5 comments about The Multi-Orgasmic Couple: Sexual Secrets Every Couple Should Know.
  1. The best way I can sum up what this book has done for my sex life is- Paradigm shift. It opened my eyes to how important making time for sex really is. As a woman sometimes I suppress my sexual desires because I feel they are frivolous at certain times and believe that I should be getting more practical things taken care of. This book helped me to see that sex is very healing and necessary way for married couples to connect on a deeper spiritual level. My husband has not read the book however, my state of arousal and just reading for myself has helped him achieve multiple orgasm and we have found new ways for me to achieve orgasms as well. I recommend this book highly.

  2. I bought this book after practicing some techniques for multiple orgasm by Dr Newman K. Lin. These techniques are fantastic and workable. I bought this book to get into more detail about the taoist method in cycling the energy inside the body, and have multiple orgasm for men. I did read multiple orgasm for men and microcosmic orbit, and I found that microcosmic orbit is fantastic. It is workable but needs a lot of training. You need to be patient and try many times to reach there and see the light at the end of the tunnel. My concern is only contracting the PC muscle will trigger ejaculation, however you should contract the tailbone muscle instead. According to Dr. Lin these techniques will require 3 to 12 months to practice perfectly. According also to Mantak Chia, you may experience a small orgasm in the begining which is not comparable with the ejaculatory orgasm, but onwords these orgamsic waves will be intensifed and you will have a lot of pleasure. You will not need to ejaculate a lot, but what you will need is to have many orgasms. Incorporating this energy with intercourse and extract the female energy will give you soul orgasm and full body orgasm which you will never forget.
Beleive in yourself and beleive of the power of Allah which given to you and by pateience you will succeed.

Thanks for all people who helped us to see things from different angle.

  3. Discover how to have multiple whole-body orgasms and how to reach ever more fulfilling levels of intimacy and ecstasy together.

  4. As sex and intimacy coaches we recommend this book to couples and individuals in our practice and list it as one of the many resources on our website. While the focus on Eastern spiritual teachings may make the bookslightly less accessible to the general reader, the information contained in it has proven helpful to men and women who want to learn the art of multi-orgasm.

  5. I found this a wonderful book, although I have been able only to scratch the surface of what it claims to be able to teach a man. The emphasis on non-ejaculation is very valuable, even though I have never come close to the whole-body, non-ejaculatory orgasms said to be possible. I was, however, lucky enough to find a woman who could enter an orgasmic state with my staying erect and right with her for the better part of an hour.

  1. John Wooden is a certified legend, not only in basketball but in life. He has deliverd more positive role models than anyone. This book is outstanding and a must read, I have given this book to some of the most successful people I know and they are as impressed as I am. If you want to get your life in order and take the steps necessary to be success in life this is your book.

  2. I first heard of this book from a trainer in Mexico. It did not take me more than 30 minutes into reading to understand how valuable this book is towards self-development. It is easy to read and it's very convincing how each element in his building blocks have a directly impact on our lives. I use it to train adults and children with a slightly different approach but always giving credit to John Wooden and his book.

For those who are Christians, there is a segment at the end of each block with verses from the Bible for them to meditate on. I, personally, find it very useful. For those who are not Christians, they can simply ignore it as every element towards achieving success has a very logical rationale to it and it's spiritual beliefs is largely similar in other religions.

It's an excellent way to keep ourselves on track in everything that we do.

  3. I read this book after I read "Wooden on Leadership". I think once you understand the pyramid's concept, you can apply it to all aspects of life whether it be your own, your children's, students, players you coach, etc.

This is an amazing man who has proven the success of the pyramid. Highly recommend any of his books.

  4. "Coach Wooden's Pyramid of Success" consists of 3 main areas:

    1. Introduction to Coach Wooden and his concept of using a pyramid to teach success.
    2. 15 chapters on "Building Blocks" that includes such traits as: planning, self-control, alertness, and loyalty.
    3. 10 more chapters on "Mortar Qualities" such as ambition, sincerity, and honesty.

At the end of the book, Wooden and Carty take these qualities and show how they help form the "apex" of the pyramid. In each chapter ending there is a mention of a particular Bible verse that could apply to the described trait.

