5 comments about Relax, This Won't Hurt: Painless Answers to Women's Most Pressing Health Questions.

1. Well, she IS my doctor and she is great. Though busy, has time for every question she mentions in the book. Informative, helpful, and caring. I would recommend this useful book.



2. After visiting four doctors, and not knowing what to expect next, because I wasn't getting any better, I was desperate, believe me. This book answered all my questions and described everything I was going through in detail, all pieces go together know. Thanks Dr. for taking time of your life to give us the precious gift of health knowledge.



3. This is a wonderful book for any woman from Teens to Age 100! It is like sitting down and having a chat with a friend who happens to be a doctor. There is no stuffiness, institutional reading but a concise place to learn about what is happening to your body as a woman ages, what tests she needs and what the results could be and possibly mean without causing panic. The reader doesn't feel like she is either being spoke down to or that the information is so technical, it flies over one's head.

   The reader is not only treated to knowledge to empower her to good health to grow old by but the material is also practically related in Dr. Reichman's sharing of her own stories.

   I think this is a must have for any woman's personal library!




4. What is impressive about this book is that it covers a wide range of women's health issues: hormone changes, osteoporosis, menopause, bladder infections, fertility/infertility, cancer, fibroids, endometriosis, high blood pressure, heart disease, and the importance of diet and exercise. While the book covers a vast variety of issues, there are some topics that are quite brief and not as detailed as you will find in other books. Although there are topics which cover virtually every age of a woman's life, the emphasis is placed on the teen years through to the thirties. If you are looking for a more in-depth book, you may find what you are looking for in "Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom" by Dr. Christiane Northrup, and if approaching menopause, be sure to read, "The Wisdom of Menopause" also by Dr. Christiane Northrup. Northrup's books are complete, in-depth, extremely well written and both are more than deserving of five-star ratings.



5. ... is that it is sectioned off according to age groups, like 20s, 30s, 40s, and so forth... which makes it difficult to pin- point a particular topic that you're interested in UNLESS it just happens to fall in your catagory OR you read the book from cover to cover. The layout of the book also suggests that if you are in your 20s, you need not worry about facing the types of probelsm listed for women in their 30s, which may not necessarily be true in all cases... It depends on the individual health profile of each female...

1. These 11 songs (One for each commandment and a very fun theme song) are real eyes openers for children and thier parents. A great way to learn not only the 10 Commandments, but to internalize thier meanings. Lots of fun and a perfect companion to DVD. (Highly recommended if you can find it anywhere.) I look forward to seeing more of this kind of product soon.

3. As a divorced father with every-other-weekend custody, I was grateful to Dr. Laura for this DVD until my eldest said I only followed two of the commandments. Pointing out there was no commandment against selling kids into slavery shut her up pretty fast!



4. My 6 y.o. Eva loved it as did Tsion and Meklete. They ran around screaming GOD'S TOP 10! all day - but the DR Laura butterfly is kinda weird - but the puppets are funny.



5. I have listened to Dr. Laura's radio show and read her books for several years, and this video is another winner! It uses cute puppet characters to present real world situations and examples of following (or breaking) the ten commandments; it is not too preachy, but presents it to kids in language they can understand. My kids love the songs, and I have to admit they are pretty catchy tunes. Parents can enjoyably watch this with their children, but children can also understand and enjoy it on their own. My kids are now 10 and 8, we've had this video a couple years, and they still watch it. Highly recommended!
