5 comments about Don't Eat The Marshmallow Yet!: The Secret to Sweet Success in Work and Life.
- I accidentally picked up this book in the bookstore, and started to read some, as the title is quite interesting.
However, I ended up finding a place to sit on the floor, and started to read it from the beginning to the end.
This book is not very complicated, wordy or any of those things that scholars will put.
It's a book that is filled with conversation and it's so true to every human being.
There are so many books like this out there, but you can't miss this one!
- I am not going to say that this book will change your life as an adult, but it'll remind you of a important principles. It, however, may be much more impactful for tweens and teens ... it'll make them question their decisions. I am not one for not eating the marshmellows, at all ... this book will remind us all that at least we at least that there's a decision to be made.
- The title of this book caught my attention while browsing at an airport book store on a recent trip. When I found out it was written based on an enlightening study conducted years ago, I decided to purchase it. After reading it, I liked it so much I bought several copies and gave them as Xmas gifts to colleagues and friends. The book is simple, but yet has profound message that can help people in all facets improve the quality of their life. I have a 1 year old son and I can't wait to start educating him on the principles of the Marshmallow. As a Sales Professional, I can see how applying the Marshmallow principles can help obtain better business deals. The quality of your decisions will improve if these principles are applied.
- In this McInstant Gratify time, an article of patience and "you harvest what you sow" is refreshing.
- I'll be honest and say that the first thing that attracted me to this book was the title. Who can resist it? I certainly couldn't and so I picked it up and started to read it and I wasn't prepared to be impressed.
This small volume made a big impact on me. I liked the way the lessons were communicated and just like Arthur, I couldn't wait to hear what other gems Mr Patient would impart next. The great thing about this book is that anybody can adopt its teachings to and tailor make it to suit nearly any aspect of their lives. I certainly going to try and I encourage anyone who wants to make some changes in their lives to read this book. Now I can't wait to get my hands on the second volume Don't gobble the marshmallow ever!

5 comments about The 9 Ways of Working: How to Use the Enneagram to Discover Your Natural Strengths and Work More Effectively.
- Goldberg's book is written in language that business people can quickly understand, and full of examples they can relate to. It's a superb presentation of the nine leadership styles--accessible and practical. I've used it very effectively in team sessions and in individual coaching ... My business clients especially gravitate to the "Cardinal Rules" at the end of each chapter (how to work with each type and how to work on yourself if it's your type).
- Certainly this is one of the most practical, real-world approaches ever taken to the Enneagram. It's short on 'spiritual' hooey [which is strictly okay with me] and long on realistic application of the Enneagram to your professional and personal daily life. But that does not mean it is in any way shallow -- it is as specific, insightful and dead-on acurate as any book on the market. His descriptions of the types is thourough, well-organized and articulate. [BE AWARE, however, that it is largely a re-hash - if a superior re-hash -- of his earlier "Boss's Number."] If you are less interested in the new-agey, spiritual aspects of the Enneagram, and looking for a clear articulation of how the principles work in your dialy life, this might be the best of the bunch.
- This book was my intro to the Enneagram and it is excellent.
It has very good descriptions of the 9 types and how to find out where you fit. Its real distinguishing feature is a breakdown on how each group relates to the others in practical everyday situations. Like what to do if you work for a 7 or what if you are a 7. I wasn't sure which type I was ( I'm a nine) and I read all the rest first. I kept trying to fit myself into a 7 or a 5 but, when I read the 9 chapter it sounded like he reached into my heart and pulled out the things no one else knows about me. I can still feel it today. Then they go on with more, practical info and advise about what to do with your new found knowlege. I've since read "Wisdom of the Enneagram" and "Personality Types." They are also very good but I wouldn't recommend them as your first Enneagram book.
- If you already have Goldberg's excellent "Getting Your Boss's Number" you probably don't need this volume. This volume however makes Goldberg's perceptive analysis and effective writing available in paperback (earlier title is out of print).
