1. I got one of these, and found that putting it on the skis was a pain. You have to thread the velcro strap through a small slot, fold it back over, then latch down the whole unit. It's not too bad to do it by hand at the beginning of the day, but you'll have to take your gloves off to do it at the end of the day.
   
   Once this unit is attached, you can carry them using your poles as the top part of the handle. The poles I had when I purchased the unit fit pretty well, but when I replaced them with some not-quite-round poles, the fit was very loose and the provided sizers were of no help.
   
   Carrying works well if you can attach the unit to the center of balance on your skis. If that point is near your bindings, you can't. The width of the carrier means that the middle of it won't line up with the center and the skis are a little off balance.
   
   I finally gave up after I dropped my skis while carrying them. The plastic unit on the top broke off, rendering the carrier useless. I will have to replace it with something else.



2. I have had this carrier for years. I have a ski condo now and dont use it much. I took it out today and the bar that the velcro fits through broke off. I am going to replace it because I love it. I tried other years ago-maybe there is something better now, and nothing worked as well. I wish it was better made. There is a bar the velcro fits through and with it broken the unit is useless. The idea, wrap a fabric around the ski and use the poles as the handle is perfect. Other reviews said some poles did not fit, all 5 pairs my family has fit fine.
