1. I have been comforted by this book. I first read this book 5 years ago and continue to do so. The author gets to the heart of the matter quickly, simply and accurately. I haven't been single all that time, but when things change this has been a mainstay for me to refer to for help through rough times. I can identify with her single 'types', the single pitfalls and coping strategies. Very good book.

1. This book uses positive anecdotes to ensure women that being a working mom is fine. I bought this book when I went back to work after having my first child. It seems that new moms are wrapped up in guilt on going back to work; however in today's society, the reality is that in most partnerships, both mom and dad end up working just to make ends meet.

   This book will give you a little extra boost to let you know that working will not be detrimental to your child. Love your child and be ensured that your child will benefit, whether you work or not.

1. I started reading not knowing exactly what to expect. I was quickly surprised and delighted to become involved with the "characters" and greedy to know what would happen next. I started the book on a Sunday morning and by late afternoon I had completed it - which only left me anticpating when the next book would be available so that I could continue the story with them.
   
   I loved that it was written for teens but also entertaining for adults. Can't wait for the next book! Keep them coming!

1. A great book. It helped to find that spiritual center within me. It does a great job of takeing me back to my earliest thoughts as a child and helps me understand how to understand and handle loss and grief throughout a life time. It helped me understand and recognize the spirit of God within me. I highly recommend it to be read to children and by children as well as adults. It will help them to be able to cope with loss in thier lives.
   It is a wonderful book !

3. I highly recommend this book! Especially now.........
   A lot has been happening lately.... a lot of tragedy in the past 4 years! Take Sept 11th, the war, the recent Tsunami, then all the Hurricanes. Surely a void has been plaguing our hearts waiting to be answered. This book, "The God-Shaped Hole" is like a comfort balm in the place that chills the heart pained with questions and uncertainty. Instead of feeling victimized, we find an uplifting voice soothing our spirits and honoring those we've lost. This book is great for those who have lost someone recently, for children needing to understand death, for people who fear what lies beyond the veil of life when they die, for why these bad things have to happen, and for those in the professional practice of grief, 'death & dying' and spiritual growth. I've met some amazing people recently who rode through and survived hurricane Katrina....Grandma ( a character in Angell's book) is that great soul who takes the pain life bears with a kind of spiritual dignity much like these amazing souls who lost everything but themselves and select loved ones. She (Grandma)is strong and reveals the mystery we all need to hear through her grandson Joey's eyes.

1. Coming Face to Face with Your "Inner ME" is a deeply moving book that engages the reader to be part of the book rather than just an observing audience. Anyone who has been wounded or is seeking the road to inner peace will recognize him or herself in the book and will feel a personal connection with the author.

   I felt the author's pain as I equated the parallels in my life. It was as if I was making the journey alongside him.

   The ideas conveyed in the book are explicit yet mind blowing. Their profound meanings penetrate one's rational, emotional and spiritual being.

   I'm thankful for the author's generosity in sharing his wisdom and pain, as countless people will be ushered by his work to a more fulfilling life. This is a truly inspirational writing about dignified human triumph over life's great tragedies.




2. Hassan El-Amin makes use of the ultimate case study, his life. The result, a blueprint for self-knowledge and self discovery. The author's notion of the Inner Child and how it influences our adult lives is very compelling. The author's words like a key began to unlock and open the door to my own journey of self-discovery. The book is formatted and edited for an easy read, without all the typical "bells and whistles" associated with other books in this genre.



3. I have read many books on growing up as child of an alcoholic and the dysfunction that goes along with this chldhood trauma. Usually I can not put the books down. I found this book to be just another story of an abusive family life. It was not informative and could no keep my interest. I was very disappointed.



4. Never have I read a book so touching and revealing. Coming Face to Face with Your ýInner Meý gave me a rare opportunity to journey through the mind of a child of an alcoholic and in the process helped me understand why facing our past is essential for our spiritual growth. The writerýs journey not only takes you into his past but helps you discover the injured innocence thatýs inside us all. You donýt have to be a child of an alcoholic to understand and relate to his struggles and final triumph. This is as much a book about discovering our humanity in the midst of pain and hardship as it is about healing our broken heart and nourishing our soul. I highly recommend this book and thank the author for having the courage to write such an incredible book.



5. Hassan El-Amin opens the book with an extraordinary chapter on the description of our inner child. This inner child can either be nutured or neglected and manifests itself subconciously throughout our lives via our thoughts and our actions.

   This is truly the seed of self discovery, the first square for everyone who is ready, willing and able to embark on the journey of self actualization.

   I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have my eyes opened for the very first time, to explore and nuture my inner child.
