5 comments about Care of the Soul : A Guide for Cultivating Depth and Sacredness in Everyday Life.
  1. This book was atrocious. My friends shrink recommended it to him for a read to help him, and I was wondering why he was walking around even more confused in life so I decided to buy it and see why. I now understand. I would like to consider myself very intelligent, but this book is not an easy read, at all. I found myself rereading pages just to try and understand it. The average person would get lost in all the fancy jargon. I found myself skimming the pages toward the end hoping someone would put me out of my misery. Would not recommend.

  2. The new paradigm Moore presents for psychology is extrordinary! He permits people self respect and an avenue for growth within depression or other mental disorders. Should be a must read for every one.

  3. I found the book to provide sound, every day recommendations for the care of my soul which has been neglected for many years. The book was recommended by a therapist and it is well worth the time to read it.

  4. This is a creative book in which Thomas Moore synthesizes psychological, spiritual and religious knowledge and beliefs of his into a deeper description and analysis of the idea of a soul. Who among us, with the possible exception of theologians, has spent much time even thinking about what a soul is? We use words like soul, spirit, intuition, instinct, feelings, emotions, etc., all the time, but seldom do we take the time to develop meaning for these words that ring true, or resonate on the level of personal experience. Moore peppers the book with numerous case studies of clients he has counseled. These examples add a great deal of interest and insight into Moore's thinking. He leads us into an examination of soul - what it is, what it might be, what it represents. This journey can serve to expand and open new realms for readers.

He adds depth to the book's message by suggesting that care of the soul works both ways: we care for our soul by listening, nurturing and abiding it. We are also cared for by our soul in the ways that it guides our lives, most often subconsciously. Moore equates aspects of the soul to our psychological shadows and subconscious realm of suppressed and repressed feelings, emotions and desires. His approach offers a useful perspective for better understanding the role of our shadows and for coping with it - including simply accepting the mystery the soul delivers.

This analysis includes a look at the inseparability of our soul from the soul of all-that-is. In doing so, Moore draws the connection between care of the individual's soul and the destiny of the broader ecology.

At times, Moore seems to fall back on his theological training with the Catholic church. These sections feel a little awkward juxtaposed to the deeper spiritual nature of the book. At these times he slips into a bit of a lecturing, imploring tone that, in its certainty, seems out of place in comparison to his celebration of the mysteries of the soul throughout most of the rest of book.

Recommended reading for its creative exploration of these interesting ideas!

  5. The book I was sent was in very good condition, only having a few small water marks at the bottom of a few pages. I would have stated this in the description of the book. Other than that, very clean and appears pretty much like new. Thank you for your honesty and quick delivery! Very satisfied.

5 comments about A Thousand Names for Joy: Living in Harmony with the Way Things Are.
  1. I love this book. A great recommendation from the folks at [...] where I watched all the video clips and felt the direct power and grace of The Work she is doing with everyone. Loving What Is, the title of her first book, says it all, but A Thousand Names For Joy: Living in Harmony with the Way Things Are arrived first in the mail. Joy is joy, and the laughter came freely in every short chapter of this, Katie's meditation inspired by her husband Stephen Mitchell's translation of the Tao Te Ching. About half way through, Loving What Is arrived and I read that perfect introduction to The Work, Katie's reality check and guide to self-inquiry, before continuing with A Thousand Names For Joy. There may not be easy laughs on every page for you, but there is amazing grace there. I have, of course, ordered Katie's other books and preordered her next one. I find her to be the most quotable of writer-teachers, thus the title of her most recent book, Question Your Thinking, Change the World: Quotations from Byron Katie. And here, from A Thousand Names For Joy, is the passage that prompted me to write this review:

"Beyond what the mind can see is kinder than what it sees--that's the privilege of an open mind. Kindness resonates with the way things are. Kindness is sipping a cup of tea without the thought that I'm even sipping it. It's like being my own plant, feeling myself being watered, beyond any thought that that's what I even need. It's the sound of rain against the window, the gift of the sound of rain in my ears, the gift of life, which I did nothing to deserve. Kindness prepares what I am to eat in the next season. It even leaves a rainbow. It's infinite. It's the hair that protects my head in the sun, the ground that supports the floor. There's nothing that isn't kind. A death accomplishes what ordinary life could never do, letting you experience what is beyond identification: the bodiless self, mind infinitely free.

