5 comments about The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook: A Step-by-Step Program for Curing Yourself of Extreme Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and Phobias.
  1. Great book to help someone work out his/her less severe "issues"... a nice supplement to a few sessions with a qualified therapist.

  2. This is the very best book ever written for those suffering from Panic/Anxiety attacks! I could not face life without it! It covers everything about what panic/anxiety is, to how to deal with it, information to help to heal with meditation, diet, drugs, connecting your with higher power. GREAT, GREAT book! I also know of Panic/Anxiety support groups that use this as "the book" for information.

  3. I bought this book after my therapist recommended it. I cannot put into words how much this has helped. The advice is practical and seemed to be written directly for me. I do not have any phobias so I only use about 1/2 the book... but it is still well worth the money.

  4. This is an actual "workbook". It doesn't just say that you should do certain things to overcome anxiety. It gives specific details about specific techniques you can use. There are pages that you fill out to assess your specific breed of anxiety, and it recommends certain techniques for each type of anxiety. This book is written in a way that the general public can understand. The beginning has an overview of the types of anxiety/phobias. A lot of information is repeated in different sections, but that just helps reinforce the knowledge. This is great in conjunction with Lucinda Bassett's book, From Panic to Power.

  5. As someone who suffers from social anxiety disorder, I have done extensive research and testing on many different things that claim to "cure" anxiety. Because medication and professional therapy is not an option for me (due to lack of insurance), I decided to try a more natural approach to treatment. I picked up this book recently and although it does have some really good ideas, it's a tad bit incomplete.

Let's talk about the positives. First, this does act as a workbook which encourages you to partake in the activities and write down your experiences. Second, the writer suggests quite a few different techniques to help treat you. He discusses meditation, positive thinking, breathing techniques, and he even touches on something that I personally believe is the most helpful-exercise and nutrition.

Furthermore, the author gives specific examples of things to tell yourself if you're experiencing self-doubt. He also describes how to meditate and even what to think about when meditating. If you believe that CBT is right for you, this book does a good job of explaining everything.

And now for the negatives. I understand this is a book for anxiety and phobias in general but some of these things just didn't/won't work for someone in my situation. Because I experience free floating anxiety a lot, it's hard to "talk yourself out of the situation" when you don't understand why the heck you're experiencing anxiety in the first place.

Another thing I disliked is that the author suggests that you correct your negative thoughts and instead change them into positive. What the author doesn't discuss is what to do if you don't actually BELIEVE the positive statement you're telling yourself. For example, if I'm in a situation where I feel that everyone is judging me and I become anxious, it doesn't help to tell myself "Oh don't worry about what they're thinking. They're not even looking at you." when there are, in fact, people looking at you. In terms of the whole imagining yourself in an anxious situation and then actually visiting this place, I don't think this would work for people with my disorder because it's all on a case by case basis. Whereas sometimes I'll feel uncomfortable standing in line in a certain grocery store, I'll be fine in other stores. It's not the actual place but the people you're around.

Although I do think there's a wealth of information on this book, I don't think all of the ideas work for every person with anxiety issues. There are books out there that are more "understanding" than this one so just search for one that is specific to your phobia.

5 comments about When Panic Attacks CD: The New, Drug-Free Anxiety Treatments That Can Change Your Life.
  1. Excellent audio cd/self help. Everyday listening and as needed, to get you back on track in life. I love to hear positive and motivating ways to steer through the curves of life's highway.

  2. David Burns, psychiatrist and author of best selling book "Feeling Good," once again writes a book that is easy to understand, and fascinating to read. This can help you with anxiety. The CD is a summary of the book. Burns addresses many causes of anxiety, and shows ways of reducing them, using Cognitive Therapy. If you don't like to read, but have anxiety, try the CD, and you might even decide to read the book.

  3. I suffer from anxiety attacks every once in a while and fear every now and then of having one. I went to therapy for it...but this Audio help me understand MENTALLY how to control and help stop it. It really did make me feel better to know that I can stop it and showed me HOW. Gave me peace of mind. I recommend the AUDIO.

  4. Not always we have the time to sit down and start working on a new project. Not always we can concentrate good enough to have food for thought right out of the box. This CD of the well known Dr. David Burns does a good job to introduce to some ideas how to deal with cognitive therapy and to the point, to help you get the way of thinking in many situations where our mind thinks wrong and have missleading atitudes.

