5 comments about Grow Rich! With Peace of Mind.
  1. Although Think & Grow Rich is the most famous book that Hill wrote, Grow Rich With Peace Of Mind is surely the most under-rated of all of Hill's books.

Grow Rich with Peace of Mind offers information not in Hill's other books and includes discoveries made by Hill after he wrote Think and Grow Rich. Grow Rich with Peace of Mind offers foolproof techniques for achieving power to earn a high income and to enjoy genuine inner peace at the same time.

Grow Rich with Peace of Mind can help you reach your all of your goals and enjoy it.

  2. This book is so amazing. I rarely read a book more than once. I will reread this book and plan to read it again about every two months or so after working on my next fear. I did conquer one of my major fears in life while reading this book. I was on vacation and was in the process of flying back home. To say that I hated landings was an understatement. I use to grip the arm rests white knuckled, legs jammed forward, body pressed back in the seat terrified of the plane landing. While reading this book on the plane I was able to so completely over come my fear of landing that not only did I sit calmly in my seat, but as the pilot of the plane allowed the passengers to listen to all the communication with the ground tower, the tower controller made several mistakes that the pilot had to correct him on and then land the plane. All of this happened and I was completely at peace with what was going on. What I experienced was incredible.

This book is truly life altering. I look forward to finding Mr. Hill on the other side after this life and thanking him for this wonderful book.

  3. This is the best book I have ever read. I wish that I would have read it when I was 15 years old, instead of 50. I would have made many different choices in my life. It teaches one how to think and use the mind. I have bought 7 copies and given them to my closest friends and family. Buy it. ;-)

  4. This is a wonderful work of heart in which the author combines true, upllifting philosophy with practical advice. I get inspiration from rereading it.

  5. Napoleon Hill is the recognized expert on all things success. In this book, Hill reveals how you can grow rich, and keep your mental act together at the same time. Typical of Hill's writing style, the book is easy to read, and features numerous examples from his real life experience. Specifically, this book covers, among many other things:

    Success while being yourself.
    Developing a healthy ego.
    Finding friendship and love.
    Getting the job you want.
    Turning challenges into success.

This book focuses on achieving success through positive relationships and a healthy mental attitude. For more information on achieving financial success, you may want to read "The 17 Principles of Creating Wealth," by Phillip Collinsworth.

2 comments about The Secret Life of Men: A Practical Guide to Helping Men Discover Health, Happiness, and Deeper Personal Relationships.
  1. This is one of the five best books around for men. It can help in understanding manhood and what it means.

There is so much bad press about men that a positive book that helps focus on building on men's strengths and on the contribution they can make is very welcome.

The book has a lot of material about living a fulfilling and authentic life as a man.

The material on common problem areas is also very useful - relationships with fathers, developing a positive relationship to your sexuality, common misconceptions about men.

This book was also published in some countries as "Manhood".

    Highly recommended.

  2. This book can be very insightful, and I think most men will find that it identifies many of the issues in their life. This said, I do not find that I agree with everything is says in the book that is to help men have a more fulfilling life, but at least it might provide pointers for many men on how to approach their lives so they are more fulfilled. Growing up male has problems with available stereotypes: a man is supposed to be independent, strong and unemotional, and beautiful women will just swoon over them. Showing emotion is not allowed, and don't do anything that might make you appear queer. The recent decades have freed women from many of the bonds, but men have been left behind, and do not know how to proceed in this new world where women, may want them, but do not need them.

I think it is also women should read, particularly those that are having relationship issues with their significant other. It is not easy in this world for men, which is not helped by women who seem to react exactly to men as to encourage them to become exactly the type of man they do not like: men become submissive since they fear loss or rejection. Women have a tremendous power over men since generally sex is not as important to them as men. It is the woman that makes the decision on having sex; it becomes a situation where women effectively use withholding of sex as a punishment, and not a reward. The book points out, and rightly, that many men do not appreciate the affection that is such an important aspect of sex, and the fulfillment for both the man and the woman. Unfortunately, men in today's society have a real need of sex and this need is so often unfulfilled, making many very deeply unhappy men. You can see the how accurately this book hits the spot if you read anything by high end prostitutes who cater to very successful men: amazingly these men are just looking for affection.