Goldberg's work is not quite as casual in style as Renee Baron's delightful works ("Enneagram Made Easy" and "Am I Your Type"), but it will appeal much more to the no-nonsense business world. His examples of people at different points on the Enneagram are drawn from his business experience and effectively highlight the types of challenges and opportunities that work presents differently to individuals, depending on their Enneagram dynamics. I cannot imagine anyone not being fascinated and empowered by looking at themselves, their coworkers, and their family through Goldberg's careful presentation. He is respectful of all and does not approach Enneagram as a "pigeon-holing" or "typing" process. Rather it's an appreciation of strengths and challenges. From a background in psychology, I especially appreciate his discussion of the underlying dynamics and likely sources of how family experience helps us slide into certain Enneagram-number ways of operating. So much more readable and better-organized that most of the "classics" in Enneagram. If you enjoy processing and sharing insights about how humans function, you may also want to explore Baron's titles. The latter are excellent for a casual chat around the family room - then those who like to really APPLY the principles to their work and life will want to move into Goldberg.
- I had studied the Enneagram for several years and knew it was useful in business, so I was pleased to see this book come out as the first I'd seen applying the Enneagram to the business environment. I was not disappointed in what it delivered. While the author has developed some unique Enneagram terminology (i.e. the "ally point") that I don't necessarily agree with, his understanding and descriptions of each Enneagram Type and how they manifests their unconscious agendas in the workplace, as well as how to respond to them in the most productive way, was excellent. For example, his description of what makes a Type 6 tick, and how to best work with a 6, so helped me in understanding better one of my own work colleagues, that single insight alone made the book worthwhile for me. I highly recommend this book, and I also recommend reading "Discovering Your Personality Type", by Don Riso and Russ Hudson, for a good introduction to Enneagram basics.

4 comments about What We May Be.
- I discovered this gem about 10 years ago at a time when I was searching for a way to change my life, to be happier, and to make some sense of the things going on. There is no psycho-babble in this book. Instead, what you find are very simple exercises designed to take you along a path. The exercises are deceivingly simple. At first, I thought that just reading them was enough, and I did feel better just reading them. But when I actually took the time to do one, I discovered that I felt EVEN BETTER, so I began from the beginning, working through every exercise.
For years, this book has been my secret, the tool that I used to help me that I didn't share with anyone. Now that I'm busy creating the life I have always wanted, I understand that there is enough for everyone, and want to share this book with the world. If you want to change your life, if you are seeking for something you can't quite describe, this book may just have your answers. But don't make my m! ! istake and just read it--do the exercises!! That made all the difference for me.
- Peter Ferrucci enriches Roberto Assagioli's Psychosynthesis and gives many gentle step-by-step guided journeys and meditations that assist the reader to experience the vast love and unlimited knowledge of the soul.
In this classic book Mr. Ferruci reveals his highly creative artistry with words that inspire. Using his excellence as a trained psychologist and spiritual leader, he has produced a very fine synthesis of transforming one's personality through spiritual contact. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who is awakening to the spiritual world.
- Anyone who feels they'd like to develop their own wholeness further, who'd like to delve into a realm of peace and calm within, might find this book very helpful. The book gives many many very diverse meditation and visualization exercises. It is great even for the beginner, since it starts with very simple, and yet suprisingly so effective little exercises.
The book is also an introduction to Psychosynthesis, a guide for enhancing psychological and spiritual growth. It is a philosophy of self-actualization and the art of living. The basic premise is, that we need to combine all the split-off or repressed parts within us into a harmonious whole to feel fully alive and free. In easy chapters, the different concepts are introduced to the reader. Definitely worthwhile reading!
- I definitely recommend this book for not only those interested in Psychosynthesis, but those interested in introducing clients to guided imagery, meditation and self-reflective exercises.

5 comments about Reinventing Yourself: How To Become The Person You've Always Wanted To Be.
- Ok, so the audio version would maybe have been more lyrical if Steve had a different person read it, like someone with passion in their voice. (I still love ya Steve!) However, I do like books read to me by the author, since it is their wisdom they are sharing.
This audio series really woke me up again, like many of Steve's books. I sadly related myself to the "victim" mentality. When Steve gives examples of how "victims" handle situations, he was honestly reading my mind. It really got my attention.
Then he describes how "owners" think. Being a small business owner and wanting to succeed, I really had to stop and listen. I was shocked to hear how owners think in their heads. I then realized I had a choice; do I want to think like an 'owner' or a 'victim'?
Other points throughout the series really made me stand up and think. He describes a scene on the Today show where Matt Lauer is trying to get a row out of Tiger Woods' father, Earl Woods, after hearing a negative comment from Fuzzy Zoeller. Earl never, ever is offended by the comments. He puts it back on Fuzzy, saying that Fuzzy has the problem. Victims are offended everyday, while Owners see that others have the problem. Wow!