Well read, good enough examples/stories of how CBT and way of thinking, and some rules of this kind of (well thought out) therapy works.

I dont think that from this CD package (of 3) you can know every situation how to deal with, but enough good to get you gasoline until getting to the gas station.

By listening to it a few times in my driving time I picked up alot of clues.. and from there I picked up a book on CBT ..only after I listened to the CDs of this package I was able to read the book more fluently knowing many of the concepts. This CD tells you interesting enough situatons in the form of (real?) stories to get your attention into the learning curve easily.

  5. This CD set received great reviews, which led me to purchase it----but I discovered it mainly contains peoples' "stories" and basic information. I have been there and done that; I'm not a panic disorder "newbie", I know I'm not alone, I know the symptoms, etc. If you want more involved information regarding actual TREATMENTS, they advise you to purchase the book. The problem is, some people are wired to learn by LISTENING rather than having to sit down with a book and I feel short-changed.

5 comments about Triumph Over Fear: A Book of Help and Hope for People with Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Phobias.
  1. Having "been there, done that" (anxiety), I've read a lot of books about the subject and I can highly recommend Triumph Over Fear. It's an inspiring, motivating book that covers all the bases.

I'd been a professional speaker for many years, traveling throughout the country giving presentations and teaching classes, then I was in a car accident and became agoraphobic. I told myself that I'd give myself all the time that I needed to heal; I'd concentrate on my writing and not travel for a while. Giving myself time to heal was a great start--I had another book published during those years (and even had a "brush" with an Oprah producer who pitched the idea of having me on the show)--but it had become easier and easier to stay home. I needed to do more. I had to "work" the ideas in Jerilyn's book so I could get back in my car and drive to the mall and go to the movies and, finally, travel again.

Jerilyn shares her own experience with having had anxiety and having recovered from it, then addresses the various anxiety disorders-agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive, panic, post-traumatic stress, social phobia, and generalized anxiety-and gives case studies that illustrate each of them. She also discusses treatment options and shares good solid expertise, common sense, and proven exercises.

Being a writer myself, I loved her suggestion to keep a diary. I also liked the idea of labeling the anxiety and paying careful attention to the thoughts and behaviors that trigger it. I worked the program myself rather than with a therapist, although I did attend a peer support group for a while. And yes, it was a challenge to drive to those meetings, but they were so helpful and necessary! At one time my anxiety had become so pervasive that I found myself wondering who I'd be without it. Jerilyn even addresses that issue in the chapter, "Becoming Acquainted with the New You."

Today I'm feeling better than I have in years. Read Triumph Over Fear for a clearer understanding of anxiety and for the proven, practical guidelines for getting on with your life. - Kathleen Hawkins, president of winningspirit.com and author of Spirit Incorporated: How to Follow Your Spiritual Path from 9 to 5

  2. This is a good book. It was referred to me by my psychiatrist for OCD. Although it did not address my issues and help me much with my needs, it did make me realize that my problems compare little to some of the issues and difficulties other people have! I liked the book very much and found it very encouraging and informative.

  3. I've been dealing with an anxiety problem for about 10 years now, only I have been doing it the wrong way with countless drugs given to me by my doctor. There comes a crossroads when you just can't do it like that anymore. I spent the past 3 years getting off the drugs that have done more harm than good and am now learning what I should have learned in the beginning. I have read a ton of books on this disorder and to be honest, some of them you feel the need to have a dictionary beside you they are so complex. The writers forget they are writing the book for people who are not familiar with medical terminology in their everyday lives. Triumph Over Fear is different from the rest in many ways. First, it is easy to understand for just about anyone and is clearly written. Most importantly, it isn't written by someone who has merely studied the problem but has never actually felt what it's like to go through it. It makes no difference how many medical books you have read, how many people you have met, how many letters you have added to the end of your professional name. Unless you've been through this problem you really cannot fully understand it. This author has and that makes her words that much more powerful. This book should be in everyone's home whether you are suffering currently with anxiety or deal with someone you are trying to help but just can't seem to understand why they feel the way they do. Don't wait as long as I did, your life is waiting but the freedom is in you.

In addition to this book, I recommend "Don't panic"-R. Reid Wilson/ and also "the anxiety and phobia workbook" those are more technical and extremely complete in every detail.

