1. I'm no musician, but I bought this and the CD containing these songs for my brother, who has been learning to play many old standards from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. He thought it was a great Christmas gift; he's really enjoying it!

1. A must for all Parrothead and Key West lovers! Even for non-Buffet fans, good insights on other artists that influenced Jimmy including writers, great folk and country singers. Uses lots of unique media to set the mood--postcards, photos, album art, vintage paperback covers and illustrations. Lots of my friends wish the Publisher would have made a bigger printing or would re-release this book. This book captures the spirit of the Jimmy Buffet experience.



2. Who doesn't look at their high school yearbook and reminesce? If you've been to many Buffett concerts or attended any of his events, this is a fun look back. Being a Parrothead for most of my life, this is my coffee table book!! Would only be better if Buffett wrote it himself.

4. This book is full of great pictures and in my opinion is the best book for Tropical music / Buffett researchers that you can obtain. Very interesting and insightful. I loved this book! ...the real Jimmy Buffett. A fun book!

1. Because this has Jimmy it I loved it. But it not his usual work. I enjoy all of Jimmy's work. He always puts me in the mood for a great day!

   I ordered this to read, I thought. But it is a song book with sheet music for playing songs from it. I don't play any instruments so I had to pass in on to my daughter's companion. I haven't heard if is playing anything from it.

1. The seller sold it to me as a book for reading. I was going to take it to Cancun, What I got was a song book. Not a book for reading. All in all it was okay to read, however, Not a book to take on vacation.

1. Good selection of some of JB's best songs. If you enjoy his music and play the guitar, you'll enjoy this book.

3. I made the mistake of ordering both. Not completely the same, but pretty darn close. The Ultimate Collection is ALL YOU NEED! I'll probably try to sell this one on Ebay or something. I sure wish there'd been a review like mine to help me make the decision.

1. This is a fine book. Many of the somgs can be found in other places, but not all. The transcription is done well. If you are a Parrot Head and have a guitar, keyboard, or piano, you need this book. Well worth the money



2. A great songbook of great Jimmy Buffett songs. It has every song on the album, including the songs Jimmy did not write (Brown Eyed Girl; Everybody's Talkin'. I'd been looking for the sheet music of Everybody's Talkin' for awhile, and when I saw it was included, I bought it). Many similar songbooks of albums are not as complete as this one.
   
   The format is chord names and guitar chord diagrams on top, then a treble clef and bass clef for piano, and lyrics. Many of the songs have tempo notes. For guitarists, there is no tab if it's what you're looking for. As a guitarist, I'll get over it, but I wish Amazon's "see inside this book" feature would show at least one page of the actual sheet music, so a buyer has a better idea of what they're buying.



3. the lyrics in this book are the same as what you hear on the album,which is what i want since there are a few changes from the originals.the only complaint i have is the physical condition of the book.the cover fell off as soon as i tookit out of the package and the binding glue feels and looks fragile.

1. This is an interesting diversion. I mean a trivia quiz book is never going to be a great read, but this is fun. It is especially interesting to take on that road trip to the concert to quiz each other. Or, use it in your local parrot head club to weed out those who just "wanna-be" versus those who are!



2. I think that Thomas Ryan has been a fan since the very beginning of Jimmy Buffett's career. This is a lot information that I don't know about Buffett, at least the very early stuff. We do have the albums, but who really cares about every single specific detail of every song and it's production on every single Buffett album? I know I am probably taking this far too seriously, but when I did a few of the quizzes in the beginning of the book(I don't know the early stuff that well, I like it, but don't know who Carmen was dancing with). I failed miserably and it just upset me.
   I have been a fan of Buffett since I met my husband ten years ago. I have really learned to totally appreciate his music, and he is one of my favorite musicians. I have seen him in concert eight times! I have a blast at the concert, and just because I failed Ryan's quizzes doesn't make me a non parrotthead. I think he must have a lot of time on his hands to learn all these stupid little details.
   That aside, it's interesting to learn more about THE MAN.
   My husband bought this, not me. I just tried to pass the quizzes and failed miserably at the first three. I gave up after that. I am a Parrotthead. I don't care what this book says!
   I think if you've been a fan since his early days, you will do amazingly well at these trivia questions.
   I know it's just a trivia book; I just don't think it justifies who is and isn't a real Parrothead.
   FINS UP!



3. Great book for all ParrottHeads! We knew most of the trivia presented in this book, but still LOVED reading it! Enjoy!
