5 comments about Magical Beginnings, Enchanted Lives.
- Always looking for practical solutions, I found that the Ayurvedic principles to deal with the misery of Morning Sickness were particularly useful. And loved the yoga positions too!
- Deepak Chopra has an outlook on pregnancy and childbirth that assures you of the natural process and joy of bringing a new life into the world. Many books are so medical that they leave out the emotional components of this process. I found this book informative as well as very soothing.
- This book makes me look at pregnancy in a whole new beautiful way. It's very empowering and could bring out the best in anyone trying to follow some of its wisdom and guidance during this period. It makes me think differently about labor and child birth especially too; rather than fearing the pain, I look forward to the miracle that the process will bring to life.
I'm looking forward to using this book over the next 3 and final months of my pregnancy!
- Not much to say, there are lots of repetitions in the book and the suggestions can be read in many pregnancy websites. The book is peaceful but limited, I expected a little more.
- (Note: This review was written by my wife, Laura...)
If you've ever read any of Deepak Chopra's books then you know they are beautifully written, full of inspirational messages, and grounded in spirit. This book is definitely no exception: in it you will find lots of suggestions for connecting with your baby through communing with nature, self-nurturing, healthy, Ayurvedic-based eating, meditation, visualizations and much more.
You will learn how to find your center of peace within and how to live more and more from there as the months go by. He'll help you visualize your ideal birth and guide you towards making that a reality. If nothing else, this book will leave you feeling more grounded and full of love and peace.

5 comments about The Zen of Recovery.
- It is possible to get very gung-ho about Mel Ash's ZEN OF RECOVERY. I am not gung-ho about it, but the book does something which no other book I am aware of has achieved, made a sincere and plausible link between 12-step principles and Buddhist principles. Unfortunately, the book's Buddhism is Zen, only one of many different Buddhist paths. Thus the book lacks a certain universalism that I find unfortunate. However, it is well worth reading, if nothing else serving as a jumping-off point for investigating Buddhism (or the Buddha) as one's higher power. Any Buddhist who is in Alcoholics Anonymous or any other 12-step program is well advised to read this book. It will help one get past the bloc that I felt in 12-step programs, which in Western society are predicated upon Christianity or Judaism. ZEN OF RECOVERY reinforced in me the belief that I had a place in 12-step meetings, even though I did not believe in a God as defined in any theistic sense. Aside from the above caveats, this book is a radical step forward in the recovery movement.
- Mel Ash, using Zen as the spiritual component, adapts the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and zens it up. It's easy to swallow for me because the emphasis is not singularly recovery from alcoholism but also eating disorders, narcotic addiction, etc. The reading is gentle and doesn't underestimate or devalue the audience with sterile language. It gets awfully real world and how we can intermingle our recovery into our lives, which is what I wanted when I entered into recovery.
He talks a lot about how our denial *is* our sickness...from the 12 steps perspective and from the Zen perspective; that even those not in a compulsion may still suffer simply from the predisposed human condition. He speaks of our *dualistic* thinking [good/bad, right/wrong, black/white] as the manifestation of our human condition and more to the extent of our compulsions... How we in our compulsions/addictions are the magnification of the human suffering condition...just to the extreme.
This book is compassionate, intelligent, and worthy of top shelf status. It does not interfere with one's religious views but can enhance anyone's recovery. For me, this book, is what I have been searching for; the combined 12 steps with a spiritual component I can relate to. I really enjoy this book and know it will be favored by me in years to come, as it's more of a living philosophy within recovery and without.
- As a person with an addictive nature I cannot speak highly enough about this book - it is lovely! I want to buy copies for everyone I know - whether they are in recovery or not. As for the review saying, "any zen book can give you principles to quit drinking..." I don't think the purpose of this book was to stop ppl from drinking, but rather: to accompany ppl who may already struggle w/ a higher power w/in the twelve steps. I suspect that most ppl reconnect with themselves AFTER moving into the program and encounter obstacles along the way. For me, this book acts as a liason between the twelve steps and my internal obstacles.
Mel Ash's interpretation of the twelve steps is insightful and in no way contradictory to the program. His writing voice is simple and easy to follow; we are a culture who live in fear and this book delicately encourages those of us in recovery to find our bliss. When you see a flower, SMILE. The teachings are so simple - Enjoy!
