5 comments about Why Men Love Bitches.
- I LOVE THIS BOOK! I READ IT AT LEAST 10x AND CONTINUE USING for REFERENCE.Argov points out some really important things that a lot of women forget once they are really into a someone. They forget to love themselves. If you have never read this book it's a must have. I live by Argov's advices, and most of the advices worked in my personal experiences.
- I had a friend recommend this book, as she had heard other non-married women recommend it. I think it is pop psychology at it's worst and I like pop psych usually.
If you are truly a doormat in all facets of your life, can't say no, then buy the book.
If you are single, because you have focused on your career and have a limited dating pool then don't buy the book.
If you like the book "The Rules" then again you might like it. I think dating as a grown up requires throwing out the rules, being honest and enthusiastic to meet new people. This book doesn't suggest that as a solution versus once again the single woman is told "it is all you." It could really be you, I don't know you ;-)
The book is written in a satire format which is amusing, but I read about half of it and said enough. I do have a friend who I think maybe could use the book, but I am afraid she might take it literally. So for now it lies beside my bed and I probably won't finish reading it.
-
Basic training in relationship self-respect for women, wrapped in humor.
Recommend it for all women, as well as "Why Men Marry Bitches.."
Good refresher for those of us widowed or divorced, as well.
- This is a hilarious book. There are so many truths that you can find out about yourself by reading it. I have to admit, there were times that I was so shocked at what I discovered about myself that at some point my jaw dropped!
- Its a book every women will benefit from unlike many other books on the same subject...this book is simple, easy, clear, and right to the point.
Simply I LOVED IT and read it twice :)

5 comments about How to Become an Alpha Male: Attract Women and Become Successful at Seduction.
- This book doesn't really talk about anything that going to get you any where, just waist of time. I would not recommend this books to nobody.
- I just finished reading "How to Become an Alpha Male" and must say that it was awesome book!
The best thing about it is that if focuses on what YOU need to do to become a successful person, not only with women, but life in general. That is one of the big differences I enjoyed that made this book stand out amongst the pack.
Plus, I've been interested in refining my personality, I'm happy with who I am, but I knew that I could become a better person if I consciously worked at eliminating any inferior traits I possessed and adding those TRUE "alpha male" traits that most (if not all) successful people have developed.
This book has filled in a lot of the missing pieces of what the alpha male does differently, from the way he carries himself to the way he talks, thinks, and acts. I thouroughly enjoyed it!
If you're in the process of creating a better you, I suggest studying this book!
- This is a fantastic book on becoming a more effective man and a more attractive person. Be ready to work on yourself, though, because the premise of the book is not on how to "seduce" a woman...but rather on how to become the type of man that is naturally attractive to everyone. While the ideas may not be wildly unique, they are intelligently presented and will be helpful to any man that is looking to improve himself.
- This book has some good advice, my only complaint is that it's priced a bit high.
- I only got this book 3 days ago and have already "scored" using a few of the techniques.

3 comments about Cosmo's Steamy Sex Games: All Sorts of Naughty Ways to Have Fun with Your Lover.
- There are 12 different games like truth or dare and sexy scavanger hunt where your partner is blindfolded and you put three different foods of your choice on different parts of your body and he has to find them only using his month. Very fun cards and highly recommended.
- This is a great idea for a bridal shower, bachlorette gift, Valentine's day - it doesn't matter the occasion! Get it for yourself, your significant other (male or female) you'll be hard pressed to find someone who's returned it!
- My wife bought this as a surprise for our romantic weekend away. Most of the games are not very exciting and they don't tell you ahead of time that you'll need a lot of props. So we couldn't even try half the games on our weekend. The other games are mostly roll playing and questions. This is great if your a young couple who are still getting to know each other in the early stages of a relationsship and what to have some fun. If you've been married for a few years there is not much here unless your totally sexually repressed.