Read, enjoy, and be challenged by one of the greatest coaches in all of sports history!

    Highly recomended.

  5. This book is an excellent read for sports and non sports people alike. Coach Wooden goes into detail about his philosophy that made him such a success. The teachings can be applied both to sports and life in general. Very good book!!

5 comments about Alcoholics Anonymous: The Story of How Many Thousands of Men and Women Have Recovered from Alcoholism.
  1. I don't really understand the lengths I've seen people go to to discredit this book or the 12 steps in general. I am not a member of AA but I have a family member who was saved literally from the brink of death by NA. The changes in her and in her life have been nothing short of miraculous. If it was a 'cult' that brought about this change in her then I say Thank God for the 12-step cult, for it is truly a force of good.

  2. I was 21 when I got sober. At the time, I thought the book was outdated and could never help me. Somebody suggested that I go to a meeting to study this book, I drug my heels all the way there--but, five years later I'm still sober and that book study meeting is my homegroup.

This book has worked for millions of alcoholics. It's not the only way to get sober, but it's what's worked for me--for that, I'm greatful.

  3. The AA program has saved thousands of people from a life of hopeless addiction. This book lays out the whole program of AA. If you follow it, you will get better. Not only will you be able to stop drinking but your life will improve dramatically. It works if you work it!

  4. If you have/have had a problem with alcohol, this is the book to read. The AA program has "worked" for millions of people, since 1935, when other tried means did not. For the guy who said the chapter, "To the Wives," is a sexist piece of trash: Use your brains, buddy. It describes the alcoholic, whether male or female, and how their ("politically correct") significant others can cope. I'm a female recovering alcholic and didn't have trouble relating to the chapter nor saw it as offensive. AA saved my life and I will forever be grateful. And the text, "Alcoholics Anonymous," proved invaluable in my recovery journey. -- Debbie S., Andover, KS

  5. In having some personal experience in alcoholism and having now recovered from that aspect of my life for over 20 years now I can only say that the program of recovery outlined in this book and in AA has resulted in a life for me beyond what I ever thought I could become. This doesn't mean it will work that way for you or that this is the only solution but for me it worked with due diligence but it did take time. Breaking down self will is not an overnight affair.

The problem is that each person is complex and each person's recovery is different. This book outlines basic tools to find what works for me. These tools have been illustrated through the ages in many different religions and/or spritual avenues. The thing is it takes time and experience. I don't believe no one can pick this book up, read it through, and have their life change instantly. This is no doubt a program that relies on action of the steps and long term experience.

Being in AA since I was 14 and sober since 19 in many areas of the country I still do not understand the association of AA with being a cult. All I can express is I have a livable life now that is mostly enjoyed and not endured inside and outside the rooms.

5 comments about The Sixty-Second Motivator.
  1. Like any book in this genre this book will not actually help you unless your "motivated" to change your own behavior. It's simple, easy to read, and practical. It shows you the keys to changing your perspective on on how motivation actually works in yourself and others. I enjoyed it.

  2. Being a cardiac rehab nurse and spending a lot of time each day trying to get people to change their lifestyles to create better health, this book caught my eye. After reading it, I found the principles instantly useful for me to use at work. They can help anyone get motivated to get past the barriers that keep them from making changes to improve their health. Additionally, the book is short and to the point which is good for a busy Mom like myself.

  3. This is a great book for anyone to learn about how to motivate yourself or others. It's in a very simple story format without a lot of exercises like other self-help books. Very good book - I highly recommend it to anyone that needs to know more about motivation.

  4. I read this short book within a space of an hour. It is straight to the point, and is written in the style of a story. The author is a Physical Therapist and tells the story of when he was a student and he visited a senior Physical Therapist in a hospital as part of his training. He learned how to motivate someone within 60 seconds to undertake therapy by increasing importance + confidence in the patient. Although this book was essentially about how someone was able to increase his patients' motivation, this can also be applied to other areas of your life - for any goal. It is an easily understandable read and if you are looking for a way to increase motivation quick then look no further than this book.