- As a "recovering alcoholic", I have had MUCH trouble within and without the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous when people find out that I am a Buddhist skeptic who does not believe in the idea of a deity called "god". As a practicioner of Zen, I am pleased to see that Mr. Ash has a solid grip of the "Zen of recovery".
Those who criticize the book for being "too Zen" as opposed to other Buddhist traditions should have read the title, "The Zen of Recovery", before they bought it! How much so like the average A.A. member, complaining about things that are relatively silly.
This book spells out Buddhist detachment and the idea of a "power" that can "restore us to sanity", applying it skillfully to the 12 Step Tradition in the process. Most of what is IN the book has already been reviewed here, so let me end by saying that first of all, I don't go to a bunch of A.A. meetings anymore because of the culture of whining, glorification of the alcoholic history, and closed-mindedness towards any idea of "a power greater than ourselves" that isn't an anthropomorphic "god". However, I DO go to three meetings a meet where the envirenment is condusive to a true "spirituality", and I am definately going to be ordering many copies of this book to distribute to my many A.A. "peers" who actively criticize my "agnostic beliefs" and consider Zen to be a path towards relapse.
Get this book if you can relate to anything I have just written, adn especially if you are interested in Asian spirituality as an alternative to the Judeao/Christian approach most often endorsed by the loving members of Alcoholics Anonymous!
Good work, Mr. Ash.
- I have given away several copies of this book, and own one of my own, which I enjoy re-reading. Many people struggling with addictions also have difficulty with Alcoholics Anonymous' emphasis on a "higher power" (generally conceived as "God"). This book serves the important function of introducing a non-theistic (non-"God"-based) approach to AA, and to a personal meditative practice.
This book serves as a sort of "bridge" between Zen Buddhism (admittedly only one school, but Zen is the form which is practiced by author Mel Ash) and the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. The book is organized in a way which mirrors the 12 Steps, and, as a result, it is easily accessible for people who are involved with that program. In other words, you don't need to know anything about Zen to get value from this book, but you do need to have at least a healthy respect for the 12 Steps as a path of recovery from addiction.
"The Zen of Recovery" begins as a standard AA speaker meeting would - the author gives us his "drunkalogue" - a story of what he was like before he got sober- his trials and his humiliations. At the same time as he decide to stop drinking, the author also begins to practice zazen under a meditation instructor (zazen being the style of silent seated meditation practiced by Zen Buddhists). As a result, the author's perspective on the 12 Steps is colored by his growth as a Zen Buddhist.
Author Mel Ash applies the teachings of Zen Buddhism not just to alcoholism, but to all addictions and cravings - the attachments which Buddhism says are at the root of all suffering. The book is therefore useful not only for alcoholics, but for anyone in the throes of a compulsive craving.
I also really enjoyed the spare and elegant Japanese ink-brush drawings with which Ash illustrated the book. That's just me - I always like a book with pictures.

5 comments about SoulCollage: An Intuitive Collage Process for Individuals and Groups.
- The SoulCollage process is an amazing tool for exploring your inner world and discovering who/what resides within. Highly recommended.
- If you love the idea of collage because you can't draw... If you enjoy using "cards" in a spiritual practice... This is just such a lovely book and opens so many creative and wonderful personal possibilities.
- SoulCollage is a truly relevant and important process orientated book by a very knowledgeable author. This book is clear, concise and to the point. Inner processes, thoughts and knowledge(s) are discovered, explored, and analysed. I believe that this book could change lives.
- From the review I thought this might be a Christian based art book. It is not at all! It kind of gives me the creeps actually.
- The book itself was somewhat clumsy to hold and manage... it's wide.
The information within is good but feels somewhat incomplete. The images are amazing and plentiful but would have been better if they had all been in color as opposed to back and white.
It's an ok book and it could have been better....

5 comments about The Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram: Nine Faces of the Soul.
- I am a big fan of this book and find that it compliments the work of Riso and Hudson, Helen Palmer and others. The book has a lot of depth! The insights that Sandra Maitri illuminates regarding each ennea-type are expressed beautifully although not always in the most sensitive manner.
A can see where a lot of people would have resistance to this book because it unmasks the shadow side of the personality. However, this is precisely what the Enneagram is concerned with. Basically, it's about the different ways one can be an ego in the world and when you look deeply, this isn't very pretty to look at. I admire her for not sugar-coating what each type is about. The first time I read about my type, I laughed and at other times felt like crying.