If you truly want to change and get out of your victim mode and change your life, this is a valuable asset that is worth every penny. I like audio versions because I can listen to them over and over again, especially riding around in the car, which I have to do anyway. It's a valueable time where I can change my thinking and therefore change my life.
Thanks Steve!
Annie Bathgate
- This guy is awesome. So practical, so direct. No condescension, no preaching. Zero chaff. 100% content.
One (actual) example. I just pour out some hurt to my GF about my job. One client who is such a problem that if one our guys so much as *annoys* her, she could get a contract canceled that would get 4 of our guys laid off. An impossible to please person with a lot of power.
So I tell my GF. Cold person that she can be, she automatically *defends* this person, saying that we're just miffed that she has the power. Now, I'm thinking about the 4 families that would be knocked right out if this goes down (including mine), so I'm appalled that this is the first thing that comes out of her mouth (you know, before "gee hon, I'm sorry" or "why would anyone be that way?")
So as soon as she lets me out of the room, I go into the next room, and decide to try to somehow rise above this.
I pop in CD2 of this series, and I just want to *feel* angry, hurt, justified, etc. Well, Chandler won't let me, and he explains convincingly how are "aren't" (i.e., can't *identify* completely with) our feelings any more than we "are" a banged knee (and the pain associated with that), and why. He's 100% dead on. Now if he was in any way preachy, I'd have the opportunity to feel guilt, or get defensive (and thus avoid action). Not possible. He is so clear, and so right-on. I'm not feeling convicted. I am redirected. So uncommon.
So I go right back in the bedroom (why should *I* sleep on the couch?), stick some pillows between us, and get the night's sleep I need to face the week ahead (and the pending situation).
The girlfriend? Time to weigh my options. I have choices. We always do.
The book/audio? I highly recommend it.
- For anyone interested in purchasing this audio book, please be advised that I've recieved not just One but TWO damaged versions of "Reinvent Yourself" and have given up. I will probably buy the book from the local bookstore. I don't think it's HamiltonBooks fault, but they must have some sketchy products in their inventory, you never know what you'll get. Maybe that's why this item is sold by them for the low price of $3.95 plus shipping. Just a warning...
- As individuals we may have issues that have developed over the years that affect our lives, sometimes in negative ways, and that we may not be aware of. This book is clear, concise, and very helpful in moving ourselves forward into a time & place that are both satisfying and fulfilling.
- This was a stupid book and I got very little out of it. There is nothing new in it that hasn't been said many times in many books before or just dah-common sense. Marketing ploy. Waste of money.

5 comments about Becoming Human.
- Jean Vanier is my favorite philosopher and spiritual thinker, and although he's a Christian, his teachings have tremendous appeal to people of all religious or non-religious perspectives. What a wonderful, wonderful human being. God bless him! Growing up, I used to eagerly watch Jean Vanier's TV program where he talks about the importance of love and relationship with others, what he calls communion and forming community. And in his sermons he always emphasizes how relationship with a person you care about is more important than material gain. He talks about how materialism satisfies the senses but it leaves an aching emptiness of the soul, which can only be filled by a spiritual relationship with God and an emotional relationship with other people, all based on love. What I love about Vanier's teachings is how he challenges us to open ourselves up to outsiders, especially to those that society sees as weak, different, or inferior, and that by opening up our hearts to them, we can help heal our own inner brokenness as well as theirs. Our world values strength and achievement, but by embracing weakness, we reach a higher inner level of personal compassion and understanding. It's all about learning to accept a person just as he is, rather than shutting oneself off from him simply because he isn't what you expect. It's about unconditional friendship through love, and love through friendship. The people in this world who understand this message and the few who actually live it are truly the blessed of God.
David Rehak
author of "A Young Girl's Crimes"
- The book entails the material of five talks that its author, Jean Vanier, gave on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation radio program. Vanier is the founder of "L'Arche," which is an international network in more than 30 countries for people with intellectual disabilities.
The author comments that the book springs from his experience of humanness and not directly from his life of faith. In this sense the book is more about anthropology than about spirituality. "This book is about the liberation of the human heart from the tentacles of chaos and loneliness," writes its author, "and from those fears that provoke us to exclude and reject others. It is a liberation that opens us up and leads us to the discovery of our common humanity" (5). Among the subjects addressed in the chapters are the following: loneliness, belonging, inclusion, freedom and forgiveness. The author argues that by opening ourselves to outsiders we can achieve true personal and societal freedom, which includes the freedom to become truly human.