5 comments about Excuse Me, Your God Is Waiting: Love Your God * Create Your Life * Find Your True Self.
  1. Many of us have an impersonal relationship with someone else's version of God. Michelle helps us create our own life adventure to find, know and relish the very personal relationship we can have with Our Own God. In return, like any healthy partnership, Our God helps us discover and cherish our True Self.

Michelle opens her life experience about how she was able, with Her God's help, to let go of organized religious systems, symbols and images of the, "...angry male authoritarian God with a long white beard, piercing eyes and a stern face...", who, because of her immense spiritual hunger, wanted her to be a nun. Instead she describes a relevant, vibrant, ever-growing, stretching, expanding relationship with her God who is her devoted teammate - not because of what she does or doesn't do - but because of who Her God is: Love.

With an extensive professional background in business and personal coaching, she weaves brief exercises, questions, and thoughts to ponder throughout the book to help us learn, un-learn, re-learn, and generate A HA! insights to define and create our own lives with Our God.

Caution: This book will gently challenge and nudge away beliefs, images, or systems that are keeping you from your Birthright - a life, a self, and a God of your own. Michelle makes it far too easy for us to do what we crave: To receive love from our God, to learn to love our Selves, and to powerfully create the love we want in our lives.

  2. For many Christians, God has taken a backseat to their lives, but "Excuse Me, Your God is Waiting" is here to help them fix this spiritual problem and to introduce God into each part of life, be it in solving their problems, celebrating, or just getting through the day and looking towards the next. Promoting a better life and spiritual happiness through a more complete oneness with God, "Excuse Me, Your God is Waiting" is a must for Christian studies collections and for anyone who thinks they can improve their life if their bond with God were greater.

  3. Michelle has written a remarkable and sorely needed book--a primer for reclaiming your spirituality and forging a truly personal relationship with God. Filled with exercises and reflections, the book provides an illuminating path back to our true natures and our connections with the divine. A must-read for spiritual seekers and anyone who wants to feel more joy, abundance and aliveness!

  4. This book's interesting title caught my eye, but what is inside can change the way you think about God. And that is the most needed thing in our world right now - thinking about God. You hear the word God everywhere and from everyone, and guess what, all those different people are not thinking of the same God. This book will help you to know about a God that you can understand, that you can believe in and the God that will make your life full, meaningful and worth living. The message I got from this book is that until you come to an understanding of the God that makes sense to you personally you will remain confused by the God that is described to you by others. For me the word God stands for the power and thought behind all of the created Universe. That thought and power has through four billion years of evolution and 400,000 years of cultural development created you and me. Read Michelle's book and think about the God you want to believe in.

  5. I was only on page 8 and I knew that Michelle Epiphany Prosser's book, "Excuse Me Your God is Waiting" was going to be a transformational experience for me. Reading her book, I had a pen in one hand and a kleenex in the other. I've read many books to deepen my spirituality and to help me awaken to my true self. What sets Michelle's book apart is how she uses her experience as a coach to create spiritual exercises to enable the reader to deepen their connection with God. Through revealing her own spiritual journey and intimate details of her own life, she creates a framework that enables the reader to enter deeply into their own relationship with God; to find the courage to uproot untruths and have them transformed by God's love. Michelle transcends religions and draws upon the wisdom of both ancient and modern spiritual teachers to gently invite the reader to find communion with God.
The river of God's love flows through Michelle and into the pages of her book. I am so grateful to Michelle that she co-created this book with God to enrich my life's journey. This book enables me to set my life course to co-create my life with God and to allow God's love to be the wind that fills my sail as I travel along the river of life. - Mary McManus, author of "New World Greetings:Inspirational Poetry and Musings for a New World"

5 comments about Passion at Work: How to Find Work You Love and Live the Time of Your Life.
  1. Passion at Work is transforming my outlook on work, life and the future. Thich Nhat Hanh -- "We have more possibilities available in each moment than we realize". Lawler Kang demonstrates this principle throughout his compelling analysis of how we settle, how we change, and the process that can assist us as a catalyst and a companion on the journey. A must read!