Maitri does not take as scientific an approach as Riso and Hudson. However, this does not mean there is not a lot of value here. Shakespeare did not take a scientific approach to love, but he certainly had a lot of insight into it and there is much to be learned about life by reading his plays. Similarly, one can learn a lot about the various ennea-types, ennea-type dynamics and how all of this might be related to spirituality.
A lot of the knowledge contained in this book comes out of the work of Ichazo, Naranjo and A. H. Almaas. I have read Almaas' book on the Enneagram and I actually think that Maitri does a better job of presenting the types than he did. While I think she is appropriately introspective and interpretive, I don't find she is so speculative as to lose credibility with a less esoteric audience.
In short, this book combines psychology and spirituality in a plausible integration that has stood the test of time with respect to an empirically developed model. I think this is part of the value that Maitri offers. Riso and Hudson looked at the Enneagram more clinically and developmentally. They scratched the surface of the spiritual dimension, but Maitri expands on it. This isn't a treatise on Physics, it's a soulful look at the Enneagram.
Personally, I find this book to be very useful. While it is difficult to admit, I think she nailed my type and I have found what she wrote about the dynamics of other types to be true. In fact, I have taken Enneagram assessment classes and talked about her ideas with different types and they seem to agree. While a lot of people are triggered by what they read in her book, at the same time they seem to recognize the validity of it. She says a lot of the same things Helen Palmer, Riso and Hudson and others have said, but she takes it further and deeper in some ways. This makes her book a unique and valuable contribution, especially for people who have already read the other author's books.
Even if you are not someone who believes in the validity of the Enneagram, this is a thought provoking read. It will cause you to deeply inquire into your own personality dynamics and those of the people around you.
If you are looking for a good general book to get started in exploring the Enneagram, then I recommend the Wisdom of the Enneagram by Riso and Hudson. This is a very well-balanced introduction to Enneagram theory and how you can use it for your own personal growth. These authors take a more mainstream approach and have done much work to validate the Enneagram model clinically. At the same time, they honor the spiritual dimension of it without diving into the spiritual specifics in great depth.
If I were only going to own two Enneagram books, the Wisdom of the Enneagram and the Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram would be my two "must haves." The former book leans in the direction of psychology and the latter goes deeper into spirit where Riso and Hudson stop. On the other hand, Riso and Hudson have other books that go deeper into the various psychological levels of the Enneagram model and map them back to DSM type classifications of psychological disorders. Again... the books are complimentary, they offer depth, but Riso and Hudson do it more from within a psychological framework. Maitri trys to go beyond this by exploring the spiritual dynamics that give rise to the psychological propensities of the various types.
- The descriptions of nine personality types are in depth, insightful and logical. It no doubt makes valuable contribution to the Enneagram literature. It is a useful book for more serious readers.
- If you are a serious student of the Enneagram, this book is a "must read." With a clear insight into workings of the human mind and heart, Donna Maitri communicates not only an in-depth description of the personality types of the Enneagram, but also leads the serious student to some very valuable tools to work through and out of the habit of the personality.
It is a book you will want to read, and re-read many times. I stongly encourage the reader to follow her advice and resist the temptation to read only the chapters on your own type. The material is presented in a very thoughtful order and reading the book from cover to cover increases is value tenfold.
More than any other book on the Enneagram, this book has opened in me, a place of compassionate understanding for others habits of personality as well as my own.
- There are a lot on Enneagram books on the market, but this one is the only one I've felt really attuned to. I saw my"self" quite clearly in its descriptions, but without needing to further justify, defend, hate or identify with the ego structures I observed. That's saying rather a lot.
This is not just a parlor book of personality types. Rather, it goes into some real depths...even beyond the ego structures that have usurped people's sense of self. It's not an airy-fairy book (no holds barred when it comes to pointing the powerfully obstructive nature of our identities), but it also presents real hope for returning to the soul level of self...and eventually to true nature. As Patanjali might have said, where there appears to be distortion, there is that which was never distorted--that which is just waiting to be rediscovered in its purity.
- It brought home the deeply spiritual aspect of the enneogram. Another piece of the puzzle.

- If you're a fan of Wayne Dyer and Marianne Williamson or you haven't ever heard of them, you'll love the combination of their inspirational advice, wit and insight into life. I have a vast library of cds that I listen to in the car and this is one of the top!
- Both are well versed in spirituality. This audio program ties together some of their latest teaching principles. Highly recommended for those who are looking for positive reinforcement as aid in overcoming life's obstacles and we all have them.