  5. Along with helping to build my motivation, this little book was straight to the point and very easy to read. In this short story, the author combines his personal experience, and research to convey the importance of motivation through how ready the person is to change their daily habits for the better. The author tells about the patients he encountered during an internship opportunity and how change (no matter how big or small) helped them become motivated to do better. I would recommend this book to anyone who feels as if small change wouldn't be significant in their life. This book would dramatically change their opinion and make them want to strive for a better lifestyle. The Sixty-Second Motivator offers its readers simple steps (referred to as "secrets") to follow through with their improvement. It was enjoyable to read and very eye opening!

5 comments about No Ordinary Moments: A Peaceful Warrior's Guide to Daily Life (Millman, Dan).
  1. As always, a Millman book that is wonderful and heart felt with thoughts. I enjoy reading his books and rented the movie of the Peaceful warrior which was good as well. thoughts throughout the book make you stop and think about goings on in your own life. all his book are wonderful.

  2. I bought this book used for school and it was in very good condition. Thanks for the timely shipping. I recieved it only a few days after class started.

  3. I first got introduced to Dan Millman when a friend gave me "Way Of The Peaceful Warrior" as a birthday gift. I loved the book and the teachings contained within it. In fact I recently re-read it after seeing the movie "Peaceful Warrior" and thought it was as great as the first time.

From a practical standpoint though, it can be difficult to use that book as a guidebook for one's life and incorporate the teachings since you have to extract them from the narrative. This isn't a fault of the book, it's just not written as a guidebook. In fact, much of the appeal of "Peaceful Warrior" is the way the narrative "draws you in".

This book "No Ordinary Moments" fulfills the role of a spiritual yet practical guidebook. It is a compendium of wisdom that is organized in a way that is very easy to use on a day to day basis.

I'm am reading it from cover to cover but certainly one doesn't have to use it that way.

I've been dealing with quite a bit of stress in my life recently and this book (as well as Dan's more recent guidebook "Everyday Enlightenment" which I'm reading for the second time) is tremendously helpful in helping me keep perspective and get centered. I keep the two books in different parts of my house so I have easy access to each of them depending on where I happen to be. :)

What I appreciate about Dan Millman is that he is an ordinary man (has a wife, kids, bills etc.) and therefore has a lot of "real world" credibility for a person like myself. Like him I'm a husband and father with the pressures and stresses of trying to take care of many responsibilities while also trying to stay grounded and more peaceful while growing spiritually.

I certainly also appreciate teachings of spritual masters like the Dalai Lama and Thich Nhat Hanh, both of whom have dealt with their share of real life issues also (the pains suffered by the Tibetan people, and Thich Nhat Hanh's experiences with his homeland of Vietnam). Still, they are monks who do not live a life similar to mine, so there are areas where I tend to have a "disconnect" with them. Dan Millman's teachings speak from a perspective that resonates more with my personal experiences.

I also felt it important to mention for folks who have read "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" and "Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior" (another great book), that Dan's guidebooks are very different than them. Those are written more as parables where these other books ("No Ordinary Moments"/"Everyday Enlightenment") are written as guidebooks.

This may turn some people off who like the more "mystical" feel of the other books. Those books are a blend of fact w/ fiction and are more "riveting" to read, where the other books are more instructional and applicable to one's daily life.

For me personally, while I enjoy the "Parable/mystical" books, I find the guidebooks have more of an impact on my actual life.

I highly recommend all the books of Dan Millman's that I've mentioned, he has a gift for making these teachings accessible for anyone who is looking for a way to be inspired and connect spiritually.

  4. this is a great book to go along with the DVD, everyone should see the movie and read the book and use the daily readings. Great show

  5. If you'd like to experience profound joy, then this book will help you to balance your mind, body, and spirit, so that you can be more in tune with the joy within yourself that is waiting to be expressed.

Sometimes it reads like a parable, and sometimes like a guidebook, and in both there is a balance that makes it an enjoyable and fulfilling read that will bring you one step closer towards what you currently seek.

