise wheels.
- Having heard about "abs wheels" for years, I'd tried simulating the result with an dumbell, and while I loved the burn I found it too rough on my hands to do regularly. Fast forward some years and girth after an auto accident. . .I was attracted to this GoFit model because of the padded handles, which are in fact quite comfortable. It's an incredibly effective workout, easily comparable to a real roman chair, and as adaptable to one's increasing abilities. I find it convenient to leave mine in front of the television and find that I use it almost daily. Even my wife and 2 year old son have taken an interest. . . We have a carpet on the floor, which I'd recommend if you're doing this exercise from a kneeling position. I can see where the plastic wheel might be a problem on a hard floor (use a towel or pad for knees!), but otherwise would take this over any of the other models offered. For the money it's a terrific value.
- The wheels on this thing are PLASTIC! I was hoping at the very least that the treads would be rubberized.
The two wheels flop around together in the middle, and my hands barely fit onto the grips, which are way too narrow. The whole thing feels entirely flimsy and inspires no confidence or delight in exercise whatsoever.
Total piece of trash.
I suppose it still does the same job as anything else, but come on. A little quality is all I ask.
B
- youve never felt a burn like this I use it on top of my regular routine, abs burst thru the skin ...

3 comments about Slendertone Flex Bottom and Thigh Toning System Shorts.
- I was unable to use this product and returned it after a few days. Although the shorts did fit me, the pads were difficult to maneuver once I turned the battery pack on. Also it was difficult to remove the entire unit. I have another Slendertone product, and am extremely happy with it. More important Slendertone customer service are professional and accommodating. They were courteous and helped me return the product and the extra
gel pads.
- A little hard to get pads situated and difficult to take off. Otherwise a good product.
- I purchased the slendertone shorts and waist belt. They are both excellent products and just after using them a few days I can tell a difference in my waist, abdomen, thighs. I would purchase them again knowing how they work so well. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs to firm up. I am a 56 year old woman and can use all the help I can get in this area.