- I am a loyal fan of both Dr. Dyer & Marianne Williamson. This Cd is one of their wonderful collaberations. It's a true "Good Feeling" audio set. These two peeople have set me on a purposeful path for my life. I have both of their collections of Cds & books. I would recommend this an any other Cds by those two authors.
- I enjoyed the lecture Wayne Dyer gave, but was extremelly disappointed with Marianne Williamson lecture.
- Live lecture, sound not so great, his recorded laboured breathing was very very off putting, love Wayne Dyer, but this is not a good one.
I listen to staying on the path, almost every day.
Will only ever listen to this once. The asking people in the audience to break there anonymity in alcohlics anonymous,to prove a point he was making and "pleading" with people to do the Tao, was all a bit, hard to say but disappointing and not very enriching or advancing
Marinne,,,, "well lets all just take a deep breath and imagine a ball of golden light",,,, please God rescue me from the bad feelings that i paid moneY to listen to something that started like that,,,,,

5 comments about Grieving the Loss of Someone You Love: Daily Meditations to Help You Through the Grieving Process.
- This is one of the best grief books I've come across. I buy many of them for friends and new people I meet who are grieving.
- As a funeral directer, I highly recommend this little booklet. We give these books out as a gift on a regular basis to grieving families. The chapters are short, informative, inspiritional and filled with pracitical help. Those in grief find it hard to concentrate for long periods of time. The chapters are short and well catagorized to find help without having to read volumns of material.
- I have used this book repeatedly - both with myself in the loss of a child - and as an offering to others experiencing loss of loved ones. It is an excellent daily aid to the confusion following shock. It is brief and to the point and offers so much hope - hope that the nightmare will come to an end and one will be happy again.
- This book is written is such a good way to help you through the grieving process. It details what's "normal" and helps the grieving person sort out their feelings. Though nobody goes through the grieving process the same way another person may, this book gives guidance on how to cope with the feelings of loss and sadness. I found it encouraging and supportive and at the same time, it seemed to help me recover a little more from my loss.
- This book was given to me when I lost my wife at 58 years of age to heart disease. It helped me in my grief. I have passed it to others and all have been very appreciative of it. It has been placed in the bookstore of a Seattle area church because it was so well received by a grief support group.

5 comments about Leap!: What Will We Do with the Rest of Our Lives?.
- I have not finished this book but was a bit disappointed as I thought it would be a more general opinion. It seems to be more about the author's personal life rather than general observations...
- Very helpful to the baby-boomers...While written from a woman's point of view, it touches issues that must be common to men and women both.
A must read!
- I would've given this book a "zero star" rating if that was available. It was new-age blather, and there are already lots of sources for that. It mainly consists of interviews with folks who were either rich or famous (or both), not a lot of relevance for the average person who wants to figure out what to do with our remaining years. When she went on the two-week volunteer session to India, and her fellow volunteers described the author as "spoiled, needy, demanding and condescending", they nailed it. I'd just add narcissism to that list of her traits. It seems this was her own quest for self-fulfillment, with little to offer us in terms of helping us find our own self-fulfillment. Very disappointed, could not recommend this book.
- I really enjoyed this book. This book gave me a new meaning to life. Always look forward to tomorrow, and at the end of the day, nothing really matters for everything is temporary. So enjoy every moment of your life!
By giving real life examples, the author demonstrates that it is never too late to start anew. Some people achieve more in their old age, so never give up, regardless of your age. She starts off by citing herself as an example. After writing several bestseller books and many successful TV scripts, the author found herself without a job. Her books, scripts, and magazine articles were being rejected. She thought that it was the end of the world. But it was not so. We are all given second, third, fourth, and fifth chances. And if need be, we can be given many more chances. The author soon reclaims her previous glory, and this book `Leap!' is now on the New York Times bestselling books 30 years after her last bestselling book, `Loose Change'.
The author draws on the experience of famous people such as Carly Simon (who ends up having a hit after many in the music industry gave up on her); Jane Fonda (she demonstrates that there is life after the smash hit `Barbarella), Iman (a model from Ethiopia who ends up being a sensation in New York and ends up marrying David Bowie); and many others. You will also hear stories from writers, professors, psychologists, and spiritual leaders.