"When you realize where you come from, no imagination can move you to believe that you are separate. Everything is seen for what it is, and you understand that no one is in danger of losing anything but his identification. And in that forever good news, in the face of everything that appears to be real, only kindness remains. It's nothing that can be taught. It's an experience; it's self-delight. When I give to you without motive, I am delighted. I act with kindness because I like myself when I do that. That kindness can only be to myself. It doesn't include anyone else, not even the apparent receiver. I am both giver and receiver, and that's all that matters.

"The whole world belongs to me, because I live in the last story, the last dream: woman sitting in chair with cup of tea. I look out the window, and whatever I see is my world. There's nothing beyond that, not one thought. This world is enough for me. Anything I ever need to do or be is in this unlimited space. It's enough to accomplish my purpose, and my purpose is to sit here now and sip my tea. I can imagine a world outside what I can see, and as it happens I prefer this one. It is always more beautiful here, wherever I am, than any story of a future or a past. The here and now is where I can make a difference. It's what I live out of. Nothing more is required."

  2. I enjoyed this book and got a lot out of it because it ties in the mindfulness aspect of The Work with the theosophy of the Tao Te Jing such that the Tao helps clarify why The Work is truly helpful. I recommend this to anyone interested in looking at their thoughts and feelings with greater honesty and responsibility.

  3. I absolutely loved this book! It empowers me to but things in perspective and find the joy in the moment. I have read the book numerous times in the last 9 month's it's one of those books I'll reread the rest of this human experience. I also purchased the CD set of Byron Katie reading the book....it doesn't seem like she is reading...just sharing. Her gentleness and love is heart felt. My husband and I listened to it on our way back home in the car, 12 hours. It was joyfull! In it she shares her experiences as a Lover of What Is and what that looks life as a human organism, a wife, a mother, a teacher, you know all the labels we put on ourselves and others. Anyway...ENJOY YOUR LIFE!

  4. I have read this book a couple of times and find it insightful and helpful in guiding me to true understanding of where I need to be. If you like Eckhart Tolle and want something more to guide you , this is the book. If you want to get past all your anger and frustrations , this book will lead you there gently.

  5. If you could read the words of Buddha or Jesus in their native tongues, in the era they were alive, wouldn't you want to? It is a rare treat for an English speaker to read the words of a spiritual master in contemporary phrasing, in our native language, in a personal and virtually unedited format. For this reason, "A Thousand names for Joy" is and will prove to be a classic. This is Life described in Katie's own words, her own style, and it allows access to a perspective unhindered in the great Way. Without trying to, she speaks in some of the most beautiful poetry I have heard, and her delight and love of what Is is communicated in an easy, subtle way. I am often astonished at how it leaves me in a space of understanding her way of seeing, in a moment of grace. What a gift! I can't stop re-reading this book. It is among the most powerful books I have come across in my life. She embodies the taoist Master perfectly, and anyone looking for spiritual insight will find this book to be a jewel.

5 comments about The 5-Minute Plantar Fasciitis Solution.
  1. I have spent a lot of money on my foot with this problem. After reading this book and doing the recommended treatment. I am healing. I have had Plantar Fascitis for over two years. This is the only thing that has worked for me.