- Vanier mixes timeless truth with a dash of storytelling in this quick read, reaching back into his earliest experiences with the mentally disabled for examples on `becoming human.'
He argues that manifestations of weakness should not be avoided out of ignorance: Now-vigorous people often shun those less fortunate than themselves in the mistaken belief their places will never be reversed. By accepting weakness, however, and by embracing it, such individuals come closer to understanding what it really means to be human.
This work is based upon a series of talks Vanier gave through CBC radio, as well as several lectures he conducted at the University of Toronto. The resulting notes and transcripts were brought together in a single manuscript, which Vanier did little to edit. Instead, he merely added small blocks of text to ease the transition from one thought to another.
As a consequence, the book is given to redundancy in areas where the lecture notes and CBC transcripts probably overlap. These raw text dumps are so distracting they detract from the book's message; and the material, though offered up in thematic chapters, doesn't have any real sense of order.
The author would have done better to rewrite this book based upon his notes, rather than borrowing directly from them. In that way, he could have formed better links between each topic, while at the same time weeding out any glaring repetition.
- I was profoundly moved by this book--it is far more insightful, better written, and more sincere than just about any other "spiritual" discourse. Vanier is not someone to promote himself and his ideas. Instead, this short book is straight from the heart of a brilliant man. If only more people read this instead of so much self-indulgent new age literature.
I cannot recommend this strongly enough.
- Dear friends, In a country, and where, our thinking ought to be less self-indulgence and more communion with others, "Becoming Human" is a wondeerful and insightful gift on how to heal ourselves so we can see everyone else. I loved this book!

5 comments about See You at the Top = Formerly Entitled Biscuits, Fleas, and Pump Handles (Motivational Series).
- I have read this book at least 6 times in the past 15 years and it gets better each time I read it. I always find some new
gold nugget I didn't pickup the last time I read it. Zig Ziglar use to sell cookware door to door. And his knowledge and techniques he shares in this book are not rehashed from hearsay but from actual experiences of his climb to the top. If you want to keep climbing to the top(in wealth, health, and happiness)this book is a must read!! By the way, in life, there's always another step to take to get to the top of the mountain in our journey of life. This book can help you get there.
- I have to admit that I didn't initially like Zig Ziglar. He came across like a used car salesman, untill I really listened to his message.
Zig is funny, entertaining, motivating and when need be deadly serious. See You At The Top has been a best seller since 1975. I recently re-read this great book and felt recharged! Zig is awesome. While a lot of what he says is not new, it's worth getting a jolt once in awhile and to recharge your batteries. I recommend reading this book at least once per year.
-
This is an inspirational and informative book on how you can achieve remarkable success, wealth, confidence, peace and joy in your life by adopting the right attitude, positive self-image, setting challenging but achievable goals, adopting a productive work ethic, establishing good loving relationships with others, among other things. By the use of numerous and enlightening stories, Zig Ziglar shows the reader the way to the top and how we can improve our careers, our relationships and our destiny.
This insightful book explains how you can build a strong belief, confidence and how to get into the action habit in an easy to follow and understand format which makes the book useful to a wide readership. The book pragmatically examines why many people achieve mediocrity or are failures and what it takes to be a winner in a big way.
This is a self-help book, a how-to book on how you can get anything you want in life. I treat reading the book as a process of continuous learning about my personal vision, goals, self-image, human relations and desires both at work and in my family. I use it as my guide for dealing with people and in integrating the different responsibilities in my life, encompassing my professional, family and personal responsibilities.
I found the book inspiring, stimulating, thought provoking and very interesting. I refer to the book often to energize my spirit and to keep me thinking positively and avoiding being bogged down by trivialities.
- Served as my handbook for motivation for quite a while now. It is good to have a copy in your personal library.
- This book is without doubt, an amazing classic! I first read this book just out of my teenage years. It developed my thinking in a way that has served me in many areas of my life for over 20 years now (o.k., well, almost 30 :). Zig Ziglar gave me my life creed through this book. That is, 'To get everything you want in life, help enough other people get what they want.' Every person on the planet should read this book. Every serious student of personal development should read it at least once a year.

