5 comments about Infinite Possibilities: The Art of Living Your Dreams (Audio CD).
- I have returned this product to the maker for a replacement and the new product is as bad as the first. The CDs skip. Some restart. Some don't play at all. I don't know about the content because I can't listen to all of it. (Yes I have tried multiple CD players in case the problem was mine and not the product.) I cannot recommend purchasing these CDs.
- I am glad I purchased Mike Dooley's "Infinite Possibilities" CD set. I listen to one CD a week while commuting. I prefer to immerse myself in positive messages and positive thinking; this product accomplishes both. I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with negative thinking and lack of forward motion.
- This is a wonderful audiobook I listen to over and over again. There is so much information that I find it helpful for me to listen again and again to "get" it all. This is my second purchase of this set. The first I enjoyed so much I gave it to a friend. I listen nearly every day, sometimes several times a day (even if only for a few minutes at a time) to remind me that I am filled with the light of truth in every moment. It is not supposed to be inspirational however you WILL be inspired to live the life of your dreams. It is one of my all time spiritual favorites. Thanks, Mike Dooley!
- I am so glad I bought these tapes they are so informative and explain things much better to detail.Im just so embued with respect and dreams for myself and others that I hope to do the WOW tour to Peru with Mike
and inspiration to all that beieve and have faith in their thoughts become things.
- Over the years I have had several differant programs like this one.
After listening to more then half of this set I find nothing new.
The only thing good about this is, that I purchased it from Amazon so, I only had to pay $81.52.
If I had purchase it from their website it would have it would have been over 100.00.
I would have liked to return it but, figured since I had opened it They would not accept it as a return.

1 comments about Gibran's Little Book of Love.
- This was a wonderful little book that I purchased for a good friend. I didn't realize that it truly is a "little" book as the size is about the size of the palm of my hand but it had some wonderful excerpts from Gibran.
After seeing the one I got for my friend I want to purchase one for my own collection.

5 comments about Life is a Test.
- This book reminds us that no one goes through life easily. We all have issues to overcome - whether they are emotional, physical, financial or concerning relationships. It gives a positive Jewish perspective on how to overcome theses problems.
- This book was written by Rebbetzen Esther Jungreis. She and her family are Holocaust survivors and it is truly inspirational. She gives examples of how the difficulties we often face help make us stronger and better.
- Two thumbs up for this excellent book. Rebbetzin Jungreis did it again. As its predecessor "The Committed Life", this edifying book leads you through many real life issues and the way Judaism helps you handling them. It is written by a seasoned character who has already worked wonders in the outreach world. I would say this reading could be profitable to both Jews and non Jews.
- I thought I was going to receive an application of Torah to a wide range life's challenges.
What I got was a culturally Jewish autobiography.
- I loved the book Life Is A Test when it first came out. It's one of the most important and paradigm shifting of books I've read in recent years. I've benefited a great deal by the Rebbetzin's wisdom so I was thrilled to learn the book had been professionally produced in audio format. While actress Mare Winningham does the lion's share of the narration, the Rebbetzin does a very warm opening, the first chapter, and a touching close. It's no small thing to communicate such passion as she does - and Mare Winningham delivers a very convincing reading. Being one of those that prefers to "hear" a book, I found this one rich. There are serious life lessons embedded here. Listening to them articulated so well here brought them back to mind easily. If you've read the book, you'll have a distinctively different experience with the audio - more multidimensional. I recommend it highly and heartily.

