1. I bought these in the "luggage" color in a size 10. The leather was spotty; dark in areas like oil from a person's skin had stained it and lighter in other places. The leather was also frayed around the edges, as if someone cut the pieces with a dull pair of scissors. I don't know if the shoes are true to size b/c I didn't even bother to try them on. Its a shame, they are very cute shoes.

1. Only wore these boots 4 or 5 times and when I returned home the other day it felt like something had stuck to the bottom; instead, there was a square inch rip in the rubber sole at the ball of the foot. I thought these boots would be a lot more durable.



2. I love these boots. I've had them now for over 6 months and have really put them through some pretty yucky conditions. They were completely waterproof as I sloshed my way through the mud and standing water in the pasture this past spring and stayed soft and comfortable all summer long. They clean up very nicely, too.

4. These boots are very comfortable right out of the box. Good fit. No stiffness or "breaking in" time. I did spray them with waterproofing.

1. I bought my first pair of Fryes in 1989 -- i still wear them sometimes.
   These boots are super comfy. Soon after I bought them I spent four hours walking around town. No blisters, no problems. I wear them all the time -- except in the heat of summer.



2. These boots are fantastic! Well made, great looking and will last a lifetime! I get compliments on them wherever I go. They are great with shorts, skirts & jeans! They are pretty true to size.



3. I loved these boots. I loved the look, I loved the color. Unfortunately I had to return them because they were so big around my calves that they made a slapping noise as I walked. Bummer.



4. I have had these boots for 5 years now (I have them in both black and brown) and they still fit and feel great. I have had them each resoled once. The leather is soft but durable, and wears well. They sort of have a cowboy rugged feel, but still enough style to wear them with a skirt. I read the review about the wide calf area. I didn't find this at all (I don't think I have big calves (I weigh 120) but who knows. I find they are one of the few boots that fit well under a tighter boot cut jean. They are not "snug" around the calf, but the boots don't "show" or "snag" (meaning there is enough room to wear under (not tucked in) a pair of jeans (or at least the ones I wear). I still get compliments on these kickers. Gotta love that. FRYE makes a great shoe.
