  1. I got these for my husband whose a tank wagon driver delivering fuel throughout the winter months in Iowa, he tried them out and was very disappointed! He said that they shifted in his boots and wouldn't stay in place on top of just not working to keep his feet warm. It hasn't been an extremly cold winter but it's cold enough for him when he has to be in cold most of the day. He definetly doesn't recommend these and suggests that you don't waste your money trying this method out!

  2. These are similar to inserts that are found in good quality winter boots (especially this made in Canada).

They are very thin and stick to the underside of your existing innersole.

I put them in shoes I already wear in the winter (here in Chicago) and could definitely feel an improvement.

  3. These foot warmers are a joke! They are overpriced for what they are...If they worked it would be ok but they dont work. They also came off & got all crimpped up in less than 2 weeks. These things are junk!!!

  1. I'm a little disappointed in this dryer. I use it for ski boots that get almost daily use. A dryer with heated air would be more effective. It's also quite noisy, and lacks a timer. Though it can't use much power, I wish it would turn itself off after several hours' use. it gets the job done, but spending another $10 would have been money well spent to get heated air and a timer. There are better options out there. The 12v power would let you run it from a car, motor home, or boat, whcih may be useful to some people.

  2. Excellent for drying boots and gloves, however be sure to have it in a different room, it runs a little loud. Almost too loud- makes it less convenient.

  3. If you plan to use this thing in your hotel room at night to dry boots or gloves, better pack earplugs also!

It blows cool air into the boots and dries eventually. Have used it with the AC adapter, expect the batteries would not last too long and make the until quite heavy.

  4. We recently took this dryer on our family ski vacation and it performed well. It comes with both a/c and d/c cords and takes batteries as well although I can't imagine ever using that feature. It packs away compactly in a ski bag or luggage.

  5. Really love having a battery operated ski boot dryer - I have fashioned a sling of sorts that hangs in my locker at Mammoth Mountain and position my ski boots above my skis in the locker and then turn on the boot dryer and let it run all night and I have dry boots for the next day without hauling them back and forth every night after skiing.

  1. I purchased this product to replace an inferior (other manufacturer's) product that bacame unsafe to use. I have another, slightly older DryGuy that is bigger and like the way is works and is constructed. Just came back from 5 days skiing at Whistler and this worked just fine. Nice and compact but just a little louder than I hoped. Quieter than the older DryGuy but louder than the Chinook. The price on Friday sale was great. On multiple day (even just 2) ski trips, the only way to not start with cold, wet feet is to dry them each night. And you do not need heat, just air movement. This unit works in a couple hours.

  1. Bootgloves are a great thing to have on the slopes. I have inherently cold feet and that can make skiing miserable. However the boot glove keeps the plastic of my ski boots from getting too cold and thus my feet stay warmer. They are also great for spring skiing. During the spring it is not the cold temperatures that are the problem but the wet snow. With the boot glove on the slush does not work its way into the overlap of my boots thus my feet stay dry.

  1. Purchased this product to dry golf shoes and it gets the job done. Well designed and constructed...has a variable timer (up to 3 hours, I believe) so there's no need to remember to turn it off. Heats to body temperature so it doesn't damage shoes.

  2. I just had this unit for a few days and it's working great for me. I run 8 miles a day and my shoes are drenched everytime. It was such a big dilemma for me to dry my shoes every night- I had to put it in front of a mini fan and had to remember to turn it off. Now the with this unit my shoes dry in 45minutes without having to worry about turning it off using the timer. I leave the unit by the door so that my shoes are good to go the next day. Real convenient. Also, now I can break into my new shoes and not worry about them stinking after a few days.

  3. Overall the product works well,- if you don't put your shoes on correctly or if you use it for boots, you'll tip it over. It does not use hot air , just warm, so i use it for my running shoes. Like the timer and it is pretty quiet.

  4. Got this for my basketball playing son's shoes which were soaked after practice or game. They really dry them out within the timer of 2 hours on the dryer. Only problem is the shoes stink so bad, that when you put them on the dryer it circulates the stink into the air. We keep the dryer in the garage, not house! At over $100 for shoes, and getting the dryer after the season start, we are keeping the shoes. Would expect that putting new shoes on this from the get go would prevent the stink....will see. Either way, definitely worth it from the drying standpoint!!!

  5. This product is very welcomed to my household. After a day out at work with my Red Wings (low cut steel toe) I place them on the ShoeDry and they return to a like new feel the next morning. At times the shoes would be pretty damp and normally not wearable for a couple of days but this ShoeDry does it's job, Nice! Just set the desired time with the Timer control and you're good to go. The soft heat makes the shoes nice, dry and very comfortable. I also like how they designed the folding shoe insert tubes, saves space when not in use. This item is well designed and easy to use, did not even regret my purchase from Amazon.com, who I should thank for their great service. I highly recommend this item but be aware it is best used for light to normal weight and lowcut shoes.

  1. Theses boot dryers work great. They don't dry boots in two hours, but if you leave your boots on over night, they'll be dry and warm for you the next morning. They aren't very big but they get the job done. They are roughly smaller than the size of chalkboard erasers (if you can remember those from school). They are easy to transport and the best part is they make absolutely no noise! Plug them in right next to your bed and you will not be bothered! I am a Forestry student so I am used to wet boots, I definitely recommend these boot dyers.