  2. Passion at Work causes me to think about what is not only important in my career but in my life. Lawler poses some thought-provoking questions and then provides a practical and useful process to help us create focus in our career efforts as well as life. The approach has helped clarify for me the next target in my career. I highly recommend it!

  3. Passion and rage are among the most powerful of human emotions and each is obviously capable of producing extraordinary results, either positive or negative. The happiest people tend to be those who are passionate about both how they earn a living and the quality of life their efforts provide. Conversely, the unhappiest people are those who continuously rage against real (or imagined) grievances in any or even in all of the areas of their lives. In this book, Lawler Kang addresses these and other issues. Specifically, he suggests answers to questions such as these:

    1. When am I and/or when have I been I happiest? Why?
    2. Doing what?
    3. Not doing what?
    4. With whom am I and/or with whom have I been happiest? Why?

One of the greatest benefits of this book (and there are several) is the assistance Kang provides so that his reader can measure the gap between where she or he is now, and, where she or he would much prefer to be. He then provides sound, practical counsel on how to close that gap.

At this point, I presume to suggest (and presumably Kang agrees) that many of our wounds are self-imposed, that in our daily struggles to achieve whatever desirable objectives we may have, Pogo was right: "We have met the enemy and he is us." Hence the importance of taking full responsibility for the consequences of our decisions, both past and recent, so that we can then make better decisions henceforward.

Kang carefully organizes his material within seven chapters. Throughout the narrative, he inserts appropriate real-world examples of his key points. I appreciate the fact that, unlike so many other authors of books which address many of the same issues, Kang resists the temptation to be a sophist or evangelist. He correctly realizes that people can sometimes be inspired by others (who are by nature passionate) but only they can motivate themselves. At one point Kang observes, "The most important source of competitive advantage in the twenty-first century will come from individuals and organizations that unleash the power of passion." Quite true, but it should be added that -- more often than not -- individuals and organizations which find themselves at a disadvantage are those which compete against themselves. This is especially true of many of those involved in sales: They are preoccupied with reasons why a prospect could be resistant and are, therefore, reluctant to ask for an order. In effect, they sell against themselves. Of course, there are others (not only ) in sales who seem convinced that "enthusiasm" can compensate for insufficient understanding of a prospect's needs and interests. They demonstrate passion without competence and, on occasion, passion without integrity.

Throughout his book, Kang leaves absolutely no doubt whatsoever that what he recommends must be guided and informed by three "priorities": Passion, of course, but also proficiencies and principles. He insists that two other "priorities" must also be served: a plan which accommodates both one's organization and one's personal life, and, various means by which to verify and validate (i.e. prove) the appropriateness and effectiveness of that plan. These last two "Priorities" (plan and proof) are discussed with rigor and eloquence in Chapter 10. This chapter, all by itself, is worth far more than the cost of the book but should not be read until after the previous nine.

In the next chapter, Kang responds to a question many readers will pose after absorbing and digesting the material provided to that point: "Now what?" Let's assume that his reader is determined to begin a new (albeit perilous) "journey" to achieve career and personal goals once assumed to be unattainable. Much of the preparation has by now been completed but Kang correctly alerts his reader to the fact that several "canyons" await and one's "journey" through and beyond them can be completed only if unnecessary "baggage" is cast aside along with any guilt associated with it. Kang: "Make friends with your past." Only closure can release the emotional energy needed to continue. Next, the canyon of finances. Kang offers several suggestions as to how to "make friends with your future." That is, financial as well as emotional "baggage" must be eliminated. "The thought of working your passion, however you define it, without having [BOTH] a tactical [AND] a financial plan in place is simply unthinkable." With regard to third and last "terrifying, dimly lit, and dust-ridden corridor called `The Unknown,'" having a sufficient and sustainable commitment to completing the journey is absolutely essential. I suspect (only a suspicion) that, for most people, this last "canyon" is the most difficult.

