- I've always worn better than average shoes. When you wear size 13, you need good shoes. Anyway, one day I went berserk and bought a pair of
Allen Edmonds Men's Park Avenue Cap Toe Oxfords. They were comfortable from minute #1 and I haven't regretted the purchase for even a second. When I switched to my old good shoes for a week -- WOW what a difference. The Allen Edmonds shoes were much better. I now own two pairs and they are both great. I alternate them each day and use shoe trees at night -- both practices are highly recommended. One other note: Allen Edmonds shoe polish is excellent. I was using the brand you get at the grocery store and what a noticeable difference it makes to use the Allen Edmonds Premium Shoe Polish. Not sure why, but it is much better stuff. Bottom line: If you need excellent black dress shoes that are comfortable enough to wear for long days including long treks through airports, I highly recommend these. As for the price ... How much do you spend for tires on your car? My last set cost $500. I decided that I am worth $300 for awesome shoes.
- I have had these shoes in Black for 8 years now and am on the 3rd set of soles. They have gone back to factory every time for refurbishment and they are STILL the best looking shoes I own. I have tried many brands over the years and have 3 sets of Allen Edmonds and do not ever plan to buy another brand of dress shoe unless something changes. As for the price, you can pay less but you get less, and if you have them refurbished, over the long run you will fel they are worth EVERY penny.

- These are VERY comfortable shoes. I prefer slip-on dress shoes for work. These Milfords are by far and away the best slip-on's I've owned (Cole Haan, Magnanni, Bostonians.) For the price I don't think you can find a cheaper or more comfortable slip on.
These shoes get worn about once a week. When worn, they usually see at least a mile of walking per day. After about 3 months and 15 or so outings, these shoes still look new. They have no wrinkles or creases. The soles are great (no sliding.) If you purchase these (or any dress shoes) make sure you use shoe trees to protect them and keep them looking new.

. . . the answer is 'To Tree'!
If you purchase good quality shoes then using shoe trees should be a priority. Even bargain shoes will look better if you use shoe trees. They keep the shape of the shoe intact while the cedar wicks out the moisture that is left in the shoes after you have worn them. The Allen Edmonds Cedar Shoe Trees have always been an excellent quality item. I use them for my MEZLAN Redford Dress Shoes, Mezlan Carmichael Oxfords, Mezlan Spyder Slip-Ons and Hummer Sneakers, as well as, my Bite Golf Shoes to name just a few. The A-E shoe trees are all great. Much better than using the plastic handle/wooden shoe trees. I bought a pair from a chain store for my sneakers and after using them twice the handle broke off. That will not happen with these. Try them. You'll see the difference using these shoe trees makes. ~ The Boss

- These shoe trees perform their function as advertised. Nice, solid construction. Free cedar. Nice smell.
- I've tried a number of shoe trees and these are by far the best products that I've come across. The construction at the joints is superb and strong, the foot of my shoes is well filled, and removal is easy because of the tab on top of the heel. Sizing was perfect for me as and described.
- Best shoe tree that I've ever used. The solid, full-toe design reduces creases without widening the shoe.