  4. Having suffered from panic disorder and phobias on and off for about 15 years,I have seen lots of therapists and read lots of books, none of which touched me like Triumph Over Fear. The author, Jerilyn Ross, is the first person I've encountered who combines both the knowledge of someone who has successfully worked with patients for over 20 years with the empathy and compassion of someone who has been there herself. As I read through Jerilyn's personal story and the various case studies of patients whom she has treated I realized that in spite of what well meaning therapists or authors can teach me about panic attacks, only someone who has experienced the irrational, seemingly out-of control spiralling of an attack can give me the assurance and confidence I needed to move forward. In addition, the self-help portion of the book gave me specific, practical things to work on by myself and with my therapist - which ultimately lead me to making wonderful personal progress. I highly recommend this book to anyone suffering from panic attacks as well as to family members trying to understand their loved ones' condition.

  5. I have been dealing with anxiety since 2002, and Panic attacks for the last two years. Since I've been ready this book it has help me in so many ways! For people that are dealing with Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and Phobias I would get this book and fast. Thanks to Jerilyn Ross!

5 comments about Embracing the Fear: Learning To Manage Anxiety & Panic Attacks.
  1. This book offers some good ideas for dealing with anxiety -- nothing new if you've read many books of this kind, but it would be helpful for someone who is new to panic attacks. An informative book, but not the key -- I'm still looking for that.

  2. I have not finished the book in whole, but thus far it has been very helpful to me! I have been determined to work though this without tons of medications and things provided in this book help me with this goal!

  3. My mind was filled with so much worry, so much doubt. I begun avoiding people and certain situations. I had lost touch with reality and really didn't care for living anymore because I felt hopeless. But the techniques in this book saved my life and gave me hope. It took a little while but I eventually started feeling better which made me want to read and practice the techniques even more. If you are suffering from anxiety, get this book, which teaches you to lower your expectations, embrace your fears and not fight the feeling but to allow it to occur, and to learn how to go with the feeling. I don't know where I would be if it weren't for this book.

  4. This book is probably the best one I have read on fear and anxeity outside of the Bible. I was diagnosed with GAD in 2003. I found this book to be straight forward and extremey practical. I have employed many of the suggestions in this book to success. I especially enjoyed the testimonials at the end of each chapter throughout the book and the examples on how to cope with certain phobias/situations at the end of the book. This helps you realize you are not alone. It is important to note that the road to recovery is a long one. However, the Bible says in Isaiah 41:10 "Do not be afraid for I am with you. Do not be discouraged for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." God is and will be with you on this journey. I highly recommend this book to anyone facing fear and anxiety issues.

  5. this book is being read by my partner, who deals with anxiety on a daily basis. She has found this book a great comfort offering insights and great coping tools. I'd it is a must for anyone needing relief from daily Anxiety and panic disorder.

As a side note: Most people who live with or work with people who deal with panic d/o;anxiety, don't realize just how painful this disorder can be for the person experiencing it. The best comfort seems to come from within making any practical coping tool a salvation.

  1. I love this CD!!! It has been so helpful in reworking the way I think about panic. It is a great tool to use. I would highly recomend this to anyone with a panic disorder.

  2. In fifteen minutes or so, I learned how to breathe, relax and take control. Sounds too easy but it works!

  3. I've bought several guided meditations in the past year, but I never really like them. The people doing the guiding had unpleasant voices, which to me cancelled out what they were saying.
Luckily, by chance, I ordered one by Belleruth Naperstak, and this one works for me. She has a very pleasant voice, and the background music isn't distracting. Also, she has both guided meditations, and a section on affirmations. She says that the affirmations work better for some people than the meditations, and I agree. The way she does them works well for me. I think they last about 12 or 13 minutes, and in that short period of time, I drift off to sleep. I truly think that listening to them over and over has "soaked into my mind" and is helping me with my attacks(which are related to my poorly controlled high blood pressure). I intend to order a couple more of her CD's. I think they are the best.

5 comments about I Never Held You: A book about miscarriage, healing, and recovery.
  1. Only those who have been through a loss like this know the pain and can relate. Unfortunately there are not a lot of people close to me that I can lean on for support that have had this experience. Friends and family offer great support at first but eventually everyone feels you need to "just move on and get over it." Until you have walked in these shoes, you will never know how impossible that is to do.