  2. This pamphlet/workbook seemed a bit overpriced for such a small book, but it's worth every penny. The therapy described in the book is effective and easy to accomplish. I have some trouble with the stretches described first thing in the morning owing to general stiffness overall, but have discovered that I can use a proStretch device (also available at amazon.com with supersaver shipping) to accomplish the morning stretches. It almost seems unlikely that the exercises in this book can be so effective as they are. Yet only two weeks ago I was worried about how I would be able to manage this fall's teaching work up on my feet. Now, I don't have any significant plantars fasciitis pain at all. In addition to these really effective simple foot stretches, the book evaluates other therapies for treating PF by researching medical studies. The author concludes that additional helpful measures include calf stretching and some arch support in shoes (I chose Tuli diamondbacks - very effective and small, also with free supersaver shipping). If you are really suffering from PF, I think this is worth your time to try it.

  3. I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars only because of the cost. I had tried many suggestions found online, from my Dr. & even from a PT to help my Plantar Fasciitis. This book has one simple exercise that takes a total of 5 mins. a day and it REALLY WORKS. At first I was skeptical because it is similar to a stretch given to me by a PT but the secret seems to be in the timing of when you do it. I won't say anymore so as not to give away the author's secret! As other readers have stated, the book also offers information on the topic in a quick & easy to read format. Although I hated paying so much for a short & simple book that I won't use again, the relief of pain is worth far more than the price of the book!

  4. Best solution I've tried yet. Still in the recoup stage, but for the money, a good buy.

  5. Simple instructions. In fact, too simple, I thought. After going to the Podiatrist 5 times, and getting shot after shot, he finally said "the only option left is surgery". I didn't like the prospect, so I decided to go it on my own, and ordered this book. I obviously can't tell you if your problem will be cured by this book, I can only tell you mine was. An Easy read with big letters and great, easy to understand pictures. I only wish I would have found it months sooner. It looks too simple, but it works !!!

5 comments about The Sedona Method: Your Key to Lasting Happiness, Success, Peace and Emotional Well-Being.
  1. This book is an excellent read for anyone on the path of personal development. Initially I thought "Why would I want to dive into THAT feeling?" But I read through the introduction and learned a little more about the techniques and was pleasantly surprised at the immediate improvement in my mood and emotion. The Sedona Method offers practical and effective key strategies. I refer back to the text quite often. This book should definitely be included in your wellness library!

  2. just started reading but I am truy enjoying this book.
    Great price as well!

  3. Imagine if you could let go of any unwanted feelings . . . even better,
think about how great it would be if you had a simple procedure
that could help you achieve this state of mind in a very short period
    of time.

That's the basis of THE SEDONA METHOD by Hale Dwoskin . . . the author actually gives
you all the information that you would learn in one of his seminars.

For example, to begin letting go, all you need to do is follow these
    five steps:

    * Step 1: Focus on an issue that you would like to feel better about,
and then allow yourself to feel whatever you are feeling in this moment.

Step 2: Ask yourself one of the following three questions:

Could I let this feeling go?
Could I allow this feeling to be here?
    Could I welcome this feeling?

Step 3: No matter which question you started with, ask yourself this
simple question: Would I? In other words: Am I willing to let go?

Step 4: Ask yourself this simpler question: When?

Step 5: Repeat the preceding four steps as often as needed until you feel
    free of that particular feeling.

This seems so basic, yet the more I practice doing the above, the
more it seems to get me "unstuck" from situations that have
previously bothered me . . . part of this has to do with the tendency
we all too often have to ask, "Why?" . . . Swoskin notes:

    * Wanting to understand or figure out why, or from where, problems
arise can also be a major obstacle to letting them go. For we
have to hold on to our problems in order to figure them out. Interestingly,
if there is something that's important for you to understand, letting go
of wanting to understand often brings the understanding that you've been
seeking with a lot less effort. Ask yourself a question: Would I rather
understand my problems or just be free of them? If you would rather
be free, I highly recommend letting go of wanting to figure them out.