As I read the final chapter "Looking for Your Life's Work," I was reminded of the marathons in Boston and New York which also require rigorous and extensive preparation, both psychological and physical. Hopes are high as the race begins. As it proceeds over time, most participants drop back and some drop out, exhausted and discouraged. Those who complete the course may feel exhaustion but also a sense of achievement, whatever their final standing. Another marathon awaits. In so many respects, our lives consist of a sequence of cycles as does marathon competition. Kang seems to be suggesting that getting through the three "canyons" and then locating one's life work is indeed admirable but by no means the end of the "journey." New "baggage" will be acquired which must eventually be discarded; new financial issues will emerge which must be resolved; and we will encounter new "canyons," hence the importance of passionate and thorough preparation as well as passionate and total commitment to proceed through each of them.

As Kang concludes his book, he shares a Japanese saying, shoga nai, which literally means "There is no other way." As he explains, it is usually uttered with the guttural seriousness of a Samurai warrior and the existentialism of a kamikaze pilot. By now Kang has stressed the importance of sharp focus, strategic timing, constant iteration of core principles, "and most importantly, patience. There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going. It is this undercurrent of patience to which you must fundamentally commit as you start edging closer to living in the prime of your life." To those about to begin this journey, I join Kang in wishing them bon voyage!

I also highly recommend Michael Ray's The Highest Goal, Jim O'Toole's Creating the Good Life, and David Whyte's The Heart Aroused.

  4. Looking for inspiration, I picked up this book and found much needed encouragement to enjoy my latest job search. Now I look forward to what I might discover, find, and/or create. Mr. Kang has helped me expect to find more than a "job" and to get out there and find a "life" and I have to say the journey just got a whole lot better.

  5. Lawler Kang is here to help if you're feeling unhappy or unfulfilled in your career. His "Five Ps" self-examination process arises from his philosophy that, since "you don't get nine lives" like the fabled feline, you must live each moment to the fullest. Life is too short to stay in a boring job. You've probably heard these ideas before, but Kang's exercises and checklists may help you to act on them. His style is sincere, but overeager and jargon-ridden, and the peculiar, hard-to-read typeface exacerbates his confusing tendency to trip on his own clichés. We suggest that people who are feeling inextricably stuck in unsatisfying careers will find it worthwhile to transcend these drawbacks. Kang may be able to start you on a journey to fulfillment and happiness.

5 comments about Manifesting Abundance.
  1. These tapes are very touching and uplifting. After listening to them, I want to share them with everyone I love.

  2. For someone so "enlightened" she sure sounds emotionally charged and "preachy" as one reviewer said. Almost sounds like a fundamentalist new ager. I realize that is an oxymoron but that is the way she comes across to me. I liked "A Return to Love" much better. She seems to be judging people for taking action to make their dreams come true as practicing white magic. While I agree that it is important to seek God's will, I also believe it is just as important to use our free will in accordance with God's will. If we are off the mark, universal law simply reminds us of our bad aim. The following story illustrates the folly of these tapes. There was a man who heard of a flood coming. He said to his neighbors, "God will protect me and my house". He stayed in his house and the flood came. First one feet, then three feet high. The man went up the ladder to his roof saying "God will protect me." When the water was at his roof some neigbors came by in a boat and offered to help him. The man said, "God will protect me" and sent them away. Later when he was surrounded by water on the top of his roof a helicopter came by and threw down a ladder. Over the noise of the helicopter the speaker asked him if they could help him get away. He waved them away saying "God will protect me." The waters came and washed him away. He soon drowned. He went up to the pearly gates of heaven and entered. His first question to an angel was to ask why God had not saved him. The Angel replied that God had sent many people to to save him from certain death but the man had refused to hear their message and had refused to act on a wise course of action. There are moments of great insights and inspiration here, Pick them out and use them. Leave the opinions behind.

