5 comments about This Is Not the Life I Ordered: 50 Ways to Keep Your Head Above Water When Life Keeps Dragging You Down.
- This book is excellent.....better than I anticipated. I only wish it had been written 20 years earlier.
- This book is truly inspirational.... I discovered that I haven't put this book away after I read it. When I get overwhelmed, I pick it up and read random pages and there is always something there that helps put my life back in perspective. I have had this book for a year and I ordered it for my sister.
- Although this was not quite the book I ordered, it does have some inspiring stories, perspectives, and quotes on doing that thing called life. The trick is trying not to get too distracted with the all of the quotes, cartoons, and name-dropping sprinkled within each of the fifty short narratives. With a take-what-fits-and-leave-the-rest-behind attitude, this book is worth the read.
- Everybody has challenges at some time or another in life. What's hard is that a lot of people who seem so successful don't usually talk about the hard times and how to get through them. This is a book that does just that.
It's a comforting blend of stories and ideas. It's a kind of "workshop-in-a-book". You could bring this book to some friends and start a support group. Or you could snuggle up in your favorite reading spot for some nurturing words by a team of women who have been through it and not only survived, but thrived. It's a book of comfort, and inspiration. It's "girlfriend time" on paper that goes to the heart and soul of the matter. The only critical thing I can say is that there were more quotes than I wanted...they interrupted the flow of the authors who say so much so well. (And this from someone who loves good quotes myself!) Reading this book is a great gift to give yourself or a friend to help you through challenging times.
To Deborah, Jackie, Michealene, and Jan: Thank you! <3
Laya Saul, author of the self-help book for teens "You Don't Have to Learn Everything the Hard Way"
- One of the most remarkable things about THIS IS NOT THE LIFE I ORDERED is how it absolutely validates women who have noticed that it is just about impossible to achieve perfect balance in their lives. No matter how we may strive to "have it all", we discover time and time again that such a lofty goal seldom happens in real life... but all manner of unexpected problems occur instead. THIS IS NOT THE LIFE I ORDERED suggests how we can savor what we have when we have it, noting that most peoples lives go through passages of romantic, financial, career, and family happiness... and how we can find ways to navigate the times of tremendous challenge that can rock us to our very core. I especially love the way the four authors have truly experienced some of life"s biggest ups and downs, and how open and honest they are at sharing what it felt like to be shot and left for dead in a foreign land... or being the star of a highly popular TV show, which was abruptly cancelled. The advice these women share is truly food for the soul, as it comes across just as warmly as if it were being told to us across the kitchen table from one of our dearest friends. Indeed, one of the top tips this book provides is that rather than holing up alone in a cave when things get tough, women are most resilient when we make time and space for a group of other women friends in our lives who are also in transition. The notion that difficult times present us with opportunities is an old one, but it is presented in delicious clarity in this excellent guide to successfully navigating the unexpected eddies, currents, rapids and waterfalls in the river of life. I highly recommend this book to all women everywhere... as no matter how well we might plan how things are going to go, we can be fairly certain that some things will surprise us along the way, and we could use a little help from women who have made it through all the turbulence a little wiser by reinventing themselves along the way.

5 comments about Do It Tomorrow and Other Secrets of Time Management.
-
This book is easy to read, informative, well written, fun, short and practical. Buy it immediately!! If I had had to pay $500 for this book, it would have been worth it. The book addresses the nuts and bolts of getting through the day easily and with grace. . The author understands that most of us have a misguided sense of urgency and teaches us how to be selective in terms of declaring what is urgent so that you can stay on track with what you planned for the day. The book helps you get everything done you are committed to, so that nothing falls through the cracks. Your kitchen floor is just as important as the report due on your boss's desk. How you can get both the mundane and the big projects done day by day is the meat of the book. Project work due in a week, or a month becomes a piece of cake-because you learn to start it right away and keep going in little steps. I already feel more relaxed since I have started followed his suggestions, and am getting more done. I can see that it would be possible to be on top of everything, which would make life a pure delight. I had never seen that possibility before even as a time management consultant! There is nothing like it out there as much fun, doable and original in the time management field. Once you try some of his suggestions you will truly be in a position to go for your dream life. But on the other hand by doing what he suggests, you may already find yourself living it. If you are always struggling to get a grip on time like most of us----this is the book for you.
- "Do It Tomorrow"
Although I don't like the title of the book at first glance because of the tendency to think that procrastination is occurring, the depth of the book and the usefulness of it make it one book that I will never loan out.