As for the value of following the advice in THE SEDONA METHOD,
I think nothing points it out better than the following passage:

    * There are a few important keys to improving relationships that are often
overlooked. One is mutuality. If you are doing something internally
or externally that is not mutual with your partner, it will only frustrate
you both. Here is a simple example taken from my relationship with
my wife. I used to enjoy only seeing "guy flicks," and Amy only wanted
to see "chick flicks." It caused a dilemma with our TV watching
and movie-going. Instead of trying to impose our will on each other,
or assuming that one of us had to sacrifice for the other, which
wouldn't have been a mutual solution, we openly discussed the issue,
released our feelings about it, and began to identify movies that
we both could enjoy. In fact, because we released to gain mutuality,
we both are now more open to the other's tastes in movies and rarely
disagree about our choices. When we do disagree, we simply go
to see the movie our partner chose, if we feel mutual, or we go alone
or with another friend. Either way, we're both a lot happier. I even enjoy
most chick flicks now as much as I enjoy guy flicks. Amy likewise enjoys
    some guys flicks.

One other thing I especially liked about the book were the many quotes
from folks who have undergone training from Dwoskin or his associates.

Such training--or reading THE SEDONA METHOD--should prove helpful
to anybody who has ever had to inappropriately suppress his
    or her feelings.

  4. I purchased this book at a time when my life has been crashing in around me. I have been applying the principles of the book to my situation. It hasn't really changed what is happening BUT I have NOT been lock up in fear so that I am frozen in the life circumstance. I am able to think more clearly and work on solutions. The PEACE that I have received from letting go of the fear has been remarkable. Thank you Hale Dwoskin for sharing your insight with me.The Sedona Method: Your Key to Lasting Happiness, Success, Peace and Emotional Well-Being

5 comments about Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class (Second Edtion).
  1. This is the best exercise/health book I have ever purchased. Well illustrated and written. If you do Bikram Yoga this is a definite book to have.

  2. After taking Bikram Yoga classes for five months, I bought this book, and my practice will never be the same! Bikram breaks down every pose, through pictures and words, allowing you to truly understand what the body should look like and how it should feel in each pose. Even better, he also shows you through words and pictures how the body shouldn't look, allowing you to know what you are doing wrong. I would recommened this book to any Bikram Yogi, as well as anyone who is interested in a great work out for not only your body, but for your mind as well.

  3. This is a great book for Bikram lovers! Nice pictures of all the postures in his beginning series. Also dicusses the right way and the realistic way of doing the poses. "26 postures, 2 breathing exercises, every day!" Bikram created this sequence with his teacher Bishnu Gosh after Bikram blew out a knee in a weightlifting accident. Doing this sequence healed his knee without needing the surgery the doctors where recomending. I love the Bikram quote "you can [...] with the Gods, but you cannot [...] with the knees!" Lots of people experience this truth for themselves when they jump into a yoga practice with a little to much gusto:)

  4. I bought the CDs set for 24 dollars becuase I thought there would be some videos that would help me to make perfect postures but to my surprise the CDs are just Audio. I mean what the heck??? How can one get the idea of what Bikram is blabering???? Total wastage of the money and CD don't even work properly if you try to copy them to your disc. How sad and pathetic...

  5. The style is a bit annoying to read but the explanation of poses along with the (extremely dated) photos is very helpful especially for beginners.

I read the book through once... then realized that it is broken up into 2 parts -- for each pose. The top portion is for advanced students who have a general idea of the poses. The bottom portion is for complete beginners. Although Bikram writes in the book that someone who has never taken a class can follow the book, I would highly disagree with that. I think you need to have gone to a few classes to get a general idea of the flow, then you can read about each poses and tips to get a deeper stretch/proper form.

I wish they would have redone the photos for the updated copy. Now that I have read through it once, I find that I go back to it for reference for some of the poses I find more challenging. I would highly recommend this book.