  3. Marrianne Williamson's work is both real and honest. Rather than couch things in a concepts that are alien or extremely religious, she talks to you about the realities of existing. Of how things will not always be easy, about how you will lose your way, and honestly how to see people clearly. Growth is messy, it's not neat, maturity is not easy, nor is spirtiuality delicate work, but with assistance from a tape like this you can see yourself clearly and how to bridge yourself from concept to human to spiritual being.

  4. First time that I have ever bought anything by Marianne Williamson and the first impressions are that of being an spiritual evangelist but the more I listened to the CD's the more I realised this women speaks with passion and she can deliver the message of the material on many different spiritual levels ie those who are just starting off and for those that have been doing it for ages.Presented with great understanding of people, fantastic sense of humour and a envious understanding of the work.
If this is the only cd's you listen to,understand and apply I trust that abundance of time, wealth, health and love as well as life experience will be yours.

  5. I enjoyed this CD as I have others, yet if one is seeking something different from her than you may not get it. There was little about abundance in it. But there is no magical key, but there never is. The biggest part of this CD was to make sure that life was lived as fully as it can be, only then do you gain what you need and want. Trying to control ourselves and our thoughts give us everything that we need.

5 comments about 10 Spiritual Principles of Successful Women: Discovering Your Purpose, Vision, and Blessing.
  1. This woman owes myself and hundreds of people their paycheck from her business she withheld and did not pay!! Her company was a sham and Victoria's self serving narcissim continues.... she's no role model and definitely not a "Spiritual leader" but more along the lines of a phoney con artist. She's only not promoting that she is responsilbe for driving her $200M business into a CH-11 - and then with holding payrolls from her internal staff and temporary employees. She's unethical and dillusional to beleive she has the "Spiritual" or any other qualities to lead. She's driven two companies into the ground! Enron executive in the making!

  2. I recommend this book to EVERY woman who wants to go beyond simply existing to living a satisfying and fulfilling life. This book was such a blessing , it took me ages to finish it as I kept going back to re-read. It is very practical and Victoria doesn't deviate from or water down the word of God. For me its a reference book and I'm glad I bought it.

  3. Victoria Lowe shares her personal journey of success with readers of 10 SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES OF SUCCESSFUL WOMEN: Discovering Your Purpose, Vision and Blessing. From a very early age, Lowe embodied the entrepreneurial spirit; she took action on her vision and launched her own staffing firm with not much else than faith.

The 10 principles that are communicated in this book result from the author's personal journey. The principles include Trusting God's Will, Having Faith and Integrity, Leadership and Blessing, just to name a few. Lowe's definition of success is "attaining total peace and fulfillment in every aspect of your life." This success is unlocked by five keys: 1) peace with yourself, 2) commitment to excellence, 3) having a servant's heart, 4) paying the cost, and 5) recognizing your season.

This book is loaded with insight and realistic reminders to be God-centered while reaching for your goals. One of the spiritual principles Lowe highlights is leadership. One characteristic of a strong leader is knowing when to let go. This is a profound wisdom statement because oftentimes letting go may be perceived as quitting. However, this is not the case. It is just a reminder to remain flexible in an environment that is dynamically changing.

I felt this book was more of an autobiography laced with a Christian message; however, Ms. Lowe dishes some thought-provoking insight into being successful in realizing our purpose and maintaining our Christian values.

  4. I have to disagree with "Honest Abe," I guess the devil is at work but as believers we will continue to stomp the negativity. Victoria Lowe writes a book that taps into the hearts of the believers, and her message speaks out about putting GOD first in order to achieve success. This a simple message that most of us can not seem to follow day to day in the working world. Thank you very much Victoria Lowe for writing one of the BEST books I have ever read. I will invite you to speak when I open my own prosperous business!!!!!!

  5. Victoria Lowe reportedly was reared by Jehovah's Witness Parents who owned and operated the largest minority owned/operated trucking firm in the midwest. Thus, readers should be careful as to whether Lowe's business shortcomings are attributable to her present christian faith, or to that of her formative environment.