This book is about the combination of skills including drawing a line in the sand with backlog work and creating what's called a "closed" list of daily work. The unique benefit of creating a closed list is that you truly learn what you are capable of doing within one day. This, of course, helps you determine when and if you should hire an assistant and what work you can possibly delegate to them to increase your own productivity.
When I use the principles from this book combined with the classification of work as described by D. Allen in Getting Things Done ("at computer", "phone", "waiting for", etc.), I'm actually getting more things done with less stress!
I wrote the author when he first started teaching these skills in seminars over in the U.K. a year or two ago. Unable to travel to the UK, I kept sending an occasional letter asking for a book. I'm glad I waited for two reasons:
1. The material is unique in many ways. It is because of flipping something on its head that allows me to enjoy some INCREDIBLY productive days that leave me filled with energy about accomplishment knowing I did the best I could possibly do with my time.
2. The material is something I can use to teach my employees how to better manage their time in an office that doesn't always have the ability to work completely off a closed list, due to emergencies and procedure/process execution.
I'm still working out some kinks, but have found his online blog help very useful for answering questions related to the book.
This book is 5 star on useful information!
- 1st edition (2006), 203 pages
Do It Tomorrow is only the fourth useful book on time management that I've come across (the other three are The 80/20 Principle by Richard Koch, The Effective Executive by Peter Drucker and The Management of Time by James T Mackay - the last two of which were published decades ago).
Most standard time management dogma seems to involve advice about how to cram ever more of what you are currently doing into your day. I have been deeply suspicious of this approach for a long time now. It never worked for me and I've not seen it working for other people either.
I'll quote a paragraph from the beginning of chapter four (`The Problem with Time Management') which gives a good flavour of Forster's style and approach to his subject:
"The two things I want to examine are the concept of prioritising by importance and the frequently used tool of making a to-do list. Both of these tend to be the sacred cows of time management, and I believe both of them are fundamentally wrong. The reason is the same in both cases: they tend to make us do more of what gave us the problem in the first place."
It is a great shame that it is so rare for an author to pay close attention to the evidence, even if it leads to conclusions totally opposite to conventional wisdom on the subject. Mark Forster is one of those authors and I strongly advise reading his terrific little book - you won't be disappointed.
- Mark's book is amazing, and following his principles has changed my life. He gives concrete ways to work -with- our natural resistance to whatever we might need to do.
For example, most of us use to-do lists. Mark recommends closed lists. Instead of our to-do list being a never-ending story - you finish what you're doing.
His method of dealing with backlog is killer. No - it doesn't involve throwing it out or ignoring it. Instead it makes the backlog entirely managable. Imagine coming back from a month long vacation and being relaxed about what you need to do?
A lot of people like David Allen's "Getting Things Done" and I do too. But even David needs to be listening to Mark. Want proof? After he wrote Getting Things Done, he put out his newsletter VERY sporadically and always apologized for it. I'm sure he now has systems and people in place now to get the newsletter out the door - but if his system worked - he'd have it together. He didn't.
The two books together are a good combination, but "Do It Tomorrow" definitely comes first - by far.
- I have been following the precepts laid down in this book for the last three weeks. By adopting Forster's methods, I have seen my productivity soar 30-40%. By accomplishing more, I am experiencing a qualitative improvement in feelings of well-being and contentment.
There is no magic to improved productivity. You have to do the work. No system will do the work for you. But there are experimentally validated, proven tricks for getting oneself motivated to do things instead of procrastinate. Forster is a master of these tricks and he lays them out in clear, simple language in his book.
The key insights are almost laughably simple. So simple, it's all too easy to reject them as childishly simplistic. But they work if you give them a try. And if you have substantial, difficult, and complex goals that still remain to be accomplished, you owe it to yourself to give Forster's method a test.
The fundamental fact of human nature that underlies Forster's system is that we crave completion. Forster criticizes conventional to-do lists because we can add new items to them throughout the day, impeding us from ever completing them. Forster's solution is to create a list of items to do tomorrow, and then draw a line under those items. If you complete everything above the line, you've succeeded.
Of course you never know exactly what will come up tomorrow. Things are going to demand your immediate attention and you will have to do them as well. But those new things are things you add below the line of the list you made up yesterday. As much as possible, you try to avoid doing today incoming new tasks that came in today. Your goal is to complete today all the items that you wrote down yesterday for today.