5 comments about The Zen of Listening: Mindful Communications in the Age of Distractions.
- Intriguing concept: tying effective listening to meditation. The two are closely related. Each topic complements the other nicely. As a reader and practitioner, I just wanted more of each.
- This book sheds light on the skill of listening, which we often take for granted. It challenges you to consider whether you are a good listener and how that affects your everyday interactions with customers, co-workers, and friends. It's definitely a book worth reading and passing on to your friends as a gentle hint. At times the book can seem repetitive.
- I am a senior at Loyola Marymount University and read The Zen of Listening for a paper in my Interpersonal Communication class. I spent most of my high school years volunteering for Teenline and the National Suicide Hotline, so I consider myself well educated in the realm of listening. The work I did with Teenline motivated me to read this book - I was interested in what the author had to say that could boost my listening skills or provide insight into why my listening may not be as good as it should be. (And I indeed found "answers" to both of these in The Zen of Listening).
I was also drawn to this book because the title implied the relationship between listening and Eastern philosophical thought instead of Christian-based theological listening, which most other books on the topic of listening seem to relate to.
The test in Chapter Two, designed to determine your strengths and weaknesses in listening, is extremely helpful and ensures that you pay closer attention to any chapters that elaborate on your listening problems.
The technical bits in the book explain the science of the ears and the mathematical equations of retention rates, but I did not find them useful or interesting. The rest of the book, however, was riveting.
It's a rather simple read and I found that I was immediately applying many of her simple tips for listening to my everyday habits--including how to better read and remember her book. This book is perfect for anyone who wants to know more about listening and communication; or who may be having work or relationship problems - many times it seems that listening is the issue at hand.
- Like most self-help products, this one is an example of the author's biases and meaningless anecdotes that do not illustrate a point or theme. While this book holds valuable advice on communication, ie listen and be open while listening, it is filled with empty talk on how to be a better listener. I had to get this book for a communications class and learned far more from the instructor and his created handbook than this published book. As far as self help goes, my unpublished prof had more to offer than this lady! Okay if you can get it for less than 5 bucks
- I agree completely with the review from C. Kerby. There are some helpful insights, but for the most part, I feel as though I am being preached to by a hippified zen transindentalist. I also must read this book for a class, and I don't like the way the book takes the long road to get to the points.
I also think her examples of Larry King and Barbara Walters being examples of good listeners are weak. They get paid big bucks to listen, yet they still ask poor and unrelated follow-up questions because they are thinking ahead of their interview, and about ratings over listening.
I think the author should work in construction for awhile and see if she can have any success changing hearts and getting people to listen in that sea of dysfunction. Good luck.
I don't mean to be unkind, but I think the book neglects using boundaries with dark minded control freaks, and is a bit naive. "What we have here is a failure to communicate. Some men, you just can't reach." (Cool Hand Luke)

5 comments about Decoding Your Destiny.
- This is the second book I have read by one of the most amazing metaphysical intuitives of our time, Carmen Harra (her first book being Everyday Karma). With her instructions I was able to calculate my soul code and learn to use the power that is within us all. One of the things I also love about Dr. Harra is the way she puts it all out there for us by printing her predictions and giving us her visions for the next 30 to 100 years! A must read for anyone interested in destiny. I am truly looking forward to her next book.
- I really enjoyed this book. It is a quick, fun, easy read, yet packed full of lots of information. Her writing style is warm and friendly, you will truly feel like you are sitting with her and enjoying a nice, long reading. The numerology section is a great intro to numerology, but the most interesting part is her predictions in the back! That is all I am gonna say. Buy it and enjoy.
- Very much enjoyed the reading of this book! Its a good read and interesting too. The material and examples make it easy to understand our human nature by our birthdate. Its all in the numbers! I was amazed looking back over the years and checking my personal numbers and finding those years matched exactly what was transpiring in my life! Carmen Harra's shows you what's in store by the numbers and you feel you are decoding your life. Quite fascinating!
- Had already begun a simple course on numerology and was interested to compare the two findings, a little differant.
Carmen's version is very basic and is at the beginning of the book. In the second part, she uses examples of clients and their pesonal experiances to show you how the two are linked.
The final part is about Karma, what goes around comes around...
Very enlightning!
- A really great book. Dr. Harra provides us a very simple way to identify our soul code and determine which cycle we are in. The individual cycles allow us to make decisions about our future, tell us what to expect, which people are coming into our lives, and how to overcome obstacles.
The second half really provides valuable information about manifesting our goals. Dr. Harra, a licensed psychologist, teaches us about Harnessing the tools of our mind, Creating our own realities, and Overcoming fears.
Excellent book, excellent work! Take out your pencils!

2 comments about Practicando el poder de ahora: Practicing the Power of Now, Spanish-Language Edition.