5 comments about Quién se ha llevado mi queso?.
  1. Pobre literatura y muchas vueltas y palabras para algo tan simple. Cuesta trabajo acabar el librillo de lo aburrida que es la trama. Todo el libro se puede resumir en unas cuantas páginas no en un libro.

  2. Anyone who is reading me is able to adapt to technology. Do we need a stupid book to tell us so?

  3. La historia del libro es jocosa y me ayudo a ver como en el pasado yo enfrente los cambios: en el trabajo, con mi familia, con los amigos... Se que me ayudara a enfrentar los cambios del futuro y a no cometer los mismos errores.

  4. While the world changes ever more rapidly and with wider volatility, many people continue to wish (in vain) for constancy. People will probably never lose their desire for predictability, but acting as though no change is happening can be very harmful.

While we can all relate to this problem intellectually, Who Moved My Cheese? brings to bear the all-to-human emotions that keep us from taking timely, appropriate actions. As you read this book, you will experience those emotions and recognize their power. This will help you the next time you experience these emotions, because you will realize what you are doing. By making you consciously aware of your wishful thinking, you should be better able to overcome it.

I hope that Dr. Johnson goes on to write sequels to this book that deal with all of the major stalls that people are subject to: Disbelief, Miscommunications, Procrastination, Avoiding Ugliness, Defensiveness, Tradition, Misconception, Bureaucracy, Directionlessness, Helplessness, Xenophobia, Over-Optimism, Covering-Up, and Taking on Excess Volatility.

If you read this book from a literal perspective, you will probably not get too much benefit. Try to imagine yourself as each of the characters. It'll work better that way.

    Enjoy!

5 comments about Seeds Of Greatness.
  1. I love this book. I am reading it again for the third time. It can be applied to your professional or personal life. Now as I am going through it again, I can see many applications for raising my kids to be great as well.

  2. Author Dr. Denis Waitley shows the reader in easy to understand language how to combine positive attitudes with your inherent natural aptitudes and abilities to, among other things:

    1. Change your life style for the better.
    2. Choose goals and then follow Waitley's steps to attain them.
    3. Be a self-manager by building self-reliance, using self-talk, and enhancing your self-esteem.
    4. Make the right decisions in your life by asking yourself the three vital questions.
    5. How to understand what makes you tick and to be understood.

Dr. Waitley also shows the reader how to gain a fresh perspective of living each new day as the ten best kept secrets of total success are uncovered. Those secrets are the following "seeds":

    1. The seed of self-esteem.
    2. The seed of creativity.
    3. The seed of responsibility.
    4. The seed of wisdom.
    5. The seed of purpose.
    6. The seed of communication.
    7. The seed of faith.
    8. The seed of adaptability.
    9. The seed of perseverence.
    10. The seed of perspective.

A very inspirational and motivational treatise. I rate it at five stars without hesitation or reservation.

    JP

  3. This is probably Dennis Waitley's best work in the self-help genre.
He attributes greatness to having ten "seeds" in abundance. These seeds are essential, according to Waitley, and no one has ever gotten far in life without them. Some of the seeds are self-esteem, creativity, respect, and purpose. He provides a reasonable-length chapter on each seed, and tells why it contributes to greatness. With self-deprecating humor, and entertaining stories and illustrations to further enlighten and thrill the reader, Waitley makes a compelling case for not ever having to buy another self-help book. Any one who wants to become successful and happy would greatly profit from this inspirational read.

  4. When I was in High School in the 80s, the school's guidance counselor loaned me a copy of Seeds of Greatness thinking it was a book I'd enjoy and learn from. He was so right! This was the first of Denis Waitley's books that I read, and I enjoyed it so much, and believed in his lessons that I have been reading his books and listening to his audio and video programs ever since. I am very thankful that I read this book and learned of the wonderful lessons Denis Waitley shares.

The ten seeds Waitley shares include Self-Esteem, Creativity, Responsibility, Wisdom, Purpose, Communication, Faith, Adaptability, Perseverance, and Perspective. While the book was written in 1983, these seeds are just as important today. Maybe even more so the way some of the world seems to be turning.

