1. The Volkl Unlimited AC3 Titanium is a really great ski that comes packaged with top-notch integrated Marker Motion iPT bindings. Volkl has tweaked the performance of the AC3 for the 2006-7 season with a stiffer ski but it is still a noticeably softer, better all mountain ski than the AC4. Consider the AC4 if you ski on eastern boiler plate, but for most advanced-expert skiers who ski out west, the AC3 is a better bet. I tried the AC3 at Vail in fresh snow conditions, and immediately realized I was on a winner. The next day I tried them on a GS race course at Arapahoe Basin and found that they held edge very nicely on a harder surface. Buy the length that reaches to your nose -- no need to go longer.