You can't imagine how powerful a motivator it is to complete today's list until you try it. The mind does crave completion. If it's getting near the end of the day and I still have a few items remaining on my list, I will move heaven and earth to get them completed. If there are still two hours left in the day and I am almost done with my list, I will complete those items. Then I will spend those two hours doing whatever I want. Maybe I'll do some more work. Or maybe I'll goof off. If I choose to goof off I will do so totally guilt-free. I know that I've done what I've set out to do and I know that I deserve the time off.
I've been following David Allen's Getting Things Done system for more than five years. I have found that adding Mark Forster's list-making system to Getting Things Done has been a boon to my productivity.

- I couldn't wait to get this book and once I did I wasn't diappointed. The book is very well illustrated and descriptive. My husband and I enjoyed what it had to offer. This book is for men and women. And because it was so illustrated I was able to get my husband to read it or at least look at the pictures so he knew what he had to do.
- This book is one of the best I've read in regards to learning more about sensual massage. It's taught me a lot and I'm much more comfortable giving massages now. I bought it along with Sex, Your Woman and You: How to Sexually Please Your Woman in the Bedroom and Beyond and it has been a real benefit to both me and my lady friends.
- This is a great big, almost coffee table styled book. It has great photos (non explicit) that are very helpful at demonstrating the various suggestions. Well worth the price.
- Amazing
This book is a very good book, regards to learning more about erotic massage. It's taught me a lot and I'm much more comfortable giving an erotic massage now.
You can learn very well how to do erotic massage if you read it.

5 comments about The Art of Speed Reading People: How to Size People Up and Speak Their Language.
- Wow, what an eye-opener this book is! I really enjoyed reading this book about human personality and strongly recommend it to everyone. The book compares different personality traits and guides the reader to effectively and efficaciously interact with people regardless of their trait. Wish I'd read this book in high school!
- wow this book gives us the best of solution to understand and identify the personality of others. I recommend it!
- My impression of personality tests where like Horoscope readings. However, after reading this book, I was mightly impressed.
It really does identify your personality type and explore your personal traits. The thing that I found most interesting was the way they explained the four temperaments. It talked about how the 4 temperaments are nothing new and how it has been around since history. I found this quite fascinating especially since I believe that people are unique and different. Although this may be true, I was quite convinced by the book that there are very similiar traits within the same group of personality type or temperament.
I think this is very interesting to think throughout history, even though we may evolve in different ways, we are basically the same people. Wow! To think there are many others out there that are like me is astounding. This book definitely opens up your eyes and gives you a great understanding of people and why people act that way.
I think it's also very important how the book notes that while this provides a great perspective, to use caution because there are many factors that could influence how a person acts (social expectations, culture, etc.) However, the book goes on to further say that a person's most comfortable way of acting is living to their personality. This may not make sense, but after reading the book, I'm sure you will.
The information as described in the book is about 80% accurate, plus or minus. There is a portion in there that seems highly contradictive for my personality type. Especailly when it talks about the I/E Feeling. However, most of it is pretty accurate.
I haven't finished the book, but obviously the book says it's suppose to teach you how to speed read people. I have been able to do this partly, but I think it does take intensive study for you to learn the material and have it readily available when you actually interact with people.
Overall, a definitely good read!
- I generally like Meyers-Briggs personality books. The test is pretty acurate as far as standardized personality tests go. It's pretty flexible and encompassing and if you haven't taken it you should. You'll learn something about yourself.
That said, I don't think this book was the best example of what one can achieve using knowledge of Meyers-Briggs. The speed reading is not very revealing. The tips they give are things anyone with familiarity with the system could figure out on their own. In the beginning of the book one of the authors talks about the time she had to give a presentation to someone and she observed that he was a meticulous fellow and then used her amazing people reading skills to determine that he might be very detail oriented, so she crafted her presentation with that in mind. Really? A meticulous person might be detail oriented? Well madame how DO you DO it? It's not bad information but it's stuff you don't need if you have any of the other Meyers-Briggs books and a bit of intellectual horsepower. If you've never been introduced to these personality tests I guess this is an ok introduction, but eventually you'll want to move on to something a bit more meaty, like "Please Understand Me", or "Gifts Differing". There is a little new material here but it's sort of a re-heated version of the previous two books I just mentioned. Sure some of it is useful stuff, I just think there are better books out there. But that's just my opinion. It is worth a look, maybe check it out from the library first and see what you think.