5 comments about The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Fable About Fulfilling Your Dreams & Reaching Your Destiny.
  1. International best-seller, "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari" is a short fable or story about a high powered lawyer who suffers a personal loss and embarks on a life of workaholism, materialism and emptiness. When he suffers a life threatening heart attack he determines to put the essential luxuries of purpose, peace and happiness back into his life. He travels to the Himalayas and spends time with the Sivana monks, who teach him wisdom of life.

This book is chock full of simple habits and rituals to include in one's life to nurture your body, mind and spirit. The advice within is compellingly framed and concise, making use of symbolism to remember the key concepts.

Picture the following sequence. What can this mean?

You are sitting in a wondrous, beautiful flower garden. In the middle there is a red, six story lighthouse. Suddenly, there is a creaking from the base of the lighthouse and out comes a 290lb Japanese sumo wrestler. He is wearing a simple, pink wire cable sheath. The sumo wrestler spots a shiny stopwatch. He picks it up and immediately falls to the ground. It appears that he has taken his last breath, when suddenly he comes back to life. He then gets up and looks over at a beautiful group of yellow roses nearby. Finally, he exits the garden by a path of beautiful diamonds...

How can you draw upon your deep reservoir of mental fortitude and inner strength that you possess? As most accomplished people know, never stop learning and actively expand your wisdom about life. As many great leaders do each and every day, take time out for reflection, including self-reflection. To not do so is akin to being too busy driving to put gas in your (beautiful) car (you). Awaken with the sun and cultivate a positive mindset and an attitude of gratefulness. Savor the present. Make music an integral part of your life. Build your character by taking specific actions. Simplify your life as much as you can for enhanced peace of mind. Thus, you will leave time for the things that matter most. Specifically, those things that will make the most difference in the long run. Always cultivate your virtues of industry, compassion, humility, patience, honesty and last but not least, courage.

This little gem of a book is inexpensive. It's entertaining. It's a quick read. It will be three hours of your valuable time very well spent. You might learn nothing new. Or, perhaps you will see your life more clearly than ever before. Perhaps you will be pleasantly surprised and this book will unexpectedly improve the quality of your life.

  2. I Had previously read the book and I loved it so much that I bought it from Amazon.com. It is an excellent book to have on your night table and a tool to implement good things into your life. Certainly brings you enlightment and help to improve your life!

  3. Its amazing that all of these books say the same thing the Bible says but people would rather trust a human for advice than their maker. I give this book 4 stars because it does follow the Bible. It may sound off the wall to some but that would depend on their desperation.

  4. If you ever need to read a self-help book, you only need to read this one.

  5. I got 1/2 way through the book and loved it. However, my puppy decided to take it from my nightstand and eat it as an appetizer. So I never got to finish it.

5 comments about Living the Wisdom of the Tao: The Complete Tao Te Ching and Affirmations.
  1. Dr. Dyer writes in a down-to-earth style easily understood by anyone. His books may hold information one knows already, but just reading them tends to bring the words home and helps one to make positive changes in one's life.

  2. This is a good translation of Lao Tzu's masterpiece. The wording is clear and concise.

  3. Wayne Dyer is an enlightened human being. His outlook on life derives from many years of mastery. I especially like his affirmations related to intention.

  4. I'm looking forward to reading this challenging book that may help me with my life. I received it promptly and thank you.

  5. The Tao is the way, the truth, and the universe. Lao Tzu wrote 81 simple yet profound verses that transcended the fundamental reality of life. Life is about living in harmony with yin and yang. Without darkness, there can be no light.

Too often, we struggle against the waves when we can just flow with them. We keep searching outside, when we should be mastering inside. We want more, when we really need less. We follow other people's routines, when we could be creating our own rituals.

"The Tao that can be spoken of is not the true Tao."

The Tao is something to be experienced. Words are just fingers pointing at the moon. Don't focus on the finger, or you will miss all that heavenly glory.

Living in the Tao is like flying. You can follow footprints and formulas to climb the mountains so you can leap off the edge, but you can only find yourself when you fly.