The chapter on spiritual leaders was my favorite one, for I found it very controversial. One Indian guru says that organized religions are bad, for no one can tell you the path you should take. Every person should find his own path that leads to the truth. No two persons can take the same path. Put in other words, "truth is a pathless land, and it cannot be approached by any path whatsoever, by any religion, or any sect. The spoken or written word is not the truth...if an organization be formed for this purpose, it becomes a crutch, a weakness, a bondage, and must cripple the individual." (p. 244). To find the truth, we must be absolutely and unconditionally free! I found this concept interesting. This same guru abolished his own sect, despite the objection of his followers, for again, he was against organized religions and sects.
Another guru leaves all his worldly belongings and lives a life of spirituality and begging. He neglects his body so much that he does not feel the bugs eating at his body. Is this the way to attain the ultimate truth? Which path will you follow?
Who are we, and who is asking the question? Are we our body, or our conscious; or maybe both? When we reflect on our life, who is doing the reflecting? Who is observing our life? Who is the observer? Is the observer our conscious? I found those questions very intriguing. To find the answers to these questions is worth living every minute of our life, and this is what this book is all about!
I am by no means old, but I do constantly think about death. As the author explains, some Indian gurus recommend we meditate on death on a daily basis. We will all die, and we better accept this fact at an early age. Knowing that one day we will die should give us power. With death looming over our head, we are actually motivated to enjoy life for we know that one day it will all end.
By thinking about dying, I actually empower myself. Whenever things don't go the way I want them too, or whenever I am sad, lonely, or depressed, I think of death. I say to myself, "One day I will day, and none of this will matter." This thought is enough to put me back on my feet with zeal! Thinking of death is not such a bad thing after all!
It is never too late to enjoy life and start new careers. As the author explains, some people start new careers in their sixties and seventies! Others acquire new hobbies such as learning new languages.
The strange thing is that some people opt to end their lives rather than get old. Dying is one thing, getting old is another. It might be easier to accept death than a long life of suffering and inactivity due to old age. The author discusses this and offers real life examples.
The book ends with two pages entitled, "Reading Group Questions and Topics for Discussion." This is the first time I see this in a book (other than in text books), and I think it is a great addition for reading groups. Some of the discussion questions you will find:
1. Why was `surrender' painful for the author? Did her understanding of surrender change? (None of us should ever surrender. It is never too late to start anew. There is always light at the end of the tunnel).
2. Have you considered having plastic surgery or decided against it? Did reading the author's report on a face lift affect your thinking? (After reading her chapter on plastic surgery, I don't think I'd ever recommend it to any healthy person).
3. The author explores whether we're `hard-wired' to seek a romantic partner. What is your experience? (I personally think we are `hard-wired' to seek our other half!)
4. Davidson discovers a great range of sexual behavior after fifty, from those who give it up to those who discover new sensations. What intrigued or disturbed you about her reporting on sexuality? (The chapter on sexuality was intriguing and I learnt things I never knew. I am sure many readers will find that chapter both informative and enjoyable. The passages on the G-spot were quite informative).
5. The author says we're a society of workaholics, but the imperative is not merely to work but to align yourself with your purpose. How would you go about doing that? (Life is not all about work. What's the point of having a career and being successful if you are not happy? Our goal should be to attain happiness, not success. Success might be a by-product of happiness).
6. If you knew the world was going to end in two days, what would you do? (This is one of the most important questions in this book. Whatever you think you should do, DO IT NOW!)
7. Is there such a thing as `rational suicide'? (I am personally against suicide, but if I was terminally ill (God forbid) and saw the suffering of those around me as a result of my hopeless state, would I contemplate suicide to end the misery of my loved ones? If one commits suicide as a selfless act, would that be `rational suicide'?)
8. What's the purpose of a `life review'? (A `life-review' will make you the observer, separating you from `the you'. You are no longer `you' but the observer).
Note: If you purchased `Leap!' you may download the free workbook, which has exercises to help you define what's right for you in the years ahead. Go to saradavidson.com and click on `Free Workbook."
To sum up, I think the back cover of the book summarizes the importance of this book: "Davidson holds up a mirror for readers, allowing them to see not only themselves and those around them but their potential futures...and the possibilities are boundless."
- Sara Davidson's LEAP carries one through from one sketch to the next. The
inspirations that come from each sketch motivates one into thinking about
the "rest of our lives". I have
recommended this book to several friends who will connect. It actually gives
a door opening to those who are still to reach the "age of what will I do with
the last 20 years or so of my life. Don't miss this book!

- One of the most interesting books I have every read next to ,"The Science of Being".A must read for all,but only if your ready."When the student is ready the teacher will come".
