- Although it's considered by many critics to be the worst outing by the Seattle area grunge band, I personally believe it's one of my favorites. The songs may not be as tight as on "Dirt," but groundwork for what would become Alice in Chains is evident in the guitar tab here. Songs like "Man in the Box" shine through and compliment the drudging rockers like "We Die Young" perfectly. This book is tabbed out fairly well, and serves as a nice addition for anyone wanting to take a look at the guitar style of Jerry Cantrell.
- After getting hosed on the internet by people claiming to have perfect pitch then tabbing out something totally off key, this book is a ray of light in a world of internet tone deafness.

- Hey well I know this is cheesy writing a review for a AIC's Tableture book, but I went through it and it really was easy to figure out and do all the chords and riffs and stuff. The book is made for those with some guitar experience but you don't have to be a master mind at it or anything like that.

- This book is a must have for Alice n' chains fans. Very accurate. Good buy!
- Alice in Chains proved to be one of the most influencial bands of the Grunge era of music, and this book helps show you why! A spectacular array of well written and tight songs are displayed in a format that is easy to read and understand. Anyone looking to play something new should give this book a try. It's highly recommended for all levels of playing experience. Even if you're a beginner, you'll be playing "Rooster" in no time!

- As a very huge Alice fan, I think that this is a necessity for any person wanting to complete a memorobilia collection by the band. But for those who can make use of this book (it's demeaning to call this anything short of "a work of art") then this book is definately for you. I would have to say that even the guitarist just starting out would have a field day in this book, due to it's simplicity and content. It wasn't hard for me to learn the entire thing in a week, it's just that simple. And it's also hard to comprehend some of the strums, the synchronized playing (if with two guitarists, that's the way the book is written) but the old credo "practice makes perfect" comes into play there. I give a high rating to this song folio due to it's layout, simplicity, correct tabbing, and the addition of the bonus track (killer is me) which most artists would not do in many circumstances. Every song in here matches the Unplugged cd (I've checked) and each song in here is correct. I suggest this songbook to any guitarist that wants to know how to play something new, but mainly i recommend this to the guitarist who wants to play something fun, trust me, you can have a very enjoyable expirience learning something light like this. If your first impulse is to buy this thing, go for it, because you will not be let down at all.
- Not only an awesome cd and music video, but an excellent addition to a guitarist's repertoire, naturally. Although requires more of an advanced level (atleast not just starting out) of guitar playing to play through flawlessly like Cantrell, this is also good for beginner's to "get better" (of course with right practice), once you learn atleast 5 songs out of this book, you'll be hooked on playing everything by AIC. Very soulful music, especially Nutshell and Over Now. Cantrell Rocks!!! (so does the studio musician-guitarist 2)