5 comments about Perfect Love, Imperfect Relationships: Healing the Wound of the Heart.
- This book "Perfect Love Imperfect Relationships" is great. It really goes to the root of the problem and the reason why we feel unlove and can't connect with those around us. It is the "go ahead" to opening the window of opportunity to a meaningfull life, while creating a new way to see the world. It encourages us to seek to forgive our past and focus on the present in order to have happier lives. In my particular case, it was the answer I was looking for. I agree with the writer. I had a trouble childhood and this book made me realized that I am in control of my life right now. It made me realized that I am not at the mercy of anyone. I strongly recomend it!!
- In this book, Welwood examines the concept of unlove and how that concept motivates the unhealthy patterns that people sometimes act out when in a relationship. I enjoyed this book as I enjoyed his other books. What I found useful was his thoughtful but also detailed examination of unlove and how it manifests. His examples of his work with clients was also helpful for illustrating his theories about unlove. Most importantly I came away with a better recognition of my own issues and how to cultivate a good awareness of those issues. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to better love hirself.
- As a psychotherapist with 30 years experience, who works with couples, I consider this book to be one of the best for therapists of all levels of training. My colleagues and I agree that the best way to use this book is to savor its contents, digesting the lessons slowly, perhaps even reading sections to clients. Welwood is a gifted writer, centered in his psychospiritual approach without neglecting important aspects of patient-therapist connection.
- Welwood is a good writer whose books read smoothly. My problem is that he borrows most of his ideas from people like author Stephen Levine. Read Levine's book "Embracing the beloved: Relationship as a path of awakening" or "Gradual Awakening" and see what I'm talking about for yourself. Levine's books predate Welwood's by 10 and 30 years so there's no question about whose robbing who.
- Perfect Love, Imperfect Relationships is a tender book based on clinical sound concepts and essential spiritul truths that transcend any one spiritual path. It is a human work of love for each of us to imbibe whether we are professionals, seekers or simply want to feel loved and safe.

5 comments about Allies in Healing: When the Person You Love Was Sexually Abused as a Child.
- Anyone who has read any part of this book would know that it does address the needs of both people in the relationship, whether one - or both - were abused. To say that this book doesn't address the partners of survivors is ridiculous. This book is loaded with insightful information for both survivor and partner to assist in learning and dealing with the abuse. Indeed, parts of this book may not truly relate to your personal situation, but there parts that will, guaranteed.
Being a good partner means being open and receptive, to even the things we fear the most. While there are parts to this book that open new doors and create new challenges, this book provides great insight in how to face those challenges, and come out ahead. Can a book fix everything? No. But this is great place to start.
The book is loaded with quotes like: "You will also need to shift your focus from the survivor and the survivor's problems to yourself - your needs, your feelings, your history, and places you can grow." AND "Don't take care of the survivor. That's not your job in life. Take care of yourself."
Anyone who says this book can't help either didn't read it, or is too narrow-minded to know any better. Read this book. Read it with your partner, and share what your learn together.
- This book has brought sanity back to an insane process. This book will help you cope and understand what your partner is going through when engaged in a sexual abuse recovery. It brings hope back into what can feel like a helpless situation. It is a must read for those intimately involved in the recovery process.
- makes false allegations that they were sexually abused based on "recovered memories" as encouraged by Courage to Heal?
- A must read for anyone dealing with personal abuse or others who have been abused.
- A very good reference tool and was helpful to me. I've known about my partner's sexual abuse pretty much since we met. This helped me understand aspects of her behavoir; it's not directed at me because it's not about me. That's immensely helpful.