- I'm really enjoying this book anything that helps elevate consciousness is OK with me, the wisdom it evokes will bring forward the Spiritual evolution that is needed at this time.
- This is one of the most astounding books i have ever read that really makes sense of what is happening all around us and where humanity is headed in the future.
- I'm ashamed to say I bought this book. I thought it was a review of the history of our scientific progress and it isn't. Several times I thought of putting this book down and forgetting about it, but then I thought I'd read it just for the entertainment value....reading it as if it was a parody of a soothsayer going through his/her routine for a client.
This book isn't worth the paper it's written on.
I gave it one star just because the webpage to review this piece of trash wouldn't let me proceed unless it had at least one star.
- A must read book. We are now approaching a different age and we must all become more conscious. Everyone should read this book, fantastic book.

5 comments about Sacred Ceremony: How to Create Ceremonies for Healing, Transitions, and Celebrations.
- Steven Farmer invites you into the conscious sacred space of ceremonies with an easy and gentle presence. He has done his research and practice and now invites you into his collective wisdom. The grace is that everyone can find an abundance of useful ideas and practices for themselves and others in these celebrations of the sacred. Use it as a foundation and then improvise for all the sacred ceremonies that living and dying has to offer. Steven invites you into his journey of sacred space so that you might learn how to more fully enter your own with others. This book is a gift and blessing. I look forward to reading more of his writings.
- Steven has written the ultimate "how to" book for creating ceremonies. I appreciated his clear, easy-to-follow suggestions and examples. This book (the only one you'll ever need on this subject) excites the imagination to create a ceremony for every important event along life's path. As you can tell, I love this book and if I could, I would give it more than 5 stars!
- *****
This is a great book on all aspects of ceremonies---design, planning, facilitation, and practicalities. It also includes many examples of various types of ceremonies chock full of great ideas and inspiration. I read this book all in one sitting, and enjoyed every minute of it.
If you are planning a ceremony, this book will be invaluable. Or if you are a minister or facilitator of ceremonies, it will also be invaluable.
Note that although typical Christian ceremonies are referred to, this book primarily deals with ceremonies that are creative or different from standard cultural celebrations. It doesn't focus on any one alternative tradition, but includes all---for example, Native American, Celtic, secular, etc. It would primarily appeal to the person who is wanting to design a meaningful and memorable ceremony of their own from any or no religious tradition.
I loved this book---it is definitely a reference book, but also a very enjoyable read. When you're done, you'll definitely understand how to plan and why you'd plan most any ceremony!
*****
- This book arrived in mint condition. I have used it already in planning a service; it could have been more helpful if it had more ready made ceremonies in it, but I am happy with it.
- Dr. Farmer establishes a great repore in teaching the various cerimonies for healing, transitions, and celebrations. He guides you into creating your own ceremony. Easy to read and very informative. I look forward to other books he has written.

- I bought this book expecting it to be spiritual and some of the statements were, but they were not backed up with anything that relates to how the Indians incorporated those thoughts into THEIR daily lives. I just got an unrelated history lesson. For example, Feb. 10th-"To clothe a man falsley is to distress his spirit..." Then the next information on that page is about a Native Day in American History on "Feb 10th 1763 The French ceded the North Americans territory to England in the Treaty of Paris, ending the French and Indian War (1754-1763)." Now, what do the two have to do with each other? Or at least put something in about how Native Americans dress or something related to the spiritual quote of the day. The format bugged me. There is some good information, but very poorly organized.
- Recived this book in fast time and am very happy i lost my other one i have been without it for a while, i use this daily, the book was in excelent shape. thank you,if ever i find another item from this person i would diffently buy thank you again
- This book is a wonderful reference for all Native Americans and I have had it for years. My purchase was to pass it along to friends to enjoy as much as I have enjoyed it.
- This book is a clear winner for those that journey the Red Road. The "365 Days of Walking the Red Road" is best read at a time that you and your partner, and children can settle down for a few minutes. It's thought provoking, enlightening, and lots of other good stuff, and they are short, and gentle, and contain much Wisdom. Quotes of famous Native Americans are a Bonus. There are many, "Did You Know?" panels that give little known fact about Native Americans. An all around good book for anybody.
- I have had quite a few one day at a time books and so far I love this one the most. Sometimes I sneak more than one read a day its so good. I sit outside and read with the birds and other critters with my coffee and song in my heart...and this keeps it going.