5 comments about It's a Wonderful Lie: 26 Truths About Life in Your Twenties.
- I was in Borders when I stumbled along this book and thought " What a clever title and concept." As a twenty something professional in higher education that deals with early twenty something women on a regular basis, I highly recommend this book. It is a quick read but able to be put down and picked back up easily. There were times when I shook my head in agreement and laughed aloud hysterically.
- As a twenty-something, I picked up this book for obvious reasons. It was so heartening to learn that what I am going through, other women have gone through and no one has all the answers no matter what path you choose. I plan to share this book with all of my girlfriends.
- It isn't set up like I expected it to be, but it's definately the truth. hah.
- This book is the perfect antidote to the quarterlife crisis blues. Covering all topics ranging from love relationships to housing to careers to friends, whatever is bothering you, there will be an essay reminding you that yes, your 20s aren't that great, but no, you definitely aren't alone, and, the best news: you'll survive, and likely end up far happier and fulfilled than you think you will. Overall, an inspiring read, with little bites of wisdom and, yes, perspective.
- I really enjoyed the heart felt and brutally honest stories in this book. Being a women in her 20's, this book spoke to me greatly.Every girl should read this at least once while in her twenties or even in her thirties just to have a laugh. I've been the girl in each of these stories and it lets me know- I will survive these years of confusion, frustrations and let-downs.

5 comments about Success Built to Last: Creating a Life that Matters.
- The good: a. sound advice, time proven principles - and inspiring. Many of you who read success type books probably know most of this stuff...but for it to work you have to feel it - and in hearing the personal stories and the data collected here has inspired me to actually do the right thing rather than think about doing the right thing.
b. how they got their information -not just from surveys -but from interviews - from people who don't normally grant this sort of access. that's a lot more believable than information garnered from a survey.
the bad: despite advising readers to 'not be a politically correct' (they misuse the phrase) the authors are just that - hand-picking this or that gender or minority to illustrate their points that would probably have been illustrated better by someone else. It didn't seem authentic to me and it really undermines the book.
- Passion is the new differentiator. To quote the authors, "if you don't love what you're doing, you'll lose to someone who does." Larry Bossidy, former chairman and CEO of Honeywell International, Inc. and AlliedSignal and author (et. al.) of Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done and Confronting Reality: Doing What Matters to Get Things Right calls love "a competitive imperative." According to (retired) Brigadier General Clara Adams-Ender, "you can survive without loving it, but you will be second-rate...not knowing why you're there will take your power away."
Success Built to Last's underlying premise is that an individual's meaningful engagement is a necessary condition for a healthy, sustainable society. Indeed, their position is that "great organizations and societies can only be built by human beings who can grow and create meaningful success." Thus, passion is both a personal and leadership imperative. Building on the findings of Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies, the authors' research indicates that a core ideology - values and purpose - generally trumps the big idea as an indicator of success at the organizational, career and personal levels.
This premise is fleshed out in conversations with a diverse group of leaders and influencers around questions of success, leadership and balance. Key out-takes:
On Success: "Until you `figure out what success means' to you personally and to your organization, leadership is an almost `pointless conversation.'" - Peter Drucker
On Leadership: "The job of leadership today is not just to make money, it's to make meaning." - John Seely Brown, USC Visiting Scholar and former Chief Scientist, Xerox Corporation
On Balance: "Balance is bull%$#&." - Keith Ferrazzi, author of Never Eat Alone: And Other Secrets to Success, One Relationship at a Time
Distilling extensive interview material and survey data, the authors derive three essential elements for Success Built to Last: (1) Meaning, (2) "ThoughtStyle" or the head game, and (3) "ActionStyles" or ability to execute. Net net: by aligning your thoughts and actions with your definition of meaning, you will be best positioned to achieve enduring success.
The power and possibility of this book isn't the meaning + mindset + action formula per se, but the "success is just a little past splat" perspective. Creating a life that matters isn't easy, but neither is living a life of quiet desperation. From knights and CEOs to poets, pundits, former presidents and former prostitutes, the interviewees all overcame significant challenges to achieve success on their own terms. If you dare to believe you can change a life or, perhaps, the world - this is your playbook.
- This is a wonderful book. I also highly recommend Emery Stewart's two previous books, "Actualizations..." and "The Owners Manual for Your Life.....".
These books are based on the realities of life, not an unattainable fantasy.