- These authors really know their stuff. This book provides amazingly accurate insights to the human mind~ why people act the way they do. Of course, it's not 100% accurate because no two people are exactly alike. So while they generalize a lot, it's nearly always correct. Sound like psychology? It is! This book will give you a good foundation of understanding human psychology, and if you're like me, and are entirely UNINTERESTED in psychology, this will cure you and help convert you to the real validity behind it.
I don't agree that it has helped me "speed read" people~ perhaps I am just so new to the concept of understanding people that I need more time. However, it has given me PRICELESS insights to the people I'm around everyday, and whom I have time to 'read' a little slower.
BUY this book. I daresay this is as fundamental to life as basic mathematics.

3 comments about Player's Handbook Volume 3 - Make Her Squirt! A Quick and Dirty Guide to Female Ejaculation and Extended Orgasm (Player's Handbook).
- I've bought a few books on this subject and have been close to making female ejaculation happen, but this is the book that put it all together for me. There is something about the way this guy writes which just clicked with me. Or maybe it's that I've been reading a lot about seduction and dating lately and was finally ready for the information.
Either way, at under $[...], you can't go wrong here. I appreciated that the book was short and to the point. There is no filler here. No theory. He gives you what has worked for him and others (including me, now!!).
I am confident that ANYBODY CAN DO THIS! It may take a bit of trying, but IT WILL BE WORTH IT. I was doing backflips when it finally happened and my girl thinks I am a superhero.
So try it. If you need help, post a comment here and I'll do my best to get you the advice you need.
Good luck everybody!!!
- Remember when sex was fun and new? Get ready to feel that way again, because Tommy Orlando is going to give you the details on something that will change the way you have sex.
Loved the first two books in the series and love this one even more. Tommy breaks down the most complicated stuff into a system that is easy to understand. The whole book can be read in under an hour, which I appreciated, because I'm a busy guy!!
I think this book would be great for men OR women. It is very empowering. I realize that female ejaculation isn't exactly brand new, but how many people know about it? And how many people can actually do it or make it happen?
Tommy shows you how anybody can do it and breaks it down in a step-by-step way. He gives you the background on female ejaculation and explains how science backs it up. This is important, because many people think it doesn't exist. You have to know it DOES exist if you want to make it happen, right?
Well, I can know tell you first hand that it does exist. It's very exciting, too!!
This book is worth 10x the price. 100x the price!!
- This is, hands down, the best book on the subject, if not the only one I've found. It's a lot to take in, so read slow and always make sure this is something she wants to try to. All in all, a good, informative read. Another good one: Sex, Your Woman and You: How to Sexually Please Your Woman in the Bedroom and Beyond.

5 comments about The New Complete Book of Self-Sufficiency.
- I've owned several editions of this book...and it has molded my relatively self sufficient life over 3 decades...for all of you wishing to escape from the 9 to 5, materialistic world...you can't go wrong with this book in your hands.
I also recommend "Living the Good Life: How to Live Sanely & Simply in a Troubled World", by Helen and Scott Nearing.
Peace on all your homesteads, and justice on earth in our lifetimes.
- A great read and an excellent beginners manual for the new homesteader. It handles a little bit of everything as it relates to the homestead, not as detailed as the TODAY'S HOMESTEAD series of books,Today's Homestead: Volume I but still, amply sufficient for the homesteading newbie. It holds a dedicated spot on my book shelf and is a great addition to any homestead library.
- John Seymour has improved and brought his work up to date with the times. It is every bit as informative as his first publication of this great and truly "complete" work for those who want self-sufficiency. There is no subject that is not covered for the self-sufficient. This is a great companion to his other great work the Self Sufficient Gardener.
- "The New Complete Book of Self-Sufficiency: The Classic Guide for Realists and Dreamers," is a truly wonderful book. But I didn't know until today, when I received my copy and recognized very familiar contents, that it is almost identical to "The Self-sufficient Life and How to Live It: The Complete Back-to-Basics Guide." "The New Complete Book" seems to be the British edition of "The Self-Sufficient Life", which was published in the United States. If you already have the "The Self-Sufficient Life" (as I do), "The New Complete Book" is not new. I'm glad Amazon has such a convenient return system!
- This book covers about anything--I would LOVE to be able to pull off his 5 acre plan but in the meantime this book is invaluable for most self-sufficiancy subjects. you may not learn every detail all of it from this book but it gives a good thorough overview.

5 comments about Seven Weeks to Sobriety: The Proven Program to Fight Alcoholism through Nutrition.