5 comments about Pimpology: The 48 Laws of the Game.
- DON'T BUY THIS, ALL HE DOES IS TALK ABOUT HOW HE MADE IT IN THE GAME & THE RULES THAT HE STOOD BY, NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOU "LIMPS". I READ IT JUST TO READ IT. BUT IF YOU READING IT TO BE A "PIMP" DON'T QUIT YOUR DAY JOB.
- Bottom line Pimpin Ken has pimped the game of life once again.
Any of these laws can be used as a road map to success in any career tract chosen.
It is apparent though he left out a large amount of the deep parts of the game of pimpin' but it is more information than any other book on this topic to date.
- That should be the title. Very few new things to learn. The rest can be found in other motivational books. It seems that he tried to fill pages of pimp knowledge with unrelated subjects to make a book.
- I have seen pimpin ken on tv and ddecided to see what his book was all about. After recieving the book I started reading it and was hooked..I read and re-read the book and really grapsed all the information. Do not let the book title fool you, this is more a motivational and information based book on how to better yourself. Great book and I would highly recommend it.
- After reading PIMPOLOGY, I would place it in the same category as Niccolo Machiavelli's THE PRINCE. Like he states in the book, he is NOT promoting the trafficking of flesh. However, he does give a lesson about human nature. When I read it, there were experiences he's had that I witnessed from my college coaches, former bosses and other characters in business. Just because his background deals with pimping at a street level, I'll go to what he states in the last chapter. He states that the oldest pimp game on Earth is the same as what builds nations: the control of money and people to achieve an objective or series of objectives.
It's really a book about power and how it's used as a means to an end. Besides, it may help the reader recognize when a "pimp" game is being run on them and devise a counterattack to the game.

5 comments about Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus Low Price CD.
- Great book. I found this very helpful in understanding both my son and my husband.
- This is an incredible CD to listen to while sitting at your computer, doing the dishes, or in the car. John Gray teaches his Mars Venus wisdom on this CD to start giving you the basic differences in men and women.
Great CD to own! Especially, listening to it in your car where you can hear it to over and over to learn how to apply them to your personal relationships. John Gray is an entertainer as well as a relationship expert. He does this with his knowledge and his dynamic personality.

- I am blown away by the things I learned in this CD!!! It has helped me so much in my relationship with my husband, and has also helped me to understand myself. I would recommend this CD to anyone and everyone!!! I just wish it was the full book, and not an abridgment.
- Definitely buy this CD if you don't have the time to read the book... it's a great introduction and you can listen to it while you're cleaning or making dinner...
- MY FRIEND HAD CD WITH SAME TITLE AND THAT CD HAD MORE INFORMATION THAN MINE

5 comments about The Complete Kama Sutra : The First Unabridged Modern Translation of the Classic Indian Text.
- The Kama-Sutra is an entertaining instructional manual, if you like. A lot of the stuff in there of course is ancient, and now will seem quite absurd, as though it was out of a story about witches and wizards cooking up potions and other stuff like that. Apart from that, though, it is quite amusing to see what they came up with.
- An excellent informative book.
Must be approached as a religion and not a list of sexual positions.
otherwise you will be disappointed.
D
- I have read both Sir Richard Burton's translation and this one, and I'm sorry to say that I like this one best (sorry because I have enormous admiration for Burton). It seems as though Danielou's version is much more accessible to modern readers, while Burton's translation is handicapped by the Victorian mindset under which he toiled.
I'd hasten to point out, however, that some of the ideas in this book are no longer viable. For example, biting and scratching are probably not the best means of expressing your appreciation for your partner.
- This is a great book my husband is actually reading it with me and he hates to read. It has also improved our marrige and love life
- I purchased this book after it being recommended by a friend of mine. While reading it, my husband comments "there sure aren't a lot of pictures. So if you're buying this book for "pictures" you will be disappointed. However if you have an actual interest in the history and meaning behind the Sutra, this books fer you!