3 comments about Ab Lounge Sport.
- Many people are looking for the fastest and easiest way to get into shape and to stay in shape. There are lots of products out there, but not all of them live up to what they say they will do. The Ab Lounge Sport is not one of those products. The Ab Lounge Sport is an exercise chair that promises great abdominals with minimal effort and time. Today, there are thousands of abdominal machines and workouts on the market, but none will give the results that the Ab Lounge Sport does. The Ab Lounge Sport is easy to setup and use, takes minimal time and effort, is of great build quality, and gives amazing results.
The first thing that I look for in exercise equipment is an easy and fast set-up. Anything that is going to take me more than an hour to set up, I will not bother buying. Second, I look for the quality of the product. If the product is made very cheaply, then I assume it will not last long, and I would rather have something that lasts for years. Third, I look for how easy it is to use. If I cannot understand how to use it just by looking at it, I usually will not buy it. Finally, I look for how much effort and time the exercise equipment will take. If it takes hours of working out and does not show amazing results quickly, then I do not think it is worth it. I want a product that takes at most 30 minutes a day and will show results within the first two weeks.
The setup for the Ab Lounge Sport is very simplistic, if one can follow directions. All of the parts are shipped in one big box containing about 9 pieces. There is also an instruction manual and all of the materials needed to put the equipment together, except a screwdriver. The setup of the whole chair takes only about one hour. The only problem I ran into was that this chair does not fold easily for storage. It claims in the description that it does fold easily for storage, but it does not. I think that was a mistake; the Ab Lounge 2 folds, but not this model. However, this was not a big problem because I leave it in a storage room and sometimes use it as a normal chair.
For such an efficient low cost, one would be surprised at the magnificent quality of the parts of the Ab Lounge Sport. First, there are the supporting poles, which are made of steel and will hold up to 275 pounds. This has been tested - my grandfather weighs close to that and he did not break it, so I truly believe it holds 275 pounds. Second, the base of the chair is made of a blue canvas material. The canvas material is very sturdy, yet very flexible and comfortable. It is so comfortable that one could just use the Ab Lounge Sport as a chair. However, it is rather hard to take the cloth material off the chair to clean, so it is recommended that one uses a disinfectant spray before and after each exercise. Third, there is a strong piece of elastic at the top of the chair for your hands to hold on to when using the Ab Lounge Sport. The elastic is much easier and more comfortable to hold on to than a metal bar, like most exercise equipment. For example, the Powertec Workbench Ab Bench Plus has a metal bar for support and costs almost three times as much. Finally, there is a padded metal bar at the end of the chair for your feet. The padding is extremely soft so that shoes do not have to be on when using the Ab Lounge Sport. The chair is also adjustable so that it can fit anyone, no matter their height. All of these parts are extremely well built and come with a 90-day warranty, which is nice, but I doubt it will be needed.
When looking at the Ab Lounge Sport, one would not think that it would do very much, but it does. It is very easy to use and takes minimal effort compared to regular crunches or sit-ups. One just simply lies back in the chair, holds on to the elastic and does a jackknife motion. After doing about 10 or 20 crunches, depending on how strong your abdominals are, you will start to feel a burn in your abdominals. However, you do not feel near as worn out as doing regular crunches and sit-ups. Also, there is no pain in your lower back or neck because they are fully supported. You may think that is all you can do with the chair, but there is much more. The Ab Lounge Sport also can be extended backwards creating more work on the abdominals, so if the regular crunch is too easy, then your body can be extended to make the exercise more strenuous. This makes it so that anyone can use the Ab Lounge Sport, from someone who has toned abdominals, to someone who has very weak abdominal muscles. The variety of the Ab Lounge Sport is a huge plus because anyone in the house can use this chair, young or old. There are many other ways to use the Ab Lounge Sport, and they are all included in an instruction booklet and workout DVD. I used the Ab Lounge Sport for 15 minutes once a day, for about two weeks, and already noticed toned abdominals. I also noticed my love handles were disappearing. This took very little time and a fourth of the effort it would have taken to do regular crunches and sit-ups.
When purchasing the Ab Lounge Sport one receives a workout DVD, instruction booklet, and healthy eating guide. The workout DVD is very informative. It has several planned workouts and shows you specific ways to target different regions of your abdominals. The instruction booklet is the fast version of how to learn how to use the Ab Lounge Sport. It shows you the basic way to target all the different regions of your abdominals. The healthy eating guide includes tips on how to lose weight using the Ab Lounge Sport and also includes healthy recipes. This is a great addition for people who are trying to lose weight.
Overall, my family and I were very pleased with the Ab Lounge Sport. It gave great results with minimal time and effort. The Ab Lounge Sport is very cost efficient at $129.99, but still offers great quality. We have had ours for almost two years and it is still in excellent condition. The Ab Lounge Sport is great for anybody looking to tone their abdominals quickly, without having to put in a lot of hard work. I would rate this product as 4 stars.
- Difficult assembly - directions can be confusing. Otherwise, not bad for a great ab workout.
- This little lounger is a great way to exercise and watch t.v. or listen to music. It is the BEST way to do painless (even COMFORTABLE)sit-ups. I even use it as an inversion table in the reverse-stretch position. I paid $150. for this, including shipping and was really disappointed to find it at the local Linens and Things for 79.99. I'm not so young, and the idea of disassembling, packing and returning was just too much for me. I must also say...it was heck to assemble. I did it in a couple of sittings. BUT WORTH IT ! You won't be sorry. Wish that it came in choices of colors and base designs. I'd love to have it as a permanent fixture in my living room. To make it look a little "homier" , I added a faux lamb's rug to cover the seat. Also makes for warm, soft, cozy exercising.

5 comments about Apex Roman/Hyper Extension Bench.
- Regardless of price, the Apex Roman/Hyperextension Bench is an excellent product. Made from high grade materials that give it a commercial gym feel. Went together easily with adequate instructions and all parts were present. No need to spend more on a product of this type. Highly recommended
- I bought this product because a friend recommended it to me. We both were having lower back pain problems. I've been using it now for about 4 weeks, and it works great. At first it looks like there's not much to it or something's missing. The workout is almost exclusively for your lower back. My friend bought one after having problems with a sciatic nerve. I was worried I was going to have the same issues. I use it twice daily. I do 15 reps in the morning before work and 15 more before going to bed. A total of about 10 minutes. It's great.
- This does just what I need it to: allows me to exercise my lower back. I find it to be plenty stable; haven't had a single problem. I have also been using it for biceps curls: Holding a dumbbell in each hand, stand in front of the bench, crouch with your chest against the the pad, rest your triceps on the flat part of the pad, and do curls. This isolates the biceps and eliminates back strain.
- Have not been able to use it since it arrived missing the most important piece, the adjustment knob. Without that piece, you could fall and hurt yourself because that is needed to balance your feet. Backordered from Chine more than a month ago......
- Good solid value for the money. The chair is suprisingly stable and is a good piece for a home gym. The pading could have been alittle thicker but overall a good value.