- We were given this book for a family member by our M.D., it worked and is still working 12 years later. Excellent reference book for general health as well as substance abuse. Success where AA failed, several times. I highly recommend this book.
- I can personally attest to the validity of the nutritional approach described in Seven Weeks to Sobriety. Five years ago I attended the outpatient Health Recovery Center operated by Joan Mathews Larson in Minneapolis, MN after about twenty-five years of almost daily alcohol use. During the five years since then I have never had a drink, except for one brief relapse from which I quickly recovered when my wife was critically ill with a rare neurological disease, shortly before she died.
The nutritional program at the center is virtually the same as described in the book except that during the first week or so patients receive three or four intravenous injections with large amounts of vitamin C and other nutrients to jumpstart the program and speed the detoxification process for serious cases. The balance of the program consists of occasional lab work in the mornings and weekly check-ins with a nurse. Afternoons and evenings consist mostly of educational sessions and discussion groups; fine tuning of the nutrients with a nutritional counselor, and occasional meetings with a therapist.
My recommendation to anyone wanting to use this approach at home is to purchase the book and buy the supplements directly from the Health Recovery Center, to ensure high quality. The cost of the supplements for the first six weeks is about $600. At the end of the six weeks it is highly recommended that a scaled down set of nutrients be continued for at least three to six months to continue the repair process. It may also be helpful, but not necessary, that you see a nutritionist to help tailor a meal plan to your liking and possibly see a therapist, if you feel you need additional support. An alternative, of course, is to attend the program in Minneapolis at a cost of about $16,000. In either case, the keys to success are taking the nutrients and controlling your blood sugar through a low carbohydrate diet (e.g., 75 grams per day). Also, avoiding caffeine and, if at all possible, stopping or reducing smoking.
-
On March 01, 2008 I quit five addictions that had held me for years and gave this program and honest shot. Almost daily I drank 8 to 12 (or more) beers, played 40 to 60 dollars of KENO, smoked 1 of pack of cigarettes, took 20mg of Prozac and drank 2 pots of coffee. Switching from ALL of the above to Dr. Joan Mathews Larson's nutrient programs outlined in Seven Weeks to Sobriety: The Proven Program to Fight Alcoholism through Nutrition. My urges for any of the above addictions have been "zero" to none. It has been nothing short of unbelievable for me. I am so thankful and recommend this book and program to anyone that struggles with drinking and thinks that it can not be licked. randy@springstead.net
- This is a very powerful breakthrough book in the field of addictionology. First book to examine the physical realities behind alcoholism and the first real effort to treat alcoholism through orthomolecular therapy - recognizing the reality that indeed alcoholism is a physically based disease with real science to back it up. Larson's book is not just theory, but practical and successful. Her success rates back up her insights. The entire field must read this book if there is going to be any advancement in the treatment of alcoholism.
- You can spend the next couple of hours reading all the various opinions written on this book (most all of them extremely positive), or you can scroll to the top of this page, buy the book, and begin living again.
Don't wait any longer; this book will change your life. It has certainly changed mine.

5 comments about Beyond Codependency: And Getting Better All the Time.
- The truth of the matter is:
We don't want to hear it and we make any excuse to deny it. This book is a denial killer!
I have been in recovery for years and let me just tell you, Beattie is right on top of the root problem. No matter who reads the words, the truth is loud and clear. I would recommend this item to anyone having problems with any relationship.
You don't need to be a doctor or a shrink to see the writing on the wall. Beattie spells it out and even if you don't agree, it will open your mind to change. Worth every penny spent!
- Melody Beattie's follow up to Codependent No More does not disappoint. I love it. It has fantastic stories and helpful strategies to live a happier life. I love this author.
- I've been a counselor for a good number of years and I have often recommended this book for individuals who desire healthier relationships where you can respect others and take care of yourself as well.
- this is a good book to own. my copy is dog-eared all over. and it make a wonderful gift for friends that you know who are having a difficult time. her interpretations of recovery bring everything down to a day to day experience that is very personal and very moving.
- Beattie scores again with this self-help book. This is more in-depth than her first book, "Codependent No More," and is for those of us who have moved past the beginning steps of our recovery.
Non-Christian Note: The one and only thing that put me off about this book was the constant references to religion. Yes, she says that any form of spirituality is accepted and acceptable for recovering, but when reading her book you can easily tell which one she prefers.

5 comments about Why Am I Still Depressed? Recognizing and Managing the Ups and Downs of Bipolar II and Soft Bipolar Disorder.