I was doing some research on down to earth books that not only I could relate to about this subject, but also would help heal my heart and also give me hope and inspiration. This book was such a great comfort to me that I could never put into words it's power. I weeped over similar stories, but also found hope and strength in them. Above all, I was relieved to know that I was not alone in my feelings of anger, jealousy and pain.

When nobody else was there for me, and when people were tired of me rehashing my pain and experience....this book was there to help me pick up the pieces. I would suggest this book to ANYONE who has gone through the loss of a baby. You will not regret this purchase.

  2. I was amazed how very few choices you have if you are looking for books to help with emotional support during such a lose. I found Grieving the Child I never Knew much better since I was looking for something in a Christian format.

  3. A lot of the info is pretty basic, however she presents it in a way that applies it specifically to a still-birth or miscarriage.
I have had two miscarriages both early in pregnancy and I found this book very helpful. I have started to read 5 different books and this is the only one that really helped me through it.

  4. There is nothing outright terrible about this book.. It just was not what I was looking for.. I was hoping for a book of women who would share their stories, talk about their emotions, make me feel normal.. Instead, its more of an instruction guide on how to get through it.. I didn't get the book til I was 3+ months past my last miscarriage.. And, since it was my 2nd.. I feel like i already KNOW how to get through it.. I felt that the authors were sort of telling me what I should do, how i should feel.. where i was looking for people to tell me how THEY felt..

  5. I found this book to be excellent for those who are struggling with their own losses and are looking for a book that will comfort them and give them a glimpse of that light in the tunnel no matter how little it may be.

5 comments about Don't Panic Revised Edition: Taking Control of Anxiety Attacks.
  1. I have read many books on anxiety disorders having suffered from them myself. This is the best book I have read on the subject. It is clear and easy to read. It outlines the causes of anixety so you can stop anxiety. It is the only anxiety book I have read that did not jump right to prescription medication as being the only solution. It challenges you to go deep within yourself and your lifestyle to look for possible answers.

  2. This is an interesting and informative book for those suffering from anxiety and panic attacks. If you or someone close to you suffers from panic and anxiety, and you are ready for a change, buy a couple of copies of this book. I have suffered from anxiety my whole life, I bought this book, read it and then bought a copy for my mother. It can help you change the attitudes with which you deal with your anxiety (or your anxious loved one) and show you the road to recovery. I have spent lots of money on phobia "cures". This book is not expensive AND it offers a plan that works. Can't beat that!

  3. My mother has been suffering from anxiety attacks for several months and I got her this book thinking it would help her understand things better -- unfortunately, I think the way the book goes into the details of having an anxiety attack was too much for her and she started having more of them. She wasn't able to go beyond a certain point in the book and I told her not to bother.

My mother will be 80 in January, and these attacks scare her quite a bit (plus, she lives alone). I wouldn't argue the benefit the book may have had for other people, but I certainly think it's not going to be a "one size fits all" and much will have to do with the reader's personal situation and state of mind. Caution should probably be followed re: puchasing this book in situations involving the elderly and an already "fragile" mindset.

  4. I have been dealing with anxiety and panic on and off for the past 7 years or so. My undertsanding is that this is partly because of my genetic makeup and also some pretty nasty hormonal changes which is the root of the casue. During the past 7 years I have done a lot of research and reading in relation to anxitey and panic. i have to say that this book, is the first of many I have read that has been tremendous help and has put me on a path to recovery. You need to use this book in conjunction with a good doctor who you trust and good therapist who you trust who specialises in anxiety disorders, so you can have someone check up on your progress. I cant stress enough how important it is to find a good doctor/therapist and stick with them, so that they can follow your progress and know your history.

This book is an excellent tool in explaining anxiety and if you practice the techniques, importantly relaxation and your breathing, you will find yourself with the power over panic back in your hands. All you need to do is desensitise your brain.

  5. I have panic disorder which has caused heart anxiety. The very first pages of this book are SCARY. They talk about real and fatal physical problems that can cause symptoms like Panic Disorder before they even talk about Panic Disorder.

They do nothing to reassure readers that if they have had a diagnoses of Panic Disorder that the symptoms truly are just nervous symptoms. In fact, this book even goes so far as to talk about the amount of people that have had severe heart problems that are misdiagnosed with Panic Disorder! Now why in the world would you do that to a group of people that are well known for having a health anxiety?

If you are agoraphobic and do not have health anxiety issues then maybe this book might be okay but then again,I suspect that if you didn't have health anxiety before you read it, that you may have health anxiety by the time you reach the end of chapter one.