Do yourself a favor and get these books!
- The success of "Built To Last" must have attracted many business/management book readers who seldom read self improvement books to "Success Built To Last". Otherwise, the percentage of 5 star reviews should have been lower. The key findings (backed by a 750 sample survey) is very similar to the preachings commonly found in most self help books of the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and "Awaken the Giant Within" genre. Not really remarkable nor well organized, despite the abundance of opinion of successful and renowned people of our time. Nevertheless, still worth the time and the price.
p.s. I would like to share with you my most favorite passage in the book.
"If I see something I dont like, I try to change it, and if I cant change it, I change my position of looking at it, and then by seeing it from a different angle, I might be able to change it; or I might find some good in it that I can use, which might make it change itself." - Maya Angelou
- "If I see something I don't like, I try to change it, and if I can't change it, I change my position of looking at it, and then by seeing it from a different angle, I might be able to change it; or I might find some good in it that I can use, which might make it change itself." - Maya Angelou
Imagine discovering what successful people have in common, distilling it into a set of simple practices and using them to transform your company, your career and your life. This is what this book is all about. The authors draw on conversations with over 200 hundred remarkable people from around the world, including billionaires, CEOs, presidents of nations, Nobel laureates and celebrities.
Enduringly successful people tell us that when success just means wealth, fame and power, it doesn't last and it isn't satisfying. Successful people insist that success may never come without a compelling personal commitment to something you care about and would be willing to do without counting on wealth, fame, power or public acceptance as an outcome. They become lovers of an idea they are passionate about, creating something that continually seduces them into obsessing over every detail and losing track of the passage of time. In a real sense, it's something that they'd be willing to do for free, for its own sake. They do it because it matters to them, brings personal fulfillment, lasting relationships, and makes a difference in the world in which we live. To achieve this, all you have is your personal capital, and that's not your money: it's your talents, skills, relationships and enthusiasm.
The authors say that it's dangerous not to do what you love. The harsh truth is that if you don't love what you're doing, you'll lose to someone who does. You must choose a path that you love because only then will you have the goodhearted stubbornness to stretch for your full potential and survive the inevitable slings and arrows that await you on your journey.
Be warned: The relentless irritation of not loving what you do makes you a pain to be around and has been clinically proven to chip away at your health. "We spend our health building our wealth," said author and financial adviser Robert T. Kiyosaki. "Then we desperately spend our wealth to hang onto our remaining health."
The authors say that cultural norms pressure you to have a "balanced" life split into neat little slices. Enduringly successful people, many of whom live a life that's a gift to the world, don't raise balance as a major issue because they were all busy doing what mattered to them. It's a struggle for everyone at some point. If you're feeling a twinge of guilt about balance, there is a probability that you don't want more balance, but need more of something that you can't admit you want. What you hunger for is a place for all of your passions.
People become fascinated by the lifestyles of the rich and famous. It may be tempting to believe you can find success by studying their stories and assuming that whatever she or he did is a road map you can follow. But according to the authors, that's a dead end. That's not what billionaires or the best CEOs do. If there is one value they all share in common, it is integrity to what matters to them, and that makes a difference in their lives and work. Whenever they are faced with a decision, they look to find meaning in that opportunity that is very personal to them. They do not waste their time if it doesn't matter. What helps successful people stay successful is their stubbornness about sticking with their own journey based on their own values, not a magic path followed precisely by everyone else. The lesson here is that you shouldn't hijack someone else's value system. To do so would be a violation of integrity to what matters in your life. If you find it impossibly tedious to become an expert about what you think matters to you, then you're not chasing a dream, you're just daydreaming. You can't claim the buried treasure if you aren't willing to dig for it.
The authors say that your personality is not what determines enduring success. It's what you do with your personality that counts.
Most highly accomplished people described themselves as so proficient at making mistakes that, if you didn't know better, you might think they were losers. If there were just one thing that every enduringly successful person had in common, it is that they are all really great at failure.
Enduringly successful people go to work dealing with a problem directly instead of struggling to put a smile on their face. They don't pretend to be happy when things go wrong and they refuse to completely surrender to the current disappointment. They just harvest what they can from the setback and keep taking action. The defeat you've had matters less than what you ultimately want to create.
The ideas in this book are some of the best I've read in a while. This is a highly motivational book that will pave the way to your enduring success in a life that matters!