  1. Haley must have had a lot of time on his hands, but thank goodness for that. He's like the MacGyver of household cleaning. Who knew to save the baking soda for the drain. Works like a charm with a little vinegar. Also works great to mop up grease off the surface. No more blockages for me.

    Thanks Haley

  2. I have used this book for years. Now I give it as a gift at every Bridal Shower I attend!

  3. I like the fact that the book has lots of ways to clean but it lacks detail. It's as if the person knew what they wanted to say but couldn't get it down on paper. I don't think that the writer would have ever passed any of my college English classes.

  4. Haley's Cleaning Hints is a must-have in your home. I have both of his books and refer to them often. It's a go-to book that you shouldn't be without. There are so many helpful hints on what to do when getting out a stain using just what you would commonly already have around the house, ie. baking soda, vinegar, etc.

2 comments about McGraw -Hill's Top 50 Math Skills For GED Success.
  1. This is a great book for teachers, tutors and study groups. The book is obviously made up of fifty skills. Each skill is only a couple of pages long and offers practice with GED style questions. I like the book because the small bits of information make a quick review for students. A student can do one skill a day or a week and know exactly how much is left. I also like the book as an introduction to what students actually need. All too often students are overly concerned with fractions and not concerned enough about word problems and problem solving. The book keeps word problems and GED specific problem solving front and center in each skill.

  2. This book gets down to the nitty gritty and presents a great overview of math.

5 comments about Living Fully with Shyness and Social Anxiety: A Comprehensive Guide to Gaining Social Confidence.
  1. The author clearly explains how shyness is a normal human emotion which sometimes becomes excessive in ways that block the fulfillment of personal goals. This book provides significant insights into how and why contemporary North American culture can be a particularly difficult social environment for shy people. Erika Hilliard advocates an approach through which a person can accept what is positive about being shy while at the same time learning how to work through excessive shyness, one step at a time. Her many years of experience as a leader of groups for shy people shine through in her rich examples and warm tone that help the shy reader feel not only informed but also truly understood. Her concluding chapter is an outstanding guide to how a shy person can use this book as a resource for renewing and maintaining motivation in spite of setbacks that might be encountered.

  2. The book begins with the usual discussion about the symptoms of social anxiety. But then the author goes into presenting some ideas that are novel to the broader discussion of social anxiety. An example of this is how anxiety is a process rather than a fixed thing. Yes, this is a simple idea and yet it provides a new perspective on social anxiety that makes the condition less monolithic and more changeable.

The author also presents a must-read section that ties in information that has come out of recent scientific research about how the brain works.

The author's insights and information are easier to hear and therefore easier to apply in our own lives thanks to her easy and fresh writing style. She writes with a natural feel that is strikingly authentic in the face of the more dry, scholarly writing of other social anxiety books.

The second half of the book then offers solutions in the form of goal-setting, visualization, therapy options and skill-building. Her emphasis on action takes more of a coaching approach than the traditional therapy models and this keeps us from just dreaming about what we want and actually forces us to move forward.

  3. This book contains all you ever wanted to know about social anxiety, and is sure to help you understand the condition. However, I would have preferred more focus on solutions rather than so much reaching (about 300 pages). I might suggest starting with a shorter book or course (I used the program at mc2method.com which was great), and then reinforce your efforts by following up with this book. Good luck!

  4. If you are going to buy only one book on social anxiety, this is it. This book that not only compassionately presents various perspectives on social anxiety, but it also offers a vast array of solutions. These solutions are divided into easy to follow areas of mind, body and action. Once you've figured out how social anxiety affects you most, you can choose exactly which solutions suit you best. For extra guidance, there's an excellent appendix item full of goals that you can choose from, again, divided into areas of body, mind and action. I highly recommend this book.

  5. This was a very well written book, with no questions left unanswered. It helped me immensely in dealing with social anxiety and shyness, and I've incorporated alot of the suggestions into my daily life. It turned out to be more of a "self help" book than I expected in more areas than just shyness. It has helped me extremely. The author had experience in social anxiety, so she really hit home with things she expressed.