I wish I had never bought it!

5 comments about Panic Attacks Workbook: A Guided Program for Beating the Panic Trick.
  1. Great workbook, I wish I would of found it 12 years ago. Great exercises, makes sense. Highly recommend if you suffer from panic disorder.

  2. A client told me about this book. It is essentially the same process that I use in therapy. Very good self-help book!

  3. This is without a doubt the best material for anxiety/panic attack recovery. I found myself laughing(in joy and motivation) at a lot of the questions Dr. Carbonell asks- partly because they relate so well to me and forced me to think of how silly my notions of "danger" and "fear" as it relates to anxiety actually are. The author literally dismantles and tears down anxiety for what it actually is- a trick, nothing more, nothing less. I felt as though my long held stuggle with this apparent giant monster of anxiety/panic had been slapped in the face and stomped on. Ater reading this book, I can't help but to think that anxiety is the hack illness of all illnesses. In other words," why am I panicing over something thats completely harmless?" Great Book.

  4. I think the way the author deconstructs panic attacks, in a thorough, friendly and humorous way, makes it easy to see just how harmless they really are, regardless of how painful it seems at the time. I am learning to apply the techniques to manage panic attacks, and have already seen results. I have even found relief with anticipatory anxiety (a whole chapter on that). There are also helpful chapters devoted to public speaking and flying.

I also found it helpful that the author had suffered with his own panic issues and relates how he faced those and handled them. I think that goes a long way to lending credence to the work. Some other authors I have read have seemed too insensitive on the issue and have been too clinical, which caused me to drop their techniques.

I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who has suffered with panic attacks. And DO the exercises and answer the questions! It's a workbook, after all.

  5. If you are experiencing panic attacks of significant intensity with or without agoraphobia, this is a great book to consider. Dr. Carbonell's sense of humor is tops and his writing will make you feel at ease. It is, however, a self-guided program that takes extra guts and moderate motivation, which is sometimes hard to muster when you're experiencing severe anxiety. I tried it for a few weeks and it helped me get back on my feet.

5 comments about Hope and Help for Your Nerves (Signet).
  1. This book definitely deserves 5 stars! Yes, it is outdated with the language, but it doesn't matter - it still does what it's supposed to - cures panic attacks. I'm serious. I've had them for years. I still don't trust my nervous condition, but the panic attacks are practically GONE. Reading this book, along with putting my trust in God has made a complete difference in my life. I wish I had known about this book years ago. I've been suffering with panic attacks for easily 13 years or more. There were times I wished I wasn't alive. If you have panic attacks, the shakes, unknown cause palpitations, etc. please read this book. It WILL change your life.

  2. This book will help relieve your anxiety! I wish that every doctor's office would have a list of self-help books and include this one to help every person understand what is going on in their minds. Medicine is a help, not a cure. It can be scary if this is the 1st time you are going through difficult anxiety. I highly recommend this book. I have read other comments that say the book is dated. I agree with that comment, but I don't feel that interfered with the lessons learned or the knowledge gained from this book. There is Hope and Help for your nerves and this book is it!

  3. Dr. Claire Weekes had an understanding not only of medicine and the human body, but people as well. In particular, she understood those who suffered with nervous symptoms and illness. She promised no magic secret or elusive cure known only to her, but set out in a sensible, realistic way to explain just how nervous symptoms 'trick' the body.

So many people are pushed to the brink because they don't understand what the body can do under prolonged stress, or as Dr. Weekes calls it, 'sensitization.' The heart skips a beat, you can't catch your breath, the pulse races, the stomach churns, you feel constantly off-balance, your hands tremble and on and on. Until you think you are some sort of mental case. Not so.

Because of the different personalities of individuals, (we all see and feel things differently), our thoughts and emotions can greatly enhance our lives and conversely they can make us miserable. It is interesting to note that most people who suffer from nervous disorders are quite feeling, kind, sensitive people. Those who suffer the tortures of an overloaded mind and nervous system often suffer quietly and believe that no one ever has suffered as they have.

Not true. You can get through it and this easy to use and practical book shows you how in great detail. The answer is simple though often not easy. It takes committment and practice on a daily basis to 'retrain' the brain and muscles that the terrifying feelings are just that, feelings. Depression, anxiety, phobias, and fears of all sorts are the product of a heightened sensitivity that can be overcome with understanding, patience with yourself, and a willingness to change.