5 comments about Necessary Losses: The Loves, Illusions, Dependencies, and Impossible Expectations That All of Us Have to Give Up in Order to Grow.
- I first bought this book over 20 years ago when I got divorced, and it helped me deal with that event as a loss. Frankly, I hadn't even realized that it even was a loss until I read Viorst's wonderful book. I was able also to reach back and deal with the death of my parents, the losses inherent in growing into middle age, and other things . . . even losing my first girl friend.
Since then I have given this book to numerous friends who have had to deal with losses. I hope that they put the book back into full print as it should be required reading for just about everyone.
- Great book, but you need to take a break now & then..its heavy going and CAN bring up your "stuff" my therapist recommended it...but even she admits that you need to read it slowly..and maybe a few times. It makes a lotta sense.
- The title caught my attention and I am so glad I bought it. Its one of the easiest books to read about moving on from losses and helps the reader understand that these losses are indeed, necessary. I have been a therapist for 15 years and have not come across such an engaging and practical book as this one. I myself am a slow reader but got through it in record time. Just do yourself and your loved ones a favor by reading this book!
- Sometimes we wonder why life is so damn tough and sad and tragic. Well, this book doesn't help to answer those questions or to make it seem any better, but it does normalize all of those feelings, and it does explore all of the normal and necessary losses people experience in their lives. My therapist recommended it to me when my not-good-for-me boyfriend broke up with me and in turn, facilitated some of my personal growth and taught me to deal with some really hard feelings. I learned that losing him was necessary to my own well-being. This book is great for everyone.
- Wow, this is a Judith Viorst I never knew about.
She really does a good and thorough job of laying out the necessity of losing and gaining our lives as we develop. AND, where we go off the rails when the "necessary losses" do not take place.
This is a useful book for me as a counselor, a Pastor, a human in development.

5 comments about Getting Ready for Marriage Workbook : How to Really Get to Know the Person You're Going to Marry.
- For the last four years I've used the Getting Ready for Marriage Workbook for pre-engagement and pre-marriage pastoral counseling and have been totally pleased. Virtually every important area which a couple will encounter during their marriage is covered. When used faithfully, the book will bring out potential areas of conflict and help clarify expectations concerning what married life with their partner will be like. The material is presented from a Christian perspective. While this may be a turn-off, as one reviewer commented, it is important that faith issues in general be a component of every pre-marriage discussion, as faith or lack of faith truly enters into a person's worldview and the manner in which family decisions are made. E.g., should I believe you will be faithful to me in our marriage relationship because I trust you and your word as an individual or because I believe you will be faithful to me because I believe your committment to God? In my view, even non-Christians will profit greatly from the materials covered in this book and need not take offense when matters of faith are addressed. My favorite feature of the workbook is the inclusion of covenants which the couple agree to (or determine to leave unagreed upon, at their peril in my opinion). E.g., the "Conflict Resolution Covenant," wherein the couple agrees to certain expectations, responsibilities, and ways of handling differences so as to minimize misunderstandings and deal with the inevitable conflicts constructively. My experience is that the covenants are very useful reminders and tools for promoting harmonius relations well after the marriage vows are taken. In my pastoral counseling I have found that the Getting Ready for Marriage Workbook can be covered thoroughly in five or six sessions with the couple completing a two-chapter assignment prior to each session. The sessions themselves become very productive as the couple will have already addressed the material covered and will arrive with issues that need additional attention, discussion, and insight. A separate workbook for each person is recommended but it is possible for the couple to share a book.
- We decided to get this book since we are not going through traditional pre-marriage counseling. It can be a little cheesy, but it definitely sparks great conversation and helps to really understand why you act the way you do in relationships.
- I suppose the book would had been better for me and mine if we were still 20. Very basic not bad but more for the younger couples.
- Unfortunately during dating couples often put on their best face (their social personality) and it's difficult to really get to know the person they are dating (both their social and the domestic personality). If you, as well as the person that you have been dating for a significant period of time (the longer the better) are strong Christians and are considering marriage, this book will help you to really get to know your potential future spouse before making the final decision. It's a good supplement to professional pre-marital counseling. This book is the text for the marriage course of Teen U.
- brings up some good questions. Your man will hate this book but you just have to ask sometimes lol. Good book.