This is a MUST read for everyone in the world. If you can read Chinese, the original version is the best. If not, go to the library and preview the version that connects best with you. I always read at least 30 pages of a book before I buy them. I read 1500 wpm, so this only takes 5 minutes.

I recommend Dr. Wayne Dryer's translation of this book based on what others have said. This is the ONLY book in all my reviews that I have not personally used, since I already read the original Chinese translations.

The translations are just the fingers. Find the one that points you best to your moon.

5 comments about The Greatest Salesman in the World.
  1. Time tested truths we all need written in very readable/enjoyable form. Anyone needing help in self discovery will benefit extrordinarily from Og Mandinos offering.

  2. This is an incredible little book. The only criticism is that it is written in masculine terms and I didn't want to be repeating three times
a day that I am a wonderful salesman! So I typed it up myself with
language appropriate to my gender. In so saying, I believe that exercise
gels the scrolls in my consciousness even more so I have given it 5 stars
anyway. Make sure you do the repetitions for the full 30 days as repetition IS the first law of learning. If you don't repeat it, it
    doesn't stay.

  3. There are only so superlatives to describe the writings of Og Mandino. I have included 2 quotes below from his books. The first is similar to something I read by W. Clement Stone 35 years ago. Paraphrasing Stone, in every adversity, seek out the positive and focus your mind on that positive rather than the adversity.

I went around for months repeating in my mind, "find the best in every negative". 35 years later, I can say it still works.

    Og Mandino quotes:

"Search for the seed of good in every adversity. Master that principle and you will own a precious shield that will guard you well through all the darkest valleys you must traverse. Stars may be seen from the bottom of a deep well, when they cannot be discerned from the mountaintop. So will you learn things in adversity that you would never have discovered without trouble. There is always a seed of good. Find it and prosper."

"Let your actions always speak for you, but be forever on guard against the terrible traps of false pride and conceit that can halt your progress. The next time you are tempted to boast, just place your fist in a full pail of water, and when you remove it, the hole remaining will give you a correct measure of your importance."

Incidentally, if you go to Barnes & Noble looking for any of his books, you will find them in the "Religion" section.
The Greatest Salesman in the World

  4. If listening the RAH RAH motivational speeches helps you, you will love Og Mandino. Basically all of his books are pure emotional rally with very little logical advice. Some salespeople feel they need this to keep them pumped up and positive in the face of daily rejection. If this is you, then this is a 5 star book. If you actually want usable advice don't bother with the writings of Mandino. He gives no usable advice.

  5. The first half of the book introduces you to the ancient story of the greatest salesman and his scrolls, but this is quite unnecessary. Next are the scrolls - they have little to do with salesmanship and much more with self motivation/improvement and inspiration, yet they are indeed good. The theistic end to the book (including the last scroll) severely weakens the book's impact, simply because it cannot by its nature be in line with the motivational tone of the preceding scrolls. I'd suggest reading only the scrolls and skipping everything else.

5 comments about Mystical Traveler: How to Advance to a Higher Level of Spirituality.
  1. I expected much more from such a popular personality. Made me feel like, "Hmmm, maybe I'm much more spiritual than I thought. Maybe I should write a book!" Seemed to be aimed at the dimmer bulbs in the room.

  2. It was clear from the beginning that this book would be either a "love it or hate it" type book. I greatly value Sylvia's constant stance that either it's for you or it's not, and if it's not that is quite alright. This is not like her other books that give a wealth of information. This book is specifically about a special calling and I would probably not recommend it to just anyone. However, if you've long felt the need to make the world a better place, but don't quite know how, you should get this book. It might answer that internal question.

I greatly enjoyed the book, and I'll keep this in my personal library forever, unless I recognize someone else who needs to read it. Then I'll give it up reluctantly. Sylvia states many times that if you aren't drawn to do what the book is about, that is okay! You could tell she was very concerned and very careful to make that point, that no one is better than another based on the topic of this book and what it is truly about.