When I first read this book, I was convinced that the symptoms I was experiencing were mine and mine alone. No one would or could ever understand, and to a large degree that is true. We are all different. It can be a living nightmare to go through prolonged symptoms and at the same time try and get those close to you to understand them. But the honest truth is that the way out of suffering is through it.

Of course, medication can help greatly. Some people may need it a short while, and others for a long time. It doesn't matter. You wouldn't tell a diabetic to just 'straighten up' and throw their insulin away unless of course, they no longer needed it. If it sounds as if I am a fan of medication prescribed under the right conditions by a competent doctor, I am. No one should feel guilty for trying to tackle nervous symptoms in whatever way they feel comfortable.

But you may also find that with the tools you will learn about in this book, the need of medication dramatically decreases. The key point is not to let the opinions of those without experience in what you are going through to dictate how you 'should' be. Be kind to yourself. You are a human being and deserve the right to live a life free of the agony of nervous symptoms. This book will show you how in a remarkable way. Yes, it really works.

Dr. Weekes was far ahead of her time in so many ways. But she also stands on a solid and timeless foundation of understanding and common sense that sets her apart from others in the field who claim that cures can be effected in strange and bizarre ways. Get this book, do what it says, and practice, practice, practice. Then endorse yourself for the effort win, lose, or draw. There is a way out and with Dr. Weekes' methods, you will learn how.

  4. This book is great when it came out, but a lot of the information inside is really out of date. The terminology is funny and noone, but noone utilizes supervised sedation or ECT to treat panic disorder anymore. I recommend that the publisher revise, revise and revise before they reprint this book.

  5. I bought this book because I was tired of my doctor telling me there's nothing wrong with me. How could he say that when I had all of these symptoms. I had it in my mind that it couldn't be anxiety because I have always been a very strong person and admitting it was anxiety would have been too much for me to handle because it would mean to me that I was weak. The book helped me understand why my nerves never really calm down and how it is a cycle that you CAN stop. I have been focusing on using the steps in the book and have had great success and feel so much better. It's not an overnight cure but I feel there is hope to be normal again.

  1. As someone who struggled with panic attacks for over 25 years, I have read a lot of books about anxiety. I now plan to get rid of all of the others! I read Dr. Burns' Feeling Good at my lowest point last year and it was a lifeline for me. That book focuses more on depression, and while some of the information in it applied to anxiety, I kept wishing he would write a book specifically on anxiety. This book has advice and exercises for every type of anxiety. Whether you have job performance anxiety, social anxiety, fear of riding in elevators or having blood drawn, the tools you need to overcome your fears are in here.

The key is--and Dr. Burns reinforces this point--you have to do the exercises in order to feel better. This means actually writing your answers on paper. It also means, in many cases, facing your fears. His methods combine exposure therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. His words are warm and humorous, and you will feel supported as you break down barriers you may have built up for years.

Dr. Burns has improved my life immeasurably. I, and all of my loved ones who have had to suffer along with me for so many years, are grateful! Buy this book and try the exercises.

  2. Having suffered from panic attacks for many years, I was finally fed up. I searched the library and choose this book. It is hard to face the fact you suffer from panic attacks when everything on the outside appears so wonderful. I could not hear or look at the words "panic attack" with out feeling anxiety. This book saved my life without question. I did the exercises and the mood charts. I have checked the book out 3 more times. I don't know why I have not bought it because it is inexpensive ($7.00). It is good to keep for reference.
In another review there was a comment on the successful people in the book. That was a huge help to me because even successful people suffer from anxiety disorders. Would you want to hear that you suffer from a disorder that only unsuccessful, depressed people suffer from? I don't think so. If you want freedom from a panic attacks, you must pick up this book. I wish I could contact Dr. Burns myself to let him know that he changed my life.

  3. Very practical method to cope with panic attack. I want to incorporate this method in my current work as crisis worker.

  4. Self-help books are usually very hard to read, I can't seem to get through them. This book is a very easy read. I find myself not wanting to put it down. It has practical examples and easy to interpret instructions that are helping me get control of my thoughts. I would recommend it to anyone with anxiety or panic problems.

  5. Of all the books and therapy that I tried for my growing anxiaty attacks this was the best help: I definetely recommend this book for anybody with this kind of issues; it will give you a truly way to cure your panic drug free!