  2. I was a bit hesitant to buy this item. I thought it was a bit expensive but after buying them I am quite pleased with their performance. Low and slow is always the way to go when drying footwear. Too high a temperature can degrade leather and other materials. This little item does the trick perfectly. Very pleased.

  3. I bought these for my son for his snowboard boots and they work great. Simple easy and they do exactly what we wanted...warm the boots or dry them if left in the boots over night.

  4. Good product, works well, could be improved by having the cord between the two boots longer for my ski bag.

  5. We ski about 70+ days a year; my son is a budding ski racer and I formerly patrolled in mid-vermont. These are quiet (no sound at all), compact (packs easily), and really works! We also have the DryGuy travel boot dryer with a fan - and that one makes a racket that we can't stand when in a hotel room. This 'Circulator/Warmer' works just as well, without the noise.

  1. I have two kids 5 & 7 in New England. After we had our January thaw I knew I needed to do something. Both my kids have two pairs of snow boots that are "mostly" water proof, except when it comes to total submersion in puddles. After a few days of thaw both sets of boots were wet. And since they are mostly water proof I couldn't dry them out overnight, and that was even after letting them sit on the radiator. The next step was to break out a hair dryer and that sort of worked except my Sons boots really stunk. Pewwww... And that still didn't do it because I wasn't willing to put in the hour or so that I would have needed. My experience with water proof gloves and the dryer told me that wouldn't work either because the outside dries, but the fingers remain wet.

I looked at local sporting good stores and they had a few different kinds of boot dryers. One for campers that uses propane and another convection one. Overall junk.

I finally decided on the DryGuy because it had good reviews. The one I ordered from Amazon was the standard body - though I was looking for the wide body, but to my pleasant surprise the wide body - your millage may very.

Once I unpacked it I was surprised that it was so small. It looked about two times larger in the picture my mind had painted. I set it up and put it on top of the dryer next to the washing machine so it would be out of the way and have a close power cord. Then I waited for another thaw as my wife made fun of me for spending so much.

The thaw came except this time we never ran out of boots. I never had two wet at any one time. My son came in with boots that were literally dripping wet from the inside. A little over two hours later for excessively wet boots and they were dry again. This thing rocks!!! One morning before school I noticed that no one had dried the boots. I stuck them on the DryGuy and went about getting everyone ready. Right before school toasty dry boots. By the way, the stink is gone as well. I'm sure that was from never getting them dry enough or taking too long to dry them in the past.

My wife has also been convinced. She was skeptical, but has been very impressed. Two things have changed for us with the DryGuy.

    1. We don't keep a drying rack anymore for gloves and mittens. Stick one pair of wet gloves on with a pair of boots. It works excellent on gloves.

    2. We will only need to buy one pair of better quality boots next season, since we had to buy two just to have a spare. We will eventually pay for the DryGuy in boot and glove savings. Ditto with not needing three pairs of gloves.

I have not used other boot dryers, but I'm sure this is the Cadillac of boot dryers after using it. It has literally just become and appliance for us. Meaning we don't think about it or question how well it works. It simply works.

  2. I have a more sweaty foot and after a couple days of skiing the boots are always somewhat damp. This machine completely dries your boots and kills or deactivates all the odor-generating germs. It also warms them up quickly in the morning for extra comfort.
The only complaint I have is that the poles appear to be not too sturdy - I feel they might break. You also have to develop your routine how to stick the shoes on the device, if you do it wrong it falls over.

  3. This product works as advertised. My only complaint is that it doesn't really feel sturdy enough to hold 4 heavy boots at one time. The arms flex rather easily, and I would be afraid that they would crack and break off if you tried to dry 4 ski boots at once. I'll do two boots and two gloves, or 4 gloves, but not 4 boots. If you really think that you'll need to dry 4 boots at once, I would recommend that you get two of the boot dryers that you insert down into the boots.

  4. This boot dryer works effectively and is compact and quiet. The family uses it frequently. Timer feature is nice.

  5. Easy to use. Like the dual glove/boot drying ability. Not terribly attractive but function is what is important. Price was almost $50.00 higher through a popular catalogue and at a local outfitter.

  1. We live in the south, so this dryer was purchased to dry boots that have gotten wet with rain water, not snow. My husband has already used it twice and really loves it. I was worried it wouldn't be that great because the price was very good, but it seems to do just fine!

  2. I bought this for my 10" military style boots and it does a great job without drying out the leather. And it's completely silent. The warmth just flows up into the boots drying them fast.

  3. Does what it says. Dries your boots over night. Havent had my boots real wet tho, only normal after work drying. Gave it five stars cause it was the cheapest convection style boot dryer which was recommended by red wing shoes.but any how, tips: It stinks when you first put ur boots on the dryer, i keep mine on my inclosed porch cause they smell for at least an hour, maybe it is just me. Make sure you have a semi warm and well vented area or you will smell it. If its too cold it doesnt dry as well. I Have had to throw away boots before cause of smell from long hours in the field, seems to have it in check so far, oh and dont make the mistake that i did and think it was going to be instant, it takes at least 5 hours most the time some times 7 or 8. Plan on buying a dual unit or better unit if you plan on drying more than one pair, if this one ever breaks i will for sure.