5 comments about The Soft Addiction Solution.
- Judith offers a valuable framework for identifying self-defeating behaviors. She guides the reader to discover the underlying emotions and thought patterns behind undesirable habits. The comprehensive checklist of addictions that undermine me - was useful and I could identify more systemically how various behaviors interrelate. Knowing my system of soft addictions, the book provides a useful system and guide to plan ways to replace my bad patterns, by fulfilling the deeper hungers with more nourishing and satisfying actions. Using the "math of more," I'm able to spend my time and energy more wisely, bit by bit, to become more satisfied. I've added more dance, social activities, satisfying work projects, and it's helping me to limit my indulgences in food or laziness. I've found the book and training with Judith to be of immeasurable value.
- I've read other books about stopping my soft addictions, but this is the first one that had me add something to replace them. It's making all the difference! I never thought I was indulging my soft addictions because I was missing something deeper in my life. I find myself asking my husband to take time to connect with me when I feel the urge to go shopping. I've been able to consistently get to work on time, when I've been a chronically tardy person. A little bit at a time, I am eliminating the clutter in my house. This book is very effective in helping me make more out of my life and my relationships!
- Judith Wright has such a forgiving and refreshing approach to bad habits. The way she talks about "soft addictions" makes me feel so much self acceptance and understanding for myself and why I do the things I do. Instead of hating and indicting myself, I feel compassion and insight. I realize I am looking for something more meaningful and nourishing and that I can decide to do something different and have a completely different experience. Judith's "math of more" is a brilliant way to think about making incremental positive changes that add up over time. Instead of trying to quit something cold turkey, Wright recommends identifying what I am really emotionally hungry for and finding a better way to really satisfy that hunger. The other night, I was on a business trip and was starting to surf the channels on the TV, killing time and staying up too late. I caught myself and realized that I was searching kind of aimlessly for something that would interest me, excite me or somehow make me feel connected with something. I realized that I was longing for personal contact, so I turned off the TV, called my wife, talked to her for a few minutes and went to bed. I felt a little happier and slept better and longer. This seemed like a really small thing, but made me feel much better the next day. Wright combines her compassionate approach to life with a logical and very effective set of methods for making lasting positive change. This is the real deal - not just good ideas, but very practical, useful stuff, grounded in real life experience.
- I was really excited about this book until I started reading it. The concept of the book was great but the authors way of writing made it unreadable.
The book is littered with the word MORE in all caps and how to get MORE out of life throughout the book. In fact, in the first 10 pages the word MORE in all caps is printed 17 times. This is fairly irritating and gimmicky and continues throughout the book. The author also has "More-sels" on the page margins which are quotes, sometimes from herself. The author also does not tire of listing and repeating her own accomplishments which gets annoying. Surely there are other ways to get the ideas of the book across.
One of her audiences seems to be people in sales and how she helped them increase their sales. The book is supposedly about how to get more meaning in your life which seems counter to getting better at convincing people to buy things they don't need.
I really wanted to like this book but I couldn't. I think the concepts are great but would be better written in a different style and perhaps by a different author.
- I highly recommend this book and the lessons taught by Judith Wright to anyone genuinely interested in living a great life. I'm an overeater, overspender, over worrier, etc. One of the things that she did in this book that was very helpful was have me literally add up the costs of all of these bad habits, thousands of dollars a year. It was very sobering and eye opening. And I am finding as I add little things--more workouts, more talks with friends, nothing huge, but step by step things, I am less drawn to the bad habits. Her book is readable, humorous, compasssionate, fun, engaging. I am not sure what is up with the bad reviews.

2 comments about Mystical Traveler 3-CD: How to Advance to a Higher Level of Spirituality.
- I love all of Silvia Brownes work and this Mystical Traveler did not disappoint me.
- As an ardent reader of Sylvia Brown, I was disappointed with the author's Mystical Traveler tape. For the most part I usually learn new ideas and possibilities from Sylvia, but this description was vague and either I missed the point or the tape did. It talked alot about taking on "the mantle" of the mystical traveler but I couldn't decipher just what the mantle included. One of the mystical traveler examples was Mother Theresa and the most I know of her was her attention to the sick and poor of Calcutta. I would have wanted to know how taking on the mantle made her who she was. It seems to me that the examples already had the mantle yet Sylvia indicated it was a choice. But a choice to what is still my question. Sorry, but this was disappointing.

