2 comments about Successful Selling With NLP: Powerful Ways to Help You Connect with Customers.
- All in all I have to say I found this book a little bit disappointing. It felt like I was merely re-reading ideas I've seen countless times before, presented in a way, that made them look new. If you're new to NLP and want to see some appications of NLP to business it might be worthwhile, but there are much better NLP sales books out there.
- As you can read on the cover, this book translates NLP-concepts in a language directed to persons who need to do some selling. If you have some NLP training and some sales experience, this book won't teach you many new things. If you don't have both, or you are looking how to apply NLP skills is a sales context, this book can give you some directions. Part 4 ("Sales management") some stuff that does not directly relate to sales itself, but it is useful if you are a salesperson, or if you want to be come one. - La forma de enseñar la PNL del autor es excelente. Había leído varios libros del tema, pero ninguno como Duane para exponerlo.

- I've read them all, and this one really delivers. I understood what he had to say, it all applied to my everyday life, and I just felt good about it all as a result of reading this book. If you're wanting to know about NLP, this is the book. If you're already into NLP and want people around you to know what you're doing, this is the book too -- it will save you a lot of efforts down the road!
- When seperated from all the chaff, Emerick's ideas are intriguing. The problem with this book is the chaff. On his way to (eventually) conveying his message, Emerick manages to bore and irritate the reader with page after page of empty and useless elaboration of a point that he has already made. I found myself saying "enough already!" as I skimmed in search of the next bit of substance. Ironic for a book about communication, eh?
- First, this book is great. It gives step by step procedures that really work. I've made a lot of money and increased my general happiness (and others around me) because of what the book taught me. My advice: read it with an open mind and re-read it every so often.
- Most NLP books are unreadable.
NLP is supposed to be about the study of excellent human performance, and how to model it. However, most NLP books get caught up in issues like hypnosis and therapy, and are written like psychiatric textbooks: bore, snore. Most NLP "poobahs" thumb their nose at Anthony Robbins; let's face it, his works are popular because they're about self-improvement and are east to read. This book by John Emerick is along the same vein, but with more specific how-tos, and less cheerleading, than the Tony Robbins books. Rather than spend hundreds of dollars on NLP and NLP-related books looking for a guide for specific self-improvement, buy this one.
- This has got be one of the worst books I've read. Yes, even worse than those psychology books on tests and measurements that you took in university ... and those were pretty bad.
This book was obviously written to fill pages and make it look substantial (the only thing substantial about it is it's price).
It's opaque and the subject matter, which should be exciting, is agonizingly painful to grasp. Listen, you have to have a good command of the english language to communicate effectively in the written word ... especially in the written word. Repetition and recycling a limited vocabulary in annoying and irritating. What makes every turkey think they are qualified to write just because they have taken a few courses? Hey, if it was that easy, getting your jouralism degree could be done in an afternoon. Duh.
My recommendation to all of you that are considering this book is: A) save you money ... and more important, your time. B) You're better off to re-read 'using your brain .. for a change' by Richad Bandler. C) Wait for another book on NLP.

- This two tapes audiobook is really good as it is not only giving you theory of how NLP works, but also full of practical exercises of some NLP concepts. I think this audiobook is especially good for people like me, having read several books about NLP, knowing some basic theories, but lack of experience of practicing NLP exercise with a coach face-to-face.
- Lots of techniques to apply to various parts of your life.
However, you should have get some practice with creative visualization before. I borrowed the 2 tape/cd version from my local library first and was so intrigued I bought the 6 tape version. I have practiced Silva method quite a bit before so some of the techniques here are familiar to me. Lots of parallels between methodologies. Many paths in the same direction. This series has most of the techniques that are sold individually for much more on eBay etc. Similarly, between this series and NLP : The New Technology of Achievement, you seem to get most of topics covered by the $ x,000 NLP practitioner courses.
- Unless it has since been removed, the review above from Mr. Alex LAM is for the two (2) tape set, and not for the six tape set.
- I love to read and listen to NLP tapes and C.D's to learn all the techniques I possibly can. I must say that in all honesty I was very disappointed in the content of these two c.d.s. Anthony Robbins NLP c.d.'s are the best I've listened to so far. These c.d.'s lacked the content that I was hoping for.