  1. I would say it was a 9 on a scale of 10 being the best

  2. This amazing book introduced me to possibilities . . . never mentioned by any physician. I researched the information, talked with my physician, GYN & pharmacists before starting the BHRT, with extremely rewarding results. Three years later I buy this book as a gift for women and they are amazed . . . at 68 years I introduce a positive new way of living. Go for it!

  3. This is the book to read if you are 35 or older! It is the best book ever and makes so much sense. It changed my life! All Suzanne's books are great! I bought this for four of my best friends and they all loved it! Thank you Suzanne for opening our eyes!!!!

5 comments about Relationship Rescue: A Seven-Step Strategy for Reconnecting with Your Partner.
  1. Dr. Phil just lately has been known in the Middle East through his program "Dr. Phil". I got to know Dr. Phil from quite some time.

This book is, as its name, a rescue procedure that the couples should follow. It starts with an inventory that each partner should do alone; evaluating him/herself independently, what were the weaknesses, how did I contributed to the failure/success of the relationship.

Then the real work begins..!!! Where the couple meets together and reviews the result. They should apply certain communication techniques. It is really very effective. At the end, the couple should agree and maintain certain techniques throughout the way.

It is not a book that you read for educational purposes, it is a life curing surgery.

For the best results, both couple should have the interest for the rescue. My advice, maintain the passion throughout the way, try to influence your partner if he(she) is not the driver for this process. It is a surgery...but very effective...

Wish you all the best while reading and applying this book...!!!!

  2. "When you own your relationship, you must hold up the mirror to look at yourself. You will finally realize that whatever your partner is doing, you are either eliciting, maintaining, or allowing that behavior." ~ 97

It is difficult to work on your relationship by yourself. That said, Dr. Phil believes you have a lot more control than you think. By analyzing your relationship you learn about the areas that need improvement. The book begins with a questionnaire of sixty-two sentences. You choose true or false then instantly find out if your relationship is in distress.

It takes quite a lot of time to answer all the other questions including sentences you complete and analyze. You may think you have a pretty good relationship until you see what the test results are. This book may even temporarily make your relationship worse, especially if you try to get your partner to take any of the tests. The 17 page family history evaluation did seem a little over the top.

This book requires you to make a commitment to making your relationships work. It is an extremely detailed program designed to improve your relationship in a matter of weeks. You learn to agree to disagree or to argue more effectively. You develop relationship skills instead of relying on the feelings (infatuation) you felt at the start of the relationship. Dr. Phil then delves into the dark side that can sabotage a relationship.

Dr. Phil completes the book with questions he thinks you might want to ask him and then in conclusion he writes a separate letter to women and then to men. For the most part this book is complicated yet engaging. The tests are fun to take if you have the time and they do reveal aspects you might not uncover in a more casual conversation. Dr. Phil takes on all the difficult subjects and puts the ball in your court. In one sense it can be discouraging to work on a relationship by yourself and on the other hand your partner might actually get involved in making the relationship work. "Relationship Rescue" is one of the most intense relationship books I've ever read.

    ~The Rebecca Review

  3. The Doctor focuses on The Reader, and hammers away at making the point again and again that it is The Reader, not their partner, that must embrace change and improvement. It's a strong book. I laughed at how he puts into light how good my relationship is by his standards of trouble. My reasons for buying and reading this book are the same as anyone's for buying a self-helper: uncharted territory and the wish of self-improvement.

My only concern is that this book would most likely never help those who are the ones who really need it. It makes strong points to this itself: You cannot control or change other people. And those who need this book are probably not smart enough to even consider reading it or seeing the need to change and modify themselves.

Thanks Dr. Phill. I am glad I read your book. It is strong and helpful.

  4. From what my husband and I have read so far, there is a lot to learn from Dr. Phil's Relationship Rescue. We also bought the workbook to go along with it and would highly suggest that people do that as well. The two resources put together are wonderfully productive. Just don't expect a "how to get your spouse to change" book, this is a book designed to help you better yourself. You realize what you are doing wrong so that you can begin doing the right things. Eventually, your spouse will come around based on your actions. The old proverb that goes something along the lines of kill meanness with kindness definetely applies here.

  5. This book is not what it is hyped to be, Not very informative and not what I thought it would be.