5 comments about Balancing Heaven and Earth: A Memoir of Visions, Dreams, and Realizations.
- When I'm asked for the most influential books in my life, this is the one that tops my list. As someone who reads 50-200 books a year, that's a big list. I've given it as gifts, quoted it in sermons, referred to it as a spiritual counselor, used it for my own growth and have come back to it over and over since it was first published. I happened upon these reviews while ordering Johnson's latest CD, Golden World, which I'm thrilled to know has been produced. I've read all his books and agree with other reviewers that this is the best, or at any rate, the one that has provided a helpful road map for my life and experiences, and hence, for the many whom I also touch. For those of us, and there are numerous souls, who have had extraordinary tastes of the Golden World (and its inhabitants), "balancing heaven and earth" for the rest of one's life is a daily task; sometimes grace, often a struggle. His words in this memoir (my paraphrase): "there have always been those whose job it is to tend the borders between the worlds" gave me context when I first needed it. His book "We," while it didn't save me from romantic errors (and he writes: "the genie"--e.g. romantic love--"can't be put back in the bottle,") did, again, provide a context for healing and future lessons ("the depression is always in direct proportion to the inflation that preceded it.)His experiences with Krishnamurthi, recounted in this book, gave me important lessons as a teacher, e.g."don't try to give an old man's wisdom to a young person," and his lessons on sainthood have been extremely important as well. If you are living the inner journey, have any sort of spiritual life, and especially, if like Parsifal, Johnson's oft-referred to mythic model, have suffered the agony and the ecstasy of a visit to the Grail Castle and then "lost" it, this book is for you.
- Beginning in his youth, Robert Johnson shares a frank history of his spiritual development through his entire life, through the lens of a master of Jungian theories and concepts. He describes his early experiences and wounding, his early adult years following the "slender threads" that guide him to finding God's will for him. He describes his sensitive personality type and its close connection to a world both present and just beyond our grasp. His life demonstrates a beautiful rendition of following the spiritual path and its relationship to development from a Jungian perspective. He is as humble and unassuming in his writing as I suspect he was in life. This biography is a beautiful portait of a man's life lived well in the pursuit of following God's will. It demonstrates the unique understanding that can be developed by pursuing life from a Jungian perspective spiritually. I would recommend this book to people who have some sense of the breadth of Jungian psychology and some sense of their own "type", as well as some general concept of type dynamics and the concept of the shadow or inferior function. It is thoroughly engrossing and enjoyable. I would recommend it especially to middle to older age adults, seminarians, or others pursuing their personal spiritual development.
- I learned a great deal from this book. It gave me a basic understanding of Jungian analysis, in particular how dreams are used to tap into the sub-conscious mind and help identify one's personal "destiny" or "thread" as Johnson describes it. I appreciated his several visions of the "Golden World" and how he sought, throughout his life, to re-experience this heightened state of awareness. He also describes how we project our desires onto others in order to experience this sense of connection. I loved Mr. Johnson's experiences in India, and the way he immersed himself in the culture and learned so much about their distinct way of viewing the world. I hope to read another of his books.
- Sometimes I think if I was being scurried away to a desert island I would only bring Robert Johnson, Robert Bly, and James Hollis books because these three are such amazing writers and thinkers. This autobiography is so heartfelt and real and just a total gem all around, Don't miss it- or any of his other books, especially He, She, We, and Ecstacy.
- Robert Johnson has been a great teacher, mentor, and inspiration for many in the exploration of the inner world, and ultimately the discovery for what he has known as 'the golden world'.It is a homecoming and a place of bliss and repose. I had the privilege to study and share time with Robert in the U.S. and India. He provided for me a taste of that world and a living inspiration in the very real possibility of developing a sacred and blissful rapport between the inner and outer worlds we inhabit. I was delighted to find in this book my own tiny contribution in suggesting to Robert that he take a polaroid camera to India. The realm of Enlightenment is the destiny of all humanity, and here is the humble story of one man who is pointing for us the way to follow... if we are willing to find the courage to do so.

2 comments about How To Make One Hell Of A Profit and Still Get In To Heaven.
- This is one of the very best books I have read regarding prosperity and the way we view money. Dr. Demartini approaches the concept in a way I have never seen before and I have had too many "lightbulb moments" to count. I have purchased 4 of these books and shared them with friends, I was so excited about it. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to stretch their thinking a bit outside the box and gain some new insights about how they think and feel about money.
- Ok, this book isn't a book about a literal heaven nor does it define spirituality according to any specific religious doctrine. This book is for those folks who have uncomfortable attitudes towards making money because they feel it violates their moral or ethical codes, whatever the name of the code.
A surprising number of people are very uncomfortable with the idea of buying and selling and especially of making money on their work. They don't mind receiving a paycheck as long as it isn't "too big" (whatever that means), but to actually make something and sell it for as much as the market will bear causes them sincere and very painful anxiety. Years ago, when I taught piano full time and had a full slate of students that I charged what was a good rate for the time, one of my friends asked me how I did it.
So, I told her what I did, how I built the number of students, and what I charged. She said she could never charge that much for teaching music because it was unfair to the kids. Well, guess what, she didn't end up teaching many students even at her lower rate. And she had to go work at another job because she couldn't make enough money at what she was willing to charge. Is there a lesson here?
This book takes a person with the kind of fears and anxieties of my friend and walks them through why it is a good thing to charge and make money. What you should do to save and build with that money and how to use money to enrich rather than become the focus of your life.
If you are a person with these kinds of stultifying attitudes towards money, this is a good book to read and think about. However, if you are already a businessperson with a good understanding and attitudes towards making money, well, this book is probably too basic.