-
The past 12 years of my life have been plagued with increasingly more severe symptoms within the depression spectrum. Even though I have worked with numerous psychiatrists and various Dr.'s and have been passionately involved in my treatment, including implementing most every holistic approach possible (I'm a Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach). However, I've recently discovered Dr. Phelps's work and due the implementation of the perspectives and research he shares my health is rapidly improving. I've passionately researched the topics of depression, self help/improvement, psychology/psychoanalysis, NLP, psychopharmacology, neurophysiology, etc. and yet Dr. Phelps's material offers a ton of new and even life saving information.
My gratitude for Dr. Phelps extends far beyond the capability of words. I've never met him because his waiting list is over a year long (possibly closer to 2), but I can assure you that he's a man of great integrity, a big heart and impressively humble.
I truly hope this helps and I wholeheartedly wish you health and happiness.
- This was the second book I bought on the subject after my husband was diagnosed with bipolar type 2. Although some of the information was repetitive for me, it did a very good job of giving an overview of the disease and treatment options. What I liked most about it was that it devotes an entire chapter to trying to differentiate type I bipolar from type 2, and hypomania from true mania, and also talks a great deal about the mood spectrum. It also give some insight into mixed mood states, which are combinations of both depression and mania/hypomania which I think largely describe my husband.
- This book was exactly as described and in perfect condition.
Thank you so much.....
- This a very great book for those with or involved bipolar people. There's lots of very important info here to keep yourself on the up and make sure you avoid meds and things that can kick off cycling events.
- Very informative in helping to understand soft bipolar disorder and
the causes. Useful information on the treaments that are available.

3 comments about The Cuddle Sutra: An Unabashed Celebration of the Ultimate Intimacy.
- The author states that cuddling is the most intimate method of touch...and after looking through this book I would have to agree. My fiance and I are usually attracted to more explicit and edgier books, but we couldn't resist buying this one because it reminded us of how we cuddle. We especially liked the ideas on ways to hold each other while out in public.
- The world is certainly full of sex books. It seems that you can't talk about connecting with a person physically without it meaning sex. That's really sad! Some of the most powerful touches are NOT sexual. They are the holding of a hand as you walk down a tree-lined path ... they are curling up together on the couch to watch a romantic movie. The feeling that rushes through you when you run into your lover's arms after a long absence is one of the ultimate sensations in the world. Sex comes in a feeble second!
I am just SO glad that The Cuddle Sutra helps to encourage people to rediscover this lost art. From the moment we are born we want to be held. Infants relish being snuggled in their parents' arms. Teens love to snuggle. Where do we lose track of just how powerful snuggling and cuddling can be? If anything is worthy of a book, cuddling is.
There are cuddles of all levels in here. Let's start with the public cuddles. The book gives you a variety of choices. I love the pinkie clasp; we actually do this sometimes and it's delicate and powerful at the same time. There are the hands-in-back-pockets, the side by side, the full body press. The illustrations help you see and understand how snuggly each position is.
How about when you're hanging out with your lover on the couch? There are numerous options for reading, watching TV, or just hanging out. There's the position where you sit on either end, twining your legs and massaging the toes. How about where one person stretches down the length of the couch, and the second snuggles in against their chest? There are numerous options explained, each more comfortable than the previous.
Finally, there are cuddles meant for people who do share a bed. I don't mean that in a sexual way - but the cuddles are meant for both people to be able to sprawl a bit. You could do them on a picnic blanket out in the park, or on the floor of the rec room while you lay out to watch a movie. There are the classic ones, where you spoon up against each other to stay warm, and the comfy ones, where you lay your head on your partner's tummy as a pillow.
If I have any complaint with the book, it's that it starts with the in-bed positions right off. That is going to discourage the MANY people out there who are not living with their partners. You want to start subtle, with the walking cuddles and the couch cuddles. You work your way up to the full body cuddle.
So I highly recommend that any person who wants a vibrant relationship get this book - but start from the BACK. Tune up your snuggling as you walk, your subtle touches. Then nuzzle a bit on the couch or at the movie. This is about intimacy of the purest, most wonderful kind. It is about rekindling the human touch that we all crave.
- While sex is a great thing, sometimes a person just wants to be held and touched. Cuddle Sutra is a sweet book to give a partner and shows various cuddling positions. It's not deep or thought-provoking, but I think it wasn't meant to be. I am giving it to my girlfriend and we'll see how the cuddling goes. :)
