- I bought my pair at a retail store during a sale, but I love my Bass Courtney's. I have them in the Burgundy - to wear with navy and khaki pants. In dim light they look black because the burgundy is very dark. They were a little tight at first and took about 3 days of wearing to break them in and to not rub the back of my heel. (I don't have a callous there so any small amount of rubbing causes great pain.) But once they broke in they turned into fantastic shoes. They have great toe room - I can freely wiggle my toes and there's no rubbing on my little toe. I'm going to buy a pair in black now.

- The Bass ankle boots I purchased are true to size, well made, and very stylish. They look great with my bootcut and straight leg jeans. I am impressed with the quality of the leather and stitching for this modestly priced boot.

- Shoes.com provided wonderfully fast service and a decent sandal price. Too bad my feet are so impossible; my fault, not theirs! A friend with a larger size and medium width tells me she has worn hers "Margie" sandal comfortably for 12 years. They still look new, as evidenced by my ordering them after seeing how lovely they were when she wore them to a recent event.
Bass always produces a good product. I ordered the "tan distressed" and they are beautiful sandals, with sumptuously comfy soles. They are adequately sturdy, while also enabling feet to still look dainty and shapely. For the $30 which I paid, free postage, they are a fairly good buy.
Nevertheless, these sandals are not perfectly comfortable for me, perhaps more my fault than theirs. My advice to a person with small, narrow feet is that this product may not be exactly right. The front straps are in a fixed position, as are most strappy sandals, while the back ones are adjustable. This said, the size 7 Narrow is not for a truly narrow foot, mainly due to the positioning and size of the front straps.
I will keep these sandals and can wear them "around," but on day trips or shopping I would probably not be able to endure the slight floppiness. There is just a tad too much give for my foot. Even the back strap isn't quite perfect for me, as it tends to force the foot forward when adjusted in the tightest position. Yet I need the very tightest buckle hole in order to keep the shoe on my foot at all.
Would I have bought these had I been shopping in a store, where I could have tried them on? Probably not. But I've been to dozens of quality shoe stores already this summer, to no avail seeking my size in this type sandal. At one point, I went store-to-store at a huge outlet mall, hitting every place with shoes, including Bass itself. At one store, Etienne Aigner, I was so frustrated that I made the comment that they no longer carried either my size or my style. When the saleswoman heard I wore a narrow, she said, "Oh we'll, never go back to THOSE again." It seems as if most stores consider customers with dainty, narrow feet an oddity, not deserving to find shoes at all. So perhaps, in spite of my dissatisfaction with the sandals in question, I did well by ordering them.
- I had a pair of Bass sandals that looked similar and it came time to get a new pair. I found that the old style was no longer available so I ordered these. They are a poor replacement - the fit is off. The straps are very rigid (after a few attempts at breaking in) and rub awkwardly on various places on the foot. Can't wear these for more than a few minutes at a time.
- I bought a pair of these when I purchased a pair of the Sharon style to replace a pair I'd had for years. I thought it might be a good idea to also have an open toe sandal for various occasions.
I've not yet had a chance to wear them as my daughter (17) has pretty much taken possession of them. She's not a sandal person (preferring boots and the like), so, at least in my view, this may be considered high praise indeed.
It appears, then, I'll have to purchase another pair for myself, for which I'll let my daughter post a review ;-)
- I've had these sandals before and they fit perfectly. I ordered them in the same size and they are too wide. I can wear them but they are not nearly as comfortable as my old ones.

- I have worn Bass sandals for over 20 years, you can't go wrong buying a pair. The only thing is they seem to be very narrow in width (Maybe my feet are wider than they use to be)They do stretch a little so give them a few days to adjust to your feet. Other than that I still really like the sandal overall
- I bought this item in 2 colors for my mom. Both of us just love to wear them for the summer. Very comfortable and stylish. I just wish they were not discontinued. I'm trying to get more for me in size 8.5N in any color but cannot find it.
- great sandals....have worn this style for years. my only complaint is that the company sent the wrong color. i ordered a tan and they sent something else.
- I wore these shoes for a few hours and had bubble blisters. In between my toes and in 3 other spots on each foot. A week later now and they look like scars. But my first impression of these shoes was ugh. They are ugly. The straps is more towards the front of your foot instead of spread out over the top of it. They look okay with pants but I wouldnt wear them with shorts.
- great seller, great packaging, great shipping time, great product
will use this seller again.