The simple truths that Waitley shares, if listened to and followed, will help anyone achieve greater success. Waitley has shared these basic principles of success with millions over the years and they are full of ageless wisdom that will help you too. I strongly endorse all of Waitley's works and this one holds a special place because it was the first of his that I read, and the book that led me to learn and apply his wisdom which has helped me succeed.

  1. Turning Passions Into Profits was a great read, informative and substantive. Step 1 and Step 2 are great! The exercises and application to successful people was a plus. A drawback is the too much detail and somehow complicated categorization and "proprietary" processes that would take quite a few years for a 'creative type'non logical brain to master. Overall, the book was enlightenning, motivational and was worth the read.

  2. Christopher Howard has gone from having practically nothing to live on to becoming a sought after seminar speaker worth multi-millions. Having attended a large number of motivational speakers' events before his nadir he pondered how to break out. And he did. He shares his story and the steps he feels anyone who cares to can take to achieve the sort of life they would only dream of - doing what excites their own heart and making a living, and much more than basic living, out of it.

Using a basis of NLP he developed related techniques that can speed you in the direction YOU want to take. One overall read is required to get an idea of the whole process. Then a more deliberate step-by-step approach to put these ideas into action. But with the thorough self-evaluation that is built into the text, with check-lists and spaces to write your results, this seemingly complex process is made more manageable.

I have yet to read better book around self-development and achieving your dreams. Get it.

  3. I have been reading about NLP and practising it for a few years now and I definitely found a lot which is new for me in this book. I am also an entrepreneur and since I started practising some of the techniques Chris Howards describes I have made some pretty big changes I am very happy with. These are the key things I got out of the book.

Modelling: We all know what this is but Howards tells you in great detail exactly what to do to repeat the results which are achieved by others.
Mind maps: A great way to imprint onto your subconscious.
A New Cognitive: I have written my own and now I am acquiring it.
Genius reading and expanded awareness: A great technique for covering a lot of ground quickly
Goal Setting: a way of implanting goals into your future that seems absolutely certain. It works for me.
The world and the brain are halogens: A way of looking at the human condition which is entirely conducive to creating your own reality: a valuable insight into just how powerful we might be.

  4. I think there was a lot to grab from this book. The author has a sincere appriecation of the struggle which brought the reader to his book. He delivers a great number of stories and examples which I voraciously devoured. I can't tell you how it happened but a lot of my behavior changed after reading this book.

However the reader might be decieved into dropping the book after the first few chapters. After the first two chapters which has a more "touchy feely" approach, there is a huge and abrupt transition into major analytical constructive thinking. I was so turned off that I put down the book twice before I finally got through it. The book slowly gets its rhythm back towards the end, so stick with it. There are things within the book that will change your life. But you definitely have to get past his ackronyms. I hate Ackroynms.

I really appricated that this book avoided sprituality or concepts and instead searched long and hard to find examples from human beings. The quotes and stories in this book rock!

  5. This book reads like it is transcribed and edited
from a seminar. It's not hard to read and it is
    certainly inspiring.

On stage Howard has a blinding charisma that no doubt
sells a lot of books. My girlfriend bought this book
at a seminar and I read it.

Don't get me wrong - I have been through is Breakthrough
To Success seminar twice and it is very worthwhile
    and somewhat deep.

This is basically Howard's story of how he rose from
failure to success by borrowing 30,000 and investing
it in NLP training, building his executive coaching
business through aggressive cold-calling, and finally
breaking out in a big way as a superstar NLP guru.

I don't know enough about NLP to assess whether
Howard's thinking is original or better than Tony
Robbins or Bandler and Grinder. I do know that he
is a master salesman and in his marketing he has
positioned himself as a developer of "cutting edge
inner technologies" - which is an attractive
    jargon.

    I really like his workshop.

He is friendly with Richard Branson and talks about
the man frequently. While I think he is genuinely
interested in what makes Branson tick - he's also
catching a wave by basking in Branson's reflected
    glory.

Catch the seminar. The book is ok. His CD courses
are engaging... the ones I have heard.