  3. Consider what science says about those who practice New Age:

Rosemary Aird of the University of Queensland studied 3,700 21-year-olds in Brisbane and concluded that New Age spirituality was linked "with higher rates of depression, disturbed...ways of thinking, and anti-social behavior".

Her conclusion: New Age beliefs undermine mental health.

According to Dr David Marks scientific research into psychics has "so far failed to produce a single repeatable finding and, until it does, will continue to be viewed as an incoherent collection of belief systems steeped in fantasy, illusion and error".

Personally, as I read "Mystical Traveler" I was fascinated to find her thinking so scattered and confused. She rambles on almost incoherently, first attacking other churches (Browne founded a church) complaining about other people such as her mother, who was "a dark soul" (p 110), and her third husband who "took money from me, but the adultery and deceit were hardest to bear" (p 44). I don't believe Browne went to jail for it, but she did have to do a lot of community service for the "deceit".

She complains about Christianity, Catholicism, and St Paul whom she snips is "a zealot if there ever was one" (p 53). Here are the actual words of Paul: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

It struck me Browne needed to study those words of Paul "the zealot" more. Also, this is the same woman who states "Any religion that isn't magnanimous or tolerant of other belief systems...can be very negative" (p 50). Pot calling the kettle black? `

Much of what she writes is wrong. For example, she says: "the writers of the four canonical Gospels...never met Christ" (p 53) False. Matthew was one of the 12 apostles. So was John.

Some of what she writes is downright strange--suggesting on p X that the world has only about a hundred years or less. Or that the Library of Alexandria had "information about UFOs" (p 59).

I am frankly disturbed that anyone would take this seriously,.

  4. Sylvia Browne has been a life changing author for me for many years. This book takes your Spirituality to another level and may not be for everyone. For me, it came just when I needed it and I am now working even harder to become more. More patient, kinder, more of the kind of human being I should be and more aware that I am here on Earth to improve myself and help others.

  5. Great book! Highly recommended, particularly if you are already a fan of Sylvia! A must have for anyone with an enlightened mind who is seeking a higher form of Spirituality! Book came in a Timely manner in mint condition. :) Very Satisfied customer here!

  1. This book is truly inspirational if you need a little pick me up. It will make you a little more happier and a little more nicer. It has a lot of good things to think about, about forgiveness and letting go of your past- which I had a lot of problems with and thanks to Wayne Dyer I've considered some of these teachings and activated them within my life.

  2. he's a bit religious but it doesnt get in the way of his screts for inner peace. also, he has a soothing voice.

  3. Well, after 4 or 5 wives who were pretty much 'enslaved' by Wayne Dyer, I know the 'spin' he expounds for the $$$,$$$... SOOOOO sad that he twists the truths of the universe (whatever those are) to his slimey advantage. Better to return to simple truths (like the Dalai Lama, Thich Nan, etc) instead of promoting this shyster. His wives could tell you he's a pr*ck. Sorry if this is dissolusing, but as most 'gurus' are fake...

  4. This book is very easy to read and inspiring. The book elaborates on 10 basic ideas. I shared this book with friends.

  5. I saw this book on one of my friend's desks. I admire her peacefulness, so I decided to purchase a copy for myself. I am so glad that I did. One day, when I felt overcome with the hustle bustle of everyday life, and I sat down and read this book. Instantly I felt more calm and at peace with where I was going with my plans, and knew that my patience for my goals would bring me results more quickly. I plan to listen to my inner voice, as I move towards my goals, and now am very thankful that I picked up this book to calm my mind.

I learned that I need to spend time alone with my thoughts to recharge my batteries and be able to hear the inner voice that is urging me to create my dreams. This is why I hike, and go to yoga class; it sure has made a difference with my levels of concentration, as well as my ability to be open to when I am on or off my purpose. This book was an integral part for me to figure out how to calm down enough to be open to creating my dream future.
